DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. The way this shop operates is probably quite literally illegal. I can t believe it s still in business. Untrustworthy, scamming, awful auto shop. I brought my car into this shop because my rear brakes very obviously needed to be inspected and repaired. My rear left wheel was absolutely CAKED in rust dust, it made a disgusting grinding noise at the end of braking when coming to a complete stop, and when I brought it in, I specifically said that my rear brakes needed to be done. I dropped my car off and went to a tattoo appointment. About two hours into my tattoo, they call me and tell me that my rear brakes are totally fine, but the front brakes are COMPLETELY spent and literally every single component of them needs to be replaced. I had been told about two months prior that my rear brakes had about 10-20% life left, and that the front axle s brakes were at 60-70%. I mentioned this, and I was told that the components on the front axle were almost entirely rusted through, and my rear brakes were fine. No percentage or anything was given. But, since my car was making a disgusting noise that worried me hugely, I agreed. They charged me $1456.76. When my tattoo was finished, I came and paid and picked it up, and before I even left the parking lot my heart sunk, because the concerning grinding was not fixed or improved whatsoever. I am very very confident the work they did to my car was almost entirely unnecessary, and that I was massively overcharged. Not only that, but the issue I took it in SPECIFICALLY to address was not touched. I took my car to another shop yesterday, and they called me and sent me a video explaining exactly what was wrong. The rear left brakes were COMPLETELY MISSING A BRAKE PAD. The brake piston was rubbing on the rotor, metal on metal. I cannot possibly express the level of incompetence a MECHANIC has to have to be unable to identify an entire brake pad is missing during a brake inspection when the customer specifically mentioned exactly where the issue was. I can only believe that they did identify it, and then left it intentionally, and scammed me. On top of that, the shop I visited recently confirmed that my rear brakes were at the end of their life, replaced all of the components on the axle, AND the damaged brake piston on the rear left, and it was $750. The disgusting and worrisome grinding is fixed, it was half the price, and I do not believe the work I paid $1400 for at pep boys needed to be done at all. It makes me sick to think about. I don t have $2000 to be spending on my car in two weeks. Much less, $1450 to spend on work that didn t need to be done because I was lied to and taken advantage of.

I came in for new brakes and an oil change. I got a call saying they needed to do my rotors as well. They quoted me for brakes, rotors and front and rear differential fluid. I approved the service, based on the information they shared that the rotors were no longer viable.I called back after a few hours as I had done some research and determined the rotors should not have been bad given the age of my vehicle. I asked to see the rotors when I picked up the vehicle. They brought one out and it had a clear impact point on it which I thought was strange. They claimed this was the damage from regular wear and tear that made the rotors no longer viable and they said all four looked like that. Again, I thought this was strange but I was in between work meetings and didn t have time to dig in.I got home and realized the invoice was off. They didn t include the front and rear differential fluid in the invoice but the price was still as though it was included. They also didn t include the 5% discount that they had offered. When I called they said they had replaced the fluids but to get the quote down they didn t include it in the invoice. I said this didn t make sense as the price was the same and didn t get a clear or reasonable explanation. My boyfriend dropped his car off at the same location for an oil change the next day. The shop called him and said he also needed to replace his rotors. When he asked again the mechanic said oh yea we can t turn them the need to be replaced. My boyfriend said the rotors had already been replaced within the last year and then the mechanic responded oh well I must have misheard the guy in the shop you don t need to do them. We found this very strange.I then mentioned to my boyfriend the rotor they had shown me from my vehicle and how the pictures didn t make sense. He has changed out brakes and rotors on many vehicles and he confirmed with a friend who was a mechanic that the pep boys shop must have damaged the rotors after replacing them unnecessarily to increase the invoice total. He even went so far as to look at the diagram on the toyota website of the brake assembly and found out where the damage was isn t even a point that could have been physically worn down through regular wear and tear.My summary - they took advantage of me and replaced parts unnecessarily. When I asked questions about it, the physically hit one of the rotors with a hammer to show damage. They were doing something funky with my invoice and the dollar amounts for the services and what was completed. It still doesn t show the front/rear differential fluid was replaced anywhere. They tried to do the same thing to my boyfriend, telling him he needed to replace 8 month old rotors. It makes me very sad as the cost of these repairs are significant and can really impact people s monthly budgets and ability to save or just stay afloat. What this company is doing is wrong.

Scheduled for 4pm. Called and asked if I could drop it off early at 3pm and was told that it could speed things up, nice. Now 5:30pm, not done. This was for an oil change. How does it take this long for an oil change?! Actual service starts about 1-2 hours after when it s scheduled apparently. Not going back. Hope they don t mess up my car no trust here. Said it was being worked on currently and I walk back to see, not touched. No good.

Everyone at this location is very friendly and professional but the service experience is poor. The online booking tool does not work, no communications are provided about when your vehicle will be ready, and the quality of service is poor. I was getting tires swapped out and when I picked up my vehicle I saw that two valve caps were missing and one of the tires hadn't even been inflated. While the staff was courteous, I wouldn't recommend using this location.

Booked an appointment about an oil leak on my jeep. took 2 hours for the mechanic to look at vehicle. Did not hear anything from the shop after receiving the online vehicle inspection so I called them myself. Told me it was a minor issue and they just needed a part from the jeep dealership that would be open the following day. Called again at noon the following day and they informed me "they were pulling the jeep in for repairs right then." I assumed that meant the vehicle would be completed that day. I reached out again at 5pm where they told me they still did not have the part and no work had been completed on my vehicle. Pep boys called me at 10am the following day (3 days later) with a $1200 estimate for repairs that apparently the first technician "misdiagnosed." Picked my car up... do not trust them to complete the work even though I have been a loyal pep boys customer for several years. Will not be returning to this shop.

I recently had the misfortune of using Pep Boys for what should have been a routine tire service, but the experience turned out to be a complete nightmare. I left the shop with what I thought was a job well done, only to discover the horrifying truth shortly afterward. To my disbelief, it turned out that the Pep Boys technicians failed to tighten my lug nuts properly. As I was driving, my wheel started wobbling dangerously, and upon inspection, I found that the lug nuts were barely holding on. I can't believe I entrusted my safety to a service center that can't even perform the most basic task of securing a wheel! The consequences of their negligence didn't end there. The lack of proper tightening caused my wheel to become so loose that it damaged the rim beyond repair. The fact that such a fundamental aspect of their service was overlooked is not only unacceptable but also downright dangerous. I shudder to think what could have happened if the wheel had come off completely while I was driving at high speeds. It's clear that Pep Boys prioritizes speed over quality, and the repercussions are both costly and potentially life-threatening.If you value your safety and the condition of your vehicle, I strongly advise against trusting Pep Boys with any service. Their lack of attention to detail and disregard for basic safety measures make them a liability rather than a reliable service provider. Save yourself the trouble, go elsewhere, and spare yourself the potential disaster that their negligence could cause.

Been coming here for years and will continue to recommend my friends and family in Denver on how exceptional the service is every time. Nick greeted me and worked myself and a trainee, Robert, through Pep Boys processing and next steps to resolve the issue. These gentlemen and the mechanic took me back to also personally show me the issue with my car and where this issue came from. Thank you all for your work and time today. I appreciate you and hope you have a wonderful rest of your evening. Thanks Pep Boys!

I had a problem with a service I received here I reached out to the store and Nicholas answered , and let me tell you, he was an absolute rockstar in handling the situation. He not only listened attentively to my concerns, but he also took the time to fully understand the issue from my perspective. It was clear that he genuinely cared about resolving the problem and ensuring my satisfaction. What really impressed me was that Nicholas didn't just stop at the basics. He went the extra mile by researching potential solutions and consulting with his colleagues to find the best course of action. Throughout the entire process, he maintained excellent communication, keeping me informed of the progress and any updates. But here's the kicker: Nicholas didn't just stop at resolving the issue. He took it a step further by offering me a personalized solution that went beyond my expectations. He truly exceeded my customer service expectations with his dedication, patience, and willingness to go above and beyond.Honestly, I can't stress enough how grateful I am for this company outstanding customer service. He turned a potentially frustrating situation into a positive experience, and that's the kind of service that keeps customers coming back. I highly recommend Pep Boys to anyone in need of automotive work!!

Scheduling has been incredibly difficult and has lacked transparency but maybe that s due to a lack of employees, which I get and is no one s fault. My biggest gripe is how they treated my car. I just got my Toyota detailed and clearly someone had a pen in their hand while turning the ignition. Now I can t get it out. Frustrated and bummed because this used to be such a good location. Hoping to get some kind of compensation otherwise I m not coming back.

I dropped my car off for an inspection and routine maintenance. After paying for these services and getting my keys back I discovered that my car's passenger side window had been left completely rolled down, in an open parking lot, in the dark winter night. Earlier, I was notified that work on my car had been completed at 4:50pm and I received my keys at 6:30pm (I have time stamps), and I have no idea how long my car was left open to the elements and passersby. I notified the staff and they claimed it had been left in this state for only a brief period of time, which I highly doubt, and I am now left with no other option but to hope nothing was stolen. Thanks Pep Boys!

Emily handled my issue from start to finish unlike a certain tire shop off of i-70/Tower known as Les Schwab (which nearly got me killed on the road).Emily very quickly determined that my drive shaft shattered entirely which was due to poor advice given to me by Les Schwab. She estimated that it would take until Sunday to get my 2008 Tacoma fixed but after a few hours she called me and told me that it would be fixed by the next afternoon. Job was complete three days early and while the price was a bit steep especially since Les Schwab could've said something to prevent it, I feel Emily with Pep Boys did great! Worth it!Now if only my tire pressure light would stay off, it'd be perfect

10 minutes ago while walking on the sidewalk on the way to an appointment I slipped on icy and injured my right elbow and broke my phone case (not the phone). I notified the 2 employees at desk. Few minutes later I asked if an incident report could be filled out. 10 minutes later Emily says noincidents form and its not their fault..Emily also stated that they don't actually have a mechanic on duty. When I made this appointment appointment 5 days ago. The employee told me they didn't have a mechanic and Sunday, today @1100. No mechanic. It's a f screw, for a car seat. Employees dressed as mechanics, that didn't have enough skills to reinstall a bolt.I don't know about their tire service, but they appear, at least thev2 day I had business with them.IF IT WERE MY CAR I WOULD GAVE TAKEN IT ELSEWHERE, BUT IT A HERTZ RENTAL. I TOOK IT WHERE TGEY INSTRUCTED ME TO.STUPID PEOPLE ALERT MY OPINION BASED SOLELY ON MY EXPERIENCES.EMILY DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHO THE MANAGEMENT COMPANY THAT SHE DEFERRED BLAME ON/TO.

Horrible. Over paid $80. Online it said the oil change was 89 and full coolent flush was 96. When I check out it was $280 the workers casually mentioned the prices went up to eachother. And when I asked if could accommodate to the online price they said they couldn t do anything.

Took them 22 hours to do a simple oil change and replace two tires. They do not pay enough attention to do the job properly. Save yourself the head ache and support another business

Spent two hours at the store to get a tire puncture checked. Techs had left for the night and were unable to fix the puncture when they finally got to my vehincle. they had me come back at 3pm the next day for an appointment.I come the next day at 3pm and they turned me away saying, for a small job like that we couldn't do it till close and to leave it until 7pm or go to the overflow shop....which also wouldn't take it.Just use a different company.

I went to pep boys on broadway for a car inspection for uber. I didnt pass because I needed new rear brakes. I had pep boys replace the brake pads but they were grinding on my way home. I went back the next day and found that the parts had been defective. The store promptly replace the parts. I cant say enough about the excellent customer service I received. I felt super comfortable with the staff. Very courteous and communicated well. I highly recommend this store .

Ok so pepboys has had my car 6 days now they still running diagnostic on the car. I was sent a link that is supposedly allowing me to follow but that link says no technician as be assigned but I was told there is a technician assigned. I am leaving everyone alone because I did say no rush but that mean ignore my car. That literally meant I understand that it could take up to three days for a diagnostic to be done. I was really hoping to be back at amazon by Saturday but it looks like and I have a feeling that I won't see my car ever again because the repair and diagnostic is going to cost 4,000 or more. And since I know I am losing my second job and have to look for another one and being behind in bills it might take me a year to come up with the money to pay them for work. Not sure along I am allowed to keep my car there.

Car was out of commission with two blownout tires. They got me in right away, never tried to upsell me, and were transparent throughout the whole process. When they found issues with the alignment and control arm, they walked me out to the bay and actually showed me the issue as they explained why it needed to be fixed and walked me through different options. It felt like they really cared about getting me back on the road as quickly and as cheaply as possible. They are easy to work with and their workmanship is great.

This store has taken 48 hours to change my brake pads on 2 separate occasions because the fool working the front desk didn t know how to submit the work properly. If you use them be prepared to follow up constantly to get the work done on time.

I had the best experience with pep boys. My car broke down at work. I had it towed here because it was the closes place. I was hesitant because I have never taken my car to Pep boys before. And, they were great! They communicated, got my car in as soon as they could and fixed the alternator! My car now runs better then it did before! Thanks Kyle and team!!!

I see a bunch of sour people here leaving reviews. It is the automotive industry you make and appointment you get next available technician not in right away. If you try to get an appointment at the dealer, your weeks out. Good staff here.

Their policies are ridiculous. I brought in a used (in great condition) tire that I bought because I had a blowout. It took them ten minutes to tell me me they don't mount used tires.Mind you, you can bring in your used tire with a hole in it, and they'll unmount it, patch it and remount it.. odd, because that's a used tire, yes?Go someplace that actually wants your business. They Clearly dont.

I had a flat. Goodyear left me on hold for 30 minutes but these guys picked up and took care of me so I could get home. They deserve much better reviews. Very kind and empathetic even though it was close to closing time.

I made an appointment, but they canceled it on me without notification. Then they told me they were too busy to get me in. Do not go there because they will cancel your appointment or take way too long for what they re doing to your vehicle stay away I am reporting them to corporate.

One of the worst experiences I had in an attempt to have my car serviced. Called in advance and explained the problem. I had a dealer inspection and knew what was the problem, the shop wanted to do another inspection, which was fine. They sent me to another Pep Boys nearby and after the inspection (found the same problem as the inspection I had from the dealer) I was informed that they don t have the parts and it would take about 2 days or more to have it. I called the first location I had my appointment and the person on the phone doesn t have a clue about dealing with customers. His excuse is that they are pretty busy, that they wouldn t be able to see my car that day anyways. Didn t try to understand the problem and work on a solution or explain anything. I m now calling customer service and for those who will do the same, store number is #241 for reference. What is the point of booking an appointment, saying they can do the repair, waste my time and just say they are too busy . DO NOT BOOK APPOINTMENTS THEN!I also believe they treated me that way because I was doing everything through Car Advise.
