I hate to do this because these guys used to be my transmission go-to guys, but I can no longer recommend them. I took a car in with a broken 4L60 and I got back a car with an even more broken 4L60 and was told it was not fixable because parts are not available. The positive note is that they refunded me the deposit that I gave them, so I didn't have to pay for the pleasure of getting back a more broken car than when I left it there. Always get a second opinion. AC transmission is now my go to place for transmission work. They got the "unfixable" car in and fixed it. Go there instead.

I had to have an Odyssey transmission rebuilt. It s a costly and major repair that my wife and I dreaded. I googled, called 4 shops and stopped by 3 in the greater Denver area and eventually selected Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp. in Northglenn. I believe most other shops do a fine job as well. But ATEC stood out and the impression I got made my decision to choose ATEC over the others a no-brainer. From the beginning to the end of the process of the rebuild my belief that I chose the right shop was reinforced. I d recommend ATEC for transmission work to anybody who has such a need. More specifics:Pluses:* I started feeling comfortable working with the owner Don immediately after my first call with him. I feel he is honest, upfront about the process and good at communicating and setting my expectation. Meeting him face to face gave me the impression that he s more an engineer, than a business man. He also gave me a tour of the shop which was very helpful. We even talked about the negative reviews online and I think Don was honest about them as well. There was a hiccup when the work was almost done - a leak in the 1st gear which took a couple more days to fix. Don did a good job communicating the setback clearly and honestly.* The price range Don gave me on the phone was more attractive than the other two shops I checked out. The final price was within the quoted range even after an additional mount was replaced.* ATEC offers a 3-y warranty which is the best among the shops I called. Don and I talked about the details of what s covered and what s not. I feel the warranty is fair and good to have. I sense Don is serious about helping his customers through the warranty. I feel strongly that they ll honor the warranty and in the unlikely event that the transmission fails again within 3 years (even though I hope it would last another 100k miles w/o issues) they will cover all the cost for labor and parts. But more importantly it gives me the confidence that they ll stand by their work, and they ll do quality work from the beginning.* Jerry worked on my transmission. He showed me the the laid out parts after it was opened up, and explained to me how the transmission works and what would need to be replaced. Bill helped with the repair as well and showed me a cracked mount to be replaced. Being able to see the damaged parts and the inside of the transmission with my own eyes, and meeting and talking to the guys who actual does the work and hearing from them about the specific was very helpful in building up confidence and trust. I feel both Jerry and Bill are honest and trustworthy people and know what they are doing.* I like the two-week later checkup as a good idea in building up confidence and trust, and proof that ATEC is serious about the warranty as well.Minuses:* The time it took to complete the transmission rebuild was just shy of 2 weeks which was longer than my initial expectation of 1 week although this was due to mostly a storm caused power outage, and a glitch. I wasn t in a rush and this was understandable.I give them 5 stars.Below picture is my transmission.

January 2023 I had my truck towed home from this place July 2022 I drove the truck there and put it down payment on to have the transmission rebuilt they could not sync the motor with the transmission when they were done trucks there from September to January with nothing being done I was given excuse after excuse truck was towed home had three shops in the area said they wouldn't work on it because it came from this shop only good experience what was the lady in the front office does her best I would not recommend this shop to anyone and yes he said bring it back after I fix the motor which they put into limp mode brakes did not work when I had the truck towed homeDrove the truck there towed it home

I dropped off my TH400 transmission out of my long dormant '72 Suburban and asked if they could rebuild it to it's former glory, with importance of keeping everything numbers matching. Every interaction here was so friendly and kind, and they recognized how important this project was to me and made sure everything was done correctly and to my liking. No matter the transmission need moving forward, this is the only place I will trust with my business.

I highly recommend this business. We had just bought a used car, and two days later we heard a rattling sound. No shop would see us to quickly look at the car. We assumed it was the transmission and found ATEC online. Robin was incredibly professional and helpful and agreed to squeeze us in the next morning. They looked at the car, and while we were fully expecting to need a new transmission, it was just a loose bracket. They fixed this bracket at no cost to us. They are so helpful and honest, and we had a great experience. I would give them more stars if I could.Service: Transmission

Highly recommend this business. Very professional and honest owner. We were traveling from KS to CO and noticed a sound we thought was a transmission problem. We called and requested an appointment to run a diagnostic before we traveled home to KS. We were accommodated without an appointment on a Saturday morning! A great big Thank you goes out to Automotive Transmission Engineering Corporation for the professional courtesy we received and the informative explanation from the owner, Donald Ramer, regarding what was causing the sound. We were reassured that we were most likely safe to drive home to KS. When it was time to leave we asked how much we owed them for the diagnostic and they insisted there was no charge. Our experience renewed our belief that there are honest people out there still. I would absolutely recommend this business!Service: Transmission

Excellent customer service, Robin was awesome in being polite,v nice and professional. my truck took less time than I thought it would. And they also saved me money on the work they did even doing a few things for free. Both of gentlemen of the shock came in to the front area show me pictures of my drive shaft and my transfer case. They explained everything that was going on, what happened and what they had to replace. that made me feel right at home and very comfortable about the work they did. I couldn't be more satisfied with their services. I would recommend anybody to the shop oh, and I will be definitely going back for any services and bringing my family there as well.

Excellent job! Very thorough and professional work was done on my 2005 Ram 2500. Yeah it's got 330k miles, but it feels like a new truck with the rebuilt transmission. Truly didn't expect that! These guys are very transparent and keep all the parts they replace so the customer can see exactly what's been done and why. Thank you so much guys, you'll be getting more work from me.

These guys are the best! I had 3 other shops diagnos a rearmain needing to be replaced. Bill took a look and dug a little deeper seeing the oil coming from the oil pressure sensor being loose. They saved me an easy $1000!

We needed to have our transmission rebuilt, and so far, we have no complaints. It took 2 weeks to get the repair done. The customer service was great; they answered all of our questions and kept us informed throughout the whole process. There was only one nuance, but it had to do with Google Maps. When looking for the location, Google sends you to the wrong location and then tells you to walk the rest of the way. So, I would suggest calling ahead so that Automotive Transmission can guide you to the right location until Google gets it right.

I cannot say enough positive comments about a shop as I feel about this one! Robin's contiguous kindness from the phone to paperwork, to Bill coming out of the bay to catch you up on all details of what he found wrong with your vehicle, to the additional details and explanations of each and everything they found possible wrong from Don! Seriously I have never had trust or faith in a body shop, until I visited this place! They are so kind, friendly, super knowledgeable, very understandable in addition to patient! Their love for fixing vehicles the first time as well as for their commitment to their customers, SHOWS!I cannot thank you ALL enough for Once again (2nd visit -- 2 years apart, same truck) giving me faith back in my 07 Cadillac Escalade! Back in March 2017, I was heading to work and my car was puttin past Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp and all I was thinking was Please car, get me to work. I made it to work and called several transmission companies getting quotes on automatic transmission re-builds for a 2004 Honda Accord. The best quote and warranty I got was with Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp. They were even willing to tow my car over to their shop from my work if my car wouldn t have made the drive there. They had my car for about a week and did a complete transmission re-build. Don, the owner explained everything to my husband and I on how the transmissions are built and why they can offer a three year unlimited warranty on their product. These guys are very confident in their work that they will do a fantastic job!Just about a month ago, I put 30,000 miles on this new transmission. They recommended at 30K to have a transmission flush done. I did this just this past week Jan. 2019. Don was thrilled to have seen my car come back to them to have service done and so they could review their own work. He told me my car looks great and with 240,000 miles on it, there is nothing wrong with my car looks and runs great!I would recommend this shop over and over to anyone who needs work done on their transmission. They are very friendly, guarantee their work and are very knowledgeable. For as long as I own this car, (or any other car) and I m sure I can add another 250K miles to it, I will continue to take it back to Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp for its maintenance. Thank you guys for a job well done!

Rebuilt the transmission on my 2007 Honda Pilot. Excellent customer service & care. They were very upfront with the progress of the repair and were extremely accommodating to my situation. And to top that off, the most competitive price I could find w/ warranty included. The Pilot is now shifting like new. Highly recommend this service shop.Service: Transmission

Excellent customer service, by knowledgeable, skilled transmission technicians. Fair prices and a shop you can trust! I have had 2 of my own vehicles repaired here over the last several years with excellent results and they are still going strong. I have referred friends and family to this shop, and they have all had excellent experiences as well. I wouldn t trust anyone else to work on my transmissions and they always go the extra miles for the customer!

Took in my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 with a 48RE. They knew exactly what I had, what the most likely problems were, and rebuilt it to the strongest possible for towing. Great price, great service, great people. Recieved all old parts and a thorough explanation of what had happened, why, and an education from the owner what to not do in the future. This shop has now become my favorite shop to go to. Everyone is so nice and professional, and will make sure everything is done right. Don really knows what he s doing and will take care of whatever you bring him. And Robing will make sure to greet you with a great smile and keep you updated on what you ve brought. My experience here has been the smoothest and most headache free when it comes to shops. I m currently building my car and as we all know, it isn t cheap. Having someone like Don go threw and show you what you need and why. Gives me peace of mind, because at the end of the day I know everything is done right the first time around. I will definitely keep doing business with them. They are simply the best. And in the long run I break less parts because of them. And am on the road enjoying my project instead of it still being on a lift. They are more than just a shop, they are like that friend that always has your back. These guys are the best! They went above and beyond to help me get my car fixed. We came in with a transmission problem and after getting the car back, it was still acting up. They helped me take it from one dealer to another when the first one didn't solve the issue. They have true compassion for their customers. I greatly recommend Don, Bill and Robin. You won't be disappointed.

I had a transmission go out... on a Sunday. With no where open I had it towed into a dealership. After calling around for quotes the following day, I ended up here. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They even towed my vehicle to their shop from the dealership, at no charge! They did a great job, at a fair price, and they have a good warranty as well.

From the first call I made it was obvious this company was professional in their communication. Upon arriving I was greeted well and my vehicle was looked at right away. I was pleasantly surprised to find that even though I had high mileage on my vehicle the mechanic explained to me that following his test drive there seemed to be no need to do any service work on the transmission. The explanation was clear and technically made sense. This obviously saved me money and time. I can only imagine what other unscrupulous repair service centers might have charged me to do work that would apparently not have been needed. I would recommend this company to anyone with transmission questions or issues in their vehicles!

Don, Bill, and Robin are top notch!! They took care of me as if I were family. My transmission warranty was almost up and my vehicle had pulled transmission codes, so naturally I took it back to them. They welcomed me with open arms and fixed my issue at zero cost. They have my business for life!!!

Excellent and long-lasting rebuild on my 2000 BMW 528i sedan. I had my transmission rebuilt about 4 years ago has not given me 1 oz of trouble since and the rebuild was reasonably affordable, timely completion, good communication, extremely happy with the outcome and longevity of the work done.

I will never take my vehicle back here and I would never recommend anyone to get their vehicle repaired at this shop. If I could give this repair shop 0 stars I definitely would.1. The owner Don told us he would have our vehicle ready 5 days from the day we dropped it off. Our vehicle was not ready until 10 days after we dropped it off. Throughout the whole time our vehicle was in his shop for repairs we had a very difficult time reaching contact with Don. Each day after the 5th day when we were able to reach contact with Don, he made promises that our vehicle would be ready the following day, and of course it was not.2. Don informed us that the repairs to our vehicle took so long because once they got the transmission apart their were many other things that they had to fix and he wanted to take his time to make sure it was done right.However, he did not fix our vehicle properly because a month later the seal on the transmission started leaking. Yes we are still with in the warranty from the repairs Don's shop did, but we do not trust his repairs and don't want his shop ever touching our vehicle again. So we have taken our vehicle to someone else that will repair our vehicle the correct way.3. Don bragged about how he has 5 stars in the reviews from previous customers. Don and his office clerk were very consistent and aggressively telling us several times to go online and give them a 5 star review.

About 2 years ago my car broke down and it was obviously the transmission. I talked with Don the owner of the shop and i was impressed by them and chose to rebuild my transmission which they recomended. I had a few issues on how long it took but im not going to go there in detail. At the time Don's shop policy was a three-year unlimited mile warranty for all rebuilt Transmissions from his shop about one and a half years after the rebuild my transmission fails again at 24000 miles before the first servicing at 30,000 miles so I took the car back to Dawn so that he would honor the warranty. long story short they wanted me to commit to paying for all the hardware that was broken inside of the transmission and they would cover the cost of Labor but whenever I brought up the warranty I was treated as if the failure of the transmission was my fault and I somehow failed to bring it to his attention. the day that I picked the car up I put it into reverse to back out of their parking lot and it's slammed into gear so I went back in and I brought it to their attention and I was told to give it some time to break in. I'm not a transmission expert but one thing that I do know is that Transmissions can be extremely costly and when you open one up and take it apart you are committing to spending some money but when they were trying to get me to commit to paying for the mechanical parts Don told me quote "it could possibly only cost you $30 from that moment on I knew I was being scammed I have been taking small claims classes preparing for court and my family lawyer says I have a very good case so Dawn if you're thinking about replying to this just remember if you give me my money back I will go away. I will also delete this review and I'm very glad I didn't give you a good Google review when my car was still running even though you harassed me about it every time we talked which is completely against Google policies. If anyone has questions i have texts, voice recordings,bills, and phone records id be glad to show them to you.

Absolutely the most wonderful staff! Extremely knowledgable and will call them for any automotive needs! They went above and beyond to help me, and treated me more like family than just a customer. I reached out to Automotive Transmission Engineering Corp after having a less than satisfactory experience at a Ford dealership. I originally came in because my F- 250 lost reverse and was in limp mode. As it turns out, the Ford dealership failed to mention a few key problems with my exhaust. The staff here was extremely helpful and informative. They not only found the dire issues that Ford missed, they made sure I could afford it. They were in contact with the dealership, and made sure I was aware of all the work that they were doing, how much it would cost, and when it would be done. They even went as far as to come in on a Sunday so I could have my vehicle before Monday. In conclusion, I highly recommend them to anyone needing honest and fast service, coupled with an owner devoted to his customers and community. I was more than satisfied with the overall experience, so much so that I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Don and his team rebuilt my truck transmission and I can't say enough great things about them. They really help work with me to build a really strong unit. Don and his crew are extremely knowledgeable and are very polite and you'll have a great transmission!

I really cannot say enough about this company and the people that work here. I took my 2005 Volvo S40 in with a bad slave cylinder and it ended up being about double the work I thought I needed due to internal damage. They worked with on every level to get my car back in running order and put it back together in better than new condition. After building several project vehicles myself and going through several transmissions, I can say that this is the best transmission shop I have ever worked with and would gladly bring any vehicle to them! They operate a clean facility and always keep clear communication which is something that is not found often in the automotive industry.

I have to say that this shop is not only professional but also comprehensive, fair, and very friendly. ATEC was recommended to me by a trusted mechanic that I regularly use and they did not disappoint. They completed a transmission rebuild for me and kept me in the loop through the entire process(rare these days.) I HIGHLY recommend everyone taking their car here! Dawn is simply so honestly and really cares about you and your car! He helped me out a ton!! I couldn't be more appreciative. He did amazing work on my BMW and went above my expectations and wanted me to take my car home knowing that I didn't have any complications. He promised me he'd help me with the price and would be willing to work with mean and wasn't there to rip me off and he stuck to his word. If you want to get your car fixed and aren't sure where to go come here! They are awesome!! I can't thank dawn enough!!

The ATEC crew - Robin, Bill and Don - are the utmost professional and are truly the mechanic relationship you ve been searching your entire life for!They re honest, truthful, caring, helpful and kind. When they tell you something, you know you can trust it. When they quote you a price, they stick to it. They even fix problems caused by other mechanics (or operator error : ) with a smile.I ve been using ATEC for multiple vehicles over multiple years and won t go anywhere else.Most recently, on a Saturday morning, I was stranded with a drive train issue and they dropped everything to drive 30 minutes one way to tow me to their shop.Nothing but raving reviews for ATEC and Crew!
