When every warning light in my car came on at the same time, he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and find the right solution. He kept me updated throughout the day and could not have been kinder or easier to work with. Prices are very fair and quality is excellent. Highly recommend!

This is truly the best mechanic in the area. They have the skill and they are honest. You never feel like they are trying to sell you anything, just helping to get your car fixed. I would send my own mother here.

Had an issue with a 2008 4Runner and Dave at the shop was able to resolve the issue pretty quickly. Did a good job of explaining the problemand how to avoid unnecessary repairs/cost based on the age of the vehicle.Strongly recommend this place!

Fair, thorough, honest. I've taken two cars to Emick's Auto Service over the years, and have always gotten good work done in return for my patronage. I agree with some of the other posts that underscore the ethical and straight-forward business practices of the owner, and the dependable work that he provides.

Best shop I ve been to in Denver. I have an old subaru that I love and continue to sink money into. I have been to quite a few shops in Denver. Emick s is by far my favorite. Everyone is kind, they get your car in quickly, and the repair work is amazing, fast and fair priced. They definitely go above and beyond, even calling to get something covered under warranty, saving me money. I can t recommend Emick s enough!

Simply FANTASTIC customer service! I went in with an electrical issue which was promptly diagnosed and repaired within hours. There is a reason they have been in business so long. I went to Emick's for the first time this week and I was very happy with my experience. Initially I thought I was going to have to pay for a radiator replacement. However, during disassembly they were able to resolve the issue by just replacing a cap. They saved me a lot of money when they could have otherwise charged me for a more expensive fix I had already agreed to. I really appreciate how honest of a business this is and I will definitely be returning!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Have used this shop for decades. I trust them for routine and unusual issues; knowledgable and efficient. Everyone needs an auto mechanic they can rely on. This shop is a safe bet.

Super legit shop. I'm new to the denver area and had been looking for shops based on my power steering as I was putting in almost a bottle a day towards the end of my "maintenance needed". Other bigger named shops quoted me $200 just to bring the car in, (older rusted Minnesota car) without any work, but just to work on it. Not to mention, it was over a two week wait at other shops, and Emick's was able to get me in next day. They were very communicate and quick with the "mysterious" repair.I was charged an insanely fair rate, for my power steering fix, and if you're looking for a legit shop this is the shop for you.Both employees there were extremely knowledgeable, and treated me as if I'd known them for years. Very welcoming experience.The shop the 1st time over mis - judged what the issue was to a fair market repair which we agreed on, and when I picked the car up I was told it was actually a cheaper repair. The shop 100% could have gotten away with charging me 300% on this repair, but was super honest and had my best interest in mind. This is a big reason I am writing this review as going to shops for my car, I know more than most people but still can get swindled very easily.TAKE YOUR CAR HERE IF YOU HAVE ISSUES. They treated me, charged me and left me feeling great about my service. I have never left a shop feeling like this and a big reason I am writing such an extensive review. I have no connection to this shop and nobody there is a friend / paid me to write this, I am just a satisfied customer!Service: Auto maintenance

I've been a customer for 29 years. Emick's has taken care of 3 of my cars and I can't say enough good things about them. I don't often write reviews. But I felt compelled to write a review for Emick's Auto Service. I took my 2001 Jeep Cherokee to a couple of other local mechanics, and he was by far the most fair and honest. Dave has been a pleasure to work with. He is honest, intelligent and generally just nice to talk to. This was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a mechanic. I brought my Honda Fit in for a general inspection in preparation for selling it. I told him about a few minor issues that needed fixing and that I was pretty sure I needed new brakes (they were squeaking). He called me back just a few hours later and let me know that my brakes were fine and just needed to be cleaned. He could have told me I needed new ones since I was already so convinced but he was 100% honest about that and everything else. The price for everything was very fair and he got it all done so quickly. I would make Emick's my go-to mechanic forever if I weren't moving out of the state. Very highly recommend!

I cannot recommend Emick's Auto highly enough. Dave is incredibly honest, knowledgeable, and kind. He leads with integrity and he is always efficient and communicative. The prices are always fair and and he never once tried to upsell me on anything. Dave is a professional, honest and competent mechanic. My coworker recommend him to me and I have past that recommendation on to others looking for a good mechanic. Dave and his staff are fantastic mechanics. I drove a jalopy pickup for many years, and they kept it running for me at a very reasonable price. I especially like that they are straightforward in their assessments, willing to triage major repairs, prepared to prioritize repairs, and always reasonably priced. If you're looking for a some glad-handing and free donuts, don't go here. If you want quality work completed by skilled professionals, Emick's is your place.

I would not go to this place again. All I needed was an oil change and he did some extra work on my car without calling me. The total increase was only $17 but I think it's important to call the customer and tell them when you're doing extra work on their vehicle and not surprise them with it.When I brought it up to him, he said I didn't have a choice and he never calls customers to tell them if their car needs extra work like that. I know it's a small amount, but times are tough and a lot of peoples budgets are small. I have friends that could've done the extra work as well. I had a nail in my tire and I am grateful he took it out, but I wish he would've called me first.Service: Oil change

Emick's Auto is a gem- and I am happy to have found a trustworthy shop in Denver for all of my car maintenance! Customer service is excellent every time, and I particularly love the text updates and scheduling option for convenience. I trust their opinion of what work my car needs to be in great shape, and the prices are fair. This neighborhood shop is a must.

In August I was traveling from Tennessee to Washington state on a cross country move. My vehicle broke down in Denver. I found Emick s auto service. I do not remember the mechanics name but I believe he is the owner. He did not sugar coat anything with me. He was honest and upfront. Laid out all the options for me and didn t make any false promises. After a couple days in the shop he finally got me back on the road after putting a new fuel pump on for me. It was great service all around.

Trustworthy quality service. Prices are very reasonable for the work, and when I've had maintenance done, they've let me know what issues to keep an eye on for the future without pushing a fix before it's necessary.The communication about the work being done is great, and I had a chance to let them know I would swap out my own battery and cabin filter (though in retrospect, the price they quoted for a new battery installed was pretty close to what I paid just for parts at a shop).

My car's AC was acting up and I took it to Emick's Auto Service for repair. They were able to see us quickly, diagnose the issue, and fix it within the same day. Dave was very kind and direct with what the issues were. He has tons of experience and I felt confident with him on the job. Our AC is fixed and blowing consistent, COLD, air. Thanks Dave!!I highly recommend Emick's for your go-to mechanic. They are transparent, efficient, and affordable. Do yourself a favor and take your car here, you will not be disappointed.

I went in for a routine oil change and also asked them to tell me where the hole in my exhaust was located since they would have my car lifted already. They ended up doing a bunch of stuff to my car without asking me prior then charging me $117 for all of it. The woman working, Jess, told me it was standard pricing. $117 for an oil change and a quick look at the exhaust while it s lifted is not standard. I highly recommend going elsewhere for any work on your car. Will not be back.

We were contemplating buying a used SUV and needed a quick inspection and Dave at Emick's was able to get the car in and up on the lift the following day. The price was reasonable and boy, was he thorough. Dave inspected every nook and cranny of the car and even got it up to speed (where he diagnosed a problem). Without Dave's thorough work we would have probably been stuck with a lemon. Thanks, Emick's!

I would HIGHLY recommend them, especially if you are new in the area looking for a reputable place or know nothing about your cars and need expert advice! They really went above and beyond to help me get my car back into shape while doing everything possible to keep it affordable. They are very fairly-priced and did the work very quickly. (Also, as a sidebar, they seem to be taking good precautions with the COVID situation.) All in all, would recommend!

I brought my car to Emick's, fully believing I needed a new power steering pump. I was able to bring my own pump and they were going to install only. Surprisingly, upon my arrival they looked at the car timely and stated that it could be belt slippage, and tire wear. They suggested i start with the cheaper options and they were right. At the end of the day i ended up spending a fraction of what a new power steering pump swap would have cost. They took a very ethical and honest approach. They have my loyalty going forward.Thank you,

No BS Car Repair. David and Jess are fantastic at assessing exactly what's wrong with our cars. They always tell us what's wrong, tell us an approximate price, and ask what we'd like to do. No pressure, just a simple diagnostic, recommendation, and price. I've been burned so many times elsewhere. I was fortunate enough to be recommended to these folks by a friend, probably 6 or 7 years ago now. I won't take my cars anywhere else. You've got a client for life. I send all my friends here too. Highly recommend!

David Emick is a great man to work with. Straight forward, trustworthy, and reliable work is done here. Very decent rates considering the standard rates here in Denver. Its like the down home shop in the big city. Beautiful vintage vehicles move through the shop.

A true lifesaver. I received multiple quotes prior to taking my car to Emick s and all were an exorbitant amount to fix a water pump. Emicks came in beneath competitors costs and did not only quality work, but had my repair completed within two days. No gimmicks, no added services, just straight forward and honest work. I will only use Emicks moving forward for all of my repair/maintenance needs.
