Very affordable (less than half the cost of labor from another shop), knowledgeable, skilled technicians that specialize in transmission used parts and repair. They don't pull transmissions or reinstall them, but they can repair them internally.

Called Will and got a quote of 600-700 to rebuild my t56 for my drift car. Said it would take about a week and he delivered on that. I paid under what I was quoted, and had a great experience overall. Would recommend him my transmission is shifting great now and is ready for more years of abuse!

These guys are fantastic! Their work is quality and their prices are quite reasonable. They know their stuff about manual transmissions! I have taken. Several transmissions to them over the years and never had any issues.There are times it can seem turnaround time is longer than expected, but keep in mind they are the only shop that I know of that specializes in ONLY manual transmissions. That being said the wait is always worth it. Their customer service is at the top in the industry!You can't go wrong choosing them for your manual transmission service!

One stop shop for your manual Transmission Big or small. Parts, Rebuild, Swaps. I purchased my bearing kit for my NV5600 here at A-1 rather then getting unknown bearing and parts via eBay. Yes eBay was cheaper but you get what you pay for. All Timken and Koyo bearings and seals. Top notch service, they have went above and beyond to secure me as a future customer highly recommend. Will, was very helpful with answering questions and leading me to a nice NV5600 REBUILD. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Make sure you get everything in writing or they will scam you! I was originally quoted $750 and four days for a synchro repair in my t56, two weeks later they finally get to my transmission and called me and told me it needed a 1-2 shift assembly as well and it would be $1000 now. Not a huge deal so i told them to go ahead and repair it. Well i go to pick the transmission up and the bill comes out to almost $1900. They tried to tell me they put $1000 dollars worth of parts in it alone plus labor but you can get a complete rebuild kit for less than $500 from summit racing. I could have had tick performance completely rebuild it with cryo gears and billet shift assemblies for that price! Moral of the story get all of your quotes in writing or email or they will do the same thing to you.Service: Transmission

Great experience with these guys. They were courteous enough to show me the exact problem with my transfer case, and fixed it for a fair price. Would highly recommend. No bs from them like many other shops I have experienced in the past. Thanks yall!

Had trouble finding a transfer case chain for my car, these guys were the ONLY people within driving distance that had it in stock. Price was entirely reasonable ($10 less than what I was initially quoted,) they had the correct part on hand and ready to go when I showed up. No fuss, incredible service, I will definitely be back and will strongly suggest them to my friends and family!

I had a transmission that maybe needed to be rebuilt, we brought it there 2 months ago and it took a month and a half for them to even look at it, which was fine since we working on replacing the clutch. Eventually, they did take it apart and it only need seals, they ordered them and delayed more on getting it back together. Then charged us 600$ for replacing the only the seals. After we brought it home we also noticed the shift linkage was on incorrectly and there was no fluid in it.Service: Transmission

We were broke down 80 miles away with a bad t-case. I called in the morning and they built one for me by 2 and cheaper than everyone else. Will was very helpful. The fact that the guy at Napa Auto parts said they were the best after I had already bought it put my mind at ease. Just drove the remaining 900+ miles home with no problems. I'll be getting my jeep tranny from them at the end of the month.

Not recommended I purchase a transfer case 8 months ago I have to take it back twice and I don't know if it's going to be good this last time no warranty and they get mad when you ask for any warranty

If you're looking to get quality work done in a expedited time frame, then A-1 Transmission is the place for you... Will and the staff at A-1 were very professional and insightful. The cost of my assembled transmission was substantial to say the least but Will helped our family out with that burden.. They're not here to kill the average families household budget, they're here to simply see families back on the road and back to work. Our family really appreciates a business that has more meaning to it's customers other than making a quick buck! Look them up, you won't be disappointed!

Mark was so wonderful when he helped me out... I was being "that cheap customer", not cuz I was asking him to discount his parts, but because I'm working on a budget (DIY, not by choice, but by necessity) and I was just telling him what I could afford and what I couldn't. Despite that, he gave me the best of customer service experience even tho I could tell he was hot, busy and exhausted.He was very fair with me on price, did great labor for me in an astounding timeframe, and truly delivered above and beyond what I had requested. I am a loyal customer for anything transmission related from here on out.Thank you so much, Mark! U really helped me out. I wish every place I did business with gave me the experience that you provided... Cheers mate!

I dropped off my Jeep JK 6-Speed NSG370 transmission and received it back within 3 days. I worked with Mark who was very knowledgeable and approachable. I'll defiantly going back for any future transmission needs!

Will is great and he worked with me I really needed this transmission back so I could get it in my truck because I have to move and when I told him to situation he fit me in and I know he's got weeks and weeks out of work and did not have to. Sorry about the grammar guys talk to text here as I am driving LOL

Called them this morning asking if they stock a certain tranfercase bearing spring ring and they told me to call someone else without even offering to look. Horrible customer service.

Been doing business with these guys for 20+ years! Always happy with the transmissions. If there was an issue, they take care of it professionally. Would absolutely recommend!
