The units are clean, facilities are not in bad shape (other than a destroyed main door that does not stay closed or locked). The company doubled the rent after three months, and tried their best not to refund me when I moved out despite following the contract and letting them know well in advance. Overall - know what you are getting yourself into.

Most of the time, a storage experience is not much to write about. Not this time. I few days ago I flew in to the town in Colorado to pick up a few items from the storage we rented 1/2 year ago. It was Saturday, in a small town in the Rockies. And the code on the main entry door did not work. I run in panic to the Office and was immensely relieved to find that it was manned - more than I could expect on Saturday. The attendant (sorry, I should have asked for her name) left the office, went with me to the building where my unit is located, and showed me what I was doing wrong. That's Service with a big 'S'!

UPDATE: After a month I called and spoke with Jasmine who was amazing. I asked if if there were any units available which I could transfer my items too since I was only using 1/3 of the space. She found a unit close to mine on the same floor and made arrangements for me. When I got there she offered to take me to the unit and show me it's exact location. She was so friendly and provided amazing customer service. When I was done with the transfer she made sure and let me know she was available should I need anything at all. I really like this place. It is super clean, modern, heated and I feel my belongings are safe. Also kind of funny is if I were to bring a friend there with me to grab something I would feel like they would think this place he's got is pretty cool. Final note, I visited the restroom while there and it was clean and fresh too, just to give you and idea of the quality of the facility.Wow! I had much more average expectations for the facility being any average storage facility. So when I got there I found the place was really cool. My unit was so clean and meticulously prepared. There was a really cool security zip lock on the unit letting me know it had been inspected. The place was heated and warm. Honestly I was over impressed with the facility and the inside of the unit was spotless! Also the agent in charge of setting up my contract was super patient while I did the finalization of the CC. She was great too! There is 2 loading docks and everything inside is like polished epoxy painted concrete with no stairs.

Hey! If you're eyeing Extra Space Storage in Avon, I've got good news for you. People rave about their top-notch security with 24/7 surveillance, and the units are super clean. The staff? Super helpful especially Ilce shes always ready to answer any questions and is super polite. Access hours are pretty convenient too, so you can swing by on your own schedule. Definitely worth checking out for your storage needs!

Rented a space for a specific rate, rate was then doubled after a few months without telling me it would change at all. Wouldn t use their space again. Had to walk up stairs to get to it, small doors, poor customer service.

contents of my units are unsafe and insecure given the front door of the building has been pulled off the hinge and is wide open. It has been that way for a least several days that I m aware of and prior to that, the door was often left unlocked because the latch was so out of balance. Your staff has informed me the door replacement will not rectified for quit some time, leaving all the units in that building very vulnerable to theft weather, and destruction.Additionally, I ve found rodent dropping in the units and further evidence of animals chewing threw plastic bins.The storage units are simply not secure and haven t been so for quite some time, therefore I m requesting a refund of my monthly fees.Finally, it is unethical, shows poor faith and is bad business to not notify your clients of the security situation including an explanation and expected date to rectify it.

Raised my rent after the 3rd month from $136 to $167. Caused me a big headache to move into a different company. I guess that s to be expected so factor in a 30% increase when deciding if the price is fair.

I had to find a storage and i found them. I met the most helpful and cordial attendant, Analia. Let me tell you that Analia is the best. She is always so happy and kind to everyone!! She s going to welcome you and speak if she sees you. Property is clean .. great customer service!

Don t have your rent on autopay! They DOUBLED the rent without notifying me. When I saw the charge I called to see if it was a mistake & was told ya, we had a price increase. Apparently they rent month to month so they don t see the point in giving a heads up.

We rented a 5 x 10. We reserved in person and had a first class experience at the extra space in Avon, Colorado. We plan on staying and not leaving this place! Great customer service, explanation of all services, and a very friendly tour!

the remote representative was quite good not and answered my immediate quesstions. The local on site rep was horrific. she could not answer simple dimension questions as well as fabricating a story that we were required to rent a moveable ramp and hand cart. She insisted we had to purchase the insurance at $47 monthly with a limit of $10k pretty much worthless.we have our own insurance already that has a limit much higher at more than half the price. I am in Avon Colorado and was stunned by the attitude and lack of any integrity of the on site person. So my recommendation to all please work with local proprietors. Also confirm how long the rate quoted is locked in for. It is obvious that this industry is not regulated much.Extra Space your superficial interest in satisfying my needs is patronizing.

The first months free promotion is a classic bait and switch, great deal if you only need one month. But then the price goes up. That is a little misleading

First off I want to note that the level of customer service I received from Joel (who I was redirected to at another branch in Co) and Ilce in avon, Co was top notch and I'd rate them at a clean 6 out of five. That being said the reflection of my 4 stars lies primarily with the employees and not the company policies in which the rates that were offered upon my initial quote varied marginally from the actual fee assessed when I visited the office. Again the employees solely have made the experience. Shout out to them

I had the best experience renting a unit from the assistant store manager Ms. Montes. She was so nice showing me the space and how to use the lock. I was in and out of there with my new storage unit in 15 minutes. Thank you!
