Jim and his crew are fantastic mechanics and have great integrity. They have gone above and beyond in helping me take care of issues with my 06 Lexus on numerous occasions, sometimes even last minute working me in. They have the best prices and use high quality parts. Jim also stands behind his work!! Highly recommend using them for your mechanical needs.

Had a bit of a transmission scare with my '05 Ford Expedition and ended up taking it to Trans Tech Auto and Truck on a friend's recommendation. Best decision I could've made. Jim gave me a quote that was way more reasonable than what I was expecting, thousands less compared to other places I received quotes from.The team did a fantastic job with the rebuild my car's shifting better than when I purchased it. It's nice to find a place that does great work without overcharging.Big thanks to Jim and the crew at Trans Tech Auto and Truck. Highly recommend them if you're having car troubles.

Owner Jim takes pride in and responsibility for his excellent work. So grateful that I stumbled across Trans Tech when shopping for a new transmission. They came significantly under local competitors in both cost and turnaround time and they demonstrated an expertise and confidence that were so reassuring. When another issue came to light after the completion of initial job, Jim ordered parts and made the fix expeditiously and all under warrantee. Thank you Jim and Trans Tech Team!

We took our 2007 Hummer H3 in to have leaks looked into and diagnose grinding noises from front end. Turns out the front diff and Transmission were in dire need of rebuild. Jim and his crew did an outstanding job rebuilding both! Jim took great care of us and kept us informed of what was going on. Turn around time was less as he informed and vehicle was ready when promised, The vehicles drives like new! We will highly recommend Trans Tech to all my friends for all repair needs.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair

Had my truck three months mostly on the back of the building. Cost two thousand more than was told. Go anywhere other than this place. The owner lied to my face many times.

Trans Tech Team were amazing with my 1970 C10. I knew my transmission was needing to be replaced or rebuild. Jim looked at it and he recommended Remanufactured which he and his team did the work. Super AMAZING Job and they even painted the transmission to a color that fit my truck. He also repaired some other desperately needed parts that were worn out.My wife and I 100% trust Jim and his crew. They have been working on my transmissions of various vehicles I owned for the last 20 years. Originally we were told replacing the transmission would take one day. They then told us we could not use our old support. It was too rusted and bent. They also told us that the frame was bent and the bolts in the torque converter were stripped and would delay the job. We tried to look for one at a junkyard and couldn't find one so they helped us order one. They told us that the new part would be in Tuesday the next week. I went in on that Thursday, after not hearing from them, and they told me it would be Tuesday or Wednesday the next week after the snow melts off the truck. Wednesday we called to check on the progress and was told it would be Friday before it was done. We asked why our job was getting pushed out so much after they had not met the promised dates. They got upset with the questions and told us to come get the truck to have someone else do the work. They told us we were not the first customer they've fired and we wouldn't be the last.they pushed the truck out to their parking lot and put the driveline in the back with all the snow. There were a lot of other bolts they just tossed on the floor board of the truck. I asked if we could still buy the part they ordered for us. I was told it was not for sale and they wanted to keep it. This is one more example of "you get what you pay for". Save yourselves the trouble and just go to Faithful Service Auto, they have great service and are friendly to work with. Faithful Service Auto also didn't find any stripped bolts or a bent frame.

My family has taken our daughters' Jeeps to Jim/Trans Tech several times now. We will definitely be a regular customer when we need work done on our Jeeps. They are courteous, professional, very thorough, and reasonably priced. They have traced unusual issues with our vehicles and figured out the cause (and fixed) every time. I brought my Dodge diesel truck to Trans Tech for some repairs and everything was completed in a timely manner and the cost was reasonable! My truck runs great and I'm very happy with the outcome! Jim answered any questions I had! I can tell he runs his shop with professionalism and integrity! My wife was impressed how clean the waiting room was for customers! I would recommend Trans Tech for all your auto needs and will bring my truck back for any future repairs!

I recently took my 1970 C-10 to Trans Tech for a motor swap, new transmission and few other items. I did my research, visited multiple shops and met with multiple shop owners prior to making a decision on who I would trust to work on my pride and joy. When I met with Jim we spoke at length about what I wanted, what was the best route to get there and what it would take and cost. I immediately felt the honesty and professionalism he brings to the table so I decided to use Trans Tech . Jim and his team at Trans Tech did not disappoint. This was a lengthy project, Jim kept in touch with me the whole time and I felt he had my best interest in mind throughout. At the conclusion of this project I couldn t be more pleased with Trans Tech, I got exactly what I wanted at a fair price. I recommend them highly due to their honesty, professionalism and quality of work.

My daughters 2006 Hummer transmission went out, and Jim was on it, he treated us like we were his family. I also had him work on my other vehicle and again was amazing. He did not take advantage of me at all what so ever, he was honest & professional. His team was far most the best!! This past week I took my aging truck in for a/c repair and wiper motor replacement. While there I also had the oil and filter changed. Chris, Mechanic, also discovered one of the motor belts was badly cracked and I had it replaced. I am thoroughly satisfied with all the work preformed and the treatment I received. From the initial contact of meeting Jim, President, and at the front desk with Sara, Office Manager, to the brief discussions with Chris everything was done professionally and I was treated warmly. While at the shop I noticed everyone that entered was also received in a warm and professional manner. The phones were also answered cordially and professionally.I highly recommend Trans Tech for car repair and service. Good people, good work, fair prices and first-class treatment. One of the best experiences I've encountered at a vehicle repair garage!

I took my vehicle to a well known transmission shop and was given a quote to rebuild a transmission that I didn't even have in my truck. So I decided to go to Jim at Trans Tech, which ended up being the best decision for my vehicle. Jim was very honest and upfront about what was needed for my vehicle. He put in a lot of time where I think others would have just given up or taken the easy way-out, Jim did what was needed to get me the best running truck possible. I unfortunately had to get an engine replaced on my Camry due to unprofessional work done on my car by a national franchise. I found Trans Tech Auto from the BBB and was very glad that I did. Jim and his staff treated me like family the moment I walked in the door. They took the time to explain the entire process of getting my engine replaced. Even when I looked for cheaper alternatives, Jim gave me the questions to ask of companies to ensure that I would be properly taken care of. Who does that these days? Well, in my search I found that Trans Tech was going to be the best option for me. They worked within my budget to get me a high quality used engine that runs great and is under warranty. Additionally, the car was repaired within a reasonable amount of time.It's great to find a local company that prides itself on integrity and keeping the customer's best interest in mind. No longer will I goto a national retail chain for repair work. I completely trust the guys at Trans Tech Auto for all of my auto needs. They have made a believer out of me and a customer for life. I highly recommend Jim and his staff for all of your auto repair needs. He is a class act and an honest person.

Bottom line? I saved a ton of money and had a quality repair in a very timely manner.I called and talked to Jim and told him about my 94'Suburban with a slipping transmission. I had been given a quote from another shop for a rebuilt transmission.I called TransTech for a second opinion. I spoke with Jim about my situation and he asked me some questions about the vehicle. He said my transmission might be repairable and not need a rebuilt (total replacement). This turned out to be true. This was a considerable savings.My dealings with all the staff at Trans Tech was excellent. There was great communication and explanation at every stage allowing me to make what I believe was a wise decision. In fact I saved so much, compared to the another shop's quote, that I was able to take care of some other maintenance on the truck. All the work has made my older vehicle a pleasure to drive.

Jim at Trans Tech Auto & Truck was amazing! We originally got a quote for our son's truck (he is active duty stationed in CO, we live in SC) repairs that was a minimum of $3000 from another shop. We decided to get a second opinion and I am so thankful we did! Jim and his team did a FULL transmission diagnostic and he was able to tell me, in layman's terms, exactly what needed to be repaired and what our options were. Not only did he save us $1000 dollars, he also got the job done in less than 3 days!! Every call was handled in a professional manner and Jim made sure we understood exactly what they were doing. I would recommend this shop/team to anybody!

As a returning customer, I've found that Jim and the folks at Trans Tech have maintained the same customer service, and professional service in taking care of the "special needs" of my 1997 Ford Explorer. Yes, I still drive my very-well taken care of Ford Explorer (230k miles). And I know these folks will it get done right the first time, at the best reasonable price. Also, "Front-Woman" Sara adds the caring professionalism and humor to their customer service right when you walk in their front door. Awesome!Rey

Our family appreciates the professional service provided by Jim and his team at Trans Tech. Not only are they extremely knowledgable and honest, they are all incredibly friendly. Unfortunately, finding an ethical and helpful mechanic shop is not easy. We are thankful some friends recommended Trans Tech when we needed some work done on one of our vehicles. We have been pleased with their work, their pricing, their friendly staff and their honesty and we now are happy to have them as our go-to mechanics and highly recommend them to others.

Jim and his crew are the ultimate example of integrity and service in all they do. I have been with them for over 5 years and they have done everything from oil changes to transmission rebuilds for me and I have always been very pleased with their work and care of my vehicles. I wouldn't recommend any other company to anyone other than Trans Tech!! Job well done guys, as usual!

I have been taking my vehicles to Jim at Trans Tech for over 10 years and will take my vehicle no where else. The work is excellent and I trust Jim and his personnel to perform honest and fair priced work. Thanks to all at Trans Tech!I brought my son's car into Trans Tech as it had a noise in the front end. He found a tie rod loose. He repair it right away. Also my son was told by another shop that he had to replace the front light units. Jim replaced just the bulb. Thanks Jim for an awesome job!

The mechanics at Trans Tech Auto have gotten to know my 1988 Ford Escort quite well over the last year or so, simply because I don't trust any other shop with my metal baby. Every experience is amazing, from me having to leave my car in downtown Springs and them finding it with my absolutely terrible directions to it, to fixing my car's transmission for the best price in the 719, I called around too, I couldn't even fathom taking my car anywhere else. Amazing open-minded staff who loves to help you with your car problems and helps prevent future problems. I wish my maintenance man was as awesome as these guys. Thanks again trans tech for never disappointing!

Jim, Sara & Chris (technician), thank you for the honest work done on my 1992 Acura Legend. It was in need of some TLC and Chris did a truly professional job with a long list of maintenance requests (replaced the timing belt/water pump and related parts, replaced other engine belts, ABS diagnostic, transmission/power steering/brake/transfer case fluid flush, new battery, washer fluid tube repair as well as others). The turn around time to get my vehicle was quicker than I expected and I appreciate Chris' diligence in getting my Acura back on the road quickly.Sara was very customer service oriented and always would get me the answer I needed in short order. She was such a joy to work with and it's worth the trip to Trans Tech just to deal with her. Sara is very friendly and another true professional.Jim was very honest in recommending maintenance items for my vehicle. I received daily updates from Jim about the status of my repairs. Jim spend several days looking for a salvaged part to help minimize my costs ... that was very much appreciated.This was my second time using Trans Tech (first time was for a transmission on a 1999 Toyota Sienna) and I would not hesitate to return for my future vehicle maintenance needs. My repair costs were less than what I was quoted at other local service shops and my customer service needs were exceeded. Thank you again for the excellent service.

Diagnosed and repaired my 99 Ranger 4x4 drive train. Jim and his crew are courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, and fully professional. They fixed a rear differential problem just before it failed catastrophically. Trans Tech also checked and performed requested maintenance on the transfer case before that became my next issue to contend with. I have my truck running like new again for a very reasonable cost. Excellent service all the way around. Trans Tech has a new lifetime customer.

Jim and his staff were very helpful in towing my truck and replacing the clutch. Work was perfect, the work was done on time. I would recommend Trans Tech as the only place in Colorado Springs to have your transmission work done if you want honest pricing, great service and a warranty call Jim. You will be glad you did after the work is done.

Where do I begin, I had my Jeep Grand Cherokee towed to this shop , I explained I am not concerned about time , he then explains it ll be a while but I ll get it done . About two weeks go by and he s asks for 1000$ deposit , I had no issues putting the money down so I did , 6 months goes by and he tells me he can t find a engine or a rebuild kit for it. I have no problem with this but when I asked for my deposit back he goes well the 500$ is for labor for when we pulled the motor I then explain I put 1000$ to which he then says oh it must ve been heavier labor . I sent my wife down there to ask for an itemized receipt (I was at work) . He then denies my wife to whom he s been keeping in touch with , the itemized receipt. Every time I go down there (every 2-3 months) I get attitude like I m not supposed to have updates. I proceed to try and have it towed home , to which they gave me a specific day and time so I have the tow truck show up at 1 the shop explains it s not dug out yet so I sent another tow truck that had to wait another 2 hours! When Jim finally pulls the jeep out he snatches the jump box and walks away with the window down knowing we wouldn t be able to roll it back up because of the dead battery. When it finally arrives home realize i have a dash camera missing . Now I m out 1000$ and still have a broken vehicle!! Don t trust these guys with your vehicles there is plenty of other reputable shops.Service: Engine repair

Very helpful staff, they were willing to work with my warranty co, then let me pay the difference to get my transmission rebuilt correctly and installed a big trans cooler for me as well. Very happy with service and glad to have 3 yr warranty so they stand behind the work they do. Also appreciate that i get to talk to the owner who does the work. I would recommend them to my friends and family
