We ride UTV s and this place is a great spot. Ride right from the parking lot. Some of the best scenery. I recommend riding north to Hog Park Lake (west side) then over to the east side and then back south to Red Park for a loop. The cabins are amazing, grounds are beautiful, and the service cannot be beat. This is our second year and we decided this will be our yearly trip. Can t beat this area! The ice cream after a ride is a great treat too!

We stayed here for a week of Jeeping and rented 11 of the cabins. Our cabin didn t have a bathroom so we used the bathhouse and all of the amenities in there were great! Clean, large, modern, comfortable, couldn t have asked for anything more. The cabin itself was very clean for its rustic look along with the grounds and all of the amenities. Kudos to the staff for their outstanding service. Lastly the Ice Cream was a nice treat after a day of Jeeping. I would definitely stay again.Steve

Just home from our favourite weekend of the summer. This year I have to let everyone know about our amazing experience with the owners and staff. My son broke his leg the first evening of our stay and couldn't walk the entire 3 days. The staff heard about our situation and borrowed a wagon from some friends so we didn't have to carry him everywhere, the wagon was delivered to the front door of our cabin with a cozy blanket. We went on to have a fun, peaceful weekend at the cabins. THANK YOU!!

I have stayed here both in the winter and just recently did a summer stay. This is such a professional operation with clean cabins and the most amazing bath house. Perfect basecamp for backcountry skiing, mountain or gravel biking, as well as hiking. Also they have an ice cream setup this summer :-)

We had a wonderful weekend staying at the cabins! The cabins exceeded our expectations. They were stocked with everything we needed (and more). The beds were very comfortable and the bunk beds were safe for our boys. The hospitality was great too! Emily, at the front, had great recommendations for hikes and was up-to-date with trail openings and closures. She had an answer for everything and was so sweet!! We will be back!

Absolutely loved this place! Family owned and very friendly service! Such a peaceful get away and the cabins/grounds are SO well kept. I've never seen such a clean campground restroom/shower house before. We will definitely be returning for another visit! Highly recommend!!

This is the perfect getaway spot! The cabins are cozy and clean with everything you need in them. The property is beautiful and the setting is gorgeous! We loved being able to look at Hahn s peak from our porch. We also loved the cross country ski trail on the property that took us through a winter wonderland. It s close to Steamboat Springs but you feel like you are a world away from everything. We loved our stay and cannot wait to come back!

We stayed there the last week of September when the Aspens were in full color! This place was amazing. Cabin was warm with a wood burning stove and electric heat. Also had a bathroom and shower all while retaining it's rustic look and feel. Impeccably clean and well stocked with everything you would need for a stay except the food! Best part was no wifi or cell service! A forced disconnect from work was much needed and this place was the perfect spot for it!

Our stay at the Historic Columbine Cabins was exactly the respite we needed after a chaotic year. Gorgeous, cozy cabins overlooking Hahn's Peak and within minutes of some of the best snowshoeing, skiing, and snowmobiling in the state! The rooms have all of the amenities you need, and we were amazed at the immaculately cleaned bathroom/shower area. I could see this being a great place to bring kids and families, it's an ideal "backcountry-lite" experience where you're secluded out in nature, but you still have plenty of creature comforts.

We loved our cabin! We stayed in the Honeymoon cabin, and it was so cozy and had all the necessities. They are dog friendly! We took along my dog, and I think she had just as wonderful as a time as we did. Don't shy away because your cabin doesn't have a bathroom, because the shower house was so clean and sanitary! They provided plenty of bath mats and wash cloths (towels are in the cabin).

We've come here for years, and the snow has never let us down for cross-country skiing. Hahn's Peak has some neat bowls to Telemark. Cabins are clean and very nicely furnished, in a spectacular setting -- beautiful, quiet, no other businesses around for miles -- nothing like it anywhere else. The owners and on-site caretakers are caring and helpful. It's a great opportunity to get off the grid and in touch with the real world. I love this place!

Everything about this place is magic. We stayed in the Hilltop cabin which is secluded and tucked away facing Hahn's Peak. We literally could look at the peak outside the door of the cabin. Highly recommend this place. The bathrooms were extraordinarily clean. There were birds, chipmunks and cows. We hope to come back and stay in the Burton cabin next!

Four of us stayed at Columbine Cabins for 2 nights the end of Feb, 2019. This is truly a beautiful & wonderful place! We stayed in the (fully supplied) Caron House & loved it. We enjoyed the wood fired sauna one evening. The snow was deep &the views of Hahn's Peak are fabulous. We are building a home near Steamboat Lake & will be staying at Columbine Cabins often during the process! Can't say enough great things about this place. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

This was my first time staying at The Cabins at Historic Columbine. (Carron House) the cabin was super clean, warm, and cozy. Great to step out on the porch with coffee in hand and have Hahns Peak great me each morning. The rustic sauna (which was just in front of my cabin) was just the ticket after a day of snowmobiling. The experience was a true blessing - wish I could've stayed longer - just what I needed after a crazy 2020. Will definitely return.

I have just spent 12 hours on the property, but I'm already in love. The cabins are quaint and rustic but really not any more than you need. The lodge and bath house is unlike anything I've seen at a cabin campsite. They also have a wood-burning steam sauna which is a dream. The staff on site have been super helpful, and I expect they would help us get anything we needed. If you are looking for a quiet weekend in the mountains away from all the hustle and bustle, I would highly suggest checking out this property.

As always my stay was warm, accommodating and packed full of snow and memories. I think this is my 4 stay at the cabins and have never had a bad year. I've been coming to Steamboat since 2008 to both ski and snowmobile. The owners are good people and friends, that's what leads to memorable vacations!

You must stop for the delicious, locally made ice cream whether or not your staying in their lovely cabins! The kind staff helped our family out when we were in a pinch. What great hosts!

This place is just fantastic. It's so far out and away from the city you'd think you're on your own. My wife and I were there for 3 days. For 2 nights we were alone (except for the co-owner) working the grounds. Dead silent at night. Quality cabins well stocked with everything you need. They think of everything. The view of the mountain is spectacular. Unique experience. Just keep in mind you are disconnected from the digital world out there so prepare for that if you've got kids. It's snowmobiling country out there.

I have stayed at several of the Cabins here. I enjoyed it every time, and really enjoyed the sauna. Unfortunately, it looks like they now require a minimum of 5 days for any reservation.

I was here for a wedding. Although I wasn't an overnight guest I feel like I wish I had been. The cabins are gorgeous and rustic. Each had a wood burning stove and sink. Toilets and showers are in the main Lodge which also has a lounge. The venue is spectacular and very accommodating. The scenery is breathtakingly pure.

Great place. I had the hilltop cabin. Zero cell service which is excellent. 29 miles from steamboat springs. $80 a night, which is only $4 more than koa and it's twice the size. Wood stove and fireplace, and fire pit, AND grill. Warm AF in there at night.

Super nice place with a real cabin feel! Shower house was very nice, nicer then my home shower! Pool table, ping pong table, snowmobile from but cannot park in front of your cabin due to parking but no problem! Access to the back country in all directions!

The cabins were very rustic and cozy. The wood-burning stove kept it nice and toasty. The oven/range is also wood heated, but an electric hot plate was provided too. The scenery was gorgeous

We stayed at the Caran house while we came up on a snowmobile trip. Everything was very easy. There was a snowmobile rental place a few miles away, plenty of room for parking, and we could drive out right onto the trails. I would highly recommend staying here while on a snowmobile trip. Not to mention the riding was out of this world.

This is such a neat place up in the mountains near Steamboat. The cabins are very charming and the owners (Todd and Tammy) treat you like family. The price is right, too. If you need a rental cabin near Steamboat Springs, you should definitely give them a try!
