This shop is amazing. Servicing a Volvo is expensive, but their quotes are always far below those from the dealer. Whereas I have to call multiple times to get anyone from Sil-TerHar to answer or call me back, then wait a month for a loaner, I can always get someone on the phone the first try here, and can consistently get an appointment within a few days. Most recently, the dealer said that I needed new front brake pads and rotors, and quoted me $1,100. Swedish Motors quoted $900 total for front AND rears. I made the appointment, and within half an hour of dropping it off, they called to let me know that I didn't need to have either set replaced, because they still had plenty of life. That's the way to earn trust!Keep up the great work!

Had a great experience with this shop today. Took my daughter's Volvo S60 in due to "check engine" light. They quickly diagnosed and fixed it all within the day for a very reasonable price. They explained the issue in detail and offered some additional advice for this model. Great customer service and now my go to shop in Boulder.Service: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic

Swedish Motors is fantastic! There is a new group in the front that are very knowledgeable and friendly. Brad who is an amazing mechanic runs the back, and he is totally knowledgeable, fair and honest. My 2016 S60 just purrs after my appointments here.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

I have been taking my Volvo s to Swedish for 10 years now and the level of service and expertise has been consistently excellent. They are always honest and realistic with estimates and timing, and are affordable compared to the dealership. I had an engine fire with a complicated supercharger repair and they navigated the process with my insurance company, advocated for me and even spared a loaner for a while when my rental expired. Their shop pug Beans is adorable. Highly recommended!

Brought my V60 Polestar in to have them upgrade my turbo recirculation valve (eCRV). Very professional work and installed promptly. Will be going back for more work when it is needed!

I've been taking my 2017 V90 to them for a couple years now. Because of how communicative they are, fair on pricing, easy to schedule with, and just downright Super friendly, I basically avoid the dealership at all costs now. I had my car serviced with them as I have done for the last 10 years. My car is 17 years old so they checked everything and found various items that needed attention. They were very helpful in recommending the essential repairs that were needed and skipping the ones that were less significant. I find them very reliable, extremely knowledgeable about Volvo cars, very kind, friendly and helpful.

Bought a used xc90 and made the trip to boulder to have them give it a once over. They were amazing and gave me a detailed list of needed repairs. They did everything in the time quoted as they knew I was coming from out of state. It was awesome to talk about Volvos, learn about them and know that the guys all owned them as well. Looking forward to them tackling the repairs as we work down the list. Can t wait for my next visit for service!

I drive an old volvo and there's no one else I would trust with my car! Brett has fit me in during busy weeks without an appointment, and has consistently gone above and beyond to help me out. Incredible quality of work and very affordably priced. I always look forward to coming in. All the staff are incredibly kind and the wonderful to be around. Not to mention beans the the pug who is such a comfort while nervously waiting for diagnostics!! If you drive a volvo you shouldn't go anywhere else.

If you own a Volvo, there is no one better. The team there is incredible, knowledgable, and genuinely want to help you. Never once have I felt pressured to buy a part I didn't feel I needed, nor have I felt that their service on my 1996 850 was lacking in any way shape or form. The turn around was quick, and I had my car back within 24 hours. As a student I often don't have time to work on my car, and even more often lack the tools I need to do it safely and properly. Thankfully, Swedish Motors are here.Seriously, if you want exceptional care for your Volvo, come here.I can't speak to their Saab or Subaru service, but I am sure it is just as good due to the professionalism I have experienced.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Oil change

Great service! I came in an hour ahead of my appointment time (which I was able to make the day of) and they were able to take me right away. Took them 20 minutes to fix a drivers side light bulb and check my tire pressure and oil quality. They reported back to me right away in clear terms what they looked at/fixed and when I should think about getting an oil change in the future. This place is great! I will be coming back here again and again to get my car fixed! Thank You Swedish Motors!Services: Tires, Electrical

I love love love Swedish Motors! They always go above and beyond and their service is genuinely kind. One can tell that it s a great place to work. Their work is top-notch. Recently I had a newer Volvo with a warranty, meaning I did most all repairs at the dealer. I truly missed Swedish Motors. Absolutely Amazing!!! I could not recommend Swedish Motors enough! I had the best experience of lifetime getting my Volvo serviced at Swedish Motors. Extremely friendly service, honest, fair and an enjoyable experince is how I can describe Swedish Motors! A young man, Bradley, helped me more than I could have ever imagined and did an impeccable job working on my Volvo. Bret, a gentleman I spoke with knew more than enough about Volvo. If you need service for your Volvo(s), Come to Swedish Motors!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Swedish is simply the best Volvo service in Colorado.I live in Fort Collins, who has their own Volvo specialist, but I always find myself coming back to Swedish. I've not found a comparable level of professionalism anywhere.I've had my CV axle done here, along with a number of other things that I can't quite remember (pretty sure an oil change or two as well!). The prices have been reasonable (hard to do in Boulder if we're being honest), the service was quick as far as autos are concerned, and the people I met while scheduling and waiting were beyond nice.Earlier today (10/14/21) I brought my '96 850 GLT in as it was low on transmission fluid. Brett and Matthew were at the front desk and were quick to top me off without charge. I may just be a naive college student, but I just don't see that happening anywhere else. This is also not the first time they've done that for me. Two years ago, the same issue came up and while they did charge me, they let me pay them back the next day. And it wasn't even much, something in the realm of $10-15.I have endless praise for this business and the people that work there. If you have a Volvo, of any kind, these guys should be the first people you call. And there's almost always a cool Volvo you can gawk at when you bring yours in. Or maybe that's just me...

Had an oil filter housing replaced. The team at Swedish Motors, also, found a cracked radiator hose assembly that if it had failed could have ruined the engine. The oil filter housing replacement had been quoted several months prior. Swedish Motors realized that quote was incorrect and too high. They corrected that to a lower price. Don t hear of companies doing that! And, they reduced the cost of the radiator hose assembly replacement since other work being done already had parts off to allow the easy access. Overall, very happy with Swedish Motors!Service: Oil change

Expert, knowledgeable, fast, friendly. This is my car s primary care physician. Only once, recently, did I take her somewhere else, a local Volvo dealership. What a mistake! The dealer charged a lot of money to fix nothing. Learned my lesson and will remain true to Swedish Motors forever more!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Brake service & repair, Oil changeServices: Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Top people, super helpful and fair pricing. Keep me running at 150k miles and counting. Even went it for a small part and they didn t charge me. Love the way they give you options and timescales, might last another 50k miles so I d probably leave it until you need something else. Common sense!! Wouldn t take my Volvo anywhere else.

I have been taking my Volvo to this mechanic for nearly 8 years now and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Over the years we have had a lot car experiences together and they have never been anything but amazing!Once they made a mistake where a sensor got crushed during a timing belt change...After coming back several times with a Check Engine light they realized their mistake and were HONEST about it. They even refunded some of my money and gave me a coupon for an oil change. I will never forget that, it blew my mind to have an honest mechanic. They always allowed me to sit and wait for an oil change which never took more than an hour.Their prices are very reasonable. Volvos can be expensive to work on, but Swedish is definitely priced competitively, especially compared to the dealers who will charge you and arm and a leg and lie to you (I actually had the head mechanic at THE Boulder area Volvo dealer tell me I needed to replace my rear brake pads that had been replaced 2 weeks prior, ha!).I recommend this to anyone and everyone who owns a Volvo. If they serviced other cars I would recommend everyone I know to go here. Definitely check it out and give them a try! If you can, ask for Tom in particular; I consider him my car's dad! :)

The team at Swedish Motors has no equal! Regardless of what I bring my S60 in for, they're professional, honest, thorough in the work, fairly-priced, and quick. As a customer who's been bringing in my car for one year, they treat me as if I'd been seeing them for 10. I know I'm in good hands when I drop it off and trust the team 100%.Services: Brakes, Brake service & repairServices: Brakes, Brake service & repair

My car had so much wrong with it I could probably just buy a new car with how much full repairs would have been. But since my plan is to buy a van or a bus soon and I just need my car to last a couple more years, Brett was very helpful in letting me know the things I needed to get done to make my car last that long. It s not worth much internally or cosmetically and I knew that. I just wanted the bare minimum. I really appreciated their honesty and integrity. As a woman, I always enter auto shops prepared for someone to try to swindle me out of money by telling me I need xyz because how would I know?My bill was still $900+ but full repairs would have been $2,000+. And the majority of the cost was labor which you can t get mad at.. I bought a Volvo for crying out loud and there s a reason the labor is worth so much: if I could do it myself I would. But I can t. So I was thankful to give my money to trustworthy people.I expected to be there all day but they finished in a could hours and I got to enjoy my day off! Highly recommend these dudes. Matt/Mac (sorry) at the front desk was super nice and the guy working on my car always walked back inside with a smile. Can t forget to mention Beans. The adorable pug that is there sometimes. She s precious and makes waiting for your car (and the bill) so much better.Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

I knew I was being told the truth about every detail that needed to be tended too. They took care of My 2007 Volvo like I had dropped off a child you trust and hope will be in excellent hands. Their passion in automotive mechanics shines. In addition, they charge honest prices and you can be sure you are not being taken advantage of as I was concerned about being a woman that doesn't have much knowledge of what is truly required to be repaired. Thank you!!! I will always be coming to Swedish Motors!Services: Electrical repair, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Transmission repair, Oil change

I brought in my 2004 V70 because the check engine light came on and I needed a check-up for the car. A thorough check-up was fine. The engine light was because I needed radiator but no Problem otherwise. Oil was changed , air in tires and a recommendation for a new timing belt which has never been done on the car. I felt well taken care of for the price of an oil change.2022: time for air conditioning checkup. Done, along with oil changed, tires filled with air, check for possible warning signal problem and 20 point evaluation.October, 22:New struts, brake fluid flush, steering squeak when turning steering wheel, and front wheel alignment. Repairs done within estimated costs and car driving well. I love my 18 year old stick shift V70 wagon and Swedish Motors will keep her going . There is no one else I trust working on my Volvo. They will always tell you the recommended services from the manufacturer, but then let you know what is crucial and what is not. They are always willing to check out my car before road trips to make sure everything is in working order and ready to go!
