I came to do exhaust work on my car, and the lift made it so much easier than doing it on the ground.This is a great place! I m so happy to have found a shop like this, not only the lifts and the tools, but the guys who run it are always at the ready to help! I had them weld an oxygen sensor fitting onto my new flex pipe in the exact position and angle that it was needed in. I will be back again!

I wanted to do a rear differential and transmission fluid change on my car myself. After finding this garage and seeing that they offer lift rentals for diy, I figured I'd give it a go. Scheduling an appointment was super easy. When I showed up, they guided me onto the lift and raised it up for me. This was my first time ever working on my car and it's always been a dream of mine. Everyone at the garage was extremely kind in helping me get the tools that I needed from around the garage, especially the ones that were hiding. They have a very large amount of tools here at your disposal.I highly recommend this garage, it was really nice to be with friendly people and no one was ever condescending to me even with my clear inexperience. If you want to do some work on your car, watch a ton of YouTube videos like I did and then take the leap and get yourself an appointment with a lift here. You'll figure out how to get it done and having the lift is so much nicer than laying on the ground, especially if you're just figuring it out.Thank you for everyone's help at this garage! Found this business in Colorado Springs called Gearhead Garage on the web after being unable to find a local DIY (Do It Yourself) automotive garage in the Denver area where I live. Called them on Monday morning 12/18/23 to ensure they were going to be open normal business hours for the holiday week of 12/18/23 12/22/23 and a gentleman named Danny assured me that they would. So, on Friday morning 12/22/23 I drove down from north Denver to Colorado Springs around eighty miles only to find the business was closed when I got there, so I left a message on their business voice mail asking Danny or someone else to call me so I could reschedule a day and time to come down again. After a week and no response from anyone at Gearhead Garage, I tried calling them again on Thursday morning 12/28/23 during normal business hours and no one answered the phone, so I left another voice mail. After another week of no response from Gearhead Garage, I decided to email them as a last resort on Friday 01/05/24, but once again no one followed up on my email or ever reached out to me via phone. Be advised, if you plan to use this business try to make sure it is still open, otherwise, you might end up wasting your time and efforts like I did in the end.

A coworker recommended this shop to me and I will recommended them to everyone. Spoke with Lisa and from our initial conversation, she treated me like family. They did outstanding work on my jeep which is always a relief. Prices left me speechless compared to other shops. Spoke with her crew about future plans and they also took care of me like family and explained my best routes for maintenance. I found my shop!

Thanks for one of the best experiences I've had with any business. The staff was incredibly helpful, and knowledgeable. I didn't even know this place existed, but I'm sure glad it's does. The time flew by, and I left feeling like I had accomplished the task. I could go on and on about how awesome this place is, but you should see for yourself. My daughter and I rented a lift bay here to work on her car. Tools are furnished. The staff at this place is unbelievable. So friendly and helpful. We came to replace rear shocks and discovered the brake pads needed to be replaced front and rear. They ordered the brake parts, had them delivered, and put them in our hands. Just a good experience all the way around and very affordable.

I freaking love this garage, and I love this staff! Wes and Danny were on the money with their repairs and they were on their game with my car to a T! And Lisa the owner is just the best! I love her approach to things, to business and just has a dynamite, super sweet personality! They're my new permanent caretakers of my ride and would recommend anybody to them anytime!

This place is a 5 star establishment. They have a professional bay with all the tools you could ever need. All of their mechanics are friendly and are very experienced. They were always willing to help out if you was stuck. I used to go to DIY in Denver but needed an alternative after they closed. A bit of a trip but worth it when working on your own vehicle and knowing the job is done right is important to you.I only needed a quick oil change but the shop seemed well equipped to handle jobs big and small. My drive shaft had a bad carrier bearing that was grinding constantly under my car. I was quoted $1300-$1600 to fix it. I bought the part for $350-$400, then used Gearhead Garage's service to rent a lift and get the job done. I would highly recommend this place if you have something to fix or work on, but need to save money and can do it yourself. Techs are very willing to help and know what they are doing. They have plenty of socket wrench sets you can use as well as impact drills for those tough bolts you can't get off! This place is sooooooo amazing. I wish I could give them 100 stars. If you need fast quality (not quantity) service, Gearhead is the place to go! Couldn t recommend more. I rented a bay for 5 hrs to install a leveling kit and ran into a couple bumps along the process. It was a great learning experience and the guys working Wes, Zach and Nickie were incredibly helpful when I needed it. They re all pretty chill and know exactly what they re talking about when it comes to vehicles. I drove 1.5hrs from Denver to come to this shop and I ll do it again when I need to have mechanics look at my truck.

I took my vehicle here and requested them to take a look at see if the vehicle was worth fixing or not. I was told it would be a simple fix and easily repair the vehicle. One whole month later I get the vehicle and I barely make it home safely. It died multiple times and has more lights on than when I started. Please avoid this place especially if you are a woman. Wonderful place run by wonderful people. I stopped in for a mid road trip oil change on my bike, they were extremely accommodating and made me a custom (read: cut up a bucket with a sawzall) oil drain pan to fit under my bike and lent me a few other small miscellaneous items I needed.

Convenient place if you don t have a shop! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They can also bail you out if you start a project and realize you have no clue what you are doing I was so relieved when I found this place and knew I wasn t going to have to work on my project outside in the cold!

I can't say enough good things about this place. I took my truck in for my first visit to this shop to utilize one of their DIY bays for a quick transmission mount replacement. The first thing I noticed was how CLEAN it was (well, at least it was until a little snow melted off my truck and I left puddles of water on each side of it. Sorry, guys!). You can tell these people take great pride in this shop. Their shop also has just about every tool you could ever need along with access to pneumatic impact wrenches, jacks, transmission lifts, etc.Not only is the shop awesome, but the people here are some of the nicest folks I've encountered in the Springs. From the time I called to the second I walked out the door, everyone involved was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely kind. Lisa is a great person that gives off the vibe that she just wants to take care of you. Danny was the technician I worked with. This was a cool dude that was efficient and knew what he was talking about. Big thanks to you both!Overall a six star experience. If you like to work on your own vehicle, this place is everything you need and more. I'll be recommending this shop to my friends, and I'll definitely be back when the time arises.

Came to get 4 tires changed. From the start, they didn't seem too happy because they were busy even though i had an appointment. Left with scratches on my rims from the tire machine. Left with lug nuts on so tight, that I couldn't remove them when I needed to change my brakes. Had to borrow a impact from a buddy and even then, they barely came off(5 studs were stripped). Had to replace studs and nuts. Just thinking to my self, what if I got a flat and didn't happen to have a impact gun? Wouldn't recommend them or go there again, if you do, ask them to torque to spec so you don't have the same issues as me.Service: Auto tire replacement

Very pleased. Ran into some issues with my ABS system, and check engine light and they fixed it in a fast and precise manner and at a great cost. Loved the environment and people working there. Very friendly, driven and motivated people. Definitely worth checking them out. I've been going there for almost 3 years never had a problem. If I was to they would help me and guide me in the way I should go. Thanks Gearhead Garage! Highly recommended.

I had never worked on a car before for a few reasons. First, I m nervous to get under a car that s jacked up. Second, I live in an apartment, so I didn t have an actual place to work on a car. Third, I don t own the most complete toolset. Gearhead Garage took care of all these problems by raising my car up on a vehicle lift so I could safely and easily work on it unimpeded, furnishing a complete toolset to make up where my toolset came up short, and disposing of my old motor oil that I drained out.

I used this shops rental bays to change oil, add rear struts to my subaru outback. They have tools you can use, and the best part is they let you get on with your work. Next best thing to having a shop with a lift.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance
