I'm 60 plus years, credit rating mid 700s, never been denied an account for any reason until these goofs. Tried to open a checking account so I could move all my banking to this outfit. Got this notice back: "It appears this account was recently opened in Jan of 2024 and has not been utilized yet. We will be able to review again in 6 months but need you to utilize the account more in order to qualify for the checking account. Please let us know if you have any questions." Would you want to do business with these folks? I don't.

Destiny, at the Crestone branch, was very helpful with getting my business account set up. Megan and Raquel were great in the Salida location as well.

I've had my account here for a few years. I recommend going anywhere else. My card has been shut off three times trying to make purchases. I still had money in my account. Aventa's theft protection system triggers just by going grocery shopping a block away. Terrible service. Go to a bank in Alamosa if you have the means. Aventa Crestone branch is a joke.

I had some problems in the beginning and opening an account at this branch. They needed documentation of my address, but all of my mail goes to a PO Box. I went in three times before on the fourth time. I finally had the right information. Some of the clerks, on the first three visits were a little short, but the teller on my fourth visit was outstanding. She was very friendly and explained things very well. Her name was Rachel and she was a district manager of tellers or something like that. I was going to give them one more try with some new paperwork, but I had almost given up. Once Rachel helped I was very happy that I had been persistent. I was also happy when I heard some of the great services they offer.

I use Aventa for my small business and I couldn't be happier with them. The employees are wonderfully helpful and have gone above and beyond on more than one occasion. I've sent some pretty large wire transfers and they walked me through the whole process and my day to day with them is always a positive experience.You can opt out of anything that would cost you fees, just ask about it and they'll take care of it.FREE BALOONS!!!!!!

I was forced to revise my review of Aventa, only due to the great staff at the local branch. I did not enjoy the process of transition to the conservatorship (bankruptcy) to a new bank company from the old bank's. Very annoying dealing with a whole rigmarole. But after that everything is improved and they pretty much aren't too annoying besides the whole overdraft when I expressly declined it thing.

Absolutely worst financial institution I have ever had to deal with. They charged me $5 a month for eleven months for NOT using a bill paying service that I never signed up for, then refused a refund. Thieves.

Aventa is everything I would want in a small hometown financial institution. Low rates, convenient hours, they know my name when I walk in. Works for me.

I ordered new debit cards on Sept. 27th still have not recieved them. I'm going to find a new place to bank soon.
