These guys don't ensure the experience they provide is of a sufficient quality to keep you coming back. I had a vehicle that needed a new DEF injector, I called and they told me that they called a local dealership to see if they had the part and were told the part wasn't in stock. I personally called the dealership and asked the same question. Oddly they had the part and were willing to sell it to me. I called the shop and was told they couldn't go get it- so I drove myself and picked up the part. I brought it back and they installed it. However, when they installed it they routed the DEF line over the exhaust and it melted through in the middle of Wyoming. I was stranded there for 2 days while the parts arrived. I called and asked them if they were willing to cover the cost to me of the installation error. They told me they would work it out with the shop in Wyoming. Come to find out the covered $200 for the reinstallation. They didn't cover my hotel, rental car, or missed work. This is the type of service they provide. I understand that things happen and mistakes are made, that is part of life. However when things happen the expectation is to make it right. I believe they only care about your dollar and not a thing about your experience at their shop. They told me to reach out with additional receipts which I have sent, but they no longer respond to emails. This is the type of experience you may be in for, so before heading this direction look around and find a place that does quality work and stands by it- these guys don't and when called out by another shop they still won't. Businesses like this contribute to the decay of the society we grew up appreciating.

Look no further. We had an emissions sensor go bad two days prior to us leaving for a golf/Rv vacation. They squeezed us in with no problems. Saved our trip and my sanity. I needed out of the Colorado cold!! Make this your go to diesel shop.

Great job. I will never go to a dealership again for repairs. They worked on my truck did a great job. Also replaced the brakes and rotors on my wife's Nissan Rogue. Took care of the shuttering when stopping.

Amazing service! Rob was wonderful to work with and I m so grateful that I found him after having a rough experience with another mechanic. He helped me to find the problem and make the necessary repairs within a few days, and at a reasonable cost! Rob and his crew got my truck in quickly and diagnosed the issue. He then called me and discussed the repair that was needed. They then got it all fixed up the same day. Prices were reasonable. I would definitely go back to them again for repairs on my Ram diesel pickup. I'd much rather give my business to a good local shop, then the big fat dealership sitting over on highway 85. It's good to know that we have such a good local shop here in Brighton.Service: Auto water leak repair

Always honest and upfront but never pushy, they have your best interests as a truck owner in mind. Their depth of knowledge, experience and credibility is unmatched anywhere else. Called for an emissions test. I was able to get in very quickly. I was also able to get a couple of other maintenance things done without having to schedule another appointment. Steve was very accommodating and helpful for all my concerns. He and his employees went above my expectations. Better than the dealer I use to go to. I ll be back without a doubt! My 15 ram 6.7 Cummins had a stored message that wouldn t go away I took it to Johnson auto Plaza and where it sat for 2.5 days without being looked at. I have owned my truck for 6 months now and have only been able to drive it maybe 3 of those months due to some crazy electrical issues. The ford dealership could not fix the issue so I took it to another independent mechanic. He had the truck for 3 weeks and was unable to make any headway at all. My decision to let Excel work on my truck was the best thing I could have possibly done. Steve got my truck in the shop that night and Will started working on it immediately. By 11:00 am the next morning I had a diagnosis and price for repairs. As I write this review my truck is sitting in my driveway completely repaired and all function restored and it is has been only 48 hours since I decided to take it to Excel. Will is an amazing tech and the entire team at excel is so awesome. If you want your truck with a shop you can trust that employs great techs and charges fair prices... go here! Rob and his team of technicians are the real deal! We have had our 95 Ford F-150 truck in twice for different repairs and have been super pleased with the work and reasonable pricing structure. If you have an older truck, diesel, or SUV this is the shop for you!

It's hard to leave a poor review without making accusations and talking poorly about a business. Excel really wants a review from all the emails they sent me, so I'll be brief and keep it as fair as possible.Accurate inspections, clear and concise reports and estimates are a must in this business. Excel has the resources as a company for great clarity, but it's only as good as the information it gets. My reports, estimates, and verbal communications were not clear and concise, but vague and convoluted with inaccuracies and missing information. - it cost me both in time and money. It was as if they didn't want the work, or didn't think I would actually go through with the work.Work performed was completed, but at a low quality (Ball joint boots ripped, Improperly torqued steering linkage, etc...). A general lack of respect for my truck (Parking it into dry tree branches, oil not cleaned up off linkage and frame, etc...). Certainly not reflective of the premium they charge.2 stars because they called and stopped work once they realized their inspection was incomplete. Too bad the parts cost was already incurred.I'm happy to elaborate to those who can make a difference, but I have no plans to bring any further business here, let alone recommend them in good conscience.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Got in with no notice, repairs done in a day, kept up to speed step by step! Rob was professional, courteous, and I never once felt like I was being pinched for some sales plan like you do at large chain garages! Good experience. Got emissions testing done, not much to it. I also got a VIN verification done, only issue I had was they showed the inspection date as the year prior and neither I nor the sales person noticed while I was at Excel. Fortunately I went to the DMV that day and the clerk, who noticed the incorrect date, was able to process it as they're good for a year.

Rob was great! US ARMY Veteran and proud to be an American. I m a US Marine, so after some playful banter about who s service rocks the most (Of course it s the Marine Corps), he got to work!In all seriousness, I was in a bind and needed a radiator, thermostat, and some suspension work done and I needed it done yesterday! I needed to get to Sturgis by the weekend before the City impounded my camper (long story).Needless to say, Rob and his team came to my aid and made the repairs promptly and efficiently. And though I expected to be dinged for rush fees and the like, I was pleasantly surprised to find there were none. The repairs were right where they should be for pricing.I will be bringing my obnoxious Dodge back to this location for future repairs for years to come. Emisdions test conducted very efficiently as soon as I arrived for appointment. Excel has worked on our diesel truck and they are an outstanding service center. Rob is SO courteous, supportive and candid with recommendations. I highly recommend Rob and his crew. They are conveniently located, easy access, and clean waiting area. They're great.
