Excellent customer service, with incredible attention to detail. I felt comfortable leaving my much loved Corvette there for extended service. Communication was excellent, and any hiccup that came up, which is common in a car as old as mine as some parts are getting harder to find, was clearly explained. Don't hesitate to go to Slipstream.

Absolutely the best! Bill and Ken know how to fix everything, are trustworthy and reliable, get you in and out quickly. Been taking our cars to them for 30 years. Our VW van is now 22 years old and they keep it running and help us with the occasional, inevitable challenges for a vehicle this age, which somehow seem to be the night before we leave or while we re on the road. Besides keeping our cars in good repair for regular use, Bill has saved more than a few big adventures for us.

I was having a squeaking noise when I reversed, thought it was the brakes. I took my car to Big O and they said I needed front brake pads and a number of other maintenance things for a total of $3300! I didn t do any repairs and took my car to Slipstream from the advice of a friend. I told them about my squeaking noise and left my car with them. A couple of hours later they called me and said my back brakes are really worn which was causing the noise. I asked how my front brakes were and they said I had a long way to on them before being replaced. They replaced my brakes and disks and did an oil change. Slipstream Autocare worked on our car when we were stranded far from home. They squeezed us in and fixed our Vanagon and we were able to take it for the rest of our trip and back across the country. I've used slipstream for many years and sent alot of work their way. They perform great work However their quote for a basic brake job on my Dodge neon was double what other repair shops wanted. $1068.60 is price gouging. I had several bids and was able to get out the door at another place for $575.00 They did however get me back on the road and unseized my brakes.

The folks here are so incredibly kind and helpful. I had brought my old car to them for a repair, and they gave me a very rational explanation on whether I should go forward with the repair or give up on the car with no pressure. It made me feel very comfortable with the advice they were giving me, so much so that I have become loyal to this shop. I highly recommend Slipstream and their team

HONEST people, informative, and helpful.My front passenger brake was squeaking so I took my Alltrack to VW. They said they couldn t find anything wrong but VW wanted to charge me $1,700 to replace all brakes and rotors even though the brake pad measurements weren t low,Bill from Slipstream looked and found one of my inner pads had come off and it was metal on metal. So I got new pads and rotors on my front wheels. $600.Seriously a truly honest, caring, hardworking mechanic.Services: Tires, Auto brake repair, Brakes, Wiper blade installation, Auto brake replacement

Most honest mechanic in Boulder!Ken was able to take me right away when I called and told him about the noise that I was hearing in my car other companies wanted to charge me $40-$60 just to listen to the sound I was hearing and he did it for me with no charge due to his first time customer policy. He was able to identify what was going on and called me within a two hour period about what needed to get done. He was very straightforward and reasonably priced! I was very pleased with his the service.

2) Second time visiting Slipstream with an old 2000 Audi S4. Needed new ignition control modules and plugs after a fault code on cylinder #4. All good now. Great service.1) The good folks at Slipstream performed a few repairs on my son s old 2000 Audi S4. Rear wheel bearing, serpentine belt tensioner and exhaust flexpipe/downpipe. Thanks Bill and team. The first time I came to Slipstream, I was looking for a new auto service company due to a new move. In the past I had gone to dealerships to get my car serviced but always felt like a number rather than a customer with specific needs. I was impressed with Slipstream because they specialize in foreign vehicles and I have a Volkswagen. I was also assured because they have been operating in Boulder for decades. The response for setting up appointments was very quick and the service time was even quicker. They drove my car and looked over many details apart from completing my standard oil change. They were able to make very important suggestions for services that I otherwise would have let slip through the cracks costing me a lot more money and problems later on down the road. You can tell they have a lot of knowledge and integrity with their work and they really understand vehicles. I am planning to make them my go to auto care business as long as I am in Boulder.Services: Brakes, Oil change

Slipstream owner Bill is always a good listener and respectful. He and his employee Gunther do excellent work. Even on a minor item to adjust tire pressure for a better ride, as well as major repairs. They take the time to find a solution. They have integrity. I am grateful to them for the excellent care they give my Audi.

In a world of ever-increasing dominance by megacorporations, it's so refreshing to deal with businesses run by kind, honest and real people.My experience with Slipstream Autocare has been absolutely perfect so far. Everyone I've interacted with has been so very welcoming, perfectly transparent about prices and work, and done their best to minimize the costs for me and check in re optional work. These guys have been around since 1981 that is incredibly rare. And they have a family type relationship with all of their customers. I m very impressed by the quality of work. If you need car repairs on any make or model call these guys. You will be just as impressed as I am!

Slipstream is awesome!! Starting with when I call and explain my issue, they are able to fit me in right away. Often I can t get there during regular business hours so they are incredibly accommodating with me leaving my car for a few days and working out the logistics. They always call with a diagnosis and explain everything in a way that I can understand. Often I have a lot of questions and they always take their time to explain things thoroughly. I definitely don t feel like I am being nickel and dimed here. Lastly, Slipstream looks after the person/family and not just the car. I have an older car that may need an expensive fix and Bill let me know that the fix may not be worth it, but that we could discuss my options, he could preform a pre purchase exam on a new car, go ahead and make the fix, etc if I wanted to. I truly feel I am being treated incredibly well here, and thus have recommended others go here as well. This sounds kinda crazy, but we've been going to Slipstream since Gramma's car needed a brake job nearly 30 years ago. An Audi, a couple Mustangs, and a Mazda have received excellent care over the years. Easy going and nice, knowledgeable people - communication is always clear and detailed on the current service or repairs as well as what to expect in the future. We'd recommend Bill and the crew at Slipstream without reservation.

We have been taking multiple cars to Slipstream for more than 20 years. I trust Bill unconditionally with his advice on repairs and service and have never had an instance where I felt Slipstream misdiagnosed or did not produce excellent service. A wonderful local business.

I've been bringing my Audi A6 into Slipstream for the past 10 years, upon a recommendation by a co-worker. I had been going to the dealership for repair/maintenance, but found that Slipstream was more cost effective, and I prefer the smaller shop: it is locally owned (Bill is a great guy!), and the mechanics are all very honest and down to earth....they actually show me the exact issue on my car so I understand what the problem is (and I have had a LOT of car problems). If I can wait on a repair, they tell me. They're not just out to make a buck. HIGHLY recommend this place.
