We had a car problem in Mesa Verde National Park and managed to get to Cortez Auto Repair. They were more than gracious and were able to get the needed part from the Ford dealer (a special delivery to Cortez Auto) in less than 30 minutes. Todd made the repair quickly. We were even given chilled water and dining recommendations. The price was quite reasonable. We very much appreciated the great service without an appointment. I would definitely recommend this company.

We broke down on a family vacation. They were booked out straight but helped as much as possible. It was found that my truck couldn't be repaired in time for us to get home because it lost a valve seat and needed a head. They pointed us to some reputable used car dealers in the area. I couldn't be more thankful for the owner and his wife they were awesome!!!

We were 4400 miles from home when our vehicle broke down. The owners were amazing, they couldn't help us with the blown motor but they did all they could to direct us and help where they were able. We were so very thankful to come across them and their location. Honest, hard working people!

Cortez Auto Repair is wonderful! We drove to Cortez from the Grand Canyon (after driving 2,000 miles to get there) and my van started having some issues. The next morning, my husband took it to Cortez Auto Repair. They drove it around to get a feel for what was wrong. They spent a good amount of time assessing the needs of the van and changed the spark plugs and oil. We were able to complete the rest of our vacation knowing that we would be able to make the 2,000 mile drive home safely. I am thankful for their knowledge and service while we were so far away from home.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was in town for work. I drove from Wisconsin. My hubby is a mechanic and changed 2 belts before I left. My car squeeled when I started it after not being driven for a while and i had to drive to Houston the next day. . So I brought it here. Customer service was fabulous. Very kind owners. Reasonable price. They tighted my belts and I was good to go! THANK YOU!

We were on a road trip driving through Cortez when we noticed a leak. Cortez Auto Repair was able to get us in last minute and replace our water pump in the same day. The mechanics are skilled and knowledgeable, and everyone was really nice. I would highly recommend this auto shop! While on vacation near Mesa Verde, I needed my tail lights and right blinker repaired. Not only was Rhonda kind and courteous over the phone while I inquired; but she also worked me into their schedule the same day to get the job done! At first I was a bit surprised at the price (labor); but realized it was well worth the investment after seeing their awesome work!Thank you Cortez Auto Repair!

Couldn't ask for more professional, caring and nicer people. My family was traveling through the area and our truck started to overheat. Instead of telling us they were too busy like everyone else. Fred and Todd (owners) have been our go to mechanics for over 10 years. We live 20 miles away and there are other options for us but we always take our vehicles for repair to them. They are very honest, hard working guys that do excellent work and fair prices. They just replaced the transmission in our truck and had it done quickly and we are very pleased. You will never be worried having them do your repairs.

We were traveling through town a couple weeks ago with some air conditioning problems on almost a 100 day. We stopped by and they fixed the issue for a great price, although I'm sure some places would have tried to take advantage of the fact that we were out of town and out of options. Extremely helpful when I called.Owner was able to set me up with a tow truck to the shop which arrived in less than an hour. Price per hour on labor was more than fair, and the charge for the part (99 V8 Cherokee starter) was the same if I would've bought the part from a local retailer.I'm a former professional mechanic and still retain my ASE certifications, and I fully trust Cortez Auto Repair with any of my road going vehichles.

Todd and Fred have serviced my vehicles for 7 years. Just recently I had a warranty issue with a defective clutch. They stuck by their warranty and replaced it right away at no charge. Very honest.

Amazing !!! We had an electrical issue with our Motorhome. He spent an hour working on it - problem was in the wiring somewhere inaccessible so not able to be fixed. He refused payment even after we insisted. Professional and extremely pleasant.

Had a bad front wheel bearing on a motorcycle. Out of the goodness of their hearts, lent us Snap On bearing puller and slide hammer. We tried to pay/tip the person there but he absolutely refused. Really helped us out on an epic motorcycle trip. THANK YOU!!!
