Ordered a hiker trailer through a company that they purchased. Pick up was easy, paperwork was all in order and the walk through was quick and easy. And they had other trailers and vans on display. Great staff.

I needed a heater for my Toy-Hauler. I looked at the diesel heaters and the propane. After doing some research and watching a boat load of videos, I decided on the Propex 2800. I called Van Cafe and John answered all my questions, was very patient and very helpful. The ordering was painless and it got to me quickly and without damage. The only problem I had was resetting the thermostat, it says in the instructions to use a SMALL paper clip, well I used a medium and it was not going through the hole, my bad. I called John, he walked me trough it and the heater fired right up. I did however fell as dumb as a bag of rocks. In closing I am very happy with the heater and can not say enough about the customer service. The only small thing I could complain about and it has nothing to do with Van Cafe is Propex only includes two clamps for the metal intake and exhaust tubes. With my installation two more would have got the job done. I made a couple out of perforated metal strap and they are working fine. Van Cafe is a very good company and so far the Propex is working great.

Nice online webshop. Great way to add roof rack to our custom build. One of the few that doesn't interfere with our solar panels. The ladder provides easy access to our roof

RMW is a reliable go-to place for VW bus/vans in Colorado and surrounding areas. It has been in the business for decades and their mechanics are top notch. I have purchased many upgrades for my '89 Westy there, including a rebuilt transmission install. Van owners are lucky to have them in the region. Mike cares about his customers and sometimes hosts customer gatherings.

Very happy with service and products. Installed a propex heater on teardrop camper which required some customization. We camped comfortably in subzero temperatures! Also welded hitch sleeves under doors for weathertech steps. Everything was installed as discussed. Highly recommend.

We purchased a Propex van heater and accessories from Van Cafe during the pandemic. The challenge of a new van conversion is that you must install a safe propane tank enclosure and plumbing in addition to the heater itself. Propex shipped the heater promptly and provided good support via both email and phone to help us through the install process. Great vendor!

Great business, great employees, very warm and welcoming. If you have an adventure vehicle from Volkswagen Vanagons to Eurovans and Sprinters, look these guys up and check out their products and services. Looking forward to doing more business with them in the future.

Worked with Mike and Mike to get a large order placed for bumpers, swing-aways, rock sliders and a ladder. There were some struggles, but Mike and Mike went above to make sure I was happy with the service from Van Cafe and Rocky Mountain Westy. The quality of the products and the uniqueness of what they offer is second to none.

Picked up a Propex HS2000 heater from these guys for my camper build. Very good price and good customer service. However they charge you 5.00 to pick up from their business.

We had our vanagon converted to a Subaru engine here and now my husband has fallen in love with this shop. I feel like we should become stock investors for all we have bought from them. Clean shop. Professional service.

I wanted to say thank you to Kelli in the warehouse department. I bought front and back bumpers and they realized after shipping that a single nut was incorrect. They took the time to send the single correct nut with a picture and instructions. Thanks for the great customer support!!!

The guys at Rocky Mountain Westy are fantastic. They really know their stuff and work hard to get you back on the road quickly. I was about to head out for a week long trip with my Westy when my fuel pump started buzzing loudly. I called them up and they got me in and out on a Friday morning with a new fuel pump and filter. Running smooth again and I'm off on my trip. Thanks guys.

RMW is an awesome shop to get work done to your Vanagon! I had to get some repairs done before my trip back to NJ, and they got me right in! Everyone that works here is super nice and willing to help in every way possible! Mark, Mike and Josh definitely made my visit enjoyable and will definitely coming back for a tune-up!Thanks again Rocky Mountain Westy!

Dropped our '86 Vanagon off for new motor. Mark answered all of our questions, didn't sugarcoat anything, wasn't a hippie who thinks VWs are a religion and gave us a full tour of the shop. These guys are smart and stand by their work. Based on correspondence and our visit, this is the place to bring your van and get it fixed right.

People are kind And friendly. But more than once I have received wrong parts. Also friends that order have experienced the same. They don t rush the next order and will only send through mail. So if your in a hurry to get on the road these are not the folks to order from. They say they are sorry but do not understand or seem to care that waiting three weeks for a part is not cool and is costly to the customer. Nor do they seem to right the wrong with a credit or anything.I like van cafe but they lack on service and accuracy

I unfortunately had a very poor experience with Van Cafe. I ordered a new torque converter from them which according to their website was supposed to be rebuilt and checked by German transaxle. When I received the TC it was manufactured completely wrong and was rebuilt by Precision of New Hampton in Iowa. Van cafe went ahead and let me talk to German transaxle directly. Which ended up being me project managing the whole ordeal with nobody really taking the initiative to expedite any of this. After weeks of delays I get the right TC unfortunately from Precision in Iowa as German Transaxle dosent supply their own anymore (I learned this later on). At the end of the day I paid for a lower quality part from people who can't, or just don't, even use the Metric system on European parts. Neither of the TC's were even quality checked by German Transaxle yet I paid for a quality part from them. I install the new TC and planned on crossing the country anyways but decided to stop at Van Cafe to talk to the owner about my issue. He agreed some things went wrong and was willing to refund me his markup bassed off the quality of the product. He also agreed to go ahead and reach out to German Transaxle to see if they could refund their mark up as they messed up too. I SHOOK HIS HAND on this and left with some confidence about the issue. Unfortunately I have better things to do than project manage for Van Cafe as a customer and nothing ever came from that conversation and handshake. I still have paid for a top quality TC but don't have one!!

I bought my first VW Syncro in December 2013 and RMW has been a great partner in keeping it running. They fixed the cooling/timing issues we had with its SVX engine. Then they fixed all our CVs and axels. We added some new RMW bumpers and love how we can haul our motorcycles and pull our raft. This month, they put in a new H6 engine and mounted a solar panel for aux power. Our van wouldn't be nearly as awesome without Mike and Rocky Mountain Westy!

Just called them asking about an install for a propex heater. Spoke to "Josh" the mechanic. After going thru pricing and such, and explaining I didn't know how to exactly install one, and him informing me they were 3-4 weeks out. I said "thank you for your time I will call" he abruptly hung up on me. I didn't even finish my sentence, which was going to "acouple of other shops to see if they are available, then I'll call back if they are not to set up an appointment'very rude to just hang up on a interested customer.Considering it just snowed ALOT and I am currently living in my bus. That was absolutely uncalled for.

Went looking to a competent VW outfit here in Ft Collins to do work on my 87 Waterbox Van. Thought these guys were out of business? Not the sort of outfit I could recommend. Brought in a Vangon for simple bearing replacement, electric window adjustment, radiator flush and got back a wobbly wheel, two badly adjusted windows sans wiring boots, and the electric radiator fan only has a single stage? I don't know how they get by with the Go-"Westy" tradename? They are not anywhere near those VW-pros IMHO.

Great down to earth folks. Willing to work with you on hard to find diagnostics. They buck the trend of the impersonal world, and sincerely care about the Westy culture. In a way they embody the spirit of the van, to be uniquely excellent. They are a Westy oasis in the middle of the country.
