Always enjoy dealing with Paul. I run an automotive repair shop (Peak Auto Service) but we do not have the time or the specialty equipment to rebuild differentials and Paul has helped us out several times.. not only with complete rebuilds, but sometimes parts necessary when we do venture in and fix it them our own. Very fair prices.. very friendly.. very knowledgeable. I highly recommend him. A+

The knowledge Paul has is unmatched, an honest mechanic that helped my family get back on the road for the holidays. He's not in it for the money but it doesn't hurt to pay for such an immense knowledge and compassion for the fellow man. Please do not confuse him for the other differential shop a few blocks from him. He has found a friend in us and we would love to support him in anyway possible, please do not be afraid to give him a call and support what he loves to do for a living.

He said, I can drive your car and tell you what s wrong by the sound . I didn t believe it to happen that easy. Boy was I WRONG! He knew exactly what was wrong, fixed it at a decent price, was very polite and I am in awe that my sons car does not sound like a helicopter anymore. I am grateful to find this shop, grateful it was available immediately and grateful my son was safe!! His car was very dangerous and I didn t realize how unsafe it was. Saving this number and he will take care of all our cars in the future!!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection

I have a 07 ford explorer sport trac that Aspen auto and Christian brother mis diagnosed. Christian brother stated full internal build on transfer cases 1500 estimate. I decided to have transfer cases pulled and rebuilt like they said it needed. Transmission clinic stated the transfer case was in perfect working order but still cost me 350.00 for the diagnostic. They said take it to the best man in the business and that Paul at Differential Man had it diagnosed in less then 15 min. My car is up and running perfectly so thank you Paul! I'm not done with Christian brother!

Excellent work on my 1 ton Ram. Smooth gears. I have towed my 38 foot toy hauler over 2000 miles with absolutely no issues. The work has been great. Can t say enough about his integrity and honesty. He is very reasonable and a gentleman. I had a very small leak and he ended up tearing apart my front end twice until he tracked it down. Most shops would have never done that to determine a factory s eal was bad. I wouldn t go elsewhere if you really care about your vehicle and want peace of mind. I ve talked to the other shops. This is the guy you want!

Recommended for driveline issues. Paul, Thank you for making the truck run again! Thank you also for handling things at a very good price -- about half the quote from 2 other shops. You obviously know your stuff, and it didn't take very long. It's been a year now, and the truck is running great. No more diff noise, and no more slipping. I really appreciate the service.

This was a wonderful experience. My wife and I have been traveling the country and needed a quick oil change in rear differential because we got it fixed somewhere else after 1,000 miles we needed to get it cleaned out.. wow Paul and his guys got me in on the day i called and really took care of is. They even painted the differential cap. I wish I would have went there in the first place. They are not going to drain your wallet and will do amazing work I highly recommend paul. Thank you so much I even called him up a few days later while back on the road and ask a question about something and he gave me great information about the issue.. blessings Paul

When looking for a repair shop I am always hopeful to find someone that is honest, thorough, skilled, affordable, timely and committed to excellence. Paul, the Differential Man, is just that guy! Not only did Paul rebuild my front differential, he replaced two wheel bearings. All of this was done with my best in mind, for a more-than-fair price. I am so glad I found this shop and can't recommend it enough if you are having differential issues.

I had bearings put in my 2003 Dodge Durango rear at a local garage in PA and the mechanic adjusted the Pinion Gear the rear came back with a worse noise. I brought it back to him a few times to correct the problem but could not fix it because there was a new wear pattern set in the Ring and Pinion. The mechanic ended getting a rear from the Junk Yard and installed it. Before he installed it I asked him to open it and inspect it to make sure it was okay and had new oil. I wanted to make sure it was good before I drove to Colorado. He said that the junk yard does open it up and that they give a 6 month warranty. I drove for a month and the SUV seemed fine. When I started to drive to CO about 900 miles into my trip the rear started making a whining noise. I knew that a rear bearing went bad. I made it out to Dillon CO and was out there for 2 months. I did drive my SUV knowing that it would not seize up on me but that noise was bothering me bad. I called a bunch of local garages and a couple said they would send it to Denver to get fixed or that they don t mess with that type of work. I did my research and found Paul The Differential Man. I spoke to Paul and he asked me some questions and I told him I think it is just the bearing and he quoted me a price over the phone assuming that was the problem. A month later when I was to go back to PA I set the appointment with Paul. He opened the rear and took out the ring pinion gear and inspected everything and took PIC of it and text them to me. He said the Ring and Pinion looked good. He replaced all the bearings, new oil and he suggested to change my transfer case oil which looked burnt. I told him to go ahead and do that. The job was finished by the end of the day. This was done on April 1st and it is May 14th and no complaints all. Paul was awesome he did a great job and great pricing. I definitely recommend him to work on your vehicle.Paul L.Ambler, PA

Steve the owner was very professional and took great care in doing the gears in both my axles. I have a 2012 3500 Ram lifted 4.5" with 37" tires. I had 3.73 gears stock, we decided to go with 4.56 gears. Steve is super knowledgeable, works fast and kept me updated as the work progressed. I'm extremely satisfied.

Called Paul and asked for a quote to do a gear change on a 2021 Toyota Tacoma. he told me "text me the information and I will have you a quote in 2 days". 4 days goes by and I text him, his response, " I just got back from Texas, let me get the shop going and I will get you quote". 3 days go by and I only get a response after I tell him I will leave the same review as the other guy he "blew off". His response to that was "I was sick yesterday and could not work on your quote and it will be 2 1/2 weeks until I can. What a joke ! He talks a great game on the phone, but ZERO execution !!!

Experienced, honest and affordable. Paul at the Differential man expertly installed a new Ford Racing 4.10 gear set in my 06 mustang gt, got it done quick and came in 50 bucks under his initial quote. No complaints at all I recommend The Differential Man to all my friends.

Great shop! If you're looking for a honest mechanic, I would suggest Paul. He walked me through what I needed, texted me pictures of what he's working on and completed the service within my budget. I cannot say enough good things about the Differential Man's shop.

Do not use this repair shop! I brought in my 99 Ford Expedition 1 1/2 years ago with a terrible knocking. Dropped off for diagnosis, was told needed both front and rear differential for $3000. Took over 10 days. Had both rebuilt and paid the $3000. Picked up vehicle and by the time I got down the block had same knock. Brought back and was told oops that s the transfer case. Had to argue with owner for couple days he wanted me to pay to put in Transfer case. He finally agreed to eat the cost but wanted to put in one from junk yard. I was worried I d get some junk transfer case but he had me over a barrel since I had to get it fixed. I reluctantly agreed, I rarely drive this vehicle, I ve put 5000 miles on it since repair. Guess what- transfer case now blown. So I paid 3000 for 2 new differentials I didn t need and now a broken transfer case! Back to where I started but now out $3000. DO NOT GO HERE!Adding edit. Forgot to put in the part where after I got vehicle back for second time the 4x4 warning light was flashing. Called and was told it was just since that had disconnected everything to replace transfer case, but they needed one of thier employees to bring in a special code reader to clear. I then proceeded to call several times and get the run around for the next 2 months. Finally gave up, still flashing to this day.Response to owner. It was around Oct/Nov 2016. You were out for an illness that week. I dealt with female at front and your mechanics. Only talked with you by phone. I will be in touch in the next week or two.

Excellent Service!! Very easy to work with and quality work done. Great guys to work with and when the work was done, it was several hundred dollars UNDER the estimate. How honest is that. I highly recommend using these guys for any rear end issue!!***

Went to Nissan for a differential replacement. They were charging $1,800 for the job. This man charged me half and did a terrific job. Kept me updated and sent me pictures through out the process. Highly recommended!

I say ditto to the previous comment. Paul installed a Detroit Truetrac, plus a Yukon ring and pinion in my 2009 Silverado. Great honest guy to talk to and very knowledgeable. I got to see the gear wipe and carrier travel before button up. Travel in the carrier was solid and the gear wipe was perfect. He set it a tad on the competition side :) He cleaned every disasembled part down to the axles themselves.Highly recommended and much cheaper than any other shop in town that is just looking to take every dime they can squeeze out of you.Excellent job and other shops should learn from this guy

It s been a few weeks since I brought my FJ Cruiser by to have its rear diff repaired. The owner was eminently experienced and diagnosed the problem right away and saved me no small amount of money for the service he provided. What s more, he stood by his work. Can t recommend this business more highly.

I am a three year mechanic for a municipality that worked on everything. I am a do it yourself guy all the way. Rear end went out on my 3500, and i had just enough tools to get me in trouble. Went to another shop first, to get bearings pressed, guy didn't want to touch it unless he could rebuild everything for $600+. Went back home and dug my hole a little deeper. Finally broke down and said im going to take it to THIS shop and pay him whatever it takes to press everything, set all my torques, and get it ready so i could just bolt it back in. I pulled up as he was working on something asked if he could do it, figuring it would be a few days. He stopped what he was doing, pressed everything, set the torque for me, and wouldn't take my money. This is a good, trustworthy, old school gear turner, and the only guy i will ever let touch my rear ends again. I'm sure he doesn't make a habit out of working for free, but i can promise you, you wont find better hands for your money. He told me as i was leaving, "this aint most shops", and my reply is what i am telling you, "it damn sure aint".

My 2004 Corvette Z06 started making noise in the rear of the car. I thought it was either a bearing or the trans axel. With in 5 minutes of a test drive he knew it was the trans axel. I left the car with him and he sent me pictures of the progress and what was wrong. The price was more than fair and i know the dealer would charge at least twice what i paid. I highly recommend Paul The Differential Man.

Avoid this shop, you will regret doing business with them. My truck is even worse than when I dropped it off and he refuses to warranty his work. He refuses to answer my call but text messages me profanity saying f your truck, f your attorney and f you. Law suit in the works.

Great quality, fair price, went above and beyond to make sure everything was done properly and taken care of. Watch him set up a differential four times just to make sure the tooth pattern was just right.
