Ron is one of the most honest guys in the business. I had a diagnostic done he was completely up front with me, and gave me a ton of his professional advice that really helped me make the best decision with my vehicle. I would 100% recommend this shop, and they have my lifelong business. A sincere thank you to Ron and all of his assistance!

BWT was fantastic to work with. I have been back to them with two of my cars now and received quick, knowledgeable services both times. They took each situation and put the costs to me as a focus as I had asked. They helped me to make longer term plans and make me feel very comfortable that they will be giving me sound advice, and not just looking to sell me on something.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

Did incredible work fixing my 2013 Nissan Altima! All the staff are super nice and friendly and straight forward and honest with the amount of work they take on and how long incoming customers can expect to wait. I have had no problems since picking up my vehicle and it runs like brand new, which is a huge relief after I spent months messing with it and not making any progress. They really know their stuff and are patient and willing to teach you everything you need to know to keep an eye on things!Services: Transmission, Transmission repair

Hands down best transmission shop in Colorado. From the initial phone call to set up my appointment to get my Subaru diagnosed, and the prompt estimate within the same day. To the repairs and follow up afterwards. These guys are great all around.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Absolutely the worst experience! I unfortunately took my car there, asked upfront if I was going to be informed of ANY costs before they touched my car, they told me they would do so; however, they didn't.I talked to employees MULTIPLE times and was NEVER informed of any fees. As soon as I decided that I was not going to do any repairs with them since they gave me a very expensive quote, then they decided to inform me that I had to pay a fee to pick up my car. They pretty much kept my car HOSTAGE till I paid.Terrible customer service. Terrible tactics to get money from customers. To be clear: I WAS NEVER COMMUNICATED OF ANY FEES UPFRONT. Even though I asked about that.If there are fees to just LOOK at the car that MUST be communicated to the client UPFRONT.Awful experience. I hope you do your research before going there. Having transmission issues is stressful enough without having to deal with this type of "service."

This shop deserves ZERO star. DON'T GO HERE. After reading all the "good" reviews caused me to make a BIG terrible mistake by choosing this shop on June 19, 2023 . I took my car in to get transmission done and 3 days later after getting my car back July 14th, I noticed the transmission was leaking so I took the car back to get it fixed. July 24th, I went back to get the car, the guy at the shop pretty much trying to blame it on my transmission line but it actually was leaking from the transmission cooler line fitting that THEY put it in. He's telling me to "just keep an eye on it" WHAT? I trusted you to fix it. This is UNACCEPTABLE. If you can't do the job that I paid you $4000 to do, why did you sign up for it? I took it in to get it FIXED not have to keep an eye on it. This shop wasted my time, gas and money. It should be called Worst Western Transmission! I'm absolutely not happy with the outcome and how they dealt with this problem. I just wanted my car fixed no matter what cost and they are supposedly specialized in what my car needed but they obviously can't do that because my car has NEVER leak this badly prior to going here and I'm literary talking about pool of oil coming down all over the concrete. I'll be telling everyone that I come across about how bad this shop is. Super disappointing. Oh and the warranty is super adorable. By the time the "warranty" run out it probably will be because of me driving 120 miles to go back and forth to their shop because they couldn't fix it.Service: Transmission

I've owned and worked on my own vehicles almost exclusively, knowing my 4l60e needed some serious TLC that I just didn't have time to provide- I reached out with some serious apprehension because I don't let other people mess with my vehicles. That was put that to ease pretty quickly as they are knowledgeable and communicate clearly. They kept me informed every step of the way, didn't move forward with repairs until I green-lit the project, and it looks like they provide a pretty decent warranty for the price point, will know for certain after break-in mileage. Also the turnaround on my transmission rebuild was quick! Currently on my break-in miles, but so far so good.Services: Transmission, Transmission repair

Went to the Delaware location years ago and they were able to fix some issues at an amazing price! The other guys told me I would need a new transmission, but Best Western Transmission just did a flush and replaced the fluids and it was good as new. I recently went to the North location after my car lost power. I was hoping they could fix the issues again, but unfortunately it was not the news I wanted. They could have tried to take my money and fix it but advised me that it would be most likely be a waste of money. Definitely honest and fair. I ll use them again.Service: Transmission repair

I'll definitely be back if we need any additional work on a vehicle! Amazing service, fast, and honest. They put a new transmission and brakes in my vehicle, and worked with the warranty company to ensure the transmission work was covered. I would absolutely recommend them.

RON is the most unprofessional person you will ever deal with. I spent $2300 on rebuilding my transmission and it leaked everywhere after the job was done. Ron s response was that it was my fault for working on my car and he cussed me out for it. I had to tow my vehicle to a mechanic who had to drive down to Best Western to tell them that the transmission leaked all over his shop floor. Ron s response was that it might be motor oil. Please do yourself a favor and take it to someone who truly cares. RON will blame you!Service: Transmission

I live in South Carolina, but my son is working in Colorado Springs, CO. When his transmission died that changed his plans of when he was going to leave to come home. It can be pretty stressful especially for a son or daughter's vehicle and out of state.I researched best transmission shops in Colorado Springs. Also read Google reviews. This is a family-owned shop, years in business, with five star Google rating. I figured that was a good place to start. After one phone call I felt comfortable with them and did not even call around any other shops. I had confidence in them immediately. They diagnosed problem and gave me a realistic time frame to repair. The ordered part came in a little early and they got him on the road almost a week earlier than expected. They showed attention to detail, but customer communication was key. I was confident in them and they proved that feeling to be true. I would not hesitate to recommend Best Western Transmission to anyone.Summers Duffie, Columbia SCService: Transmission

Best Western Transmission was recommended to me because my mechanic shop could not figure out what the problem was concerning my 2013 F-150 ecoboost. BEFORE going to Best Western, my mechanic was chasing what they thought was an engine problem causing a shudder between 30-40 mph and then disappearing. I had the pickup in the shop on three separate occasions and I spent considerable money following my mechanics recommendations--which did not fix the problem! They pretty much threw up their hands at the problem. My mind went to a possible transmission issue and they recommended Best Western Transmission.I called Best Western and talked to Teresa, who works the front desk. She was VERY knowledgeable and polite and it was obvious that she wanted to help me resolve this problem. She arranged for me to come by the next day and scheduled a transmission technician ride along so that I could personally show them the problem. Their tech was very polite and asked a number of questions as he rode along and observed what I had been experiencing.I left the vehicle with Best Western and their Service Advisor, Ron, called me and told me that they had found the bolts around my transfer case loose, one missing and one broken off. They replaced the missing bolt, tightened the others and we agreed that one broken wasn't worth the cost that could occur to get it out and replaced. After doing this, this fixed my problem!I want to especially thank Ron for being so forthright and honest about the situation. It was obvious to me that he wasn't trying to sell a service or a repair that wasn't necessary. He was easy to talk to and I instantly knew I could trust his word and recommendation. The cost of the fix was extremely reasonable and I appreciate knowing that I was in good hands. This problem is not typical, or something most people would even think about (transfer case bolts being loose), and I commend the shop for being so diligent in finding this problem. I highly recommend Best Western Transmission for any transmission problem you may have--you will be in great hands and you can definitely trust them and count on them to do a great job! Thanks Ron!!Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

So far so good. Needed a new clutch and while they were at it, I got the transmission mount and differential carrier bearing replaced. The good:Turn around timePriceMilitary discountThe bad:My negative battery post was loose (easy fix)Vacuum lines incorrectly put back so my 4x4 didn't work (reoriented it correctly, it sits up top the manual transmission)So other than the things I had to fix which I'm sure if I brought it back, they would've easily fix these issues. However, I didn't really want to make the extra trip especially when I can fix it myself. Other than that, all is well and hopefully my clutch will last another 178,000 miles.Service: Transmission

Every time I bring my vehicle to Best Western Transmission they have done great work! I am always pleased with not only with their honesty but the quality of work they do is top notch. I take all of my vehicles here and refer family and friends to them as well! Before I found them I had six different mechanics try to diagnose my pickup truck. Several other mechanics guessed at the issue and had me do repairs that turned out to be unnecessary (or didn't fix the problem). Finally, I took my truck to Best Western to help me with a different issue. They fixed it fast and when I asked them to try and diagnose the mystery noise, they found it too! I always call for quotes from several repair shops, and I price what the parts would cost. Anytime I have checked Best Western's prices against other's, they are always fair and typically they are less expensive than other mechanics.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair

Fantastic and trustworthy place to take your vehicle. Took my truck in for an overall inspection since it was a new to me vehicle. They were thorough and fairly priced. I would trust them to work on my vehicle again if it ever needed it.

While driving cross country, I started having clutch pedal issues. I limped the car to Best Western North, and while the news wasn t good, they had the issue diagnosed in a very short time! I had to leave my car with them and continue on my journey across country, John assured me my car (which had valuables inside) would be safe and inside the building at night.I flew in to pick my car up and immediately drove 1500 miles without issue! I d like to thank John and the staff for doing a good job, being fair and accommodating the whole time!

Repaired my transmission for less than $500 knowing full well I was prepared to pay 3k to replace or rebuild it. Really appreciate it more than they could know. My now ex boyfriend stole my truck (which was my first vehicle) and trashed it (even put water in the gas tank so I couldn't leave him- what a tool) and I've been struggling to repair it for years and the new transmission issues were just another blow but they helped me so I am one step closer to having a decent vehicle again. Thank you! My truck is my freedom and being able to drive it again is great.

I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland brought it in because of my air conditioner was not working. They diagnose the problem very quickly and I was pleasantly surprised by the cost that they quoted to fix it. When it comes to where to take your vehicle these guys were honest & trustworthy, they have earned my business. Very professional in communications from start to finish. Special thanks to Rick for helping to complete a software upgrade that was also needed. Bobby WService: Air conditioning

I'm always VERY skeptical about mechanics I haven't worked with. I have expensive vehicles that, in the past, have resulted in quotes of a few hundred dollars to several thousand dollars for the same repair. Best Western Transmission came highly recommended, so I gave them a call. I spoke with Jesse (Manager) and we discussed a range of possible solutions. He was polite, knowledgeable, and quoted me a very reasonable price. He informed me they were very busy, but he'd be happy to perform the work for me. I dropped the car off, informed him I wasn't in a hurry, and asked him to keep me informed. Over the next two weeks, Jesse called on several occasions to update me on the status of my car as they worked on, diagnosed, and fixed the problem. The service Best Western Transmission provide for me was of the highest standard. The price was fair, and they did what they they promised.. fixed my vehicle! I absolutely would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family (and have already done so).

I had my transmission rebuilt about 4 years ago (if my memory serves) on my e4od for a 1992 F-150. So far the transmission does not seem to have lasted. While it still runs, the coast clutch appears to be fried through testing instructions provided by the Ford engineer that designed the transmission. I don't tow and so I've never had to use the OD cancel switch to engage the coast clutch, nor do I ever use the 1 and 2 position on the gear shifter to hydraulically activate the coast clutch, yet it seems to have burnt out regardless, which tells me the install was probably bad right at the beginning. I don't think this rebuild has even hit 50,000 miles yet under general highway use. The transmission also had some shifting issues prior to the rebuild, and while they did fix the 1-2 hard shift, the 2-3 was still very firm under certain circumstances. Potentially just the nature of the beast, but I don't think the accumulator body was changed, which I expected to be done when the transmission was rebuilt. Also a heavy vibration coming from the transmission area only when letting off the gas coasting in overdrive down the highway (65+ mph).I'm most likely on my way to my third complete rebuild in less than 8 years and I haven't even driven 100,000 miles on the truck since owning it. Best Western will probably do a good job with your transmission, but at least for the e4od, I question what components they used when they rebuilt the coast clutch (was it even rebuilt?). If that failed potentially so quickly or was never fixed, I wonder what else could go wrong soon or what Best Western may have missed. Its out of warranty at this point so I'm stuck searching for another rebuild or an aftermarket drop in. After experiencing two rebuilds, once with the another shop and Best Western, I've lost confidence that most transmission rebuilders are going to do a good job with quality parts.I might look into a Monster E4OD transmission and do the swap myself, even though I really don't have the tools to do it and I'd have to do it outside on the driveway to boot. I truly hope no one else has these types of problems, and maybe its just a curse that I can't get this truck to shift and work like it did from the factory. I love that truck so much, but I'm not made of money.Edit: I did go to another local shop for a rebuild. They found that the reverse sprag was damaged (in pieces). The coast clutch accumulator/spring assembly that applies line pressure(sorry, not that well versed in transmissions) was also missing, which explains why it never worked.Service: Transmission repair

If you are weary of mechanics and just want someone who's honest and actually helps you fix the problems with your engine or trans please take your car here! I brought in my 2005 ford mustang because shifting between gears has been rough. I thought I needed a fluid change or there were pieces of my trans floating around. The guys there were so honest and let me know that my engine was pulling misfire codes and that no work needed to be done on the trans. They easily could've charged me for the fluid change because I asked but instead they gave me my car back with only a diagnosis fee and actually helped me locate the problem. I'm changing my spark plugs and connectors right away and if I ever need any work done I'm going straight here. Down to earth honest people to sum it up.

I visited the N. Academy Blvd location for Best Western Transmission, Thursday, 03/26/2015. As they're reviews indicated I should received great service for my vehicle. Simply stated, the service and professionalism far exceeded my expectations. The attention-to-detail of the staff, cleanliness of the facility, and the the speed of the repairs on my transmission were simply outstanding!!! My plans are to inform church members and fellow veterans about my incredible experience at Best Western Transmission - N. Academy. In fact, I was really happy that a fellow veteran, Bert, completed the repairs on my transmission. I wholeheartedly recommend this company and especially the professionals at the N. Academy shop to any and all. Thanks

About 15 or so years ago I brought my truck in thinking I had a major transmission problem. Your guys inspected it and came back and told me it was just a little low on fluid, they topped it off, no charge, come back when you have a real problem. I never had a transmission problem where I had to come back thank goodness but I never forgot your honesty. For the last 15 years I have gone out of my way to send everyone I heard of with a transmission problem to you after telling them all about my experience at your company.

Absolutely great service! I had a major transmission rebuild done by Best Western. It was done in a timely manner and my transmission is like brand new. The manager at the Citadel Mall location, Jesse, gave me unbelieveable customer service with lots of integrity. I can speak with some authority on service as I have written customer service manuals for a couple a jobs I have managed, and I can tell you, these guys do it right. From their reputation, I chose them without calling or getting estimates from any other shop. Thanks for a great job Best Western.

My car has a hard to reach transmission dipstick witch requires a 12 mm socket to remove. Ron and his team at the Delaware DR. location removed the dipstick in minutes. They checked my transmission fluid and topped it off and didn't charge me a thing. I love these guys.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I have a 1998 GMC Suburban that had about 240,000 miles and had started slipping when shifting into second gear, common issue with high mileage transmissions of this type. Spoke with John for a quote for repairs and scheduled the work. Not only was it done when he said it would be, it was DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME and for the pricing we agreed to. Have had no problems at all, works awesome. I would give more starts if possible as I do almost all my own repairs since its hard to find an honest, trustworthy shop to do what they say they will. He has earned my future business. Thank you John for the awesome work on my truck.

One of our carpet cleaning vans broke down and would die anytime we put it in drive. It also made weird sounds when we put it in reverse. It was the middle of the work day when it broke down. I had another crew take over the jobs. I called my mobile mechanic but he was not available for 2 weeks. This is a work van and when it is down, we lose revenue. My mechanic said to call Best Western Transmission. John answered the phone and said he could look at it that day. I had the van towed and within an hour he diagnosed the transmission which was pretty much destroyed inside. He told me it could be up to 5 business days to get it rebuilt. I said ok, do it.John had the transmission rebuilt and back on the road in just two days. I appreciate that he under-promised and over -delivered. I am extremely happy with the service and I will recommend Best Western transmission to everyone.
