Max came to our rescue when we were moving out of our place in Jefferson and the U-Haul couldn t make it up the driveway. He was patient, knowledgeable and optimistic the entire 2 hours that it took to dig us out. Well done Max!

Excellent service by an extremely competent and calming professional! D came to our rescue when our car broke down and we were stranded on the shoulder of I-70 on a very busy Sunday afternoon in Summit County. Needless to say, it was a very stressful moment with 18 wheelers barreling by us at high speeds. D arrived as promised and safely loaded our vehicle onto the flatbed truck. Then safely took both the car and us to the dealer in our home community 90+ miles away. His pleasant personality and professional skills were so appreciated. We would highly recommend both Ski Country Auto Repair and Towing and their employee D .

Excellent, fast service from a locally-owned shop. We hit a massive pothole while passing through Frisco on I-70 and Pavel squeezed us in for some pretty serious work. Their time and cost estimates were both reasonable and accurate, and they got us back on the road within a day. They were even able to recommend some shops in Denver for follow-up work on some newly-discovered (but not as pressing) issues. Thanks, Ski Country!

They tried charging me $3600 for my busted radiator swap and new hoses and a coolant flush. I talked with many people and they told me this was way too much for my issue. I believe that because I was a girl traveling in my camper they knew I didn t have another diesel mechanic to tow it to close by. Don t go here, they ll try to rip you off. They also charged me $250 for telling me the issue that I already knew. I know that a fee is pretty standard, but they didn t warn me. Also I have a social media following and I will probably be sharing this story as well as telling my subscribers not to go to this mechanic. Don t like manipulation in this company. Seriously do not go here.

I and family visited summit county CO during Christmas. Our car a 2018 VW Atlas showed low coolant. I drove the car to this shop. They asked $149 to do a check. So I paid. After a couple of hours, they called me. The person or manager Josh told me that the car had a coolant leak and need to replace radiator. The cost is $5000 because they have to remove everything in the front in order to replace a new radiator. By the way, they have to order the radiator and it will take at least a week. Meanwhile the car is not drivable. They would not let me drive the car. If I drive the car, their shop won t fix the car for me. I had to sign a release paper when I Insisted that I had to take the car back to my friend house. My friend knows cars. As my friend s instructions, I added coolant and added radiator stop leak. And then drove the car back home. I called our local car shop to replace radiator. They asked $1200 (both parts and labor). Looking back, it seems that Josh tried to trick me. Maybe because I am an Asian female. I know nothing about cars. Luckily I have friends who at least know that $5000 is an outrageous price to fix a coolant leak or replace a radiator. I will not recommend anyone to this place unless you want to get robbed.

Out car had brake/rotor issues coming downI-70 . We were able to get the car in and repaired in just 2 days. Much peace of mind since we had to go over 2 more mountain passes. This place was kind, concerned and thorough. Thank you!

I was given an estimate by a front range dealer for a repair on my 2017 Tacoma. Having lower mileage, it was going to be a surprise major repair. I went to Ski Country for a second opinion. Comparing the two experiences, Ski Country was very professional, communicated clearly on the issue and did a deeper dive on the problem. The end result was Ski Country advised me to go back to the dealer for the repair, losing out on a potential $9k repair. I have a great deal of respect for that.

Generally pleasant and professional in dealing with me as a customer. However, Bevill?, gave me a quote of $1300 to replace the plugs on my 2004 Ford F150. I thought this was high and he then challenged me to find a cheaper price. Well, I called Larry Miller Ford and Phil Long and both gave me a$6-700 price for the work. When I told him the price, his only response was that his computer gave him that price and that's what it was. He also said that on my truck, sometimes the plug breaks off when they try to remove them so they charge more because they then might have to remove the head to get the plug out of the cylinder. What the heck? That's admitting that they are most likely going to mess it up. The response I would have expected was more like, "let me talk to the manager/Owner and see if we'll match the quotes you got. And maybe quote you separately for an additional amount if the plugs break when trying to remove them." But to double the regular rate up front on the off-chance that they might run into trouble when they try to remove the plugs is unfairly overpriced for the work. On the plus side, I let them change my oil and change the differential oil for about $915 which I guess was a fair price.

I appreciated the continual testing of parts that was done prior to repair. There was no guessing and just throwing in parts. I received diagnostic results via email. They kept me well informed of problems along with solutions to resolve my problems.

Awesome service. In the midst of the recent winter storm you were able to actually answer my call and tow my vehicle when AAA was so overwhelmed they couldn t respond. In fact, 24 hours after you towed my Yukon to your shop, AAA called me to say they could finally dispatch someone to tow it. Josh, Pavel and your staff were also stretched I m sure, but you got it done !! my Yukon needed repair and your knowledge snd service were greatly appreciated. Thanks

Went to get an alignment and they said they couldn t do it because of two seized bolts. Then I went home and was able to get the bolts off. They also charged me $119 for a front end inspection after they didn t do anything to my truck and actually made it drive worse. So I definitely won t be going back there and I won t go back there for the company I work for either. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND they only want your money!

This is a HUGE shoutout to Dave who helped me tremendously back in August after my car ran out of oil 2 hours away from home. He was extremely patient, friendly, flexible, and very knowledgeable! He provided some great advice on what may be happening to my car and what are some good next steps. He was also VERY easy to talk to and made me feel super calm and comfortable during a very distressing time. The lady I spoke to when I first called was also very nice and transferred me to someone else (Dave) who could better assist me with the issue I was having with my car. I would HIGHLY recommend this company if you are ever in need of a tow in the area. 10/10 service!Service: Special vehicle towing

They were quick, curtious, and gave me an extensive and thorough report of all of the things that they checked on my car. I was very impressed with how much work they put in to checking that my car was safe and in good working order. They even took the time to explain everything to me.

If I could rank 8 stars I would. These guys where kind, fast, effective and 100% reliable. Sean made us felt safe when our driver was left out in the middle of the mountain.Instead of taking advantage, he helped us save and make things easier.Thank you so much!

Our truck was in a tough spot. After a crazy storm that left the road nearly impassable. The highway patrol wasn't confident Jerry could get the truck out. But only did he get it out, but with no damage to the truck. He was great to work with. Jerry is the best in the business. Thank you.Service: Special vehicle towingService: Special vehicle towing

Truck overheated on I70 (loose cap...thanks Jiffy Lube). Called Ski Country and Bonnie (super nice) said she would have a driver to us in about 30 minutes. It was literally a couple minutes and Chris R. (Super cool and was nice chatting with) pulled up next to us. Towed us back into Frisco to Napa for antifreeze. Hopefully truck doesn t overheat again but if it does, I know who we will call. 10 stars!!!

Just purchased new tires. When I got in my vehicle the dash gauge said the rear tires were low. The young man told me, they are fine. Another person went in and informed Josh who had the young man check all the tires. Now the over inflated to 50 PSI! They assured me they were at 40 PSI, yet my dash gauge said 49-50 for all tires. Josh said I just checked and they are all at 40. Well, either Josh doesn t know how to use a tire gauge or their gauge is broken. I drove directed to the automotive store, purchased a truck tire gauge and all tires were at 50 PSI! This is totally unacceptable as I just paid well over a thousand dollars for new tires!!! I will never go back there!Service: Tires

Was passing through and they were able to sneak me in to repair a flat in my rental car. While I was waiting I watched their internal interaction about customers and their cars as well as the direct interaction with customers. They clearly have a long term vision and act as an advocate for their customers to keep them on the road now as well as letting them know about what will coming up. If I lived in the area, this is the shop I would be going to.Service: Tires

Scott was the absolute best. I must have picked up a nail somewhere after Salt Lake City because by the time I reached Frisco my tire was over it. Stayed at the Ramada next door and in the morning called Ski Country. They got me in right away and patched the tire, taking the time to explain how they did it as well (which I greatly appreciated). The whole team was friendly and quick. I feel so lucky to have come across them in my time of need, they truly delivered!

While on vacation, my husband and I had a flat tire. Ski Country Auto Repair came to our rental home, changed our flat and put on a spare. We drove it to their shop where they put on a new tire. They also fixed the alignment and showed us an issue with another tire. We are so thankful they went above and beyond what they were asked to do because they potentially helped us avoid future troubles on the road. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend if you re in the Frisco area.

Had to come in to fix a flat tire after my girlfriend ran over a large drywall screw. They plugged the tire quickly and for an incredibly reasonable price. The people inside of the shop were very kind as well.

My wife and I use these guys for all of our auto repair needs. They are honest and do quality work. Josh and the service advisors are good people, and take the time to explain how the car works, and gives honest advice like "these tires will get you through the summer" and that sort of thing. With high mileage vehicles, in Summit, a good mechanic is a must and we trust Ski Country 100%!
