I m really disappointed with this place and I genuinely thought they were on top of their stuff, but right now as I write this I m sitting in my broke down truck in the middle of the street having just picked it up from their shop. I went in for a check engine light and almost two weeks later they tell me it was the fuel filter. As I listen to my hazard lights blink steadily in the background I think it s probably not the fuel filter. Of course I called them and asked for a refund, which they did do and they even offered to send out a tow truck. I could only think why on earth would I take my truck back to a place that has proven it can t be trusted to find and fix the issue? They also lost my keys and I had to go in to see if they still even had my vehicle because I couldn t get ahold of anyone. Maybe they do really good work but they didn t do it for me.

I had an 8 am appointment for a simple emissions test and VIN verification. At 9:15 I started asking questions about what they were doing that takes so long. This is usually a 10 or 15 minute job elsewhere. I pressed the owner, Steve, about what was taking so long. He's easily offended, so he called his guy and had him give me the car back. Wasted over an hour of my time. I took it a mile down the road to L&N, and was out of there in literally 16 minutes with paperwork and everything. Don't let Steve waste your time.

Steve and his crew are great! They looked over my daughter's old car that she inherited from her grandpa and checked it for safety and fixed a couple of issues that needed work. Honest and open about the needed repairs and friendly in all correspondence. Highly recommend!

Extremely disappointed with my experience with this shop. Was having issues with my truck not being able to start in cold temperatures, just cranking indefinitely. After having it towed here, I was misquoted a completion date 3 times and finally got the truck back two weeks later. Was told the issue was the clutch rod not disengaging the safety switch and allowing the truck to start. Picked it up on a warm afternoon and everything seemed to be working great, then the next morning it was the same issue, just cranking and cranking. Clearly the shop didn t even try starting it on a cold morning when the issue would be present. Was very hopeful about this shop after reading the great reviews but I ve now wasted two weeks without a vehicle and am right back at square one.

Stumbled upon Steve's to get an emissions test for my diesel VW Golf and in the process, I think I found a new mechanic. Honest, reliable and friendly.

Upon leaving Denver to return home to WA state our converted ambulance lost power. We thankfully found Steve s Automotive. The owner Steve replace the fuel filter and a broken turbo hose clamp. In a couple hours our vehicle was repaired and we were on our way. We highly recommend this family owned company. Thank you Steve!!!

We own three high mileage vehicles, and Steve is our go to guy! We appreciate his expertise and honesty. He keeps our cars running smoothly at an affordable price. Steve is excellent about letting us know what needs to be done now, and what can wait until later. He does not try to up sell you on additional repairs the way most shops do. Highly recommend!

Steve and his crew are absolutely amazing!!! Our truck broke down, pulling a 41 foot camper! We were towed 60 miles to Steve's shop! He had our truck diagnosed and the problem fixed in an hour!! We were so grateful he was able to help us... and right at closing time!! Thank you again so so much!!!!

Steve is amazing! He always takes the time and explains the estimates to me. I never leave there feeling as if I am being talked into things I do not need. Any work he's done has always held up. He's honest and reliable! As long as I am in the Denver area he is the only person I trust with my vehicle repair needs.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND.We had an issue with our Durango As soon as we called him, he referred us to the towing company he works with the whole process went very smooth. From start to finish, pleasant and professional. I flew in from out of town to take a look at a 2006 freightliner sprinter camper van. I brought it to Steve to perform a pre-purchase inspection and am beyond impressed with him and his team. They did a very thorough inspection of the van and were honest with both parties about what they found. I would recommend anyone in the Denver area bring their van here. They always do a great job and are reasonably priced for quality work. Incredibly nice, and will let you know what needs to be done and what can wait. We had a problem with our sprinter van in the midst of a 14 hour drive and we needed it checked out and fixed quickly. Steve was able to squeeze us in and get us ready to go for another long drive. 10 STARS!!!All you could ever want in a mechanic. Integrity, competence, communication and fair pricing. Our son's truck suffered a mechanical issue on his way to the Denver airport coming home for Thanksgiving from college. He was able to get the truck to offsite airport parking and make his flight. When he got home we spoke with our local diesel shop and the prognosis was not good. The vehicle needed to be towed and the repair GUESS included removing the entire cab and replacing several parts, costing us somewhere north of $3000. From 800 miles away I found Steve's Auto on the internet. His reviews sounded great but it was still very unnerving. I called and spoke with Steve to get a feel for him and if his shop was capable of such a significant repair. He said he was and told me to call his contracted towing company and he would just add it to the bill. He was able to quickly get the truck in for diagnosis and discovered it was just a simple part, easy to get to and would be back on the road very soon. Including the tow, parts and labor the total bill was a touch over $500. Our son drove down from Laramie to pick up his truck and was a little past closing due to an accident slowing Denver traffic. Steve said it was not a problem and he would wait. I could not imagine using anyone other than Steve's Automotive, Diesel & Truck in the state of Colorado for any and all of your automotive needs! Forgot to post this immediately after my visit, but had a fantastic experience here!Long story short, in September, my new wife and I were on our honeymoon, driving back to Illinois from California in our campervan, and had a last-minute route change due to Lake Tahoe having a fire.I called, and Steve answered, so I explained the situation, and asked about having an oil change a few days later, when we would arrive in Denver. He agreed, and said we can make that work.Upon arrival, we expected a couple of hours to be needed, so we dropped the keys off and walked about a mile east to the Safeway to grab some coffee.When we returned, and the oil change had been completed, Steve asked if either of us had happened to smell any diesel, and I thought to myself "maybe", and would have when getting gas. He showed us this Y coupling, and it had started to rust just enough to allow for a little bit of gas to spew.He dropped everything and ran to a local automotive parts store, and when he got back, he said it's very likely this will work. Sure enough, it did, and we were able to drive the 1,000+ miles home. I was very impressed by the creativity Steve had, since this didn't seem like something that had an obvious fix, but he was able to find one, and get us back on the road in a couple of hours.Can't thank him enough!

We were on our way from NYC to Las Vegas in our diesel Sprinter van when we got the dreaded 10 starts remaining warning light.We called a bunch of mechanics and not one said they would help us. Mercedes Dealers includedSteve was the only guy who said he would take care of us, and after just a few hours of work we were back on the road to Vegas. If not for Steve, we might still be stuck in Denver Thanks Steve!

I run a small business and have multiple box trucks. I ve dealt with almost any issue you could imagine and have tried multiple mechanics trying to find the right one. My engine went out on my box truck so I decided to give Steve s Automotive a try. I was extremely fortunate to find this place, they took excellent care of me and got my engine replaced. The new engine was under warranty and died out again. These guys made sure the manufacturer honored their warranty and kept me in business. I can t even begin to express my gratitude. I just wanted to send a huge shout out to Steve and his crew my husband and our family are PCSing to North Carolina and our truck had a cooling issue coming over to Denver from junction pulling our 30 ft camper I called 9 shops to try and get in and he was # 10 and with tears in my eyes I asked him if they had the time to look at our truck and get us back on our journey and he didn t hesitate for a second it took one day for him to get fixed and we are back on the road and he didn t break the bank hands Dow 10 stars all the way!! The only place I will trust with my truck. The most honest, caring and kind shop I ve dealt with. I had a really good mechanic in Utah where I m from, and was nervous moving out of state but so glad I found Steve s. He had better pricing than anyone else too I called around and was the cheapest I could find and quality work done.
