You have found the best repair and customization shop in the US and the best mechanic in Steve. BUT you need to own a Jeep. Sarah and Steve are Jeepers and love and live everything they help their clients achieve from basic safety to advance customizations and even teach you on trail. I started as a stock 2010 Jeep Wrangler JK sport and now have a built Jeep that is a dream to drive and can handle my off-roading adventures. At every step Sarah and Steve were patient guides who not only made recommendations but were able to help me understand the why the modification would work on and off road. My best advice is listen to them, the first time, they are honest, knowledgeable folks who really ALWAYS put their clients first and love what they do. They are the only ones who work or my Jeep and ever will.

Took our 2012 JK to Steve and Sara for suggestions on the suspension. Not wanting to spend an absorbent amount of money they suggested a budget suspension system that they said they have had a lot of success with. We told them to move ahead with the project and they had it done in a week. Picked up Jeep and drove for a couple weeks, did some off roading as well. Have been very pleased with the ride and handling with the new suspension. Steve knows what he is doing and does great work. Shop is impeccable! Sara was pleasant to work with, Steve could work on his people skills a little.

Built-4-Fun 4x4 it is. Period.Steve and Sarah are so knowledgeable and experienced, you can always learn from them.I didn t believe it first, but every little detail they recommended, I m now happy to have when going off-road. Yesterday I broke my steering gear box, and Steve was able to fix it today. I m still overwhelmed how much this service makes a difference in my Jeeper s life.I highly recommend Built-4-Fun 4x4 to you, if you don t want to pay twice.

I ve worked with a few different shops around metro Denver since buying my Jeep a couple years ago. Although the other shops and people were great, Built 4 Fun is just different. Steve and Sarah are great people to work with and they almost make their shop feel like home once you get to know them. Steve have done a lot of work on my Jeep now and also Built my wife s from stock and she Loves it! If your looking for a shop that will just throw on cheap non American made parts this probably isn t the shop for you but if your looking for a shop that only installs the best American made parts, does quality work and focuses on every detail then this is the shop for you!

This review was hard for me, because of the connection I have with Built4fun4x4. I was searching via google for Jeep Modification shops. I came apon Built4fun and I called and spoke to Steve. He asked me a few questions about my Jeep and my intentions when it came to off roading. I could tell he knew what he had in mind for my Jeep. I received in a timely manner a quote from Sarah. She told me that I can add or remove items. Even added extra items. During this time of deciding, Sarah invited me to come and meet their Jeep club. Yes a shop that modifies Jeeps and goes with you on trails. I met them for a Christmas Toy Drop Off for a great charity. The next day we met to go bowling, best time. Every member is a customer of Built4fun. I had a chance to see all of their Jeeps and meet the people who drive them. After a few months of tweaking my Jeep and multiple emails and calls to both of them. I finally decided what my Jeep would look like. I want people to know that Steve and Sarah want you to be happy. Their years of experience with Jeeps is valuble. They own a fleet of Jeeps themselves, so they test parts on their Jeeps. They recommend certain brands not because of any kickbacks, butt mostly because they work. I knew I was being taken care of. They respected my questions and everything was explained. They both have a passion in what they do as a business and as friends. I'm so glad I met them, not only did I get a great price, great quality of work, but I made some Jeep friends! Oh, did I mention they install mostly American Parts! First shop I ever saw that was clean and organized. They are really down to Earth people and I have seen on Google three horrible reviews from people who don't have backbones. Steve is very straight to the point and I guess most do not want to here the truth. Sarah and Steve are experts in Jeeps and people need to realize that. You are going to them for advice. They are a very successful mom and pop shop. They beat every place by price, quality, and customer service. They even told me that I didn't have to do it at once, but do it in steps. They recommended what needs to be a priority over others. I ended up spending more, but that's on me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants who's looking for a few mods or a overhaul on their Jeeps. They also are a full mechanics shop and provide oil and tire change service. They also will teach you how to navigate trails and safety on the trails! Find a shop anywhere who will do all of these for their customers! I wish them many more years of success and I hopefully will see you on the trails!

Built 4 Fun 4X4 is a family business run by people who are passionate about Jeeps and the people who drive them. Couldn't be happier with my recent build - fair prices, prompt service, and lots of great recommendations & advice. And my Jeep drives like a dream (on and off road). If you need work done on your Jeep, look no further...Steve and Sarah are the best!

Everything done on this Jeep was done by them! Steve and Sarah are the most honest people you will ever meet. The quality of the work is exceptional, you can't beat their prices on parts, and you can't come EVEN CLOSE to beating their prices on labor. Highly recommended. I am proud to say I was their first customer and will be a customer for life! A+++++

I will never take my Jeep anywhere else! Steve is a Jeep wizard!! I was experiencing severe death wobble, I got a quote from a different mechanic who wanted $3600 to fix my wobble. Steve showed me what was actually the problem with my steering system and fixed it for under half what I was originally quoted. Some mechanics try to bleed you dry and take you for all your worth. Not Steve, my Jeep is driving better than ever, and I learned a little something too!! Steve and Sarah have over 30+ years of experience Jeeping and treated me like family from the moment I walked in the shop. Good people, great work.

Met Steve & Sarah after I had purchased a Jeep that they had previously done work on. Bought a new Jeep and was in dire need of some mods. Steve is a VERY straight forward person & business owner. He didn t try and push me to buy expensive items, didn t push on me the popular names. Told me directly what he recommended...why..?...because it s what he has used time and time again and knows what works very well with out having to over spend. The work done on my Jeep looks amazing! Lots of work done in only 2 days. He is fast and you can bet that the work is done flawlessly! Steve & Sarah treated my Jeep like it was their own. Very competitive pricing as well. Been on 2 Jeep trails that Steve has led on. Very knowledgeable of trails and picking the right lines to keep you and your Jeep as safe as possible. I HIGHLY recommend usingBuilt 4 Fun 4x4 as your place to go for your Jeep needs. Thanks Steve & Sarah for all your hard work & priceless advice. I will be returning for more goodies!

Happy with my experience! Took my 2012 Jeep Wrangler in to have after market drive shafts installed. Sarah who runs the front counter is very helpful. And goes out of her way to get your questions answered. Steve the husband is very knowledgeable and works quickly and efficiently. A little opinionated. He can come across very serious. But it s because he cares and wants you to spend your money where it would most benefit you. $5 dollars to anyone that can get him to crack a smile. I will definitely be going back to have work done!

I just had a major overhaul to my Jeep completed by Built 4 Fun 4x4. I am beyond happy with everything that was done. Working with Steve and Sarah was a great experience. They spent a lot of time with me early in the process discussing what I was looking to do to my Jeep and then presented me with several options (I had a lot of work done so I asked for multiple options). Steve is very meticulous when he works on your Jeep. He truly does approach a project as if he's working on his own Jeep. Attention to detail, great work ethic and stays in touch with you on the status of the project. I had gone to a few different shops and had terrible experiences. I was on the verge of selling my Jeep. I thought I'd try one last shop which happened to be Built 4 Fun 4x4. I am so happy I made the decision to work with Steve and Sarah. I love my Jeep again and I will be going to these guys for all my Jeep projects going forward. I highly recommend Built 4 Fun 4x4.

Steve and Sara did an amazing Job of upgrading my Jeep with the modifications I asked for. I was new to Jeeps and not really sure what I needed, as far as mods, to get the most out of my jeep. I waited 1 yr to really feel out my jeep, on the trails, and get a feel for what I wanted. I met Steve and Sara, and immediately felt they could be trusted to get me where I needed to be.They offered great suggestions based on what I was wanting and needing. They did an awesome job installing the mods, and went above and beyond following up and making sure I was happy with their services. My Jeep handles amazing both on the road, and off. My wheeling success and fun has improved substantially with these modifications installed by Built 4 Fun 4x4; and she gets tons of compliments on her overall appearance and how well she gets around on the trails. She's pretty and capable. If you are looking for an honest and knowledgeable business to build your jeep up to your customized standards, reach out to Steve and Sara. They honestly care about their customers.

Steve and Sarah might be the best people I've ever dealt with on my Jeep. They were fantastic from getting prices to repairing my jeep to coming in on budget. I have finally found a home for my Jeep repairs after 8 years of roaming from shop to shop. Just to give you an idea, BFF 4x4 came in 40 - 80 percent lower in price than any other shop I called and they provided a superior part to many of the higher priced shops. I drove 40 miles to get to them. Steve and Sarah thank you for providing a repair shop for me and other Jeep owners. Oh, and if you think your wrangler is awesome, wait till you see Steve's.

Made appt here weeks out. Was super excited to bring my jeep in to get parts installed. I told him on the phone the brand of all my parts (headlights and rocklights.) I show up and he calls my lights chinese that are actually made in America. Says they have a 50/50 chance of working if he installs them and hes not responsible. I said can u not test them before you install them? He had some generic negative response. Giving nothing but bad vibes asking me what specific location and angle i want each rock light at, making the whole thing seem like a burden. I left. Someone else will be happy to install these parts for me without making a soap opera out of it

After realizing that the build I had done wasn't working as it should - did some myself and had some done at the large store in town - I began looking for somebody to fix my issues. These folks have been unbelievably helpful and PATIENT with my numerous questions through the process. since I was rebuilding a problem child I created I wanted to avoid those issues the second time. Jeep is now driving straight, wheeling as hard as my ability will allow, and enjoyable to drive again. Steve's approach is straight forward. He has an opinion based on years of wheeling, fixing, and building. I like that he is honest and to the point. Sarah is a sweetheart. I have refereed my boss to them (which could go bad if his sons' jeep didn't work afterward), and friends. I look forward to delaying more of my future home improvement plans to spend money there in the future. I think the bad reviews here should be taken with a grain of salt, and the numerous positive reviews reflect the customer experience that awaits. You have a great day and hit the trails!

I have been to Built 4 Fun twice now for my Jeep build and every time I am there, it turns out to be the most pleasant and rewarding experience that I have ever had when it comes to my vehicle. Everything is handled in the utmost professional manner and I always leave completely satisfied. All the work is performed in a location clean enough to eat off the floor. Steve always has me check his work before I walk out the door. I had some complications with paying for my services through PayPal and Sarah took the time to remain on the phone as we worked together to find the solution. Her kindness and patience with her customers is amazing and she genuinely shows care and concern for everyone she interacts with. I have never encountered a more trust-worthy company than this one and they will be doing ALL of my Jeep modifications.Steve and Sarah demonstrate true respect and compassion for every single customer that calls or walks in their door. As people and business owners, they are truly second to none!

There are few shops where you feel comfortable and confident that you're being taken care of, and Built 4 Fun is one of them. Steve and Sarah are passionate about Jeeps and the work they doFor their customers, and they take extra care in finding the best options to meet your needs. It's nice to know that you're getting great work done at a great price, and that you're not just another job to someone. Make sure to join one of their Meetup groups if you're just getting started with your Jeep, as they're tons of fun and you'll learn a lot!

When I was introduced to built 4 fun, I was very impressed with the customer service and amazing quality work. I was so impressed with how fast they got me in and out of the shop. They talked me through every step of what they did and helped me gain so much knowledge on my Jeep. I couldn t be more happy with how my Jeep turned out. This amazing facility also runs an amazing Jeep group. We go wheeling all over Colorado experiencing new trails and different rated trials. This team will never let you feel left behind no matter the size of Jeep you own. Only Being with Built 4 Fun 4x4 for a year they make all of us Jeepers feel like family.

We brought my son's Wrangler to Built4Fun4x4 for some major repair work and after meeting Steve and Sarah had no hesitations about leaving the Wrangler with them for the repairs - it was clear the knowledge and passion that they have for these vehicles. The work was completed within the time we were told it would be and that was with some additional attention the Wrangler needed, including Steve having to fabricate a part for the engine mount (Great job Steve!) Runs better than it ever has and it is great to have that peace of mind knowing your son is driving the vehicle. They went over every step of what was done to the Jeep with us, including pictures they took during the repairs. They also recommended a few other areas that needed some attention, showing us what the issues were and letting us know in what order we may want to get them repaired if we could not get it all done at once. Not once did we feel pressured, it was more like discussing car repairs with friends! This was a very pleasant experience for us (How often do you hear that when it comes to auto repair?) and I can say with confidence that the only people other than us that will be doing anything to our son's Wrangler will be Steve and Sarah at Built 4 Fun 4x4.Thanks again Guys!Brian, Michele and Jacob

I met Steve and Sarah of Built 4 Fun 4x4 when I responded to an ad on craigslist for some diffs. When I met with them the diffs did not fit into my plans for my Jeep but learned Built 4 Fun was much more than a Jeep repair and accessory shop. They host a meet up group as well which I have been involved with over this past summer and have attended numerous trail excursions with them. Steve and Sarah as well as the other Jeepers in this group are some of the nicest folks I have had the occasion to meet! My Jeep experienced some problems on a trail run which is when I required the repair facet of Built 4 fun. A plan was discussed, implemented and accomplished with Steve that exceeded my expectations at a more than reasonable cost. The service was personable and honest as well as reasonably priced...much less than a big box store! If you are looking for a place to upgrade your Jeep or go on a 4x4 outing Built 4 fun 4x4 is the only place you should look at...I am looking forward to continuing a long lasting service and outing relationship with Steve and Sarah in the future. To put it simply discussing repairs and upgrades with Steve is like talking to a friend about making you recreational toy or daily driver better suit your expectations...honest! Thank you Steve and Sarah for making my Jeep experiences that much more enjoyable!!

If you re looking for honest solid work and a Jeep mechanic that isn t afraid to tell you how it is without the BS that most other shops run you through than look no further than Built 4 Fun 4x4. They have gone out of their way to help repair and start building on my TJ. I love the JKS suspension they recommended and their enthusiasm for jeeps truly shows! Excellent family business! Cannot wait to continue on with my build with Built 4 Fun!!!

I am not one to write reviews, but I feel inclined to write one. My first experience with Built 4 Fun was when I needed a new U-Joint. I had called the Jeep dealership near me and asked what it would cost to replace. They asked for my Jeep info and told me that a new joint would be 1300. I immediately started looking around. I stumbled upon Built 4 Fun and gave them a call. I had some worries about calling at first just because of the small business and being ripped off. Steve answered the phone and I explained my problem and what Jeep dealership was offering for me. He immediately stopped me and informed that a TJ does not have a cv joint rather a U joint. He told me to bring it down to the shop for further inspection. Steve took a look at it and realized that the Jeep needed a new joint. He also noticed that my stock skid plate was rubbing up against some other metal that would cause future problems. Sara, wrote me up a quote for a new joint and skid plate for $1100. Considering the fact that Jeep wanted 1300 just for a joint, I thought I was getting a great deal. Since my first visit Steve has done some modifications to my Jeep with more to come. Steve and Sara are great to work with and are very knowledgeable. It s rare to see such good quality work and customer service from a small business. Don t look past this place for modifications, Built 4 Fun is the real deal and I hope there business grows and wish only the best for them.

I met Steve at the worst time for me, but it turned out to be the best time for the Jeep and our safety on the trail. After an accident late this year that totaled our Wrangler. Steve took the time, energy and genuine love of what he does and put it into bringing my rig back to life. My 15 year old baby saved! My 2001 is now humming along and even in the shop with Steve getting lifted for next season. Steve's helped me start to form a solid upgrade plan that satisfies my needs and wants, but with his recommendations, helps us be safer on the trails and roads out there.I can't recommend Built 4 Fun more. I don't do a lot of endorsement of companies, but I'm so impressed with the lack of upsell, the honesty of Steve and the fair pricing???? How can I not!?Bottom line. Do you have a Wrangler?.... take it to Built 4 Fun

Poor customer service and overall experience from Steve. Sarah is cool, but should keep her husband away from customers. He's rude, condescending and lacks professionalism. 4 Wheel Parts offers better customer service, which is where I took my Jeep to afterwards to fix an issue Built for Fun created for me. Won't go back!

Started off with a bone stock TJ, called Built 4 Fun, and ended up with my dream rig. Sarah and Steve are awesome; they never steered me wrong, never forced parts or manufacturers on me, and a few times when it was necessary, stopped me before making a possibly bad choice of parts. The rates are extremely reasonable, questions were answered within minutes, and Steve takes incredible pride in his excellent work. Then, when the build was done, Steve and Sarah took my wife and I on the trail to break my new rig in properly!I can not recommend Built 4 Fun highly enough... From mild to wild, they can make a dream become reality!

Recently had my jeep overhauled with a new lift kit and wheels and tires, i'm in love with the work they did and will not take my jeep anywhere else.Steve and Sarah are some of the nicest and knowledgeable people you could have work on your jeep. They not only work on jeeps but they also have their own jeep club, which is basically another family! Meeting tons of people with the same jeep obsession is always a great time and is tons of fun!! Highly recommend you bring your jeep here for your next upgrade!

Steve is a wizard with Jeeps! Very reasonable prices and willing to take the time to steer you in the right direction. Knows every type of Jeep there is. I've used him multiple times and am a customer for life. (or as long as my Jeep lasts... )I recently had Steve do an axle swap, and he does amazing work, treats every Jeep as if it were his own. He even texts follow ups to make sure it's working right! Give him a call, you can't go wrong!
