My car broke down near here and a quick google search showed good reviews from Astro. I couldn t be more pleased with their help. I showed up around closing time on a Friday afternoon and they got me my car back by Monday afternoon (they are closed on the weekend). Their diagnostic fee was only $45 and they found the issue and gave an affordable and fair price to fix it. Thank you so much!

I towed my Subaru here for an emergency repair and Astro Automotive did a great job. They were professional, had things done when they said they would and David was pleasant to work with. The most amazing thing was when I got my car back, everything under the hood had been cleaned up and my 11 year old car looked brand-new!

Great experiences here start to finish, theyve done the breaks on my car, installed a new battery and fixed my tire. All three experiences were great, they are friendly , professional and good to work with. Highly recommend

Stumbled across this place 8 years ago when I moved here and Astro Automotive has been my go to garage since. Hands down the best car shop in Denver! The guys who work here are always nice, honest, timely and patient. They are thorough, priced fairly and will break things down for you if you don t understand (like myself, I don t get cars at all lol). I can t recommend this place enough! Shoutout to Dave in particular!

I would stay away from this place. Took my car in for an oil change. They told me I had a transmission fluid leak that would be an expensive fix. I got a second opinion from somewhere else and confirmed there was no leak. Tried to take advantage and get more money out of me.

These guys are top rate! I had alignment and oil change done. Fairly priced and got it done on time. David spent extra time with me explaining some future potential issues to me.No sales or scare tactics - just patient friendly advice. I've used Astro for a few major repairs over the years on an older Toyota SUV that has had its fair share of issues and work done by some other local mechanics. They get the job done and will let you know if there are other issues to be mindful of. I use them and another great shop depending on what needs done and Astro consistently finds things the other shop misses. This is my family car and its important for it to be safe and reliable. I always leave with peace of mind with repairs done here.

We had a misfire code and catalytic converter code. Mechanics said they only saw a cat code and wanted to do an expensive cat replacement - they had our car for 2 days and clearly didn't even look at our engine. They charged us $200 for a 'diagnosis' - when we got the car back they didn't diagnose that our engine air intake hose was completely cut open and our spark plugs needed replacing (the obvious source of the misfires). Thank god I decided to play mechanic and looked myself and then we took it somewhere else for the work. I feel ripped off and wasted a lot of time and money (needed a rental car for the 2 day 'diagnosis') going here.

Took car in diagnosis of where coolant is going to and an oil change. Was told they wanted to change a thermostat and one fan was bad,need to replace the motor. It was the fan for the condenser but I knew it didn't work. I approved the cost and still the car is overheating. Now neither of the fans come on. They never did give me even so much as a theory on why my coolant was darkly colored and vanishing. They neglected to change the oil. Despite the whole bill of $500 I'm went from 1 cooling fan to 0. The car temperature overheated on the way back to work. Honestly I couldn't be more dissatisfied, will not return.Edit POST RESOLUTIONThe issue was the radiator clogged and cracked mixing trans fluid with coolant. Picture added. Very simple fix, I am busy guy working 70hrs per week I don't have time to do this stuff myself. After running the heat all winter to keep my car cool. I fixed the problem on my own should have done that to start with. Astro has stupid or lazy mechanics who plain and simple aren't doing their jobs. What the business is doing is lying to and stealing from people.Bottom line if you want a job done right dp it yourself or go to the dealer.

I've been going to Astro for a few years, and they are the best around in my opinion. Especially with my having low knowledge of cars, they are always completely honest with me with any questions I have. Example is when I asked if I needed new tires, and they assured me I had another good six months left. I feel that I may have been told "yes" immediately other places to get more business. I just completely trust them. They are so professional, honest, and timely with every service.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Had a great experience here! Had trouble with a dead battery and wasn t able to jump start it or get it towed out of a small parking garage. David found the exact battery I needed and walked me through the specific steps to change it myself. Even double checked my install and cleaned it up for me afterwards for no charge. Thank you!

Love these guys. They always treat me right and have my full and complete trust. On one occasion I brought my car to Astro and based on the problems my car was experiencing, I was told the fix could cost a couple thousand or relatively nothing depending on the root of the problem. A day later they called to tell me it was a basic part that needed replacing and the bill was inconsequential. Knowing that they could have easily charged 10X more without me knowing the difference but didn't is the reason I'll never take my car anywhere else in Denver.

A few of the bolts on my rear brake calipers had come loose or broken on a used car I had recently purchased. All I knew was that my car was ****ed any time I hit the brakes.I rolled it down to Astro Auto as it was the closest place to my home and had good reviews. They called me shortly after I dropped it off explaining the issue and the cost to fix. I quickly approved and they had my car ready to go within the next few hours - I had dropped it off at 9:30 and it was ready for me by 1 pm. Quick service! And very affordable.They also check your other fluids but nothing came up so I only paid for the brake replacement. Car is back to running like a dream. I would absolutely recommend Astro Automotive to anyone!Service: Brakes

I am SO grateful a friend referred me to Astro Automotive. I am looking to buy a used car, but I know nothing about the mechanics of a car, and wanted it inspected by an independent mechanic before closing the deal. I was able to call Astro and make an appointment the day before, and when I arrived, they were able to take the car right away. Dave did a thorough inspection and walked me through the whole thing after, explaining both the cost and the ramifications of each issue he found. Based on the inspection, I decided to go back to the dealer and negotiate, and Dave gave me good talking points for the dealer and also his opinion on what kind of deal I should take vs walk from. The dealer unexpectedly gave me a different option than we anticipated, and I called Astro from the dealership - and Dave advised me that this was now a good deal and I should go for it. I felt so much more comfortable moving forward with the purchase thanks to Dave's advice - this inspection was GREAT value, and saved me over $3000!! I will definitely be taking my car back to Astro for future servicing, and will be referring my friends as well.Service: General repairs & maintenance

After taking my vehicle with a weird intermittent issue to a franchise dealership and 2 shops, and being told they couldn t find any issues, I tried the local mechanic. They found the issues in minutes, fixed it in hours, and had it ready for me next day! I ve been suffering for months, and I should had tried them long ago! Very knowledgeable people, easy going, honest, reliable, and not overpriced! Will definitely go back if ever need anything! Thanks guys! Enjoy the donuts!!

Excellent service, quick turnaround, reasonable prices. They don't work on Saabs beyond oil changes, but no one does anymore. Definitely recommend.

These guys know their stuff. Honest pricing, detailed attention. Nothing gets by this auto repair shop, they quickly locate the repair issues, provide a detailed estimate of work, and layout the timeframe of completion. I took in my '78 F150 for some overdue mechanical repairs & rebuilds, & am so excited to have my truck back in the best shape it's been in over 20 years. Astro just saved me! They were able to repair a bolt that punctured my tire in only 3 hours ON A MONDAY! The drama actually took place near Tower & I-70: called Brian, he said to keep it as inflated as possible, had to stop 3 times to air up the punctured tire, after an hour made it to Astro. And, again, they fixed it in only 3 hours! These guys are amazing AND SUPER AFFORDABLE.... AND NICE!!![From post in 2019] Friendly, competent and fair prices. Great local auto shop in Baker!

Astro Automotive has earned my business over and over again. They ve shown themselves to be very reputable which is my biggest concern in a mechanic. They are very communicative when my car is in for repair and up front about costs. I just want to stop and say how grateful I am to have found Astro Automotive. Took my girlfriends car on Tuesday to get serviced for an engine relay fuse that kept blowing and they had told me it would take at least a week to get it worked on. The work was done way earlier than I expected and they made sure to call me and keep me updated when they worked on the vehicle. I got a call on Thursday that it was ready to go. I was happy with the price and we truly feel that they went above and beyond in getting the car fixed. This is definitely going to be my go-to place for services! Thank you so much!

This place was great! I was very well informed of what needed to be done with my car. They called me and gave me phone updates before doing anything I didn t agree to, and they provided me with a price range of what I was looking at so I could make an informed decision. They even got me a used part so I didn t have to pay for a new one. I was also impressed because this is the first car place I ve gone to that explained things so thoroughly and didn t try to take advantage for my lack of knowledge about cars! I completely trust Astro automotive and will always be going here for as long as I live in the area!

I realized that I had driven over a screw and scrambled to get my tire fixed before it went flat. Astro was able to help me immediately and fixed my tire in 15 minutes. They were friendly, efficient, and able to help me quickly when other places said they couldn t until this evening or tomorrow. I ll definitely return to them in the future!

We have gone to Astro Automotive for several years. In the beginning, I would shop around a bit to make sure their pricing and recommendations were on par with other reputable shops. We always ended up back at Astro.They earned our exclusive business for being kind, honest and fair. Whether it was a silly little tire patch job because I had just run over a bolt in the road or last minute timing belt replacement job, Brian always found a way to fit me in and get the job done efficiently. Most recently, on one of the very hot summer days, my battery died. Brian went above and beyond by coming to my house to jump my car with his portable jumper tables (my car was parked in an inconvenient spot) and replacing my battery immediately at the shop.We've since moved out of state and we miss having Astro Automotive as our go-to car service shop. I trust these guys entirely and encourage anyone who is looking to build a lasting relationship with an automotive shop to turn to these guys! I have been taking my car to Astro Auto for several years and I could not be happier with their honesty and great service. Their prices are much less than the dealerships. I feel that Astro really cares about me and my car and that I am not just another customer. I have to say they are the best auto repair and service place that I have ever taken my car to. I never have any surprises as Astro always calls and gives me full details on anything that has come up on my car.
