Kirby's Hitch was recommended by Ft. Collins Nissan to install a wiring harness for a brake controller. The vehicle is a 2024 Pathfinder and the exact location of the brake controller adapter was not readily visible, nor could the Service Department at Nissan provided specific information to it's location.Glenn, the owner of Kirby's Hitch, was very diligent and thorough in his efforts to locate the proper connection for the brake controller, investing at least 2 hrs of his time to complete the task. Because this was a 2024, the dealership was not very helpful in directing the exact location of this connection and it was only through Glen's determination and efforts that the job was completed.Additionally, Charles, the office manager, was cordial and conversational which made this entire transaction very pleasant. I sincerely appreciated his demeanor and friendliness and left there feeling as through I had made new "friend."I would highly recommend Kirby's Hitch & Wiring if you require services of this kind for repair or installation of trailer needs.Sincerely,R.Amacci

Worst trailer shop in loveland with paid them $800 cash to fix lights and brakes on my trailer picked it up the brakes didn't work at all and half of the light still didn't work will never use them again worst customer service below are photos of the "quality" work they do. No heat shrink or neatness just electrical tape and things left loose. When i went to unplug the trailer the plug stayed in the truck while the wires pulled right out. Now im out 800 bucks and have to do the work myself because they refused to fix it or make it right. Run as far away from them as you can.

Glenn is a god send!My trailer literally fell apart in front of his shop luckily.We were on our way to a family camping trip in Utah and my tire fell off my trailer. He ran out and quickly got to work on fixing the lug nuts and replacing the tire. I m very very thankful!!!! You guys are awesome!

I got a trailer hitch added to my Rogue this fall, and Kirby s quoted a price and let me know my options regarding the timeline for getting it done. I got a quote elsewhere, and the price was similar. I went with Kirby s because the reviews were better, and I like small businesses.When I actually had the hitch installed, they alerted me to another possible issue as a courtesy but did not pressure me into buying anything or even getting the work done with them. And then, when I went to pay, they told me to make the check for $100 LESS than they d quoted me! They said the wiring went faster than anticipated and so the install was not as expensive. They could have easily stuck to the quoted price and made an extra hundred bucks, but instead they were upfront and honest. Very refreshing!I m pleased with the work and used the hitch to haul a trailer from CO to TN with no issues. I d recommend them to anyone needing hitch installation for sure!

Hands down the BEST customer service and repair around!! We were stranded after loosing a wheel and hub on our living quarters horse trailer on the way to Montana. Two other repair places wouldn t even look at the problem .. Harry and his team jumped to the challenge and had us back on the road the same day!!!

This company added a trailer hitch and power brake controller on our 2023 Kia Sorento. Kia wouldn t put a dealer hitch on due to a chip recall, but Kirby s said they could do it. They installed it and it looks great. A couple small wiring issues that got resolved and it works as promised. Great job and great people.

Had a great experience with Kirby's Hitch & Wiring. I needed a hitch installed in my car as soon as possible and they were they only shop willing to fit me into their busy schedule. During installation they realized I was sold the wrong size hitch from the dealership and luckily they had the right size and saved the day not once but twice! I am extremely grateful for their service and help. Angel was extremely helpful from the moment I called and I appreciated them explaining to me what happened with the install throughout the process. They did a great job and I definitely recommend them for affordable quality work in a timely manner.

Went there today unexpectedly. My hitch wiring wasn't working and we needed it fixed. The team worked together and got me fixed up. I appreciate their old schol customer service. I recommed this place for great work and home town feel.

Took the work truck in last week for a wiring issue between the truck and trailer. Our regular mechanic didn't want to touch it. Called Harry, he said bring it in let's look at it. They diagnosed the problem, fixed it and wired a new plug in about an hour. Made a future appt for the truck topper to get the high stop light wired up..that was today. They had it wired up real nice and I was out the door in 30minutes! I've made another appt for them to add reverse lights to our landscape trailer and finally will take the truck back to have them wire the connection for our new truck camper. These guys do it all and they are pros. They don't mess around, just get the problem fixed and send me on my way happy! If you need wiring work done this is the shop to call. Thanks guys, appreciate your help and I love having working lights on our equipment ! I even gave their card to my mechanic!!

Kirby's not only does trailer hitches but they also can weld a broken patio chair. Who knew they were diverse. If something needs welding give them a call. Easy to get to and the boss is pretty darn nice. Also if you want eggs they sell fresh eggs. Who knew

This crew was awesome and totally saved my day. About to head out of town towing our airstream only to realize the night before my trailer brakes didn't work. Called 7 places who were either booked days out or simply didn't answer their phones. Angel answered, was a joy to speak with and got me in within a few hours. Work went late and I showed up 1.5 hours late, but they jumped on it literally the moment I drove up. Fixed in 30 minutes and got me back on the road in working order, and even fixed up my hookup plate so it was way more secure which I didn't ask for. Above and beyond customer service, great price. Overall solid experience, highly recommend Kirby's!

We had a hitch put on with Kirby s and I feel 1 star is being generous. They cut the bumper poorly. It looks like a kid did it with scissors. And the wiring was put inside the vehicle so it s not usable without feeding wires under the back door. It s a very unprofessional job. When I questioned the owner he admitted his kid did the work and really didn t know what he was doing. But he still refused to make it right or refund any money. I would NOT recommend this shop. Look elsewhere

I had a hitch installed on a 2017 Subaru Imprezza, along with wiring. When I called and asked for a quote, they said they'd need to do some research, as this was a new model year for this car and I had the hatchback, so that required different wiring due to the fact that the turn signal lights are on the rear quarter panel and brake lights are on the hatch. I received a call back in a few hours with a price, it was acceptable to and they knew what they were talking about for the wiring. Installation went without a problem, when I went to pay, the cost was actually less than what I was quoted. I would recommend Kirby's to anyone who asks me for someone to do a hitch install or wiring. I'm extremely happy with their work!

Run don t walk away from this place. Harry wanted to charge me almost $3k for work and parts worth half that. When I politely declined to have everything fixed he listed (inflation much?) he proceeded to get very angry with me. I then called to pay my bill over the phone with credit card and while speaking with a nice woman that works there he grabbed the phone from her and yelled and me and said I had to bring cash. This business and his behavior is extremely unprofessional. How they are still in business I don t know. I took my trailer there because a colleague had his worked on there several years ago. Obviously Harry does Not care about how he treats his customers or his staff. I wish I had read the reviewers here and on YELP before going there.

I called about a month before my scheduled appointment for a hitch installation. I told the owner I would be bringing my own hitch and wiring package. He told me that he would call someone to make sure that the wiring package was the correct one for my vehicle. He also told me that he would call me back if it was an issue and that if I did not hear back... we were good to go. I did not hear back and so I believed we were "good to go". I just picked up the car. The wiring package was not correct. He charged me $50 to try to install an incorrect wiring package! I told him that I was extremely disappointed that he did not follow through with determining if the wiring was correct when he said he would. He went on and on about how busy he is. I DO NOT CARE! That should have nothing to do with me! He could have very well even called right then to verify it but NO. HE DECIDES TO CHARGE ME TO TRY TO INSTALL THE WRONG WIRING KIT??!! Are you kidding me?! I am so very upset! I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone and I will never go back!

Highly recommend, very professional! They were able to get me in and fix my problem of a truck. I had to get my truck rewired and a new plug. They were able to get it done in time for my trip and they were affordable. Again great appreciation and thanks for getting it done.

This place was great. Called to have some welding done on my axle and what he quoted is what I paid. Even though they were super busy he completed my work extremely fast and had very professional welds. Last the owner measured at least 5 times to make shure it was perfect. I will use them in the future.

I needed a 5th wheel hitch and rails mounted in my truck. Every single place I called couldn't get me in until late August or middle of September. I needed this done asap. They got me in and out in under 4 hours. These guys are the best. And especially Sergie dude was awesome. I would recommend this place to everyone I know needs this kind of work done.

Avoid Avoid Avoid! When I picked up my truck the price had gone up over two times the original bid. When I asked why I was told there was more work than quoted. When I asked why I was not called to authorize the additional work I was told it was not that big of a deal. To me an additional $500 is a big deal. When I refused to except this I was told to go get cash if I wanted my truck back. I should have check their reviews prior to dropping off my truck. In addition to the charges the work I wanted done was not finished.

Treated me very fairly ! Service work was even a little cheaper than original quote. Was concerned because of the negative feedbacks but we all have to realize that people often only complain and Don't take the time to give positive reviews. This place was highly recommended by an auto parts parts store up the road. service recieved was installation of brake control and troubleshooting / crossed wires in my adapter on my horse trailer. $40 total bill. They also took time to teach me and inform me. Plus other places quotes were $100 an hour and I was told it would take at least an hour.

Must read review!!!This guy held my trailer for 2.5 months with the excuse that parts aren t available. He made me pay $1k cash to release trailer. I literally made ONE call and found parts at a local trailer parts store. He installed a hitch coupler which literally bent on the first turn we made, and Jerry-rigged a wiring harness he said he would fix.

I just called trying to get my hitch functional again so I can move across the country, the guy who picked up the phone was immediately short with me, rude, and very condescending. The dude made it very clear that I have no brain due to the fact that I am a woman. Incredibly rude, I cannot believe anyone would give them their business.

Had several really good interactions with the folks. Had them install a hitch on my S10. It came back with a good install. Then today I went in to get the nut on a new ball tightened.. a ball that I bought elsewhere, and they did the work at no charge. I ended up giving the mechanic I dealt with enough to get a beer after work. Just the kind of people I like.

Call for a simple price quote on $30 witing harness and was told that my car has to have a $250 instalation. I have a factory engineered hook up in my truck that requires me to plug in the wire and I am good to go. Besides the fact that the person doesn't know much about his job, I wasn't even able to get the price of the wiring harness I needed. Go else where.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE...!!! I called to get a quote on my car for a trailer hitch and wiring, was told my car was different and it had to have special wiring run from the battery under the hood all the way to the back which was gonna cost a lot in labor.. 30 seconds on YouTube I found my car has a built in master plug in the rear to connect the harness directly into with NO extra stuff involved! Went to the dealer for parts and got everything at half the cost and did it myself!

This guy BUTCHERED my brand new VW Touareg with his attempted install of a trailer hitch. Fender flares and bumper are broken, and he couldn't even assemble the tail lights properly. He charged me over $500 for the install, yet created over $1,000 in damage to my vehicle!! The owner has refused to contact me to make the situation right, therefor my bank is disputing the charge and I am left with taking him to court. If you care about your vehicle, then STAY AWAY FROM KIRBY'S HITCH!!! They will do nothing but destroy your vehicle.

Great people to work with! We bought a used travel trailer that needed some help. Bearings, brakes and tires were definately needed before our long distance trip.Fast and fair service was provided by the crew. Definately would reccomend.
