Took a head in to get machined had a quick turnaround, back within a week! Kept me up to date on the progress and had an awesome experience. I have used this shop twice now and despite other reviews my experience was awesome. Not sure if other people just don t know how long machine shop task takes or what all is involved. Machining takes time, good machining takes longer. That being said the shop did an awesome job and even showed me video of the head being cut. Will definitely use this shop again!

Came in to get my 7m rebuilt and upgraded for my 1986 supra, and these guys did a fantastic job. I'm still waiting to install the engine as im rebuilding the long block, but everything looks perfect. Everything i asked for was done. let him cook. EDIT: i just got my engine in the car, and it is running perfect. Great quality work for a great price. Thank you, geddes, for bringing my supra back to life!

If zero stars was possible I'd put that. Sent an engine in May 2020 it's now March 2024. Kept getting the run around about being next to have their engine done. Then they eventually quit answering/calling back. They have thousands of dollars worth of engine parts from me and I still haven't gotten it back. Happened to be in the area and popped in. Locked doors no answer. Absolutely ridiculous. Don't waste your time or money being hopeful, go somewhere else

I have no clue why there are so many good reviews? I've ran into numerous people with the same exact experience.IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR ENGING BACK FOR 18-28 MONTHS, BRING IT HERE. He doesn't answer the phone, or barely when wants to. Pretty sure he screens the numbers. Got to the point that I had to keep driving there to get the status. And then a weird vibe that he doesn't like you checking in on your engine. To each their own, chose wisely. I'll be going to Denver from now on.

Geddes did an amazing job at rebuilding my Jeep Wrangler's 4.0 inline 6. Angelo has one top notch shop, professionalism at it's finest. Support your local engine builder!

Angelo was awesome, always kept me up to date. Will definitely use them again. Built my LS3 417 for boost. Engine tuns amazing and made great numbers. Angelo is the guy to go to if you want your engine done right.

I didn t show up to this shop expecting an unrealistic turn around date. Angelo is straight to the point. He and his team were able to help me put together a combo that would reach my goals without breaking the bank. Yes it took some time however, the money I would have paid for a pre assembled short block else where would have had no where the same parts list for example, Molnar crank, Cp pistons, and King bearings etc etc etc. This shop will get you the build list you deserve with your hard earned money. I have no complaints and i m excited to see how my Geddes built Ls preforms.Services: Engine repair, Motor building

I should have run when I saw customers engines stuffed in every corner of the shop even in front office. They had my tractor engine for 6 months and never even touched it, they did manage to stack other engines on top of it so maybe they just did no see it. Summer started and I had to end up buying a new tractor for my farm for now on I will be doing my own machine work bought a boring machine If you want something done just do it yourself people don't run businesses like they did in the old daysService: Motor building

Angelo and his team of experts did a quick turn around of two Nissan Xterra heads that I needed rebuilt. For being such a busy shop, the communication and pricing was very well reasonable. This is my second time using Geddes and it definitely won t be the last. Short Version: Avoid this place at all costs. Drive to Denver if you have to.Long Version: Avoid this place at all costs. Drive to Denver if you have to. They had my motor for over 8 months. They claimed it would be done in 6 weeks. By the end he was ignoring my calls and messages. I asked for a full price estimate before he started any work. It took like 5 months just for him to order my pistons. I asked twice for the estimate and he said he would get it to me. After 8 months I wanted my motor back so I messaged and said I was coming to the shop and he responded that he was almost done with it, after ignoring me for weeks and never sending the price estimate. Clearly he only did that so he could get my money. I didn't want him to do any work on it after leaving my messages unread for weeks. He never asked how much I wanted off the deck, never gave any break in advice, almost no details about what was done to the motor. Now I'm sitting here wondering if this short block was built to specs or if they threw it together in an afternoon just to get my money. I was planning on throwing 20 pounds of boost at it. After how erratic they acted, I have zero confidence in what they claim.Service: Motor building

Brought my subaru case halves there for firelock head gasket machining. Gave me a timeline, completed it as promised, great price, and even found a small imperfection, and fixed it when he could have just overlooked it and let it go. I needed the wrist pins fixed on my connecting rods, since I messed up the original wrist pin install. Geddes got the parts fast, setup my connecting rods and a fair price on top of that.Would recommend.

Angelo and the rest of the guys over at Geddes are the best in the Springs. They recently completed a 408 cubic inch iron black based LS engine for me and the care, detail, and skill that they put into it was obvious from the time I picked the engine up.From the first time I spoke with Angelo about my plans until pick up, he met with me personally to discuss the best options for my engine needs. Very rarely have I experienced this level of dedication to the customer. I often had questuons outside of business hours and was able to talk to Angelo over Facebook messenger to find the answers and solutions for my build.It is obvious Geddes has been providing quality work for a long time. I made multiple visits to the shop during my build. The shop is organized and clean, and their skill level and workmanship are top notch.Another aspect that I enjoyed was the pricing. You simply will not find the high quality of work Geddes offers at such a competitive price. Found out about Geddes through a group of mutual friends. I worked with Angelo and he did take the time to go through my current build and my future plans. Based of that we spec'd out my heads. Work is quality and the pricing was right for the work done. They are busy so it did take a bit longer than expected but I would recommend and will give him repeat business.Service: Motor building

I have a shop in Fountain, CO -- these guys have always been spot-on with their work. My customers expect me to do the job right, so I rest easy knowing it's in good hands. The rates are reasonable, the turnaround times are fantastic, and the service is great. I ask them questions during all hours of the day, expecting replies the next morning, but sometimes I get answers in the middle of the night. After breaking down my engine, I got stuck needing a GM valve spring compression tool that would have cost more than Angelo charged to do it for me. The great thing is once they had taken a look at the head, turned out more than just springs were needed and the crew at Geddes did a phenomenal job. The pricing is more than fair, and the shop is honest and straightforward.I would recommend them to anyone that is looking for great quality engine work, at a fair price, done by a knowledgeable and honest shop.Thanks to everyone at Geddes!

They have had 3 of my Engines for over 6 months, and 1 engine for over 2 years now. They don't answer their phone, they lock their door and just tell you they are working on your Engines, but never communicate the progress. I have been more than patient, but I am done with this facility. There are several other shops that have a great turn around time and communicate with me. I recommend no one take their Engines to this facility, unless they have no problem waiting over 6 months for their engine to be done. Worst experience ever!!!Service: Engine repair

Dropped off a 4 cylinder engine to get machine work and assembled over a year ago, absolutely no communication, never answers his phone or voicemails, and when he did answer he would just give me the runaround and say it was next in line. He also keeps his door locked during business hours so when I finally decided to go get my stuff back I had to aggressively beat on his garage door just to get him to come out. Super frustrating and a huge waste of time. Avoid this place at all costs.Service: Motor building

Great experience. I did not know who to trust in town with machining. I asked the guys at Patterson Diesel who they recommended and it was Geddes. I just picked up my heads today and feel the price was well worth the quality. There was a little wait for them, but worth it. I was given a discount for the wait. I feel everything was very fair. He remembered all the little details of the head work performed which tells me he cares about what he does. I will bring them more business and pass the good word.

Went to Geddes last week and had some machine work done on a flywheel quick at a competitive price. Went back to Geddes a second time to get a motor machined shortly after but unfortunately it was a completely different experience The guy in there doesn t communicate well and kept my motor (bottom end) hostage for four months in the exact same place where I left it Finally walked in, grabbed it to never return

Working with Geddes has been a great experience! They were easy to work with and accomplished all the goals I had spoken to them about. They did it within my budget and went above and beyond on their end. Great attention to detail that I had not seen in a lot of other shops. I will definitely be bringing my Ls7 back to them for more upgrades when the time comes! Thank you Angelo and Sheldon.

Brought a bare block from a 4 cyl Audi for them to bore, hone, and deck. I had to pester them for over 6 months to get on it and complete it. Unanswered/unreturned phone calls, nobody there or willing to answer door during business hours, yadda yadda. No it wasn t ideal, but at the end of the day I did get what I wanted at a fair price. Even sourced some really nice pistons for me and charged a fair price for those as well. Checked the work myself and it seemed precise and well within desired tolerance. Waited to write this review until I had a few hundred miles on the engine. So far so good, everything is running great. Would I use them again? If I m not in a rush, sure. They do seem to understand what they re doing, and the work leaves nothing to be desired. The inconvenience of long turnaround time and lack of communication was mildly irritating, but for what it s worth I m glad I went to Geddes for this build.Service: Motor building

I had Geddes machine a hydraulic release bearing Piston for me and they did a fantastic job. I expected to have to wait a few days but they had it finished in just a few hours and were very inexpensive as well. In addition to the great work, the guys at Geddes were very friendly and easy to talk to, they even gave my 5 year old daughter and bunch of racing stickers lol!I hands down will be using them when I have my next engine built. I could not have asked for a better experience.
