The auto repair shop in Denver for transmission problems. The team at Cottman was friendly and professional and fixed my Durango transmission issue in a timely and cost effective manner. I wouldn't hesitate using them again or recommending to anyone.

Cottman transmission had great customer service. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I have seen a handful of reviews say they don't charge for a diagnostic, and this is accurate! If you need an engine or transmission serviced, there is no way around the fact that it will be expensive. This place takes that into account and does not nickel and dime you.

Great service, very knowledgeable fair prices. They took care of my truck and got me back on the road. Had a transmission and a transfer case rebuild done here, and they rebuilt the drive shaft while they had it. Everything works like new, truck is driving like it did when I first got it and it has 189k miles on it. If you are looking for transmission service check them out.Had to call today with a warranty question and Mark took care of me. He got me in and scanned the codes and found the problem. Thank you for taking the time get it worked out.

Cottman Transmission had to do a time-consuming diagnosis on my Subaru s transmission issue, and did not charge me for it (even when I opted not to go ahead with repair on my older car). I looked at having my pilot transmission serviced or replaced and he said he could not find parts or a transmission anywhere. But that he did find a used one with 40,000 miles on it and he could do all the work for 6K. I declined to do that and he said I should just sell the vehicle. A few days later, I called the Honda dealership and the parts department said they could easily get me a transmission for around 5k at retail. (Auto shops, get them for cheaper.) the parts guy at the dealership then gave me the name of a shop who would put it in for me. I called him and he said he could do everything for 6K. Thus, I think I found a much better mechanic and won't say much else about this shop.

Cottman Transmission s on Broadway was recommended to me by a mechanic as reliable and getting the job done and done correctly. I was very reluctant anyway assuming the worst but they ended up doing a wonderful job for me and taking care of a problem that has been nagging my vehicle for quite some time (coming and going) I would recommend them to anybody very fair very forward with everything that they did and very much appreciated. My thanks to Mark and the rest of the people there for having done a wonderful job and very timely much appreciated thanks to all who work there.

Worked with me all through 2 months of a transmission issue. They were patient through multiple follow-up phone calls and as efficient as possible in a tough car market right now. And at the end of everything, gave me $500 off just because it took so long! I don t think I ll take my car anywhere else for transmission maintenance in Denver. AMAZING service.

Mark and his team were AMAZING to work with! Our car broke down near the airport and had it towed to a shop that will remain unnamed. They quoted it would cost $5000 and that I needed a new transmission.I did some calling around and my usual Mechanic suggested I call Mark and his team. We had the car towed to Cottman and within a day Mark had a quote and let me know it would just be the transfer case that needed to be replaced and the transmission looked fine.I ended up paying half of what the first mechanic quoted. To put the cherry on top, Mark had his Employee Jonathan(Who was a SUPER nice guy) pick my Fianc� up at work and bring her to the shop to pick up the car.Overall great experience, and would recommend to anyone they trust their vehicles to Mark and his team.Thanks again! - Charlie & BeccaService: Transmission

I highly recommend Cottman Transmission in Denver- S. Broadway. Mark was friendly and straightforward from start to finish and after driving my car for a month it is running like new!I was having issues with my 2000 Chevy Blazer losing power while driving up the mountains. It seemed to me that it was slipping gears around 60mph going uphill so I was anticipating replacing my transmission. I called around to about a dozen mechanics, and two of them referred me to Cottman. I had my car towed there on a Tuesday night, and when I talked to Mark on Wed he told me my transmission was not the problem and that my catalytic converter was completely clogged, but that wasn t the only problem. Over the next few days they kept my truck and diagnosed the rest of the issue without charging me for all the hours of diagnosis they had to put into it. Monday morning Mark called me to say they replaced the catalytic converter, cap and rotor, fuel filter, and transmission filter service and that my truck was fixed and running great. It was a relief that it wasn t my transmission, but they did all the repairs anyways for a lot less money than if I d have gone somewhere else. I drove it back up to the mountains that day and have been driving it around for the past month and I really couldn t be happier.Thanks Mark and Cottman Transmission for the exceptional service!

The shop was able to fit my truck repair into their busy schedule within a few days. They diagnosed the transmission problem the same day and clearly explained the repair options. Then had the truck ready to go very quickly. Their pricing was reasonable and the staff was friendly. Highly recommended

The owner Mark was very nice and looked over my transmission and ran diagnostics on it for no charge after my accident to make sure it was all sound since it felt weird. Very lovely people. A little hard to get into, but I suck at parking so that's not their fault, nor is it their fault that Broadway just sucks in general. I really appreciated Mark being honest with me and not trying to swindle me into services and repairs I didn't need. I recommend them highly!

After I had finished my run a Cherry Creek park I went to turn on my car and discovered the battery had died and some symbols had appeared on the dash. I called AAA but the estimated wait time was over an hour and a half. I called a couple of other places with no luck until cottman transmission, I figured they wouldn't help at first since I didn't have a transmission issue but they were more than helpful. They sent someone to come tow my car which took about 30 minutes. Everyone was extremely nice, especially Mark who explained what was happening with my car in terms I could understand. I know close to nothing about cars so I really appreciated the breakdown. I also needed an oil change which they did at my request and it cost about the same as any other place. Overall I am so grateful for these mechanics and thank you again for everything Mark!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Battery, Oil change

They are amazing. I've used them three times and all three times they've been great.The first time, they repaired the transmission on my Civic. They also replaced my muffler and only charged me for the part.The second time I went in with my f150 that was leaking transmission fluid. They took a look and replaced a hose all within half an hour of me pulling up. Cost me $20. Firestone quoted me over $600 for the same repair.Today I went in with the same f150. This time I was unable to put it in park. Again, they looked at it and fixed it on the spot in less than half an hour!I've never been to a mechanic as honest and reliable.

Mark and his Team at Cottman's consistently provide the highest levels of customer service! They're thorough, professional, on-time and their pricing is fair. They rebuilt the automatic transmission in my 4x4 Ranger 2 years ago. It's worked flawlessly ever since, and they've now provided 2 FREE annual service checks just to be sure all is as it should be with my truck.

We had a Ford Explorer at another shop and they gave us a high estimate and a week timeline for a rebuilt transmission. We decided to look at other options so we contacted Mark at Cottman and he reviewed the vehicle and he got us in the same day and it took only 4 business days to repair (along with a 3 year warranty on the transmission) and they were less expensive than the other place too. Mark kept us in the loop with the repair progress and we felt like they took good care of us and the vehicle. I will take all my future transmission needs to them.When we picked up the car we met the owner, Jim, and he gave us his card and said to call anytime we needed something after the fact. We have been driving the car for about a month and it drives like new. Very positive experience!

These guys may be good mechanics may not but I know I wouldnt let them touch my car for over charging me on a Trani not even worth its price. The situation was so bad my insurance under the warrenty doesnt even trust them. They asked the new mechanic makes sure they was not lieing to me about the car being apart. Thats they wamt to charge me to put it together again. Amd I go to get the something from my car amd it was ready. Not even A call and he Mark yelled at me while I was in there. The manager Mark is honest and great to work with. I had an older transmission repaired and Mark's recommendations work great. I have since had another transmission repaired and referred many friends to see him. he has been a pleasure to work with for me and all of the people I have referred to him are very pleased as well.

They scammed me.I had issues with my car that I thought was the transmission. After they ordered a brand new transmission and fitted it into my car, the same problems persisted. I called them back about it and their excuse was that they needed to program the transmission, even though days before they said that the transmissions come preprogrammed (I asked because I am naturally inquisitive and CVTs are pretty unique). I was horribly stressed and busy at that time so I wasn't thinking clearly, but looking back now I understand that the real problem wasn't in the transmission, but somewhere else. So there goes $4,000 of my hard-earned money to a dishonest, greedy person.I'm never coming back and I tell everyone I talk to on the subject to stay away.

Mark and his staff did an incredible job creating a timeline for a critical repair and affording me the opportunity to understand everything associated with the process; thoroughly. He had no problem working with me, reasoning with my lack of comprehension with intricacies of the automotive and transmission industry and his staff were both courteous and extremely generous. I am more than pleased with every part of the process and I completely understand why this place is so highly recommended and greatly ranked within their specialty. My greatest fear was breaking down in the rocky mountains while driving through Colorado to Missouri. Of course my greatest fear happened at 5 in the morning when I stopped for gas, my transmission linkage slipped out of place and i couldn't shift the car to into drive. I had to sleep in my car til 8 am when local mechanics opened up because my roadside assistance would tow me til someone agreed to take me. I called around for an hour and everyone said tough luck we cant help you or see you for at least a week we are completely booked. One mechanic referred me to Cottman Transmission and Total Auto Care, and thank God they did. The staff was nice and understanding and agreed to see me right away. Within one hour of having my car towed they assessed and fixed the problem and had me back on the road. I am forever grateful to this company for helping me. I have been a customer of Cottman Transmission for the last 10 years.I commonly work with Mark who has an outstanding team of Professional Mechanics.They are affordable reliable and honest and have gotten our cars back to us in a timely manner.We have had several of our jeep grand Cherokees towed to him from all over the state of CO and they have done a fantastic job getting us price quotes and provided us with honest repair. Mark has even given me a ride home after I rode in the front seat of a tow truck from the top of Vail Pass with one of our jeeps, great customer care. I would recommend Mark and his team to anyone needing transmission repair., or mechanical advise .

My first experience with Cottman of Denver was when they rebuilt the transmission on a BMW in 2011 which still works perfectly 9 years later. I just had the transmission, transfer case, and both differentials serviced in a Jeep. Anything to do with transmissions or drive-line, this is the best shop in Denver. Super honest and reasonable price.

This is a very helpful shop. I was told that my differential was what was causing noise. I went to Cottman's to have it checked out and couldn't be happier about the service. They checked my differential, transfer case and transmission. They were very HONEST and did not try to sell me unneeded services. It turns out all they checked were in good working order and I was not charged a dime for their labor. Unbelievable in this day! Mark even has a deal with Hertz across the street so I got a rental for a tremendous deal. You cannot go wrong with this Cottman's!

Marc and Lisa were very helpful. They fixed our car fast and were able to work with our warranty company. They made the correct diagnosis right away (in comparison to the shop we were before).
