I took my truck in for some repairs that exceeded my skill level and they took care of it quickly. They're cool people, too! Any problems I have with a vehicle in the future that I cannot repair myself will be taken care of at Glenwood Automotive! Thanks!

Found this gem of a shop from reviews of other parents from CU Boulder. Took my daughters car here after another shop in town had performed bad work on a transmission flush and would not honor their services and tried to charge us more than double the price.Took the car to the shop and Larry the owner quoted less than 1/2 the price, did great work and got it completed the same day. After the car was finished he came out and talked to my daughter one on one instead of talking down to her like some of the other shops had done. He explained what was done, actually took money off the bill and explained to come back for any further issues and he would cover the work. His staff is also very friendly and informative. Highly recommended!

My Ford Fusion had a whole series of check engine lights come on and power steering failure. It was towed to the Ford dealer. The Ford dealer diagnosed it (at a cost of $360) and would waived that fee if I fixed it there. To fix it, the Ford dealer wanted over $4000. Plus the Ford dealer told me the car wouldn't be repaired for 3 months! I had a bad feeling about the Ford dealer, so decided to have it towed to Glenwood Automotive.Long story short, Glenwood Automotive diagnosed it correctly (which in my case was 3 worn wires that had worn through and broke due to the Ford dealer's poor work on a recall the car had previously).Glenwood fixed my car for $380 the same day. The Ford dealer just used a diagnostic computer to diagnose it and then throw parts at it; instead of finding out what actually was wrong with the car.Thank You Glenwood Automotive for your honesty and exceptional knowledge.Another benefit of Glenwood Automotive is you can talk with your mechanic. Our tow behind vehicle conked out on us as we were passing through Bolder. We had the incredible good fortune to find Steve at Glenwood Automotive. If you have lost faith in mechanics or humanity, you have not met Steve. Despite having jobs booked out for weeks, he assessed the car first thing Monday morning and gave us the ugly truth ( another mechanic was willing to replace the engine...for $8,000). He then helped us find a buyer and arranged for pick up, even helped negotiate a better price. You will not find a more kind or trustworthy man! And, he's got fairly good jokes

This auto repair shop is one of the very best in the Boulder Area. I have had three different vehicles repaired here and each job was top notch. What is unusual about this place is the people are honest, capable and trustworthy, something rare in today's world. I cannot recommend it high enough. The manager, Steve, will help you determine what you need to do without trying to talk you into unneeded repairs and the work that is done will be excellent and reasonably priced. Jim Gagen

They agreed to rebuild my front breaks using my parts for their shop rate at 3.4 hours. They called me and said that they needed brake pads and said it wasn't a problem and they would get them locally for me. I agreed. When I went to pick up my van I was presented with a bill for $128 for the brake pads. I checked local prices on google and found their price was anything from 2 to 5 times what pads cost. So I felt they were gouging me on the price. Then they wanted to tack on another $20 for what they called shop costs. They agreed on a compromise for the cost of the brake pads. They came down to $79 for the pads which was the most expensive they could find on a list of locally available pads I had printed out and brought in with me. It ended up costing me about $100 more than their original quote. I do not feel that this was unreasonable but do feel that they tried to gouge me on the cost of the brake pads and could have told me in advance about their additional shop costs. I confronted them on this and it was unpleasant. The unpleasantness was probably partly my fault. But I wouldn t feel comfortable using their shop again.

I'm visiting Boulder from Georgia. I picked Glenwood just because they're about a block from my rented apt.I was treated very well here. They looked at the issue with my car, called back within about an hour, explained what was going on, why it wasn't a problem for my return trip, and what I should probably do long-term after I get home. They also did an oil change (I requested) and changed an air filter. There were no additional charges and no surprises.Someone less honest could easily have sold me services I didn't need. It was nice to be treated honestly.I probably won't ever need auto service here in Boulder again, but if I did, they'd be at the top of my list.

Surprised I hadn t reviewed this business before as they have been my go to Car Mechanics since 2014Family/locally owned and Larry and Steve are always honest with us. My wife also doesn t feel intimidated talking to them as a lot of mechanics can be.Couldn t recommend Glenwood Automotive enough!

I can t recommend them enough!!! They truly care here and are beyond trustworthy! Steve has gone above and beyond helping me understand my vehicles needs and feeling comfortable! I will always be taking my vehicle here they are great!!!

The very best, and most honest, auto care, auto service, auto repair around! Larry and his crew have been servicing my autos for more than 20 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else, even under dealer warranty. I will also seek consultation here before buying another.

We rely on our truck to pull out travel trailer, which we live in full-time, and we have been and will ONLY be taking it to Larry at Glenwood. Honest, fair, and transparent!
