Multiple visit customer:Quality, fair, and honest repair shop.I had a flat tire repair this morning. Showed up at 7:30 and was ready to go by 8. They have always been very professional and kind. One time they told me they weren t confident on an issue and told me to bring it to another specialist. They didn t tell me exactly where to go which is nice because you know it s not one of those referral scams.

In my experience, this shop tends to be slightly more bullish on its service recommendations. It seems sometimes they only care to increase the bill, because they have at times taken it upon themselves to look for more things wrong with the truck and recommend extra service, rather than thoroughly diagnose and fix the problem that I brought it in for in the first place. On more than one occasion, work has not been done right the first time. As an example, I ve had to have them take apart the same door panel three times. I brought my truck in for the AC to be fixed, they recommended additional unrelated repairs, which I approved, but I just picked up the car and two of my AC fans still don t work. To make matters worse, they didn t even follow up on the extra work. Apparently I had all these big bad leaks that needed urgent ($$) attention but there was zero mention of it when I went to pick up the truck until I asked why not? and the response I got was very off-the-cuff. All that s to say, there was ONE time, they exceeded expectations but they ve disappointed ever since. If Zoe is around he s helpful, he does seem to have a solid grasp on what s going on with the shop and is quick on the draw with resolutions, but unfortunately I can t recommend this shop to anyone who values trust and their own time. There are worse, but there are better too.

This shop is pristine - a big clue to the fastidiousness of the crew and owner - its like a LearJet garage. I needed a plastic bumper piece reattached to the frame with zip-ties but they did better than that. I also needed a tail light replaced. Total cost? Well, it cost me more to rent the damn scooter from my home in Cap Hill to the garage than the cost of repairs. These people restored peace with honesty and integrity. We will go no where but here from now on for auto repairs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

New to the area - this place is fast, friendly, transparent and dependable. What more could you ask for from an auto repair shop? Definitely recommend their services.

They do great work for a great price. The owner of the shop, Ben I think his name is, even rode around with me so I could try and replicate the noise I was hearing! What other shop would go to that level of service?!?Another story, I priced out tires at a big name tire shop and they found me some new shoes for cheaper! Remarkable!I have been going here for YEARS and every time I leave, I feel like RAINBOWS ARE SHOOTING OUT OF MY EYEBALLS!!!UPDATE - Went in to Downing the other day with a front right tire losing air. The actual owner of the shop, handsome devil, Ben I believe his name was. Gets out the jack, patches the leak and now my tire is actually gaining air!!!! If you dont believe me, look at the picture below!

$110 for an oil change is absurd. This family owned business sure knows how to overcharge and price gouge you. Hard pass on that.

You get what you pay for at this neighborhood garage! They are friendly, courteous, and straightforward.I hit a pot hole and was experiencing a slight shudder. Within a couple of hours, they performed and alignment and a well needed tire balance.The car drives like it did when I first bought it eight years ago. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who doesn t want to putts around with shops that overpromise and under deliver.

The only guys in Denver I trust with my truck. Very experienced guys who know their stuff. They gave me an honest assessment and provided me options for just the fix I needed or additional preventative maintenance so I wouldn't have to come in as soon. I would recommend them to anyone.

Had an issue late and night and AAA towed my car here. Called them early the next morning and they said they might be able to get in done in a few days (expected, since i did not speak with them prior to dropping it off) but they had it done the same day. Really nice and honest customer service, will definitely be taking my car here for maintenance in the future.Service: Auto maintenance

This shop is the best and I'll never take a car anywhere else again. Very honest and straightforward with excellent communication. After contacting the dealer to find out why my car was making a scraping noise and being told they couldn't fit me into their schedule for over 3 months, I called Downing St Garage and they were able to see me and replace my brakes in one day. They also informed me that I have an extended warranty on a steering wheel issue which I intend to have them fix in the near future (at Hyundai's expense).Services: Brakes, Oil change

Got our truck in two days after I called. Diagnosed a damaged driveshaft and non-functional 4WD. Had the driveshaft rebuilt and 4WD fixed, and the vehicle was back in our possession 5 business days after I dropped it off. Very nice people, very professional shop, and fair pricing for repairs. Will absolutely be using them again in the future.

I took my car here to get checked after driving cross-country and I found them to be helpful, kind, and transparent. I never felt like they pushed me to get extra services/replace parts unnecessarily like some garages do. They got to my car the same day I called and returned it to me within a few hours, which was great! I would go back here.

Update (1/4/22) They are still amazing and I would give them another 5 star review if google would let me. Best car shop in Denver!! Amazing service and amazing people. Extremely quality work done on my car. I m from Minnesota and so is the owner of the shop. He was trained at the shop in Minnesota my mom goes to. Great shop if your looking to support a neighborhood car shop especially if you are also from Minnesota. I would not get work done on my car anywhere in colorado but here at Downing Street Garage. Please take your car there, you will not be disappointed. For example, I dropped my car off early and they fixed it early for me. Just incredible work and service. Words do not describe how amazing of a car shop Downing Street Garage truly is. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

These guys are awesome. It is such a relief to find a garage that I trust and find reliable. They're always helpful and straightforward about things. I've now gone to them twice when I needed work done quickly; I used to go to the Toyota dealership and will probably never go back because I trust these guys way more. They really are the real deal.

These guys are absolutely amazing!! I've been a customer at their shop for almost a year and they have never failed to be upfront, honest, and helpful. Their work has always been careful and precise. After taking my car to be serviced by them, I haven't come across the same issue twice. They can be somewhat expensive, however the quality that is offered at this garage is without question.After my previous car was totaled in an accident, they then offered me consistent and helpful advice to find a new, reliable car. They gave me realistic suggestions on how to find, inspect, and choose my new car. Without that advice, I cannot guarantee that I would currently be driving. Furthermore, they thoroughly inspected my car choices, without costing me a fortune, and even helped me to put my old car, that I deeply loved, to salvage. It would take a full page to outline everything they did for me.I completely trust them with my car, which is not something that I say easily. Like most people, I have grown skeptical of mechanics, garages, and dealerships (really anything to do with a car). However, after my first visit, they calmed my suspicions and proved time and again that they truly care about their customers and clients. Furthermore, my ordeal earlier this year only substantiated that my trust in the mechanics of Downing Street Garage is not unfounded.

We've had an onslaught of issues with used cars we have purchased recently, and Tyson and the team at Downing Street Garage have been fantastic in helping us get everything sorted out. They are everything you are looking for in a mechanic - honest, transparent, professional, thorough, communicative, patient, reliable...the list goes on. They work diligently to get to the bottom of the issue, and honestly, it is the cleanest shop I have ever seen, which I think is a clear indicator of their focus on quality work. They are always pleasant and easy to work with. If you have any issues with your car, I highly recommend calling these guys!

I got my car towed to Downing Street Garage during the COVID19 Pandemic and Stay at Home order. My rear parking break had rusted up and wouldn't dislodge, making the car incapable of moving. I spoke with them on the phone and they were very helpful and thoughtful in their explanation of how they were managing repairs during this outbreak. The level of professionalism and quality was high, and their attention to detail--providing no-contact repairs/pick-ups and wiping down the inside of my car after they fixed it--was reassuring during this challenging time. They also honor the 10% AAA discount, and are very reasonably priced in general. I haven't had any issues with my car since they repaired it. They are definitely going to be my go-to auto shop from now on!

Cannot say enough good things about these guys. They inspected my Subaru before I bought it and it has turned out to be a great car. They have done timely/quality work on it as well since the purchase. The other day I locked my keys in my car while it was running (like a complete idiot), and I called these guys right away because they are close by and always super cool. Ben came by about 30 minutes later and got the car open no problem, completely saving the day. There's nothing better than finding a mechanic who seems honest and legit. I highly recommend Downing St Garage.

I just started taking my 2011 Ford Escape here for maintenance, after an awful experience with another garage in the area. I should have been coming here sooner! This is a fantastic garage. The front desk is really friendly.They schedule extremely well; if they tell you that a repair will take an hour, it takes an hour. They are also very honest about what repairs are really necessary.

I had lower power in my Subaru for a year--took it in to two other shops multiple times to figure out what it was but they never figured it out and their suggested repairs never fixed it. Took it to Downing Street and they diagnosed the problem quickly and tested to make sure that their diagnoses was correct. Now its like driving a whole new car. They were professional and 100% clear about their charges and estimates. Great experience! Thank you!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Oil change

I ve had them, fix my a/c, replace my radiator, & fix a flat. Very reliable & convenient. A bit pricy but overall they re great a mechanic shop.

TLDR: My goodness, these guys are INSANELY overpriced. They communicated well and were quite pleasant, to their credit.My car wouldn't start over the weekend and it seemed like a starter issue. After AAA tried to jump it and couldn't I had them tow to a garage within range which unfortunately was Downing street.Turns out there was nothing wrong except for needing a new battery, which I found out after spending almost 4 days without a car while they got around to running diagnostics. To their credit they did warn me of the wait ahead of time.I really should have just bought a battery and brought it over there with me to pick the car up and installed it myself but I felt like that might not be the correct way to do things given it was already at rhe garage. Now I am kicking myself for even thinking about being polite because it cost me $350 for them to change my freaking battery...totally unreal. Unless you don't mind being overcharged you should go elsewhere.

Best mechanic ever. Hands down. I have been with Downing Street Garage ever since I moved to Denver 2 1/2 years ago, and they have been absolutely incredible and amazing every step of the way. They are always friendly and informative and they give great advice. They will tell me what needs to be fixed immediately as well as in the near future, and never push things on me. I would highly recommend them to anyone and everyone. Thank you, Downing Street Garage, for your impeccable service!

The Downing Street Garage crew has been servicing both of my vehicles for over 2 years and have always done a great job. The service has always been timely and consistent, they have kept both vehicles running very well and been available to do so at times when it was needed in a pinch. You can rest assured that this group of certified mechanics will take good care of your vehicle and be transparent about what is needed and what can wait. I would recommend anyone that needs a reliable auto shop to consider using Downing Street Garage.

I had to have our explorer towed to Downing Street Garage as it overheated on my way to work. I had a call immediately from the office manager once it arrived and she went over the steps we should take to figure out the issue. I was pleasantly surprised with the result and the time taken to fix our vehicle. The staff was very nice and assured I had all the information needed. Great repair shop in Denver - easy to tow your car to!
