After moving to the Denver area and having vehicle issues I had the terrible experience of finding a few bad mechanics before I got lucky and found Mike. He's a fantastic person who will treat you like family. He is incredibly knowledgeable and communicates exceptionally well. I will not be going to another location to service any of my vehicles as long as he is in business since he genuinely cares, and always provides excellent service at an affordable and competitive price. Mike at Novick automotive is the definition of an honest mechanic.

We called Mike with a question about a busted head gasket that we were informed needed to be replaced by an oil change shop. He asked us many questions and based on our situation, informed us the findings were likely normal. And that we probably didn't need the repair at this time. We were extremely impressed by his honesty and integrity. If we do need work done on our vehicle we will definitely call him as he seems very trustworthy!

Mike is an awesome mechanic! He's very honest and fair with pricing and explains everything! Any time I've had concerns about my car, he's been more than willing to check. I feel great knowing I no longer have to search for a mechanic that's honest!

Excellent mechanic! Honest, responsive, detailed, accommodating, affordable, friendly, and most importantly, does great work!I have taken my used 2008 Toyota 4Runner to Mike and his team twice now and have been delighted each time.First - a note on the car - I got this car as a gift and it s pretty much a lemon. Over 200k midwest/Chicago miles on it making it a rust bucket. Rust bore a hole through the transmission causing it to dump all its fluid seizing the transmission - so I had to replace that within a month of getting it (had that work done in Glenwood Springs as that s where the car died) but a host of other issues too.It had never had a full looksie by a trained mechanic so I dropped it off with Novick last year on my way to DEN for Thanksgiving vacation. This worked great for me because (1) it means I wouldn t be without my car / he could work on it while I was away (2) car was ready by the time I flew back (3) didn t have to pay for airport parking - Mike was happy to keep it in his lot without any extra charge while I was away; and (4) Mike even dropped me off at the nearest RTA/A train stop with all my bags so I could catch my flight on time .which saved me the time and cost of getting an Uber and was really just going above and beyond.Mike called me once he had a chance to look at my car and went over exactly what he looked at, what he didn t, and what was wrong with the car. Now, I m not a car person - so what I found really helpful was him taking the time to explain each item to me and what he thought needed fixing and what could go longer / wait for a later date. He also presented me with several options that would allow me to save money on the repairs as well as gave me some tips / answered questions on how to prolong the life of the car and take better care of it. Exceptional service!As for repairs, he did an oil change, tune-up (spark plugs, coil boots, compression check, air cleaner element), new serpentine belt/alternator drive belt, fluids and tire pressure as well as some more major work, including replacing the front axel shaft assembly (shaft, boots and joints), wheel hubs (R&I steering knuckle, bearings, cups, seals), CV driveshaft, resonator and pipe assembly. The muffler had totally rusted off after the catalytic converter which Mike was able to repair/Jerry-rig back together saving me the cost of getting a new tail pipe. The car was also throwing all sorts of EVAP codes - which can be a costly repair - but Mike properly diagnosed it to be from burnt wires that the exhaust from my broken tail pipe had melted. He replaced the wires and EVAP problem solved, again, saving me a bundle of money. The spare tire assembly had also rusted completely solid which he was able to cut off and replace with a part I purchased online, again saving me money. And finally, he replaced the engine and cabin filters with ones I bought from Walmart again saving me money.In addition to all that, he put together a detailed quote on what else needed to be done but that I could hold off on for a little bit longer.7,000 miles later everything is holding up and running great except for my brakes were starting to get squishy and I was overdue for an oil change. So I brought it in, again, timing it with a flight out of town so that I wouldn t be without my car and not have to pay for airport parking while away from town.In addition to the oil change, Mike was able to determine the squishy brakes were caused by a faulty part from the previous work he did on the front axle so he redid everything for free / under warranty, which is awesome. I didn t even have to ask or plead my case - he automatically stands behind his work and does what s right by the customer. He also bent my skid plate back into place (must have gotten caught on something after a bolt rusted off/broke/fell off), rotated tires, did a full inspection and told me about some things to keep my eye on but that I could hold off on. No sales pitch, up-charging, or unnecessary work!For a phenomenal mechanic, pick Novick!

After I made the mistake of taking my car to a dealership to have the ac serviced it wasn't working after that told me the ac compresser was shot. And what they wanted to charge me I said no thanks I found Novack automotive online and from the good reviews explained to him what happen .he checked the ac was over charged he was able to pull the refrigerate out check everything filled it to the correct amount and my ac is working good so far but the compresser was weaken for the other shop so if it holds and gets me through the summer I'll be happy if not he gave me a very reasonable quote for parts and labor with that in mind I'll just drive it but to know he was a good and fair shop ill,definitely come back for repairs and recommend his shop .

Wow! I had the best mechanic experience I have ever had here @ Novicks! I had a check engine light in my car go off at 2pm on a Saturday. I called Mike @ Novicks and he got me in immediately. I have had plenty of terrible experiences with mechanics and it is very rare to find someone you feel you can trust with in seconds of meeting them. Well Mike is VERY trustworthy and he not only assessed my check engine light, he checked all of my belts, listened carefully to my engine and then gave me quotes on all the items I would need down the road! On top of that he taught me more about my car in 20 minutes than I have ever understood before so I could maintain it properly. He easily could have charged me $140 for a diagnostic but he trusted me to bring my vehicle to him when I have the money to fix it! What mechanics do you know that would do that??? NONE, except Mike. I 1000% will be bringing my vehicle here from now on! Look no further for a trustworthy mechanic than here with Mike and Novicks Automotive!!!!!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance

I can t personally speak to the quality of repairs (although I m sure they do a great job), as I only had John diagnose the issues I was having with my vehicle. I can, however, vouch for John s honesty and friendliness - he could ve easily charged me for more than he needed to, but instead kept me informed to reduce the cost of service. If I lived in Aurora, I would certainly take all of my vehicles here for repairs.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

GO TO NOVICK FOR ALL YOUR AUTOMOTIVE NEEDS!!! THEY HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE BEST MECHANICS IN COLORADO!!! THEY CARE, THEY ARE HONEST, THEY ARE KIND, AND HAVE GREAT PRICES!!! I LOVE THESE GUYS!!! My sons car sat in Sterling for over 2 weeks (not going to call out the automotive company) waiting for a part that was not even needed because I had it towed (204.50) to NOVICK who actually looked and diagnosed the issue and it was repaired in less than 24 hours and HE DID NOT CHARGE ME!!! I've never had an issue with my car so I didn't even have a place I felt comfortable taking it. The other day I heard a strange noise from my car. When I stopped I found a guard under my engine and transmission was hanging down on one side. I was rather concerned what could happen just driving it until I could get it repaired. I called Novick Automotive just before they closed on Friday. After explaining what was wrong he said he didn't have an opening on Saturday, but to bring it in and he would work it in. They did just that and in a few hours it was ready. He repaired it, and replaced the plastic pieces that caused this to happen. The price he charged was very reasonable too. I will take my car back the next time I need a service.

I take my Jeep to Novick Automotive for everything. John has always treated me well, and I have never felt taken advantage of, being a woman! He always allows me to look at the broken part, etc...and I would recommend John and Mike to anyone in need of car repairs!

My mom and dad have used John since I was a teen, I now take my vehicles to him because he has always been fair and honest with me about price and if he can or can not do something. John is real standup guy. He was in my neck of the woods out east at Ace Hardware and spotted me struggling with a skid plate on my Camaro. Offered to go inside to problem solve some bolts. Came out and he got down on the ground with me to put it back together--spent his personal time just to help me. So I believe I've found my mechanic for my next service. Thanks John, I owe ya! Gonna spread the word and tell folks to come to you.

Real honest owner/mechanic I just wished I would've taken it here instead of stevisen Toyota from the beginning BTW I know I probably didn't spell that dealer name correctly and I don't care because I have a review of that place that isn't quite as kind. Anyway, the owner John Novick is a real good guy and I would not only recommend him but will be taking my business there again.

John is the mechanic and proprietor. He is an excellent mechanic. He tells you what is wrong, gives estimates, and fixes it. He is a NAPA center so all the parts are guaranteed.

I made an appointment for 9 am on a Saturday. Showed up at 9 and place is closed. Waited till 930. Left message asking where mechanic was and no one ever called me back. Very unprofessional.
