I've battled my van not starting for 8 weeks. GM in Flagstaff did 6500 in repairs, and 2 days later it wouldn't start. Maxwell Automotive took it, and in 30 minutes identified a frayed wire in the doghouse area of my van, and in 30 minutes I was back on the road. Thank God for mechanics who think outside the box! I will keep their number on speed dial!UPDATE! Because of the mess Flagstaff made, I began having strange things happen in the cabin. Lights not functioning, alarms going off, no heat or air. Randy checked the wiring on the volt meter and installed a new ignition and AGAIN, I'm up and running! These folks are HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, and really put their customers first by LISTENING. I must say their prices are also affordable!

Our trip to Colorado was cut short as 60 miles outside of Cortez, in Arizona, our passenger side outer tie rod came off. They recommended Blairs Towing (highly recommended)to come get us as AAA couldn't send anyone out until the next day. Maxwell's got the repairs done and back on the road. Very nice people, very professional.

The Maxwell Automotive team are true life savers! My car broke down in a remote area. Tammy and the crew are so helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Maxwell automotive goes above and beyond to ensure the car's safety. I am so impressed with their professionalism, integrity, and compassion in a crisis situation. Maxwell Automotive did an amazing Job repairing what was needed to be repaired. They also have amazing customer service. They were very polite. Honest, reliable shop! I've done price quotes around town for each of the times I've needed service over they past 15 years. And these guys always seem to be on point price wise. After all mechanics are paid for their experience. Our truck broke down and we had it towed to Maxwell Automotive and with in 24 hours they had it fixed and it hasn t ran this good in a long time! Tammy in the office is very helpful! A very professional and reasonably priced mechanic shop! We are so happy we found a great place to have our vehicles fixed! We recommend them to everyone! My truck broke down in Mexican Hat, UT while on my way home to Phoenix, AZ. The tow company that I hired brought me to Maxwell's late on a Sunday and when I checked in with them first thing Monday morning they already had it in the shop and on the hoist diagnosing it. Tammy was awesome communicating with me with on their findings right away and they had ordered, received and replaced the driveshaft with me back on the road in less than 4 hours. I am so happy with the friendly and quality service that I received!Service: Engine repair

We had a tie rod come loose as we were driving from Northern AZ to Silverton CO 56 miles South of Cortez. My AAA didn't have any one in the area who could come tow us until the next day.I made some calls to the closest automotive shops and Tammy at Maxwell Automotive was incredible!I explained our predicament and she said they should be able to repair our vehicle AND gave me a number for a tow company who should be able to help us.Steve of Blairs towing came and got us, dropped the truck off at Maxwell's and took us to into town!The next morning Maxwell automotive had our truck fixed in just a few hours!! They were Outstanding!They replaced the other side as it was replaced the same time as the one that failed.Absolutely wonderful people! Fantastic service! We are truly grateful for the work and all their help

Maxwell Automotive is the place to go for auto repair! While on a long vacation trip we blew a spark plug (Ford Triton Engine) out in the desert and limped into town. Local Ford dealer said it would be two weeks to even check it out.(Thanks-NOT) Called Maxwell Automotive and talked to Tammy. She was very knowledgeable and reassuring about their staff expertise on this type of problem. Drove it there and further discussed the repair with Mechanic Lyle. Top notch guy! Left the truck on site and called back the next morning to check on things and it was already repaired and out for a test drive! They were aware of our traveling predicament and took care of us right away. They have a good reputation for taking care of folks with vehicle issues while traveling. Thank you Tammy, Lyle and staff for doing what you do to help us out in dire straights.Service: Engine repair

This place gave me outstanding service at very reasonable prices. Long story short, dealerships don't have a clue, Maxwell's mechanics are real people that know what they are doing. They replaced a oil filter housing and spark plugs on my 2015 wrangler. I am well pleased with the service. Thought I needed an oil pump replaced, they checked it out and said oil pump and solenoid were ok. That's honesty. TAMI really treated me right. When my van blew a spark plug out of the cylinder head at Mesa Verde NP, I had it towed to Maxwell.They had it fixed the very next day and the repair was more reasonable that I would have thought.Tammy was so nice and friendly and they guys were so good that I had to buy them breakfast!Now, I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else in Cortez but Maxwell Automotive.

They where so amazing. like just good people all around. they did such a good job on my 08 Saturn. It had a few big problems ,they fixed all of them and made my SUV run smooth and nice again. For an affordable price too. I was so shocked at how cheap it was for the work that needed to be done . and they worked with me on paying the bill . I am so happy very satisfied with this shop. I highly recommend them to everyone. They even came after they where closed so I could get somethings out of my car . and met me on the weekend to get my car Back to me. They had my back big time time. Thank u guys so much. I am so so so so happy with yall! I will defiantly be using them again ,and all my friends will be too.!! I was so disappointed with maxwell. They were suppose 2 flush radiator when we picked it up our bill was 801.84 they put n a new radiator thermostat without checking with us. When I asked the lady 2 explain the bill 2 us she got real nasty. Qe will pass the word around how dishonest they are. Please don't do business with them . No my name is Billy I have a 06 Dodge Durango with the 5.7 and it had a sensor go out and I got a tow job for 18 miles into Cortez and Dennis dropped metow truck and the shop there Maxwell fixed it within 4 hours I was very impressed

Maxwell is cost-efficient, professional, and friendly, and reliable. They give me a ride to work when I drop off my truck and come pick me up later. We were smelling antifreeze while traveling through Colorado. We pulled into Maxwell s and they checked our radiator. We had a hole in it. With- in 24 hours they had the part, installed it, and we were on our way. They were pleasant, professional, and helpful.

Traveling through and had vehicle troubles, they were willing to get us in right away. The mechanic that helped us was able to do his job faster than any other mechanic we've known and had it not been for a faulty part from Napa we would have been back on the road in under an hour. Price was reasonable. Customer service was excellent. Mechanic knew his stuff.

We have made two appointments with Maxwell Automotive and have been very pleased with the courtesy and knowledge we have received from everyone we have dealt with. We would recommend Maxwell Automotive to family friends and strangers because we believe they are fair and absolutely knowledgeable in the automotive business. We were referred by a friend and would like to extend it to anyone looking for a good mechanic.

Fantastic service! We were broke down in Cortez during a trip from Oregon to New Mexico. They worked on our truck first thing in the morning and got us back on the road. Truck ran great for another 2000 miles to get us home. Terrific people, very helpful.

I had a loud whirring noise on a trip down to the area of Cortez. I described it to everyone over the phone. Maxwell was able to get me in with an appointment same day. They did not give me the run around and explained the whole issue to me. They were able to get me running so I wasn't stuck in town for an extended time. I truly appreciated their assistance. This place is awesome! Super friendly, stayed late to fix my van right before the holiday! So grateful for their help! There is a reason why all the shops in town, who were to buisy, highly recommend them! Thanks to the office lady, who got it rolling, and Vince who stayed late! 10 stars....

I give them one star; if I could give them less I would... It has been a horrible experience dealing with Tammy and the mechanics from Maxwell Automotive! First thing you should know is that I wasn't able to get a proper diagnosis for my Duramax. I had to another place to get it fixed also they will charge you twice what parts actually cost. The whole ordeal has been a lot more in depth and drown out then it needed to be. In short, feel free to save your money by avoiding this store!

I have my vehicle worked on at Maxwell. I don t trust anyone else to touch my car. Everyone that works there is the best. Will be going back and will recommend Maxwell Automotive.

A wonderful experience with an expert mechanic and a very hospitable front office. They took us in last minute on New Year's Eve and had us fixed and out in an hour with a very reasonable cost.
