Highly recommend this company! My limo company Colorado Springs Limousine Service was in a pickle. We were booked every day in December except for one day. We had a oil leak that was smoking off the exhaust manifold! Floyd and his crew over at First Rate auto got the job done real quick. Appreciate it. I will definitely use them again!

I had high hopes of First Rate Auto Solutions being able to give me a quality job on a small door panel replacement job I needed done. I trusted Brad, the owner with my truck, since we had prior business relations, and he asked to give me a bid. Huge mistake!! Brad misquoted the project price and timeline, which ended up costing me more time and money. And to top it off, I'm left with a truck that has a door where the paint doesn't match, and bubbles and chips are left in it. The biggest slap in the face after trying to do good business with Brad is he had the nerve to offer to fix my truck on my own time and dime and get this...put $5.00 in my gas tank for the extra multiple trips to his shop. NOT COOL BRAD. I would never trust my truck with First Rate Auto Solutions ever again!

Heard about first rate auto solutions from a friend so I decided to give them a shot. Took my car in for some normal maintenance, and diagnostic stuff. Was greeted by floyd at the front counter, and even the owner said hello while working on another vehicle. Pricing was fair and service was fast! Definitely got a great vibe from the staff and have found my new auto needs spot! Thank you to Brad, Floyd and team for taking car of my vehicle and being honest and trust worthy!!!

Floyd was amazing. I was on my way from the springs to Wyoming for a install for a new restaurant. On my way out of the springs my car started saying my engine was over heating. I stopped by the closet place which was First Rate Auto. Floyd saw my urgency and came out found the problem and fixed it with 10 min getting me back on the road, which allowed me to get to the install in time for the restaurants grand opening. While visiting family out of town my vehicle came into some mechanical trouble. My aunt recommended that I give her long time and trusted mechanic a call.to help me with this very stressful situation. I called Floyd at First Rate Auto Solutions and I can t thank him enough and technician Joe for all of their hard work in helping me to get back on the road. They were able to help me get my vehicle fixed and ready to travel with little notice. They understood the circumstance I was in and their customer service was unbelievable. Floyd went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of in a speedy amount of time and that the vehicle was safe for me to travel. You don t find that kind of top notch customer service these days. He was great about keeping me informed of the diagnosis and cost and saw that the work was completed and done correctly. Technician Joe went above and beyond helping to get me back on the road. I would absolutely recommend Floyd at First Rate Auto Solutions and wished I lived closer to have them complete all my service needs. Brad and Floyd are quite the Duo! I have been taking all my vehicles to First Rate Auto for several years now and have always been treated fairly. The repair service is second to none and never have I been pushed to do something on a vehicle that is not necessary. I am 45 minutes away from the shop, but always go out of my way to bring them my business because I trust and respect them - and that's hard to come by these days! If you are looking for a mechanic that you can count on and trust, these are your guys!

I have trusted many auto shops in the past and unfortunately I learned my lesson when I didn t call Floyd! I have known Floyd for over 20 years and I have always used him for everything from tires, to alignment, and even minor body damage. I have never been dissatisfied with any service I have received and have NEVER been over charged. I have worked in an auto shop and done the billing, I know that most places try to get ever penny out of you. Not at first rate auto! They make sure that you are satisfied with the work and the don t nickel and dime you! Honest, precise, and you always feel like family! These guys are amazing. Floyd and his crew go above and beyond, they are very fair with pricing, and do quality work. The first time I called it was a bit of an emergency. Every mechanic is always booked days or weeks out but they sensed the urgency of my situation and got me in right away. My daughter has been going to Floyd for auto service for a few years, and has always been very satisfied with the results. When I recently was in town visiting her, I needed major engine service (head gasket failure). She recommended that I go to First Rate Auto Solutions, where Floyd now works. They were able to repair the car in less than a week (and this is a major repair job); the price quoted (and charged when finished) was significantly less than the quotes I received from a chain repair shop, and from a franchised new car dealer of this brand. So far, the car has been running smooth and cool after the repair.Floyd is very professional and courteous, capably explains the problems and possible solutions, and seems to really care that his customers are very pleased with their service experience.I highly recommend Floyd, and First Rate Auto Solutions, for car service needs.

After receiving a ridiculously high quote for services I needed I reached out to the Facebook community for help. Being new to the area I don t know much about the people or places. Floyd reached out to me FAST! He diagnosed the problems, quoted me and called me later in the day with an even lower price than originally! Even after getting my car from them Floyd reached out again making sure everything was still going well with it ! And I even have a 24 month warranty on the work/parts! I highly recommend these guys! I wish more mechanics were like this. These guys are smart, honest and straight to the point. They fixed my van a few times, each time it was a tricky electrical issue. They didn t try to upsell me on stuff that wasn t necessary, their prices were very fare and they communicated with me every step of the way. I started using First Rate Auto Solutions a few weeks ago. I am very happy. Brad is very knowledgeable in many areas of the automotive industry. Which is what I need with my various vehicles ranging from 1970-2012. Store manager Floyd is an old friend and a great manager. They call me, have very reasonable prices. I'm glad to have found a good automotive shop.

Went to Floyd at First Rate after BMW quoted me $14000 for repairs but couldn t tell me what the specific problem was. Dropped my car off and Floyd let me know exactly what the problem was with the car and it only cost me $1555. They took the time to really look at my car and diagnose the real issue not just hook it up to a computer and spout off what it said. I am beyond pleased at the quality work and the diagnostic assistance from Floyd and First Rate. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone and will use them again for all of my vehicles in the future. Floyd and the team at First Rate pretty much saved my bacon. I called right before showing up one morning and was immediately checked in and was given a fair price and time assessment. I was told it would take until the end of the day. They finished in the early afternoon AND the price was lower than I was quoted. They were kind, professional, and on the level. So, so grateful I was referred to them!! I will definitely return - but hopefully not too soon ;)Service: General repairs & maintenance

Floyd was amazing! I live in NE trying to get my dad's car taken care of in CO. He was able to schedule his car in quick, provide towing at a reasonable price and was very affordable in pricing for the parts and labor. I would recommend anyone in the area to check out his services. =)

I had a rattle with my 2008 Nissan Versa. I took it to Floyd and Brad and they told me that the Idler arm was flapping causing the rattle. They replaced the Idler arm and I drove it home. Within a few hours / days, it started rattling again. I took it back swearing that it was now my tailpipe hitting against the frame. I live quite a way from their shop and so I lived with the rattle for a few months.When I took it back, thinking they would stop the tail pipe from hitting the frame. When I got to the shop, they said that the rattle was the Idler arm and replaced it under warranty. I took it back home and the next morning my wife was ready to kill me because it was rattling once again. I called Floyd and told him that I was going to be killed and that the rattle was back.Again, it took me awhile to take it back to the shop. Floyd called me and told me that he had it fixed. I went to the shop and Floyd threw the keys at me and told me to go check out the car. NICE! No noise, no rattle. I went back in to settle the bill with Floyd and asked him what was ratting? I was still convinced that it was the tailpipe. He told me, Bill we went back to the dealer and got the OEM part instead of going back to the parts store. Again, the repair was done under warranty - No Charge. WHAT? Are you serious Floyd? He was serious.. NICE!Today I called him again and after about 1 and 1/2 months, it is still quiet.Thank you Floyd and Brad I appreciate your honesty and integrity. I have been going to Floyd for about 18 years. I have multiple vehicles and when I bring my vehicles in to the shop I guarantee you that Floyd does not play around. He tells you what is wrong and how much it will take to fix it. You can trust what he says needs fixing, is all that needs fixing.I would recommend First Rate Auto Solutions to anyone looking for someone who will not gouge you but treat you with respect.Bill L.

Dealt with Brad the owner then Floyd, both were great. My truck is running beautiful for a 240 thousand mile vehicle. No qualms about taking her back if more issues come up. First rate is always very professional and friendly. They give you a full break down of issues and explain what is and is not needed to be done instead of just giving you a list of issues with your vehicle. Floyd and brad are great at what they do and I, personally, would not take my car anywhere else, not even for a basic oil change.

Floyd and Brad are the best you re going to get in the Springs. They are fair and friendly, I have been to a couple shops in the area but once I found them I haven t gone anywhere else.They don t nickel and dime you. What they say is what you get, and they are always honest about their work. My car is kind of a old pierce of junk, but they have kept it running for me so far. I won t be taking my cars anywhere else. I couldn t recommend them enough!

Brad and his team have worked on my vehicles for years. I recently received a quote from a BIG national tire dealer (on Fillmore Street around the corner from First Rate Auto) for over $900 in needed brake work. I took the vehicle to Brad for a second opinion. He saved me from replacing brakes that had 35% of life remaining. Integrity does matter! Very honest and reliable auto repair service. Man I cant even begin to explain how amazing these guys are. My girlfriend and I had to pull over multiple times because our car was overheating. We by the grace of god found these guys 2 minutes away from where we were. He was able to get us in right away and fixed the problem for an extremely reasonable and fair price. My man Floyd is a very respectful man and was very nice to us. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else.Service: General repairs & maintenance

That is a perfect name for what you get at this shop!Fair pricing, great service, fast repairs, and they LISTEN to you. Brad is an excellent mechanic. I have taken my car, my father's car, and my children's cars to him for numerous problems. Brad is very conscientious about the safety of anyone driving their vehicles. He explains all of the issues he finds to you in a way that you can understand. His employees are courteous and friendly.
