Travis at Tombstone Diesel built my engine from a pallet of parts that I had been collecting for a year and didn t even hesitate. He was extremely fair on price and helped me out quite a bit on the final check. He even used some of his personal parts to make up for the ones I didn t supply. He has earned my business and then some. Gotta go back and have him run a catch can.

Tombstone Diesel is the premier shop for anyone looking for the best service and the best Quality. Travis is the absolute best to work with. My truck was done on time.. actually a day early, and the attention to detail exceeded my expectations. I was not over sold anything and He went the extra mile in every aspect of service. These guys are great. I called and talked to Travis (he gave me great advice and was very helpful). I told them what I was looking to have fix and replaced on my 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins and they advised me that I could get better mileage and performance with spending money on other parts. The work was quick and very helpful. If you re looking for repairs and/or performance like I was, this is your 1 stop shop. The only issue I had was they are booked out a week or so, but that s what happens when it s a good and honest shop. I ll deff be ordering and having these guys work on my truck(s) and will recommend them to all my friends. I loved my truck before, buts it s a whole different truck now and I love it even more. Happy customer here.

I bought a BD transmission from Travis after my old transmission quit in my 2005 Dodge 2500. I usually don't get things done at shops because I can usually do everything I need to on my vehicles. I decided to go with Travis and Tombstone Diesel because Travis is a certified BD Transmission installer and can also service them as well. I have no doubt I made the right decision. Keep up the good work Travis.

Could have sworn I had already posted this. Anyway... Travis has performed quite a lot of work on our 2013 Ram 3500, primarily on the 6.7 L Cummins Engine. Some were repairs, some upgrades.He is thoroughly knowledgeable, quick to respond, and performs high quality work that he stands behind 100%. The only callback I've ever had to return to him was a part failure that may have actually been caused by a Ram dealership. Travis replaced the part, and even though the manufacturer refused to cover it, he fixed it at absolutely no cost to us. You simply can't beat that!

Travis is the guy for diesel performance. He rebuilt my '02 Cummins from the bottom up and it is a thing of beauty. Such quality. This is the shop you want to take your diesel to.

Anyone who owns a diesel knows that when they need to fixed they need to be fixed right and the first time! Travis knows what he is doing and I trust no one else with my 7.3 than him. Anytime I give a referral/recommendation to Tombstone all my friends are highly impressed. He is dead-set honest (seriously) and does high quality work. You can trust him and he s very easy to work with. I can t recommend him enough. I drive Hummers, 7.3, 650s, etc (all with various upgrades and specialties) and Travis knows exactly what to do with them all.

Travis and Tombstone Diesel are the best mechanic/ performance shop you will find. I don't even know where to begin. He is incredibly skilled building high performance diesel trucks and also doing regular work and repairs on diesel trucks. His shop is clean and he operates with incredible integrity. Travis just rebuilt the motor on my truck and did an excellent job. Not only did he take the time and care to make sure everything he did was perfect, but he also addressed and fixed several other issues that I had not known to be there. If you need a good diesel shop Tombstone Diesel is definitely the place to go. They do great work and are very meticulous. My truck is running great!

I am 70 years old and have had a number of experiences with mechanics. To say the least Travis is the absolute best. His knowledge is beyond his years. His attention to detail and his professionalism is second to none. I have never been overly impressed with mechanics but now have found "The Best" in the state of Colorado. If I lived on the western slope I would make the trip to have him work on my truck. That is how much I think of him. If you want the very best in service, professionalism and attitude (Extremely nice man. Almost to a fault) you can't go wrong. Even though he is a one man operation, it's to your advantage, as there is no one out there will give you the attention to detail like Travis. Make a new friend with him you won't be disappointed.

I took my 2003 7.3 powerstroke to Travis for a few upgrades and maintenance issues and he knocked it out of the park! His attention to detail is evident and he went above and beyond to ensure I was going to be happy with his work. In short, he made me happy with my truck again! No need for a new truck when this one feels like it now! If you have a diesel, you need to talk to Travis.

Travis with Tombstone Diesel is a top tier diesel mechanic. He s very knowledgeable about each platform. He was very patient, listened to my concerns and answered all my questions respectfully. If you re looking for a quality shop with a great mechanic I highly recommend Tombstone diesel and Travis. I can not say enough about Travis and his work and customer service. He takes the time to listen and understand your needs and then explains what he feels would be the best solution to your issues and needs. He quotes you a price that is fair and then he delivers. I had multiple things done to my duramax including an efi live tune on the tow mode. This has made a world of difference on how my truck now tows my fifth wheel. The shifting under load is so much smoother and I ve actually seen a slight gain in fuel economy. While performing the work he came across things that could be cleaned up and rerouted which he did. His attention to details is in my opinion one of the things that sets him apart from other shops and mechanics. I traveled over 100 miles to have Travis work on my truck and can t be happier. This will be the only shop that I will visit from now on. I highly recommend Tombstone diesel to anyone in need of a great diesel shop. Thanks TravisPaul 05 GMC Duramax

I have owned my Dodge ram for about 16 years now and have struggled the entire time with finding a trustworthy and competent diesel mechanic in the Denver area. I've been to several places in the Denver, Parker, and Castle rock area. Some did a fairly decent work, and work done by others ended up being pretty poor - or at a minimum questionable. Fortunately, my truck hasn't required much maintenance attention over the years, but when it does, I want to have confidence the work is being done right, and I am not being gouged or up-sold on a bunch of stuff that doesn't need to be done either with the engine, or other areas of the truck.I ended up needing some work done on my truck last month (engine, exhaust, and drive train), and I started asking around for recommendations from friends I trust since I didn t have a lot of confidence in the shops I ve used in the past and preferred not to use any of them if I didn t have to. Travis at Tombstone Diesel was recommended to me by a friend of mine who himself was a diesel mechanic for a number of years.Every aspect of my dealings with Travis and Tombstone Diesel was completely top notch, from Travis good communication and responsiveness to my initial email to schedule an appointment, to the bumper to bumper inspection of the truck and his very honest and realistic prioritization of what definitely had to be done, what would be nice to get done, and what might need to get done someday , to the pre-work estimate, and all the way through to the work being completed. I was informed and in the loop the entire time.As most diesel owners know, they tend to be expensive to get parts for, and mechanic/technician labor rates can be quite high. What Travis charges is very reasonable - especially considering the quality of work that I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that he does. He's the kind of guy who, if he tells you something needs to be done, you can actually trust that he's being honest, and not trying to simply get more work and money out of you.Travis is definitely a straight shooter, which I absolutely appreciate at this stage of my life where I have no time or patience for slick salesman nonsense - been there and done that for sure, and that has been a problem with some of the past diesel shops I ve used over the years, which is why I no longer go there.Last and certainly not least, the attention to detail and quality of the actual work done on my truck is some of the best I ve ever experienced. Again, my truck is about 16 years old at this point and it runs and drives better now than I can ever remember it running and driving even my wife noticed (go figure).Oh - and this snowstorm we had last week made it so I was not able to come down and pick up my truck during the week like I intended to once his work was done (which he completed on schedule, by the way). Travis made a special trip to meet me at the shop over the weekend so I could get it. Top notch customer service right there.Anyway, suffice to say that I feel extremely fortunate to have found Travis and Tombstone Diesel, wish I would have known about him sooner, and without question, any future work done on my truck will be done by him. He legitimately comes with my highest recommendation. I wish I could give him a 6th or 7th star... I suppose a 5 star rating will have to do. Thanks a bunch, Travis!

In today's environment it's pretty challenging to find honest, high integrity, meticulous work. Travis is someone who represents all of these qualities and understands that creating lifelong customers is an authentic way of growing business. He actually cares about the products, work and integrity which is why he creates "raving fans". I feel blessed to have met him both personally and professionally after several instances. I run a few different trucks, a Cummins and Powerstroke and he has done miraculous work on both. He's a great contact to have no doubt!

Looking for high end diesel work done on time, at a reasonable price, from a super cool guy with integrity who really knows his stuff? Look no further. Travis is your guy. He just completed a BD exhaust brake install on my 2nd gen Dodge, and a steering upgrade. Brilliant work and he was kind enough to work late last night and was done a day early because there's a snowstorm coming in. Travis does work on way higher end motors and gear than my beloved 2nd gen 5.9 - so bring him your biggest challenges. I got her back today and immediately booked my Dodge in for a leveling kit a couple weeks from now. As I said to him earlier today, my only regret leaving this 5 star review is I'm worried he may book up for all the work I'm going to send him over the next few years. I'm sure you'll have the same great experience I've had, and all the other 5 star reviewers here have had. I strongly recommend Tombstone Diesel Performance for all your Diesel performance needs.

I can t say enough good things about Travis. We have 3 diesel pickups which Travis totally rebuilt the engine in one of them he does things right and is truly the most honest mechanic you will find. Had an awesome experience working with travis. He helped me figure out what the best option was going to be for my truck. Was able to schedule my truck to get in just a few days after parts arrived. I dropped my truck off at 2 o'clock on a Wednesday and picked it up the following day. Extremely quick work all while paying attention to the smallest things. I couldn't be happier with my new BD trans and torque converter. You cant get service like this anywhere else.

I run a hotshot company. I was coming through the area when I thought my exhaust manifold was leaking. I stopped in and the first thing I noticed was the cleanliness of his shop. To me it showed he had pride in his place. He had other stuff he was working on but still took a second to look at my truck and diagnosed it in 30 seconds. And in 10 minutes had it fixed and ready to roll. Didn t even want to let me pay. It will be a much nicer ride back home to Texas! Thanks so much for your help!!

Travis is incredibly knowledgable and ethical. Whatever you use your truck for, he's the guy to go to. A one man shop, he's got his own hands on your vehicle, and goes out of his way to offer great service. I can not recommend him highly enough. It's been a priviledge to know him and work with him. His attention to detail is second to none, his workmanship immaculate, and he has fun doing it. What a pleasure to find somone who has such great values and customer care. He is a friend in the end.
