Amazing. The resort is beautiful and the views breathtaking but what really shines is the staff. They are all wonderful. The minute I got here they made me feel at home. Everyone from the valet, check in, club lounge staff, wait staff, housekeeping, etc. The treatment you will get at this resort is above and beyond. Thank you everyone at the resort for taking such good care of me I ll remember it always. I can t wait to come back. You all are simply amazing.

The Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch offers a delightful blend of cozy elegance, spacious accommodations, and exceptional service, making it a standout choice for a luxurious mountain getaway. From the moment you step into the lobby, you're greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance that sets the tone for a truly memorable stay. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed with all the comforts and amenities you could desire, providing a perfect retreat after a day on the slopes. And speaking of skiing, the hotel's proximity to the chair lift is simply unbeatable just a stone's throw away, allowing guests to hit the slopes within minutes. It's a ski-in, ski-out experience that's hard to beat. One of the highlights of the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch is undoubtedly its friendly and accommodating staff, who go above and beyond to ensure every guest feels pampered and well taken care of. Whether it's arranging dinner reservations or providing insider tips on the best runs, they're always there to assist with a smile. However, it's worth noting that during peak hours, the lobby, bar, and restaurant area can become quite crowded, detracting slightly from the otherwise serene atmosphere. Finding a quiet corner to relax and unwind may require a bit of patience during these times.Additionally, there was a slight hiccup during our stay involving the cigar shop's designated smoking area. Despite being directed there by staff, we were later informed that smoking was not permitted, leading to a somewhat awkward situation. While this was a rare misstep in an otherwise flawless experience, it's worth mentioning to ensure future guests are aware.Overall, the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch offers a truly exceptional mountain retreat, combining unparalleled convenience with top-notch service and luxurious accommodations. It's a destination that's sure to leave a lasting impression, despite the occasional minor inconvenience.Rooms: Very well appointed and spacious as wellNearby activities: We were only there for skiing, but it s pretty phenomenal for thatWalkability: Great location to the chairlift. 2 minute walk. Literally.

I have never in my life had to write a review like this. Especially for a place that myself and my family have always held in such high esteem. Let me preface this with stating that we have been lifelong Ritz-Carlton fans. So this is rather heart breaking to write. My husband and I came to celebrate our anniversary. He purchased my anniversary gift from the shop. It was a special black fleece jacket with a double black and gold zipper. We then wrapped up our time there and came back to FL. Where we live. It hadn't been super cold. So I had no need to wear jacket. Finally a cold day. I pick it up put it on and go to zip it up. The zipper falls off in my hand. I called and reported this. After 6 phone calls and 5 emails still no call back on when I would be receiving new one. Then I called yet again. Manager on duty tells me they said NO to sending me a new one. They then credited card for 200. I will share. I find this absolutely ridiculous. I mean. This is the Ritz-Carlton. There entire creed states that they will always see to providing the best of the best. To say this was handled poorly is a vast understatement. I 1) never had a call returned 2) after the first time never had an email returned 3) when I was told I would have a new one and then I called back to find out no...I would not no one called the date that they were supposed to have done so by. Again- We did receive a credit. But. The fact that they refused to send me a new jacket when theirs was faulty BLOWS ME AWAY. and the fact that they handled this with such blatant disregard and frankly condescension is reprehensible. So disappointing. So much for a world-class brand.

The spas experience was amazing. This feedback is not for the spa but for the bar. We are not complainers, in fact I ve never left a bad review anywhere, but we need the Ritz to know we had the worst dining experience ever, truly ever.We went to the bar after our incredible spa experience, relaxed and happy. And Jerry managed to ruin our entire experience at the Ritz.I worked in Vail for years and understand the stressors and clientele, but our service or lack there of by Jerry was awful. We waited patiently and finally tried to get his attention, we let him know we were in no hurry but wanted to know if we should order with him and ask what the process was. He left us, the rest of the bar cleared out & refilled and then he proceeded to serve everyone else and completely ignore us. We tried to flag him down again, he came over and angrily said I ll be right with you. We said ok. He walked away again for another 10mins. We flagged him again and asked if we could order with him, he said give me a minute, he then came back leaned over the bar and gets right in my partners face and full of vitriol says WHAT CAN I GET YOU .He then left without taking an order and sent a bar back to take our order. I have never ever been treated with so much disrespect and disdain when we tried to be patient the entire time. The experience at the bar ruined our entire impression of the Ritz. There are plenty of amazing hotels throughout the valley, and we will not choose the Ritz again. And we will share this with all of the guests we host here and all of our friends that frequent the valley regularly. As stated, I worked here for years, in the service industry, and I am appalled at the treatment we received today.

We have been here all of two hours and it s already first class all the way. One of the best properties eve! From the valets dressed as cowboys to the check-in to the club lounge with Alex and team - this place is superb. The welcome gift for our anniversary celebration was not asked for but absolutely a welcomed touch! Bravo Ritz! Can t wait to see what s in store for the long weekendRooms: Rooms are amazing! I read there was a recent renovation and our room is super luxurious with a rustic feel. Club lounge food and wine is great for the price.

We came to Ritz Carlton at Bachelor Gulch for family Thanksgiving holiday. We really enjoyed our stay here & the entire staff is amazing with immaculate service & attention to details. In particular, would like to mention Julio Tapia from the front desk who has added to the delight! His prompt assistance, customer engagement & attitude is outstanding. Also the entire F&B team led by Parker, valet car team, concierge, housekeeping are all wonderful people!Recommend Ritz highly & we shall definitely make another trip here sometime soon.

This used to be a 5 star hotel but current management is killing this grand dame. Prices are getting outrageous, service is non existent (took 50 minutes to get our nachos and no silverware or napkins or water refills). Sakaba is laughingly expensive ($300 per person for a non Michelin star restaurant). I had talked to the last GM regarding their issues and based on experience this season I don t think he took me seriously. We stayed there the day it opened and over a dozen times since, but no more, we are heading to the Four Seasons in Vail. @americanexpress - pay attention, they do not belong on your fine hotels list any longer.

I once regularly used the Ritz Carlton as the example for companies delivering world class service. Guess those were the good ole days . Seems they have lowered their standards to look and feel more like the Courtyard by Marriott. My family is now on hour 6 waiting for just 1 of our 2 rooms to be ready. Wouldn t be so bad, but 2 of our kids got ill on the plane ride here and the front desk staff told us they would have housekeeping work on it ASAP. Currently stuck in their lounge/ lobby making other guests endure the sights and sounds of sick children- Great work!!

The extremely loud club music after skiing is obnoxious and can be heard in the entire valley and inside the hotel. The property goes downhill yet gets more expensive every year. Lots of things are done to the benefit of the hotel owner but to the detriment of guests. This property used to be a flagship destination for skiing. It s a real bummer to watch the decline year after year.

One of the craziest things that has ever happened to me happened at the Ritz Carlton bar. I believe I was unknowingly talking to a high class escort who became irritated that I was not understanding or willing to do business. After talking for about 30 minutes About everything from skiing to our children, my cousin and I are told we are cut off. Really nuts because neither one of us were intoxicated. This woman, Nicole, apparently complained to the staff about the two of us and must have made some horrible accusations. The staff would not explain to neither of us. Did they know? Were they in on it? Absolutely 100% insane. Needless to say, we will NEVER visit that place again. BEWARE.

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights during our summer trip in the Rocky Mountain area. This is definitely one of the best Ritz Carlton I have been to in North American. We thoroughly enjoyed the top-notch service, awesome club lounge, excellent food offerings and the steam room at the spa. We wish we'd have stayed here for a few more days, and we are already planning to come back next year!

I recently stayed at the Ritz Bachelor Gulch and unfortunately had a highly disappointing experience. The hotel was severely understaffed, leading to long wait times and poor service overall. From check-in to dining experiences, the lack of sufficient staff was palpable, resulting in frustration and inconvenience for guests. Additionally, the quality of service provided at the outdoor terrace fell far below the standards expected of a luxury establishment like the Ritz. Overall, my stay was marred by inefficiency and subpar service, leaving me deeply disappointed with my experience at the Ritz Bachelor Gulch.

First, I have to mention - the service at the fire side bar outside (Nathan, Anna, and others) and the service provided by SOME of the concierge members (Dustin Arguello) has been impeccable and they deserve 5 stars. That said my stay here has been incredibly disappointing so far outside of those individuals.Where do I start - my wife and I have a 6 month old baby we needed to set up the baby monitor (Nanit) so we could leave the room occasionally. After 48 hours of being promised IT could do and have done it before the less than capable person I had to deal with was unable to set up a subnetwork with a password for us. Leaving my wife and I kinda stranded in our room cause we couldn t keep an eye out during her naps. For a family friendly hotel, this shouldn t be an issue - mind boggling it is.Next let s go with the restaurants: Sakaba the sushi restaurant, Wyld, and Buffalos have been extremely inconsistent and the staff doesn t seem to care. The service has been so bad I cannot even believe it myself. First night after being stranded in the room due to the lack of having a working baby monitor the room service was so busy I decided to go down and get food for us. Waited over 40 minutes at buffalo for cold nachos. We ate at wyld outside and asked to have one of the heaters by our outside table turned on - guy never even bothered to do it. Then I asked the server to come back in a minute as I was still browsing the menu and he never did so I didn t get a chance to order food. When I asked for my check, they never brought it leaving me to go and find the guy and ask again at the server station. Finally we got a family member to watch our baby and went to Sakaba for a date - 2 people over $800 bill and we would have had a better meal at Nozowas down the mountain for less than $200.Overall I m so disappointed in my stay and keep in mind my family has been coming up here for decades. This place has really lost its touch and for a $15,000+ stay I genuinely expected more. My expectations were already low but dang this is bad.Oh and let s not mention the most likely illegal kitchen they have set up by the hallway leading out to the busses that makes the entire lobby smell like fish when Sakaba opens - no hood vents and multiple health-code violations in clear sight.

From start to finish this property and its staff, doesn t disappoint. In the midst of planning my engagement, Melanie, went above and beyond to create memories that will last a life time. The moment we returned on property, greeted by Daniel and his team, we were welcome like royalty. It was the tiny(not so tiny) details, accommodating my gf/fianc by housing us in the same suite where we first stayed during the beginning of our relationship. The night of our engagement, chef and his staff made us feel even more special by wowing us with an amazing meal. Working with Chris, he was able to capture everything we could ve asked and then some for our engagement photos. Every morning, Jerry and everyone else, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great start to our morning. Then we met Erik . Erik, was the absolute cherry on top. Not only was his level of service and conversation great, his small batch wagyu fat washed bourbon was PHENOMENAL. The property, sights, and endless activities speak for themselves, but if it weren t for the staff it wouldn t have been the same. Had this property not been a special place for us already, after our last visit, it is that much more special to Abby and I for the rest of our lives.

The place is beautiful and has great views/location. The food is crazy stupid expensive. I paid $26 for a burnt hamburger with no fries or drink from their outside grill. You expect to pay a little more at a place like this, but that was extreme for something that was worse than I grill at home. Please don't give me a dry, burnt patty if I am paying that much.

We stayed at the Ritz Bachelors Creek as part of the 3 day Elevation Music Event. The location has great views and has had updates since we were here last in 2018. The staff were great and friendly. Negatives were the rooms were very small for the high prices they charge. Also, their bar prices were extremely high. I was shocked when my one Woodford Reserve old fashion cost $62.Rooms: Very small for the price.

Very nice hotel with fantastic views but the bar prices are outrageous. I imagine they do this to keep away the college crowds, $400 for 4 shots of Clase Azul tequila, is insanely overpriced..I don t care how much money you have. Many other spots to try around the mountain. Don t waste your time or $ here.

I love it. I love the miner mineral wrap massage - the most luxurious massage experience. Mandlyn was amazing. Such kindness, care, grace and hospitality. I like all three restaurants. I like the Japanese restaurant the most. Uni and otoro and black cod are my favorite. WYLD is second. Baffolo third. Beautiful resort, indoor and outdoor. I love that ski is in the hotel. I enjoy the spa and ski shops and very friendly staff.

Great hospitality, great food, great location for skiing/snowboarding.A particular highlight at Buffalos was a bartender named Erik. New to Colorado, he was clearly an excellent hire as a super friendly, dedicated expert mixologist. Learning he was from Knoxville, TN I asked for his favorite whiskey cocktail. He delivered a delicious drink perfectly balanced with whiskey, apples, cinnamon, brown sugar (and some other twists) that even my whiskey-averse wife loved. He also provided us with some samples of his other concoctions, including a gin-mezcal cocktail that was equally approachable and delicious. And lastly, he provided a sample of a drink he calls a new-fashioned that again, my whiskey-averse wife thought was tasty.I hope that by the time you visit the Ritz s restaurant Buffalos that Erik s cocktails are staples of the bar menu.

I stayed at the Ritz Carlton bachelors gulch near the end of August 2023. It was the perfect setting for a father-son vacation. The rooms were super clean, the service was amazing, the restaurants are impeccable, the log cabin structure is other worldly. I would absolutely positively recommend the Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch. It was a truly awesome experience. Also, the spa at the resort has all the amenities you could ask for.
