OIL IS STILL LEAKING!I took my car here for an oil leak a few months ago. They had my car for two weeks and finally called to say it was fixed. I had been given a flat rate of $1850 when they called with a price. However, when I went to pick it up, the bill was $250 more than the "flat" rate. They said they had to buy some bolts?? Anyway, after some arguing, they did knock off the extra $250. However, the next day, I noticed oil in the same spot under my car. I called to tell them, and I took it back a few days later. This time they said the oil was leaking from the seals. They supposedly fixed that, but it was not, as again, there was oil under the car in the same spot! Now they want $2350 to fix a leak that I already paid $1850 to have fixed and it wasn't. I am EXTREMELY unhappy and will never take my car there again!!!

I went in to Auto Tech Plaza in November to get a change of spark plugs on our 2012 Jeep Patriot. The counter attendant was very knowledgeable and we talked about cars from before the 1980's. I got scheduled and after the initial inspection, I was recommended to do a cleaning of the fuel injectors too. I knew that our car had not had these services before when we bought it and from talking with the person at the counter and watching the videos I realized as consumers we take out cars for granted and they need more attention than we realize as we are not mechanics.I've said this before in life that there are all kinds of genius that we have, emotional genius, intellectual genius, etc., but no one things of mechanical genius and most of us do not have that talent who drive cars.That is how we get mechanics and master mechanics and they are the experts we rely on to keep our cars in shape for our use.I said yes to the fuel injection clean out and left the store to wait while the services were being done. When I returned the car was finished. It was running like it was a much newer car after those services. Please listen to the mechanics who know more than most of us about our cars. And if you have the money to get maintenance work done, do it before things will get much more expensive. If you have to do some now then wait until you can afford it do that. You will have peace of mind!Update I went to Auto Tech Plaza on April 2, 2024 to have an alignment done to this same car. I made the appointment on 4/1/2024. I brought the Jeep in. They did an inspection of the area for the alignment to make sure it was possible before doing the alignment. That was a great recommendation! After the inspection proved that it was possible, the mechanic worked and got the Jeep aligned! It drives 100% better with the alignment taken care of. It feels safer on the road! I obtained quotes from numerous places. Some of which were too good to be true and others that seem like price gouging. I am very pleased with the results, everything is now working like new. The work was completed in a timely fashion right on schedule. I have used them several times and I have never had a single complaint. They have been able to solve problems that the dealer could not fix!

Damaged my brand new battery terminals, didn't fix my issue, lied about what they can/can't do.I took my older Subaru Outback in for an electrical short that caused 3 alternators to go bad. I had replaced my battery terminal a week before taking it in and when I received my car back, the metal is flaking and cracked. They also told me they could not diagnose the actual issue, they would have to refer me to another shop. However I taught myself how to use a multimeter and figured it out.. so they couldn't do that???They either did not want to deal with my car, or didn't believe the issue I was having when I dropped it off and lied about what they were capable of doing.The owner/manager/front desk man, Dave, talks in circles, will not answer questions in a straightforward manner and consistently treated me like I didn't understand up from down.So disappointing that my neighborhood mechanic is not one I can trust to help with issues when I don't have the time or ability.Service: Electrical repair

I have had a few different experiences with this place and overall they are amazing. The prices have shot through the roof for just an inspection. But that s normal. I would suggest this to anyone who had a need for a great mechanic. The work is done right and quick. A+ work.

Update!It's been quite a few years and I've brought quite a few cars with quite a few problems to them. They have never done me wrong and sometimes my actual cost is less than the estimate. Love them and they finally told me that I can take a break with my repairs that I'm good to go. I can't say enough good words about them. I bought a Groupon for ac service but my car required additional freon that I could not afford at the time. They were very honest and open about everything and told me to come back in the spring. While I did not actually have the repair performed, I did appreciate their professionalism and honesty. Thanks Mike. I'll see you in the spring or whenever my car breaks down. You're conveniently located within walking distance of my house.

Update: Since my original experience, George, one of the managers contacted me and made all my bad comments RIGHT! George corrected every deficiency and complaint I had in the most professional manner imaginable. George is the type of person that understands customer service. Pleasure working with you George, THANK YOU!!Under new ownership since my last visit and the difference is amazing..... In a bad way. I was told that I had a cross threaded lug nut. Upon completion of the job, the first 1/4 of the threads is what was stripped, a clear indication that the impact wrench was not holding the nut true and as it left the stud it went out of line causing the problem. When I confronted the guy that told me about it he would not listen to my point of view and constantly talked over me, unprofessional. Pictures to come. Sadly, like most businesses in the auto world the patron will fix their screw up vice letting them further disassemble and screw things up.Update: I looked at the wheel that was on the side they stripped the lug not on and there is a nice scratch from their excellent work.

Brought my truck in for a Groupon oil change and they did a great job. They did a complimentary check and came back with some important repairs in my CV axle. Usually I'm very unhappy with my experiences from other shops but I had to write a review because I'm a happy customer for sure! They were able to get my truck back into the shop right away and fixed the problem right up for me and for a very reasonable price. She drives so much better now, and this solved the handling problem I had been having. Thanks for all your help, I will be back for sure! Great friendly service and pet friendly to boot!

If you are looking for that 1 in a million Auto shop for your car care needs, THIS is that shop.Fantastic customer service is provided by each and every one of their professional and honest staff.I never have to worry about them trying to sell me services my vehicle doesn't need, but they do let me know what I should be looking to get fixed in the future so I can prepare.Great Shop. 10/10

I hard a synthetic oil change done on a mini copper countryman f60 year 2022, and a Kia soul lx year 2021. I found this place because of Groupon, I ve always used places like jiffy lube/Firestone my whole life because they re fast, reliable and price competitive. Dealerships or places that don t specialize in oil changes are a nightmare for something like oil changes unless you have a whole day to flush down the drain.I was pleasantly surprised how efficient auto tech plaza was.The location on Main Street, the entire staff is professional, friendly, and display great work ethic.I would trust and give them a chance to do other types of vehicle maintenance for me in the future.They also stock specialty filters for German cars and are fair on the filter price. They also don t charge extra to service imports beyond what they can t control, like a part that s more expensive. Nice clean lobby to wait in with comfortable chairs. Only change I d make is they need blinds or tint on the north side since the lobby is all glass, because you can t see tablet/phone screens very well to entertain yourself or work while waiting.Service: General repairs & maintenance

During the last snow storm in the Springs, I slid my Ford Explorer into a curb and it snapped my front passenger wheel right off the axle. I called AAA for a tow and they referred me to Auto Tech Plaza. Man, what an amazing experience!Nobody enjoys having to take their car to a repair shop for obvious reasons, but Robert made it completely painless and easy for me. He was very pleasant during our first exchange. He was also super informative about every detail of how it would be handled through my insurance and he kept me updated through the whole process with multiple phone calls over the following week. He was thorough, straightforward, and honest.I also had a few interactions with the store manager, Mike, who was equally as pleasant to work with. You can really tell that the staff there are customer service focused which is really refreshing.My car is back and in perfect condition - like nothing happened. The technicians did an outstanding job given that my tire looked like it was dangling by a thread when I first brought it in. They got it back to me in just a little over a week which was much quicker than I was originally quoted or anticipating. I will definitely be bringing them my business again with oil changes and the like.I highly recommend Auto Tech Plaza for any auto needs you have!

After taking our car to get a battery changed at one of the big tire places, our car broke down at the dog park. The guys at auto tech were able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem. They are a great small shop. They even gave my service dog a snack, I know we re I m taking my car now that we live in Security. Thanks guys your the best.Service: Engine repair

I went here before and it was a great deal for the oil change from Groupon. The staff was great my first time there. Went back recently and they told me my front differential bushing was cracked and he seemed bothered when I asked what that meant. I took my car to the Honda dealer and they showed me that my car doesn t even have a front differential bushing (literally showed me the underside of my car while it was lifted). Now I m having to pay for my car to get looked at when this wasn t even an issue :( won t be returning to this location.

This place was recommended to me (I just went to the wrong location), but they were so friendly, honest, and efficient. I got a full synthetic oil change + cabin filter replacement. They even did a bunch of extras (which they include in their service) and checked my vehicle thoroughly for potential issues without being pushy about getting it done right away. I am still surprised they also washed my car. I highly recommend this location!

We came here for an oil change less than an hour ago. They also did an inspection and found our air filter needs replacement. We have been religiously bringing our car to the dealership here in the Springs. We ve told the dealership countless times about how are ac/heater is not as it was before and they have never ever told us about the air filter or has done anything in the car aside from an oil change. This is our first time bringing our car outside of the dealership and they have told us immediately about our air filter as soon as they noticed it and showed us how messed up the filter is and how it can affect the car eventually. Our ac/heater is perfectly working again. They also recommended to change brakes on next oil change which again the dealership wouldn t have told us at all. Took my vehicle to autotech for some engine work. After diagnostics and estimate the ok was given to perform the work. The crew there did an outstanding job on their part making sure the process and fix was communicated to me before the work was done. Back on the road again. Life is good. I highly recommend David and his team. They were able to fix my car. They were the second shop I took my car to. The problem was not showing up on the diagnostic machine. The first shop kept it for a week and still didn't know the problem. I decided to try Auto Tech Plaza. It did take them 2 tries, but they fixed the issue and didn't keep my car for a week. We brought our car in for a routine oil change and caliper replacement on our rear right wheel and we were quoted a price, or so we thought, turns out it was another issue with the wheel bearing that was causing the issue and they updated us on the issue and took very good care of us letting us know what needed to be done and honoring the quote they had given us in the first place which they could have rightfully uncharged. Great people, wonderful service. They will definitely be getting my business and if you need honest and reliable people who get your concerns THEY are the team for you!

Easily best customer service I've ever received from an auto shop! Staff is very friendly and personable. They quickly come to know their customers on a first name basis. I brought my car in a few times for service(replaced transmission, replaced power steering pump, and an oil change) and was kept well informed by Mike throughout the entire process every time. Their pricing is always very reasonable, in fact they'll do what they can to try to save you some money here and there wherever possible. Can't recommend this auto shop enough!

We have used Auto Tech Plaza on Main St. in Colorado Springs several times and have been totally satisfied each time. They are friendly, customer-service oriented and do a great job! Mike, the Manager, kept me informed from the beginning and all along the way. He even was courteous enough to squeeze us in during the holidays as we had a road trip planned. Great people, great service and a great team! :)

Amazing honest shop highly recommend. I went in there for what I thought was a simple heater fix they let me know the entire situation and didn t touch the car without my go ahead because It was going to cost more. They had to take out my old radio (that I was planning to switch out anyways and had the newer in the vehicle) In order to the to the heater but they even took the time to put in my new radio great place. Will definitely be going back for more troubles. Honest people and you are always updated.

Someone had cut my catalytic converter off of my truck; while it was parked in the Fountain, CO Lowe's parking lot. I'm not mechanically inclined, So made an appointment to take my truck in for repair. Auto Tech checked it out and gave us an estimate. They were very professional and reasonable. In fact, their final charge was way below the Estimate. This will be our auto repair place from now on!!!

Wow! Blown away by the friendliness of the staff. Finally an honest shop, shows real integrity! Absolutely will be back. (Though hopefully not soon lol) I'm used to taking my car to a shop and getting a laundry list of "issues" because i am a woman and the see and easy payday. Not these guys, amazing. I HIGHLY Recommend coming here if you are in the southern part of the Springs and need work done on your car! This place has very reasonable pricing and they always make you feel welcomed. I ve been coming here for past few years and I haven t had any problems. I just want to shout out to Mike, Rob, Greg, Chris and George! They are amazing at their jobs and make me and my car feel very cared for. Unlike other mechanics they explain everything to a level of understanding considering that I m a girl and don t understand mechanic language. They also answer every question I have for them even if it off the wall. Thank you Tech Auto Plaza for being AMAZING!

Nick and his team did a great job on a bizarrely difficult job. Normally I do my own auto repairs, but this time it was my son s car and I just didn t have the time, so we contacted Auto Tech Plaza to get a starter replaced. Nick quoted a fair price, so my son dropped the car off. As it turns out, I m glad I didn t attempt the repair myself because the first four starters they installed all turned out to be defective! Nick persisted to find one that worked, keeping us informed all the way, and even providing my son a ride in the cold weather.I really appreciate that he s a straight-talker and that he really tried the best he could to keep the price down, in particular avoiding the easy option of getting a new starter from the dealer (which would have cost way more). Despite all the labor involved, he didn t charge extra and in fact offered to return the car and just charge the $70 inspection fee if we wanted to go somewhere else.It s hard to find a repair shop that s honest, fair, and concerned about the customer; I d recommend Auto Tech Plaza to anyone after this experience.Service: Engine repair
