Have been taking my truck to him for years. Highly recommend using Smitty's. He is fair honest and dependable. The price and time to repair is always spot on. So if you need repairs for your vehicle take it to Smitty's. It is refreshing to know you can trust him.

Stay FAR away from this guy. My front wheel seals were out and he told me I had shavings in the front end differential and I believed him ND he replaced it for a used one. Put the new one in and the seals break again. Brought it back in and he said he fixed it but I do an oil change and they broke again. Or he didn't fix it. He had changed my brakes which my dad paid for. And a scraping noise cane from the back brakes 6 months after he supposedly did the brakes. And he tried to tell me the scraping noise in my brakes was the rear differential. And I needed a new one. I told him dude the noise is coming straight from the brakes. Then he was like oh ok well ill fix them cause I did them recently didn't I ... then when if "fixed" the brakes. He pad slapped them. He got me for alot of money and 0 correct work done to it.

Mr. Smitty is an upstanding, honest man. He got me and my family back on the road in record time. We were traveling through with a 40ft fifth wheel when we suddenly had some issues. Called every local place we could and all of them either couldn't help today or they didn't have room for our RV to be detached. Mr. Smitty was really kind and understanding. Even jumped our rv battery so we could detach. Then got right to checking our truck out. We have mechanic experience so we thought it was brakes or a wheel hub. When he looked into it he found a bolt that had somehow lodged itself in the truck making all the noise. He could have easily told us we needed new brakes or a wheel hub and we would have believed it. But he got the real problem solved and checked out the truck for safety and sent us back on the road paying little to nothing. So great to find an honest man/business. If we were local he would definitely be our full time mechanic.Make sure to check him out if you need help.

THIS MAN IS A THIEF ! Make sure he returns the parts he "says " he replaced. Chances are he lied about the diagnosis, No estimate so there's no way to argue. GET IT IN WRITING BRFORE HE DOES ANY WORK! and colorado state law says he can only charge either $25 or 10% above the estimate, Don't be suprised if the final cost far exceeds that. There are plenty of other shops down the road, just turn south on 32 road and there are three honest, good mechanics. You'd be better off choosing any of them BEWARE OF SMITTY'S GARAGE!!!!! And if you do use him get a locking gas cap!

Bought a used jeep that had a problem with the passenger side front wheel making an awful sound as you drove. The faster you drove the worse it got. Called jeep and they quoted me $400.00 just to look at it. Called Scotty's and they quoted $75.00 just to look at it. Called Smitty's he quoted me $49.00 to look at it, so I took it to Smitty's. Dropped it off and two hours later he called back and told me what was wrong. My wheel bearings were bad. Quoted me about $500.00 for the job and had it done that day. Very friendly and professional, will be getting my business from now on

Out of all the automotive shops out there, Smitty's is hands-down, best quotes, honest people, and great service! They gave me a rundown of the problems my van had and beat the other competitors quotes which I was very pleased to hear. They fixed my van with no BS and gave me honest answers unlike other Automotive mechanics. Stop searching and go to Smitty's. You will find no better in Grand Junction.

Recently had my brakes and rotors done and they didn't put my tire back on the right way, so when I was driving my bolts started snapping in half on the highway and I had to get my vehicle towed. They did replace my wheel and my bolts and no charge but it was a very dangerous situation. Gave two stars due to pricing is fairly cheap and they are not bad people, mabey just a bad mistake.

Needed new wheel bearings and hub for my superduty truck. I was in and out in less than 4 hours! The price seemed a little high to me, but who actually likes the price of a repair bill no matter WHAT the price is. Good quality work, they are trustworthy.

I took my truck in to have the freezer plugs checked out, and they said it was fine, however my thermostat housing was leaking so they fixed that and it cost me 800$. When I got home, the thermostat was still leaking and the bolts for the carburetor weren't tightened all the way. These guys are scam artists and I definitely would not take another vehicle here. Many of my friend have gone here and also have had bad experiences here.

Can you say Sabotage? My check engine light came on, so I took it to AutoZone to get the code and try to figure out what was going on. My car was running just fine, so I was confused as to why the check engine light came on. Because it was running just fine, I still wanted to get it looked at a little more in-depth, to make sure what AutoZone said was correct. So I took it to Smitty s to have them hook it up to the computer to diagnose it. As I mentioned, it was running just fine when I took it in. Smitty s diagnosed it and told me that it was a $500 or so fix, but that was just a guess (exact words). Well that didn t make me feel good about their diagnosis at all. I mean, if they are just guessing, how do I know it is correct? When I got back in my car, it was running horribly, unlike when I brought it in. I asked if they had to unplug anything to hook it to the computer and I was told no . I then took it to another mechanic and they found that a couple plugs - something to do with rocker arm sensors??, were unplugged. I asked if that could just happen or if someone had to actually unplug them. They said that someone had to unplug them. So....either Smitty s intentionally unplugged them or forgot to plug them back in. However, they didn t need to unplug them to hook up to the computer to diagnose it. So, I have to think that it was intentional. You may want to rethink going to Smitty s.

My radiator was leaking so I couldn't drive far for repairs and Smittys was close so I gave them shot. They said they would test the pressure and give me a call, about 30 minutes later they called to tell me it needed to be replaced and quoted me $500.00. When I arrived to pick the car up he informed me that he'd accidentally quoted a water pump and my total was only $300.00. Honest & Fast Service, I highly recommend Smittys.

Arrived in town to buy a vehicle and brought it here for a pre purchase inspection. Smitty was very honest and told us everything wrong with the truck. He was very straightforward and reasonably priced. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The owner looked at a 4runner for me before I bought it...he test drove it plus looked it over and gave me his opinion as a professional mechanic. His shop seems busy most if the time, his place is in the same building as Brittney and Nick's store, right off i70 business loop in Clifton, I will use smittys if/when I ever again need a mechanic

Stopped at this back alley garage in a small town with a front end problem while on the Colorado Interstate. Feared it would be a replay of "Family Vacation." Instead, the problem was immediatly diagnosed. Smitty sent us to breakfast and in an hour, parts were obtained and repair was finished. Charges were very fair. We were on our way. If you need help in or around Clifton Colorado, this should be your first call.

We were passing through when our A/C went out, Mr. Smitty himself assesed the situation immediatly and we were back on the road in no time at all. Amazing shop!!! The sisters from california thank you!
