Transwest Summit Bodyworks was a great place to work. Unfortunately I got hired months before Covid hit the US in 2020. I wish I would have stuck it out with them. I now regret leaving the company, though at the time I thought it was in the best interest of my small family. If you want to be a part of something special, apply and if selected accept the position with Summit Bodyworks.

My husband purchased a 2020 Used freightliner from an individual who bought the truck from summit Bodyworks brand new. Since summit built the truck we called them on a Thursday mid-day to ask if we could purchase a mini fridge from them and/or if they could tell us if we needed to change or alternate anything to make the fridge work. The guy advised he would call back later. Well Friday then Monday comes around and no call back so my husband called monday afternoon and they advise him first of all that they can NOT sell us a fridge for the truck (even though they install them), and that they can NOT even tell us if the wiring would be heavy enough to carry it because they can't be liable for it. Not sure why they would be liable if they could just round about confirm that the fridge would work on the wiring installed. Needless to say We will never purchase a new truck from Summit Bodyworks because their customer service is not good at all. So disappointed that I had to call them back to find out.

Purchased a new MAC Tools Truck from this company. With any build regardless of manufacturer there are things that arise, we basically live in these truck. I can say it happened with LDV and has happened with others. What s the difference is; is the service department and the QC team. Anytime I ve had issue they make me feel as though I m a priority and give me any support needed. They don t blame they find resolutions. I highly recommend this company!

I purchased a Freightliner MT45 from Summit Bodyworks 10 months ago for use as a tool truck . Upon delivery of the truck, the right rear axle is pouring gear oil from the seal, which is not a Summit component but I don't see how they could not have seen all of the fluid being slung on the truck.First thing I noticed, was there are very few drawers in the interior but plenty of space for at least 3 more even considering the heater ductwork use of space. 2nd was the above $2000 delivery charge from Colorado to Mississippi, the only reason I opted for delivery was that I could not be at their facility during their operating hours to take delivery of the truck. 3rd was the extremely cheap radio antenna that will only receive 2 stations in a 50 mile radius, I have checked multiple vehicles and can receive over 15 channels with any other radio. 4th, the USB/ 12 volt power source quit working 2 months after purchase. They sent a new 1 for me to install, so no big deal. I almost forgot about the additional option beverage cooler that was not even plugged in upon arrival, no problem except for I had to cut a hole in the interior to access the 110 volt receptacle and the temperature adjustment is somewhere behind the cooler, inaccessible. 5th is the use of "butt connectors on every electrical component installed, which in the professional world, are for temporary use only. And the worst is, the useless alarm that goes off at random. I understand that it has motion detection, but I have witnessed it triggering wit no movement within the truck. Also, if the alarm is armed at any time, the right front headlamp will not illuminate for at least 1 day. Leaving the alarm disarmed will eventually rectify the immediate situation. I have tried many different scenarios, and it always comes back to alarm activation and yes, I have checked circuitry immediately at the bulb.Lastly, the rear view camera is poor in quality and installation, I can't enen use it so I just cut it off.All in all, it seems they used the cheapest components available with far less than stellar installation of my truck anyway.Hopefully, mine is a rare occasion of extremely poor luck. This company was highly recommended by the tool distributor that I was going to work for but I have warned new dealers to research this heavily.

Bought a brand new MAC tools truck so I could focus on work without worrying about a used vehicle but that s not the case in 7 months I ve hade 3 weeks of down time because of issues with this truck don t give them your money if you want something dependable

Summit Bodyworks exceeded our expectations on every level. Working with Adan, we had our agency's 2016 Metris courier van modified exactly the way we wanted it. Even though this was a small job for them , we were treated as if we were spending much more. On time, as promised, and very professional. Thank you!

This place is awesome! The things they are able to do with specialty vehicles is pretty crazy. One of the supervisor's was showing me around and I was just amazed by their projects they had going on. I wanted to take some pictures but I didn't want to ask since it was during an interview haha.

The truck that I have bought off them has been poorly built All the wiring is the same color red Nothing is labeled For the wiring so it's a guessing game Poorly designed AC I've had to ac 5 time Due to poor design Been rounding off the Box of theTruck Wish I would've went with someone else for my work vehicle

Very professional to work with, on time and informative though out the whole process. M2 is more than I expected in a new Tool Truck, should have bought it sooner
