My husband was out showing houses when his car started to over heat then completely shut off leaving him stranded on the side of the road. His client had to drive him to the next showing and lucky for my husband, the car broke down right next to Ace Auto Repair. Kevin was so gracious to diagnose and resolve the issue the same day. He's knowledgeable, service oriented and personable. We'll definitely be trusting our vehicles to him moving forward.

My skid plate came loose and was dragging. Ace said come in and let's take a look.Told.ke it was salvageable and where to get the missing parts. Grabbed them, came back and he fixed it in minutes.Straight shooter. Super nice guy. I'll be taking my car here for what I need from here on out.Thanks!

Our Jeep up and died a couple of weeks ago and we didn't know where to bring it. We are so glad we had it towed to Ace. Kevin was so great to work with. Great communication, fairly priced, and creatively solved unexpected developments. We won't hesitate to come back here.

A short story about my interaction with an employee of this shop named John. He had 4 wheels and tires listed on FB marketplace, I needed two of them and made him an offer, he accepted. I arrived the next morning and he literally gave me all 4 of them and wouldn't accept a dollar for them. I was out of state traveling through from NC and he said.......Welcome to Denver. I have never had any work done here but wouldn't hesitate to leave a vehicle in their care. Good people are still around and even harder to find are good mechanics.

The one and only Mechanic i would trust to work on my vehicle. Brought my car in because the electrical kept shorting out. Kevin quickly identified the issue, tightened up a few bolts and test drove the vehicle. He Didn t even charge me because he wasn t 100% sure the issue would resolve the issue but it did. Thank you, Kevin. I hope you see this review.

I was a loyal customer here for 12 years, and the previous owner John never let me down. But after John retired a couple years ago, things started to fall apart. I recently learned that a cold air intake they installed for me last year was done completely wrong. Specifically, several of the installation hardware components provided by the manufacturer were not even used in the installation... the intake tube was basically jerry rigged to loosely connect it to the intake manifold, and the entire tube was split open on it's underside due to improper tightening. As a result, I discovered that my Jeep's engine has been breathing unfiltered air for almost a year now. This obviously can't be undone... my engine is likely do die much sooner than it otherwise would have because of this careless work. So I'm sorely disappointed.

I came in to get my heater repaired and my gas line checked out. I brought my car to this shop and left it for a day. The next day I was told the only problem wrong with my heater was that it was missing coolant. My gas line wasn't pumping gas properly and I was told they did something to try to correct it.When I got my car back the heater did not work and my car's gas line was still not working. It was a very poor attempt of diagnosing my vehicle's problems. I felt as if they did not take a genuine attempt of helping me. I spoke to Kevin the owner who seemed to be frustrated at the fact that I was calling him back to let him know that nothing I came in for had been resolved.He essentially charged me $75 to put coolant in my car. I decided to cancel going back to this shop due to their nonchalant attitudes. I did not feel welcome.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Trustworthy and Honest from an experience mechanic. We've trusted Kevin with our family cars for the past two years, best decision I ever made!! This time the AC wasn't working, expecting a expensive repair instead Kevin adjusted a temperature control knob and it is working fine. We weren't charged at all, now that's honestly with great customers service. Seldom you can find a gem mechanic like Ace Auto Repair.

Fantastic service! Had my brakes and rotors replaced in about 2 hours and the issues are all gone ... van works great now!! They even dropped me off and came back to get me at the Stanley. The nicest guys, honest and very fair pricing. A rare experience nowadays, really. They get my highest recommendation.

Our car was making rattling noise. We took it here based on the reviews. Kevin diagnosed our car and after we informed him of warranty repairs previously he recommended we take it back to the dealership. He was honest and incredibly helpful. Very honest guys! Great service, super friendly, and good communication. helped me fix my car for a very reasonable price. John even dropped me off at my house close by so I didn't have to wait while they were working on my car. Will definitely be going back when I need to!

Moved to Denver recently and hadn't had time to find a mechanic I could trust. I saw the reviews for these guys and gave them a chance. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience.They took me through the whole troubleshooting process and gave me a firm quote - and stuck to it when the repair was finished. They fixed things that needed replacement and showed me the old parts after so I could see why they were replaced.Honest people. Good rates. Fast service (days faster than I expected).

I'm still in shock with the experience I just had here. If I could give a hundred stars, I would. I grew up restoring cars with my father as a hobby, I wouldn't say I'm a pro mechanic, but know my way around a car except when it comes to computers. I brought my Kia Soul here to figure out why my TCS light was permanently on and having acceleration issues and what felt like the clutch slipping. They diagnosed, explained that the computer just needed to be reset, and I had my car back in no time working perfect.Kevin and his staff are simply the nicest, most honest mechanics I've ever encountered, both on a professional and personal level. I overheard some of the conversations with other customers, and Kevin really went above and beyond to make sure the vehicle owners understood what was going on and further explained things that WEREN'T needed. I was blown away when I heard the pricing for their services with other customers, significantly lower than other shops. I truly hope good fortune strikes Kevin and his crew at Ace, they deserve any and all accolades possible. Enjoyed my experience so much I sent over pizza and wings as a thanks.

I really don't often take the time to write a review unless I feel very strongly about it. I feel very strongly about the care and service I received at Ace Auto. I've never had such friendly, down to earth people reach out to me to try and help with my auto problems. Both John and Kevin are very knowledgeable and reasonable guys, and I hope I can send as much business there way as possible! I'm not taking my car anywhere else while I live in Denver--from basic oil changes to more difficult diagnostics, these guys have my business.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Kevin was down to earth and very nice to work with. Was worried about being ripped off and taken advantage of like I have from other mechanic shops in the past, but Ace proved to be nothing like the others. I am very happy with the service we received and I recommend this business to everyone. Thank you for being awesome Ace Auto repair.

Great experience here. I have an older vehicle with a number of issues and John was great about helping to identify what needs to be done now and what I can defer. No pressure. Reasonable rates. Quick. Excellent communication. Highly recommend and I will be back... but hopefully not too soon :)

I'm not one to usually take the time to leave a review, even if excellent service is provided, I usually just make the person know in person how great I thought their service was and leave it that. However, Ace Auto Repair is different and went above and beyond the call of duty. I brought my car in early this morning with a problem in my fuel line. I was immediately greeted by John and Kevin. They each took a look at my engine in front of me and were verbally explaining to me their thought process as they were examining it. John decided he needed to get a closer look and would need to keep the car for the day to see what was going on. Pretty Standard. Here is where Ace Auto Repair goes far and above anything I have ever experienced.John, the owner, then voluntarily offered to personally drive me to my office which was just a few miles away. He personally drove me to work. That is something I will never forget. Throughout the day John called me a few times to keep me updated on the process and kept me informed from the beginning to the end. He was very detailed in his assessment and honest with the information he was providing me. John even arranged to have my car ready the same day and waiting outside so I could pick it up after hours. When I went to pick it up after hours, his son, Kevin was still there. Kevin then took the extra time, after hours, to provide me a detailed explanation of what they ended up doing to my car using diagrams of the exact area that they had to replace and why.This place is rare and truly a locally owned company. I won't be able to provide enough thanks to John and Kevin, but I felt compelled to at least rave about them online. I won't go anywhere else in Denver ever again for any car questions or trouble.

I will never return to this mechanic. Last time I went I had gone through a car wash and my car was super squeaky after car wash was finished waited a few days and the sound became worse so I took it the this shop and was told car need a whole new frame piece paid $800 for service picked up car and the mechanic then makes an insinuation that it didn t need $800 piece car really only needed oiling. Will never return.

I self perform about 90% of the work on my vehicles. Ace Auto is the only local shop that has earned my trust. Kevin and crew are professional, communicative, and will tell it to you straight and lay out your options. No BS, no upsell, no excuses... just a team of guys doing quality work. We ran into some challenges sourcing parts for my 17 year old vehicle, and despite this being nobody's fault... they took care of me. They have earned my loyalty and I am happy to put my name on this review.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Wheel alignment

This is the best place to get your car worked on...John and Kevin are knowledgeable, thorough, quick, and very honest! The explain everything they do, and show you the part(s) that came off the car. I won't let anyone else work on my car - great service!

This is a neighborhood mechanic and I just really appreciate them and always get my oil change there and check in with them if I have any other needs as well they also recommend great specialty mechanics if you need it so come check them out

This a father and son shop veteran owned. I have been taking my cars here for over 20 yrs. Why because they actually want to have your business. The first car I ever took there was my Honda crx needed a clutch everyone wanted about $850.00to $1200.00. Out of a whim I decided to call Ace they told me 350.00 to 400.00 just depends on how long it would take them. Got my car back in 2days and it came out to 389.00 . That was back in 1995 and I'm still taking my cars to them when it's something I can't do myself. They will even help you diagnose a problem if you can't figure it out.You can't go wrong with Ace amazing people who value customer service and will do anything to help. Last time I took my car in I was on a trip had lent my car to mom, and she was having some issues with it. I called them asked if they had any availability to have it looked at and asked them a huge favor if they would be so kind as to drop off my mom back home so she wouldn't have to walk back. They did it happily and when I got back from my trip the car was waiting fixed and ready to go. Jim always kept me up to date and even put a new timing belt i had baught on for me that I was going to replace when I got back no charge. Like I said amazing service and no one but Ace gets my business.

I went to two auto shops with the same problem with my car. At Ace Auto, John called me in, walked me to the floor, and took the time to explain why he felt the other shop's diagnosis was wrong and they were trying to charge me for extra parts. Then, since I live just a couple blocks away, he gave me a ride home on a cold day, all of it without charging me. I've never gone anywhere else since. Excellent mechanics, and a local business that's been in the neighborhood for a long time.

I had John look at a car I just purchased. He was straight forward in his assessment of the car (which is what I wanted). When I asked him how much for his assessment, to my amazement...no charge. I still feel guilty about taking his time (driving the car, looking at the body and engine, etc.). So, the least I could do is give Ace Auto Repair a 5-Star rating. Thanks

These guys are great, and great prices. They even remember people that have been there just one time. Great neighborhood shop that is close enough for use to drop our vehicles off and walk to and from the shop. Always friendly and prices are even better than the big named places where you have to wait forever for some 16 year old to do your regular maintenance.
