Glo-plug replacement. Scanned error codes myself and brought in, but shop charged for duplicate diagnostics (-1). After replacing plugs, same error codes returned, plus a new one (-1) while driving home! Shop was stumped, and owner suggested that this work might be covered by a recall (+1) after the initial "repair" was completed (-1). Obtained second opinion from dealer service mechanics, and turns out this shop damaged the head of one the glo-plugs they replaced (-2). Although the owner did offer to make it right (+1), I took it to the dealer instead. For that reason, my four cars and I will not be returning.

Apex - truck & Auto Repair! Been bringing our cars to Randy for years! Excellent mechanic!Update 10/10/22Still very happy at Apex, they recently added a fence around the playground out back. Perfect if you have littles and it's nice out. My 6 year old wanted to come with me for my oil change to come play. See photos of the play area.

REVIEW - Sept. 2017I'm pretty disappointed with the integrity of Your Import Car Doctor. I took my 2002 Toyota in for an oil change, 4-tire rotation, and inspection of an odd whirring-like noise that was coming from my car. The manager, John, seemed friendly to me & this place had great reviews, so I trusted them. When John called me back, he said the noise I was hearing was from my left & right axles "having excessive play" (which is also written a couple times on the itemized list he gave me) & needed to be replaced "ASAP." Each axle cost $387 a piece to fix, not including labor. Upon hearing this, I decided to give my dad a call, who has been a reputable mechanic for 25+ YEARS. Because it would be $500 cheaper to buy the parts & have family fix my car, my dad bought 2 new axles and arranged for me to drive several hours to AJ, who is a trusted friend of the family. My dad is 1,200 miles away from me; otherwise I would have immediately gone to him for my car issues.AJ was done in an HOUR. Turns out, the noise I was hearing was NOT coming from my axles; it was coming from this huge piece of plastic jetted up somewhere near the top of the wheel. That's it! This piece of plastic was not inconspicuous by any means & was "not something that could have been missed by a mechanic who knew what he/she was doing" (his words). Both of my axles were FINE & did NOT need to be replaced as soon as possible. AJ had NO IDEA why it was recommended they be replaced ASAP. I don't hear the noise anymore after AJ removed that piece of plastic, so my problem is solved!If I went through with having both my axles replaced, I would've paid over $770 to get a repair done that I didn't even need. (My dad paid ~$100 for both the axles to be shipped, when clearly he didn't need to purchase them, but hopefully we can return those.) I expected great things from this business. Sure, they provide coffee & doughnuts. Sure, the waiting area is homey. But, when all is said and done, these things are trivial & say nothing about the integrity of a business. The unfortunate truth is that many auto shops take advantage of car-na�ve individuals & seems to happen especially to women. I didn't think Your Import Car Doctor was one of those sketchy places that took advantage of its customers, but I guess I was wrong.UPDATE - 12/24/17:I initially posted my review back in September (Sept. 30th), so I'm a bit shocked that Your Import Car Doc responded to my review merely a week ago... Nevertheless, I will address some of the bizarre statements made in his response. The "phone messages" I assume are referring to the ONE phone call I received from John several days after I posted my review. John stated he saw my review & asked me to call back. I did not return this (one) phone call because I did not want to give Your Import Car Doc more of my business or time. I was not standing over AJ as he fixed my car (duh) & this happened back in Sept, so I do not have the specific details on WHERE this piece of plastic was lodged... But I'm sure I could reach out to AJ via email & ask him for those specifics. I think it's pretty obvious by now that the noise I was hearing was coming EXCLUSIVELY from that piece of plastic. The reason I went to Your Import Car Doc in the FIRST place was because I was hearing this whirring/grinding noise. Thus, it is IMPOSSIBLE I "picked up some debris" on the way to AJs; I heard this noise BEFORE I went to AJs & BEFORE I went to Your Import Car Doc. As soon as AJ removed this piece of plastic, the noise I heard was completely GONE. There was never a "clicking" noise?? Sure, I appreciate the new axles gesture, but I didn't need new axles to begin with... Yes, my brakes are a bit squeaky, but my car is still running completely fine, just as it was before without that plastic.

Again, I have to give a shout out to Randy and his crew. I own a 2012 lifted 6.7 diesel F250 that had numerous front steering and other issues. I had Apex A& T diagnose and repair the issues and Wow!!! what a difference. My truck has never driven as well as it does now.Thank you so much Apex!This is a trustworthy honest competent facility.

I cannot say enough how appreciative I am to Randy and his team at Tech Center Services!!! I had I stem valve break off while refilling my tire at the circle K right by his shop. He repaired it for me right away at the spot I parked it, pulling his equipment out to the vehicle! I waited comfortably in the warm waiting area and it was done in less then 20 minutes! My frusturating morning turned out much better then I thought it would. He was such a gentleman! Thank you Randy!!

I thought I had already gave a review. I realized I didn't. Everyone needs to know the owner is awesome and figured out an electrical problem on my son's old car. Very reasonably priced. He is busy so you might have to wait a bit for an appointment, but having a good mechanic, is worth the wait. Thank you for your expertise and work ethics. Very much appreciated.

I love this place. It's not the cheapest, but they are fair and honest - that's more important to me when I'm looking for a mechanic. I won't be looking again until the owner retires. I've sent my family and friends to him.Update: Still going here. Still the best.My car has 331,000 miles on it and it's still going strong because they take such good care of my car.

Went to Apex Auto for an oil leak on my Jeep that was diagnosed by another auto mechanic business to confirm. Talked to Randy and had them check it out. He said everything was good and that I did not need any repairs. I felt Apex Auto was very honest and not looking to just make a buck. Will definitely use them in the future for any repair needs.

I have been with Import Car Doctor, aka Independent Volvo, for over a decade and have enjoyed trustworthy recommendations and excellent workmanship every year of the way.The front desk is friendly, never any waiting, the bill is fully explained, and I have never had to take any of my cars back for something that was missed or done wrong.And I'm so glad I don't have to drive to Motor City Drive. Although I'm not dissing on the Saab dealer service, they were great too, I just don't want to drive there.I highly recommend them.

Awesome experience. I already had purchased parts for my BMW, and Your Import Car Doctor happily installed them. They were very reasonably priced and very friendly. They even offered a loaner since it was going to be a few hours before they could get to it. It was done right and on time. I would highly recommend this repair shop. I was very impressed and that doesn't happen often with me and car service.

Randy is hands down the best mechanic in the Springs. I was involved in a accident so I brought my car to Tech Center Services because of what I had heard about them from friends. His staff was super fast, calling me back that day. Randy not only worked with the insurance company for me he called in his expert. Randy called his friend that is an agent with that very company to make sure I was well taken care of. They were also happy to tell me about other things to watch for with this model and my car in general. All of the technicians I talked to were friendly and helpful unlike some experiences I have had at other shops. Randy has become my go to mechanic due to his years of experience and friendly attitude. Anything Randy doesn't specialize in he is happy to recommend another expert for. This really is the best shop in the Springs and I can't thank Randy and his employees enough for my experiences here.

This auto shop was a lifesaver. In passing through Colorado on my way to North Carolina my vehicle started making a noise. Saturday morning I took it to Randy at Tech center he quickly diagnosed the issue as my driveshaft needed replaced. Jeep stop making them last year. Randy found a place to rebuild it and still get it back to me the same day as it was critical to get back on the road. He also followed up several days later to ensure all worked properly and the drive to NC went smoothly. They are honest people doing great work.

Randy is a rare gem as an honest, no-BS mechanic. They can do anything in their shop. He does the regular maintenance for us and we've trusted him for the last nine years. The shop also does auto-body, electrical work, a/c, and I *believe* everything else you could imagine for your vehicle. They've even got a fabrication shop on site. Shop moved from our neighborhood this last year and we still make the trip for all our maintenance/repair needs. Randy gives honest, candid assessments and helps you decide the best, most affordable course of action for your brand new vehicles or your 13-year-old pickup.

These guys are incredible! Randy, Brett and Wayne are super nice and very thorough. They came and picked me up when my classic car broke down by their shop then got my car to the shop without having to pay for a tow and even came in on Saturday to get my car ready for me to attend a car show on Sunday. Best customer I've ever had. Whether it's my classic car or modern daily driver these guys have all of my business.

My car suddenly began breaking down and I drove to the closest auto shop, I m so glad that I ended up here! Randy is such a kind and genuine person, and he was so quick to get me fixed up for an extremely reasonable price. I ll absolutely be coming back :-)

Import Car Doctor has been taking care of my Subaru and me since I moved to Colorado Springs ten years ago! 100,000 miles later, I am proud to say how happy I am with the value and service. They really go the extra mile for their customers. The waiting area is clean, the staff is organized (Bobby is FANTASTIC) and they explain any issues and repairs so that an layman can understand.This is a top-notch business. I would recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation. I wouldn't trust my car to anyone else!

Last year, I had them replace a melted fuse box in my 2001 VW Beetle, and they did an excellent job, at a great cost. They were quick and efficient and I have not had issues of that kind since then. In addition, the environment of their shop is friendly, clean, bright, and very cozy, with a fireplace and nice large leather couches. The perfect place to wait while they work on your vehicle, especially in winter, when that kind of comfort is so luxurious. I take my car to them for everything from oil changes to major repairs and they always do the job nicely. If your car is an imported vehicle, there is no one better you can take it to in town, in my opinion. They really know their stuff.

GREAT WORK | FRIENDLY | FAIRI recently brought my 2004 Audi A4 to Your Import Car Doctor because it wouldn t start. I spoke to the Service Manager, Fernando, who was extremely helpful. He was very informative, keeping me current on how the work was going throughout the repair process. Even went as far as to spend after hours time working on my car himself to ensure I would have my vehicle back as quickly as possible. After a couple of days I had my car back fixed, clean, and running without a problem.I highly recommend bringing your vehicle to Fernando and his team!

It's just about impossible to find an independent, honest vehicle mechanic. But this is one. They do high quality, reasonably priced service. And they don't try to sell you service or parts you don't need. So glad a friend referred me to them several years ago. They've worked on vehicles for me and for my adult children for years. Once saved about $1,000 over what a Denver mechanic was going to charge for some major repairs. These folks are great.

This place is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. The waiting room is comfortable. They even have cars to loan if you need yo leave yours in the shop. I always hated going to auto shops as I felt taken advantage of because of how little I know about cars. When I come here, they are always honest about what is a priority to be fixed and what can wait. I really appreciate that. Most people don't have hundreds or even thousands ready to throw into repairs, so having this honest feedback keeps me coming back. I was told by a tire shop I needed my front tie rods replaced, so I came here for a second opinion. Since the mechanics know Volvos, they were able to clarify that it wasn't necessary and saved me hundreds. Check this place out!

We've had issues with cars in the past and brought it over to TCS since it was close to where we lived. Randy and everyone there have always been super nice, professional, and personable throughout the years that we have been going to them. They are always straight to the point and have done an exceptional job each time. Highly recommended.

I dont usually leave reviews, ever, but this place deserves a 5 star. The owner, Randy, was genuinely nice and helpful in getting me in QUICK for a last minute repair on a busy day. I am so grateful to have stumbled upon this place. He even joked about the movie "Family Vacation" with Chevy chase and recommended a delicious restaurant that I am now currently enjoying. A day of car troubles turned into a beautiful experience. Thanks Randy, and team!!! You're awesome and appreciated.

Randy and his team are simply incredible. It's really hard to find a good mechanic. Not only that. It's hard to find auto mechanic shops that help you for what you need. They helped me on both cars that we have. Fast friendly service, reliable, and honest. If these qualities is what you're looking for, Tech Center Service is the RIGHT Auto-mechanic for you! Very happy I found these guys!Let s face it, if you re an auto mechanic, you would merely work on your car; otherwise, you have to try to find someone you can trust knowing that you are most certainly at their mercy. My car severely overheated and I was certain that I had blown a head gasket or cracked the block. Felt just like a couple of fowled plugs and after cooling down, wouldn t run worth beans. It was 9:00 pm on Sunday and the only place I could think of was Tech Center Services; so, I had it towed there. The next morning, they called and said my radiator was shot and although fixing it was just the first necessary step, they were confident that it was the only real problem. Picked up my car the next morning and it was running great.So, what s the big deal? After all, they just did their job. Well first, I left out how professional they were when I stopped by on Monday morning to let them know that it was my car that had appeared overnight in their lot. Second, how quickly they got back to me with a proposed solution and price. Third, how friendly they were when they called to tell me that fixing the radiator was all it ended up needing and that I was good to go. And lastly, how informative they were when I picked up my car. Not to mention how reasonable their prices are. Hands down, the best automotive repair shop I have been to in nearly sixty years.I will be going back and will definitely recommend them to anyone that will listen. As a pessimist, I don t expect much from people and am rarely surprised. These guys surprised me big-time. Everyone that I met there was professional, personable, and genuinely seemed to care.

FANTASTIC SERVICE + prices! First time using their services. Was highly recommended by someone close to me who has been going to them and only them for years. I finally listened to this person and they did NOT disappoint! They are now going to be my regular, number 1 choice for auto repair services forever more! They really can fix anything! And Randy was the best!

I had my clutch replaced here and previously gave them a good review. A job was recommended to be done after the technician noticed an issue while replacing the clutch. After a while I decided to have them perform the job, which was replacing a hose. The employee that made enough of an impact on me to give a five star review no longer worked there. I received poor service throughout this transaction and spent over $400 to replace one hose that I provided. My cars interior was not put back together correctly after the hose was replaced and my check engine light came on showing two codes after driving less than 30 miles. I previously had no codes and now I have two. I contacted your import car doctor about these issues and the mechanic called my a liar and yelled into the phone for the entire conversation. I would like to bring my car in to have the issue resolved, but I am afraid of the mechanic making it worse after our conversation. I highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs.

When it comes to diagnosing problems these guys are genius. If you want a friendly honest place to get your car fixed, look no further. One time I took my car in there thinking I needed a new motor. Randy tweaked a couple things under the hood and said have a nice day. My car got five more miles to the gallon feels like brand new. Every time I go there the whole crew makes me feel like I'm some kind of Rockstar. They have worked on all my cars for years and I will never go anywhere else. My Husband and I both LOVE the Car Dr. The whole staff is helpful and accommodating - I am always able to bring my own things to work on while my car is being taken care of. The mechanics always give us a detailed explanation of what is wrong with our vehicle and sometimes they take us out to the shop to show us first hand the problem so we can see it ourselves. We've been given rides to come pick up our car before when it was finished, and they even offer a few drinks and snacks! I would highly recommend!
