Mike is the most honest, respectful, and kind owner I ve ever met. Another shop quoted me $1500 to do a job that didn t even need to be done on my car. When mike looked at it, he realized that that was not the real issue and he was able to fix it in a timely manner while still keeping it within my budget. I cannot recommend him enough! I will only be bringing my car here from now on. This is the best auto shop:)

Austin is great. I can't stress it enough, This shop will take care of you and you wont have to worry about being taken advantage of. You can tell they take pride in their work and honesty goes so far. Would definitely recommend.

I have had my fair share of problems with auto shops until I started going to mikes. He is honest doesn t take advantage of the fact I don t know cars well. He s always been nice to me and my family. His prices are always fair, especially since he does amazing work. If your looking for a fair, honest mechanic I HIGHLY recommend Mikes!Especially if you re a female like me who has been taken advantage of by other mechanics.

Mike's Japanese & domestic is the best auto repair shop in Colorado Springs! No other shop offers the skills, experience and honesty Mike's offers, from a simple oil change to an entire engine rebuild. They service my entire family's vehicles & a few of my friend's vehicles as well! Thank you Mike & Austin for the amazing service, always!

Mike and his team provide consistently excellent customer and vehicle service. He is reliable, professional, and pleasant to work with. I lived 50 minutes from his shop, but it was always worthwhile to make that journey for the high service quality and reasonable prices.Mike is honest and forthcoming about vehicle condition, maintenance, repairs, etc., and clearly communicates the crucial details in a way that's easy to understand whatever your proficiency in auto repair may be. Dropped the car off for diagnosis. Thermostat would fluctuate between cold and the appropriate halfway point. Local dealership said nothing was wrong, but did not explain the reason for this behavior. It turns out that there are two different temperature sensors which causes the fluctuation. This problem will be corrected in newer models. Thank you, Mike for explaining the reason for this issue and for NOT CHARGING ME ONE PENNY!

Mike and Austin are such a dynamic duo We have trusted them for years now with all of our vehicles and give us honest service. I never have to worry when we drop off our cars. When it comes to our racing vehicles to our daily drivers the know exactly how to handle any situation we throw at them!

I called mike's when the previous shop tried to upsell me an engine on my 2016 Subaru WRX. As a former mechanic I was able to at least know that the engine wasn't bad and after talking to Austin he was on the same page as me. After taking my car to multiple shops all trying to upsell a 21 year old that they think has no clue what's going on with cars, and not even coming close to labeling the actual issue, I contacted mikes and talked to Austin. He was extremely professional and kind and didn't make it seem like he was trying to rush me off the phone like some shops. he got every single detail about the car and took it out of my hands. he had it for three days and found the issue and fixed the issue when it wasn't an easy job. He pulled the transition and put it back in and fixed the issue within three days when other shops had the car for weeks. I recommend mikes shop more than any shop in Colorado. this will be the only shop to touch my car from now on. thanks Austin.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have a 2017 Subaru WRX, the AC was not working and I had a check engine light on. I have always had trouble scheduling and having work done by the Subaru dealer here in town.I called these guys and got scheduled very easily. they were very polite and listened to all of my concerns. They repaired the car and I think the pricing was very fair. I plan on using them for my fleet vehicles, I would highly recommend them.

Austin at Mike s Japanese & Domestic Auto is world-class. Trust me - Austin and the team here will eliminate any stigma you might have around going to a mechanic. He was so respectful, honest, and kind. He kept my wife and I apprised of what his findings were with our engine as he was working on it, called us to talk through what was going on, how much it would be, and got our sign-off every step of the way. Austin even took care of a small annoying issue I d been having with my windshield washer fluid for years - he knew exactly what the problem was when I mentioned it and just jumped right in and took care of it. Austin even stayed late to make sure I was able to pick up my car when we got stuck in traffic on the way there. I ve never worked with a more honest mechanic and staff in my life. I will not be going anywhere else for auto repair from now on - I m so thankful I was recommended this shop by some friends and the other reviews. Before I end the review, I ve got to mention that the price I was charged for the services and repairs was significantly less than I was expecting. I truthfully don t know what things should cost, but I was expecting to pay a lot more for how big of a problem my car was having. When Austin quoted me the price I felt like I was taking advantage of him or something. I ve never had a better auto-repair experience; nothing even comes close. Extremely great place to take your car. Both Mike and Austin are very good people that run a great mechanic shop. I have a 2003 Subaru WRX and I never knew where I could take it until I found this place. Excellent and honest mechanics. Mike diagnosed and replaced a wheel bearing on my Subaru and had me out the door in less than 2.5hrs, which I appreciated as I was on a time crunch to get to work. Also removed a screw from my tire and investigated a rogue knock sensor code during that time. Mike is the real deal; straightforward, easy to talk to and really knows his stuff. Well worth the 2 week wait for an appointment, and a fair price for the repair. Will be back for any future work I need done!

Mike and Austin have immense integrity which, apparently, is difficult to find these days. They took care of my 1998 Camaro from 2004 until I traded it in in 2013 for my 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe which they currently maintain for me. They have both treated me and my vehicles with the utmost respect, professionalism and courtesy. They go above and beyond and do it with class, superior knowledge and expertise. I BELIEVE I GOT TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF! Get two or three opinions before you let a mechanic start charging you. Van was overheating and heater wasn t working. I had a new thermostat and water pump put in just last year and told this mechanic. They said it s the thermostat $320 labor I bought Toyota parts. Didn t work so they said needs a new radiator $650. Didn t work said blown head gasket but they don t do that. After about $1000 spent and they don t do what the problem is. Fishy? Nice talkers at the front desk though.

They took amazing care of me. I ve been jerked around by two other repair shops in town, spent over $2,000 trying to fix a problem. As someone who is very inexperienced with automobiles and getting repairs AND is new to Co Springs, I was anxious about finding a place that felt trustworthy and affordable when I discovered I had a radiator leak. After making several calls and getting many quotes, Mike's Japanese had the lowest at about 70% price of the other places I called. They also were able to get me in right away (awesome for my busy schedule). They did their own testing to ensure the replacement was necessary (done in 30 min) and they had the radiator replaced and car back to me within the same day. They also gave me some other very helpful car advice, and came across absolutely professional, friendly, and honest throughout the whole experience.

Over the years, I have brought in a couple of different vehicles for repairs. Mike s Auto was able to diagnosis the problem and correct it for a reasonable price. So, when I had a problem with my car dripping oil after using one of those quickie oil change places, and it continued to drip, even after I took it back to them I knew I needed to take my car to the expert. Mike was able to work me into his schedule, and check it out. Luckily it was not serious, but most important, I can go on my road trip tomorrow with peace of mind. Mike is the most honest, trustworthy mechanic I have ever met. Thanks Mike!

Mike's Japanese and Domestic Auto Repair is the place to take your car to be fixed in the Springs. They were extremely understanding of my schedule and took great care of my car and me while I was there. The prices were great and Mike and his partner were very friendly and kind. My car was fixed up in one day, and I have been trying to get it fixed for ages. They were very accommodating and I highly recommend you take your car here if you need any auto repairs for a job well done. Mike and Austin are amazing guys to deal with. Very very patient and extremely knowledgeable. I have been chasing electrical issues with my vehicle for quite some time, and have even had other shops look at it, with no luck. These guys not only found the issue and fixed it, but they also made it happen a lot sooner than planned. If you need any work done I highly recommend giving this shop an opportunity to take great care of you and your vehicles. Been coming here for awhile and I really, really liked this place so I am disappointed to have to leave this review.Was having an issue where my tire kept going flat and I went to South CO tires and kept TELLING them it wasn't the tires it was something else making them go flat within a day of buying them but South CO kept forcing tires down my throat until I was ripped off for $200 worth of tires.Left a horrible review for South CO after what they put me through and made an appointment here at Mike's because I was confident they would set me right.I was told they would test the tire bead to see if it was leaking and if that wasn't the case then they would check the rim. Having a leaky tire bead is a cheap fix so that's what I was hoping for. Upon dropping off my rim I was called the next day and told there was no crack in the rim and the tire bead was tested and it was not leaking so they were going to replace it all just to see.When I went to pick up, I caught them in a lie, realizing with the given circumstances there was no way my tire bead could have been tested. They admitted that the tire bead was never tested and I am very upset that I paid $250 for a new rim when it may (and likely was because my old rim was not cracked or damaged) be as simple as a leaky bead that costs $20 to fix :/This is my long time car place and I have always liked Austin so I am sad to say I will have to find a new place to take my car after what happened today. I paid them because I felt bad for Austin because it looked like he was getting in trouble but I wish I wouldn't have because now I am out 250.Going to try Rex's Auto because when I called them the first thing they said was they would test the bead before doing anything else.

Mike and his Son have earned all the 5 stars you see in the reviews! They know how to treat customers, very professional and do what they say they'll do to fix your vehicle. I am new to this part of town and feel blessed to have found them to fix my car, at a very difficult time in my life. I had an oil leak and a power steering leak. They replaced gaskets and lines for both and now I feel safe driving it. Thank you, Mike!

I almost didn t want to leave a review because I want to keep this place all to myself! But truly these guys are fantastic, they are professional, kind and respectful which feels rare to find these days. The prices are reasonable and Mike and Austin are respectful of your time/schedule. I ve only been here twice but this is the only place my fianc� and I will take our Subarus!
