David Hindes really came thru in a pinch. My wife and friends and I were stranded while vacationing in CB. We had a tire blow out at the beginning of the weekend. A donut spare kept us from planned excursions sightseeing along the trails.David and his Team got us up and rolling again. Their prompt and courteous service was a reminder there are still great people in CB willing and ready to help us all have safe travels. We will be back in the Fall. I recommend Altitude Auto for your repair needs.Service: Tires

Altitude Auto and Tire was amazing! They got our car needs taken care of same day and saved us from driving with a dead headlight bulb in the middle of a snow storm. The price was reasonable and the experience was seamless.

Awesome service and great prices. We are second homeowners in Crested Butte, and these folks have reliably, professionally, and happily taken care of our SUV whenever we've had problems. Dave saved our vacation Crested Butte! We started having issues starting our car the night we arrived and called several shops in CB and Gunnison the next morning, none of whom would even be able to take a look at our car for at least a few days. Dave said to bring it in right now, he quickly diagnosed that we needed a new battery (which was not obvious from the way the car was behaving) and replaced it with one that he had in stock. Who does that anymore? Total time of around 30 min, and we were driving to the trailhead for our first hike. Awesome guy!Service: Battery

The owner was super helpful and was able to order a part and fix our car within the same day! His prices were affordable and reasonable which is hard to find in car-world. He saved our road trip and we are so grateful! Thanks so much altitude auto!

I don't usually leave reviews for places, but felt compelled to leave one after the great experience I had here today.I discovered a flat tire as I was packing up to drive home from CB and initially called to purchase some new tires. They don't have tires stocked, but offered to make sure my car was road worthy enough to make it home. When I showed up, they were able to fix my tire and get me on the road quickly.Absolute lifesavers. I can't recommend this place enough.Service: Tires

My tire was going flat while camping near Crested Butte. Not a great feeling when you re in a far away place and supposed to be relaxing! I looked up the nearest tire shops and Altitude Auto and Tire was the closest. We pulled in and amazingly the owner had his worker fix the tire in about 30 minutes and was very reasonably priced. They found a nail in the tire then repaired it. I expected to get ripped off because it s like going to the ER - you don t know the cost till it s over. But have to say this place is quick and affordable. Highly recommended.

Dave has been my mechanic of choice for many years.I take my trucks here as well as my clients vehicles. I'm a backyard mechanic and do some stuff myself, so I can tell when I'm getting good work done. These guys are always honest and consistently reliable.Yep. Still my favorite mechanic.

So thankful for Dave and his team! He walked me through the diagnosis of the problem, I walked out paying less on labor than I thought I should have paid, and he threw in a extra minor repair. Super grateful for this place and Dave. Would recommend him to everyone who s in Crested Butte.

Fantastic guy! We had a leaky tire and he fixed it in 30 minutes, even though we didn t have an appointment. Very reasonable price. Saved us big time. Thank you!

We were ready to leave Crested Butte Mountain but due to the cold weather our car didnt start anymore. We called Altitude Auto and they came out within an hour to help us. Luckilly we only needed a jump start and we were on our way. Great friendly service, thanks Josh and Dave!

Had me in and out in a day. Brought my Subaru in with surging issue and flashing CEL. Diagnosed and repaired in the same day in December! Incredible service and reasonable prices, he even came and picked me up from town.

Broke a wheel and a tire through Monarch pass. I ordered the wheel, they ordered the tire and got the car back on the road in a couple days from them diagnosing the wheel and tire as unfixable. So fast and easy! I had a flat tire on the last day of my ski vacation and brought it here in the morning. They patched it in under 30 minutes for a very reasonable price.
