I brought my car in last fall because the air conditioner had stopped working. They informed me that the compressor had a hole in it and that the system needed to be recharged and quoted me ~$1000 for repairs. I was told that they saw a hole in the compressor. I declined to repair it at that time. A month ago I took it to another mechanic. He was unable to locate a hole in the compressor. He recharged the a/c and it has been working since.I do not know what happened that they notified me there was a hole in the compressor but I am grateful that I decided against the repair.I gave two stars instead of one because they were responsive in getting my car into the shop on short notice and they were polite.

I had a headlight out on my 2006 Prius, which my husband looked at changing. In the end, I said let's just have someone else do it, it looks too complicated. I called Firestone and spoke to Mike, who was super friendly and helpful. They had a cancellation this afternoon so I was able to get my car in the same day. They replaced the bulb quickly, and I'm a very satisfied customer! Thank you Firestone of Durango!

My SUV was overheating on my way to work the other morning. I made a few calls around town to different auto repair shops. This one stood out because they were willing to look at my vehicle the next day! I dropped my car off Tuesday after work, they were able to look at it at 8am Wednesday morning and replace the water pump right then. I picked up my repaired vehicle Wednesday after work. Amazing service, reasonable price, good central location, friendly employees, and quality repairs. What more can you ask for.

Posting under wife's account. I got new tires and a 4 wheel alignment. The entire process was easy, efficient, and hassle free. It was a great experience and I plan on returning as a future customer.

don t ever come to this place unless you want an absolutely terrible experience had a scheduled appointment for 11:00 am a week ahead of time went in and the owner specifically said they don t have time for the appointment I SCHEDULED A WEEK AHEAD OF TIME drove 60 miles just to get told their to busy would give 0 stars but it s not option for a terrible establishment like this one.

If you value punctuality DO NOT GO HERE!!!I scheduled to have my car serviced and was informed that a part needed to be ordered and to return a few days later. I came back to get the service done (after putting in PTO for work) to be told the part was never ordered and I d have to come back another day. I came back and my brake service was done. Immediately, I noticed a loud screeching coming from my wheel-well on the right side. I brought the car back to this location a few days later and informed them that since my service was done I ve noticed a screeching on the RIGHT side. After not getting an update, I come back to find that they have removed the left side tires when I clearly told them it s coming from the right side. I wait in the waiting room for an hour just for the technician to tell me the problem was on the right side. Absolutely will not be returning.

I have a recurring problem with a persnickety tire pressure sensor. It starts blinking for no good reason every 2 or 3 months. Todd and the gang never fail to help me out and reset the sensor with a smile.

We went in for a tire repair while on vacation and while they were not able to fix the tire they were able to find us a tire very reasonably priced! We appreciated the honesty, friendliness and Quick check out. Mike and Todd are both great. Highly recommend this place!

I can't say enough about this place. Bought a set of tires from these folks 2 years ago. Stopped in today with a flat. Not only they repaired it, the didn't charge. Service like that are very rare. Competent, friendly and honest. If I'm anywhere within a 150 miles of Durango, this is the place I'll have my car serviced.

Anytime I need new tires I go here. By far the best service in the area. Everyone is so nice and professional, the work is done quickly and very well. This business has been here almost 40 years for a reason. Thank you guys, everyone that works here, for doing such a great job everytime. Next time I need tires I'll be back, the tires are so good it might be a couple years highly recommend this business, personally, I'll never go anywhere else. Thank you.

We were in town for the weekend with a rental car. The morning we set to leave, we found a screw in our tire and needed it patched ASAP. We told them our situation and they had us on the road in 45 minutes. They were super busy with the whole day booked with appointments and immediately took us in and fixed our issue. Thank you so much, you have no idea how much we appreciate your kindness.

Absolutely fabulous service!!! We came to Durango pulling our 5th wheel and had brake problems coming down Wolf Creek Pass. The employees got us in to see if we had more problems with our breaker and we did. They got us taken care and ready to get back on the road. The web site says customers are #1 and oh boy they proved it!! They were so pleasant and caring for us!!! I only gave 5 stars because there wasn t a 10+ option!!!

I just had a wonderful experience at this location. The owner, Mike, worked with me personally to understand the worked needed on my car. He took in consideration my budget and was able to make me feel comfortable with my repair decisions. They have gained a new loyal customer for as long as I am in Durango.

Ok service but I could tell that they where trying to sell me unnecessary replacements and to top it off I went in for a alignment and was driving down my road and my tie rod completely fell off lucky it wasn t on the highway I don t know if they didn t tighten the bolt holding it on tight enough or if they didn t put the coter pin back in. What ever it was it is unacceptable. Overall nice people but the macanic obviously hasent been doing it for very long.

Great repair! The guys pushed my car from the filling station, where it conked out, and diagnosed and replaced the starter in a short time. Really appreciate their courteous and friendly service.

I was road tripping through Durango when I noticed some brake problems. I wanted to get it looked at before driving further into the mountains. Luckily they were able to squeeze me in same day. Their staff was friendly and very honest. They did a great job of explaining the problems they found and as well as the proposed solutions. Brakes are good as new now! I would highly recommend them.

Nicki and the whole team at Firestone Durango are always honest, helpful, and so pleasant to work with. Not only that, but they are knowledgeable and always looking for the most efficient way to solve any issue. The service is fast and the customer service is superb. We have had numerous bad experiences with other establishments being untimely and dishonest and overpriced. But Nicki and firestone are in a league of their own. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

I can't express how awesome these guys are. Extremely honest and dependable. I've dealt with several shops in town, even ones with the highest reviews and this shop is the best. Great mechanical service and the best customer care. Mike and his team are great!

We were on vacation in Ouray from San Diego when we experienced a brake problem. We drove the 2hrs over to Durango, and they made accommodations to squeeze us in. They went above and beyond to uncover a problem that was overlooked by another shop to get us back on the road for a safe trip home! VERY knowledgeable and friendly, definitely recommend them!

Had one of the tires I needed after popping through the sidewall and my usual tire place in town would have had to order it. They got me in the next day, the appointment took 15 minutes or so, and I was on my way. They forgot to put a piece of my hubcap back on, but I called and they had it and kept it for me for over a week until I got back to town. Good stuff.

They didn't tighten the oil pan cap on my car after my oil change, so ALL of the new oil drained out. Luckily, I noticed the puddle under my car the next day and avoided a blown engine...True professionals

These guys are great. It is difficult to find a mechanic who does not try to sell me on a lot of other things. I have always felt that they do the work that I need now, not what I need six months or a year from now, or maybe even something I never need. Although this Firestone is not a complete service mechanic, they are a great first stop for me. They have diagnosed a few things and told me which other mechanic in town can take care of me. It has been an excellent service. Other than service work, I have also purchased tires here. I am a satisfied customer. Plus, I have always felt that their charges were reasonable.

Such a pleasure to be treated politely, genuinely, honestly, and friendly. Seriously, stop by, do some business with some real human locals. The guys in the back and their super are hard working, technically knowledgeable, and willing to go above and beyond, even after the clock says closing time. Enjoy the smell of fine quality new tires while you relax in their tidy, dog friendly , well lit waiting room. *Paying it forward kindness in rare form.

I was told that I needed an new alternator, decided to get a second opinion. I was able to my battery tested immediately and simply needed a new battery. They had an Interstate battery that was installed the same day. Bert was very kind and I am grateful for his honesty!

We stopped in with a very mysterious and annoying alarm while traveling on the road from Santa Fe to Durango with our Honda Insight. They talked us through the problem over the phone while we were on the road and we brought our car to the shop the next morning. The folks at Firestone of Durango were the most helpful and professional I've ever experienced having work done on my car. They spent hours determined to figure out what was wrong and were able to replace the needed part immediately. I would definitely recommend to anyone with a tire issue!

One employee was very nice and filled my low tire. I said that I had a quick appointment but I will come back if you can fix it. He said great! I went back and some guy which acted like and somewhat appeared to be the owner said disrespectfully, "Do you have an appointment? Well its not gonna happen till late this afternoon. I got a line up." Very rude! Would not recommend to anyone who wants any sort of respect!
