Beware of any same day rentals made on the app for this location. Was bumped from my flight and immediately booked a car to take myself to Denver for the flight I was rebooked on. Upon arriving at the counter I was told there were no cars and was given no help by the people working the counter and told to contact support. I stayed on the phone with support for over an hour without receiving any help. Completely unacceptable by the company.

I am not sure where those reviews on this profile comes from. My experience was amazing. Very fast check-in, friendly guy was very helpful. The car was clean, fragrant and reliable. Drop-off in LA smooth as hell. 5/5. Thanks for a great service!

Had a terrible experience at Hertz Car Rental. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE. I came in the the airport rental and asked for an upgrade to my vehicle since I am a hertz gold plus member and booked through American Express travel. They told me I was not entitled to an upgrade (even though they had other vehicles available) the manager also gave me a weird look when I got to the counter (maybe because I am Latino) and made me feel extremely uncomfortable.Do not come here

One of the absolute worst customer service experiences in my life. AVOID Hertz at all costs, especially the Aspen location. Joe is an absolute embarrassment. Rude, unprofessional, and a liar. Hertz as a company is just as bad. Go with literally anyone else, Hertz is the bottom of the barrel.

I needed to rent a car for a few days for local driving. Although the pickup time was 9 AM, Joe had arrived early to prepare for the day and graciously assisted me with my rental. He explained the essential operating features of the car, and helped to adjust my reservation so that I could return the car at a later time to take advantage of the full day that I had paid for in my reservation. Joe was one of the most helpful car rental employees I have encountered. I highly recommend choosing this company when renting a car in Aspen.

Regrettably, as a longtime customer of Aspen Airport, this Hertz location has gone downhill fast!I am a Hertz President s Club member the highest level of customer loyalty. They didn t acknowledge that during pickup of my reserved vehicle, which is itself unusual.When I asked if a complimentary upgrade was available, he said no as Aspen was a small location that did not provide that level of service. He offered to upgrade me for an additional 25% of my rental fee. I declined.When I asked which vehicles were available for my reserved class (full size), he said that customers could not choose their vehicle and that I would have to take whatever they had assigned. He added that they did not allow customer choice of vehicle as it was not a low end car rental location.What a disappointment. If they truly aspire to be a high end agency location, they will need to vastly improve their low end customer service.Through it all, a woman stood next to him, yawning and looking bored or tired during my mid-afternoon visit completely ignoring the 3 or 4 other customers in the queue.Fortunately, several other options exist.

Don t rent here or you might get stranded. When my flight was delayed, I got in at 8:05pm. Desk closes at 8pm and they were gone. So much for my reservation. Hertz will leave you stuck at the airport!

Do not rent unless you will get in before 8PM. Rudest guy I have met in a long time.After our flight was delayed getting in I called to ensure my car would be available, but no one picked up. After arriving no one was there and had to come back in the morning. Several passengers were stranded. The next day I came back to get the car he says I m not on the list and said You can t just walk up and expect a car . I told him I had a reservation from the night before. Company policy is not to leave until the flights get in. Unsat.

I am an Aspen local and over the last few months have needed a few car rentals. I have worked with Joe, then Ashley & Brandan and most recently Chad. The team is really good and cares a lot about customer service. I always leave feeling taken care of and appreciate their work ethic, local demeanor and customer support. Thank you Aspen Hertz team.

Amanda at the Aspen Airport is an exceptional employee...Our flight was cancelled out of Aspen to Denver at Christmas time. We went to the Hertz counter during a very busy time and with a big smile and, she asked us how she could help. We told her we were waiting to see if our flight was cancelled and not sure if she could put a car on hold for us. She said absolutely! After finding out our flight was definitely cancelled, we went back to the counter to get the car. She went outside to get the car and started it for us. Amanda went Above and beyond and was so friendly and helpful..She made our experience in the Aspen airport so seamless considering our flight was cancelled .. Thank you Amanda!!!

Just wanted to give a 5 star shout out to Joe at the Hertz rental car desk in the Aspen airport. After what was probably a VERY long day of dealing with frustrated travelers trying to get into and out of Aspen, Joe was kind and understanding and the ultimate employee in terms of customer service. And this was at 9pm at night! And even though we didn t end up needing a car after all we will always go to Hertz first (at least in Aspen) because of his great service and attitude. Thanks Joe!

I did a reservation online for a small sedan which was 130, then when I got there They charge me for 5 Hours drive Aspen to Denver 633 on my credit card. Then when I went to talk with the manager, the only thing he told me is to give him proof that the online reservation was 130. Clearly They take advantage of young people.

My friends and I ended up having to switch our rental car which we picked up from Denver because we got a flat tire on 3/8/19; Hertz's emergency line told us to head over to Aspen's airport after Triple A switched out our tire for a donut so that Hertz could switch us into a new vehicle for free. Amanda was the only person working the counter in the middle of a huge snowstorm in March and her customer service was beyond compare! Hertz was the only window which had a line of customers by it, and from other people's conversations, it seems like it was because every other company's rentals were more expensive. Amanda was attentive to every single person in line, going so far as to pull out multiple cars at a time and keep them running so that the line would move faster and so everyone could have a warm car ready to drive off the lot! She ended up pulling two cars for us, only to find out after running back in from the storm that they had holds on them. She would immediately run back out to get another car and ended up upgrading us from a Chevy cruz to an Infinity SUV, free of charge! With so many people in line due to a bunch of flight cancellations amid a huge snow storm, Amanda handled the situation with so much poise and, again, some of the best customer service I've ever received, and I work in sales as well! My friends and I wish we had cash on us to tip her because she really did deserve it, but we were sledding prior to our flat tire and didn't really expect to need cash on us. However, we hope the google reviews help; she definitely deserves some sort of bonus for her work last night! She's an example to customer service and sales employees everywhere, and she sets an amazing standard to follow work-ethic wise. If all employees in Hertz are like her, I would never book a rental with another company!

I am thoroughly disappointed with the customer service at this Hertz location. After renting the vehicle I tried to call the Hertz at the Aspen airport, where I rented the car, and no one answered. I waited and called a FEW more times, still no answer. I left a message with myInformation, no one called me back. I had to call the corporate phone number to extend my rental a couple hours. When I returned my vehicle no one was at the counter but it was still during business hours. As directed I put the keys with the vehicle info in the express drop box. The next morning I notice a charge from Hertz. I called corporate and sure enough it s because the employee working that evening didn t check the box and check my vehicle in. I will not be renting a vehicle from this location again. I have tried calling multiple times this morning to inquire about the charge and no answer. Either more staffing is in order or staff that will actually answer the phone or return phone calls would be great.

The customer service reps at this location are very dishonest. I got a package deal from Priceline with a rental from Hertz at this location. They told me I could upgrade from the car I initially booked since it was not suitable for the weather. Since I had a package, it would ve been priced at an upgrade as part of my package. I decided to upgrade without insurance because I my card covers this expense. 3 minutes later, my reservation was deleted by accident and cannot be reopened. I couldn t get the old reservation back, so I had to book and rent an entire reservation to be able to drive out of the airport. So I basically rented two cars but only got one. I called multiples Priceline and hertz and nothing came of it. The promised to call back to resolve and no one ever did. I m so digested that I was taken advantage of this way. I m pretty sure I wasn t the first and won t be the last. Use to be an avid supporter of both companies, not anymore.

Had a car booked via direct bill corporate account. Went to the kiosk at 7pm on 1-10-2017 and spoke to the attendant, Asian woman who was playing around on her phone, didn't get her name. She was extremely rude and demanded my personal credit card even after I explained to her that it was booked on a corporate account, and that I have never needed to give a personal card to any agent, even the previous week I had rented one there and had not been asked for my personal card. The attendants attitude was so dismissive and flippant I will NEVER patronize Hertz again. Don't feel like getting my credit card skimmed.Needless to say I had my reservation moved to National and didn't have a problem.

My mother booked a car to rent. Didn t have exactly what she had wanted, suburban, but Joe showed her several others that were available. She ended up renting a brand new Nissan Armada and absolutely loved it. We now own a nissan armada!

A $200 hold was put on my card without my knowledge. The website never mentioned anything of it nor did the person at the front desk when I picked up my card. I did not find out about it until I realized my credit card had reached its limit (due to the hold). I will say that it is written in the pamphlet / receipt AFTER, you pay.I called to double check that it was just a security hold, and it was. I just found it awful that no one told me prior.After returning the car, the next morning I found an additional $100 charge on my card. I called up Hertz and when asked what it was, they said "I have no idea".So, now, I am temporarily out of $300 until everything clears. Which, is a massive inconvenience considering I have to rent another car for a business trip in a few days.Thanks Hertz!

Pre-Paid for an SUV and specifically opted for Ski Racks. Arrived around 7:20 pm and nobody at the counter, instead a note to call a number. Called the number then 15 minutes later an older lady shows up. No courtesy "sorry for the wait" on her part but she did point out our pick-up was scheduled for an earlier time :) Finally we get the keys and haul our luggage to the car but the car was missing the Ski Racks we pre-paid for. So back to the lady who seemed to not care too much but did advise the SUV with the Ski Racks will be another 15 minute wait. So 25 minutes later Dustin, the manager, delivers the right car. All in all it took us close to an hour to get the car we paid for and we were the only customer. The SUV ended up having a rear power door malfunction which did not latch properly and caused some of the ski equipment to fall out on a HWY the next morning. We requested the car to be returned and Dustin was nice about it and agreed to pick it up. However, despite trying to reach out to him later to discuss a possible refund (left a message with Justin), never heard back from him. Second time around spoke with a female staffer who said she was new yet seemed very nice and professional. She took notes and was able to track Dustin down and then got back to me quickly advising pre-paid reservations need to be handled directly with Hertz Customer Service. Considering the issues, Dustin could have reached out as a courtesy and advised the same, potentially avoiding this negative review in the end. Reached out to Hertz Platinum Customer Care and they were very professional.

Mike at the Hertz counter in the Aspen airport is the probably the most friendly and professional rental car agent I have ever dealt with! He went above and beyond to help with rental! If only ALL locations had someone like him!

We rented a car online. Whet we showed up to pick up the car, the agent at the desk said they had no cars to give us, no inventory. Then we had to spend time on the phone getting the reservation canceled.

I have to leave a review for John at Hertz. He went above and beyond in helping us out with a rental car while my parents were here visiting and my car was at the shop at Aspen Total Auto. He is a great guy who hooked us up with a great deal and helped get my parents back to dia without breaking the bank.I highly recommend ABC Hertz for any Car rentals

booked a car online for my honeymoon in aspen, including flight details and arrival time. landed at the airport and went to the desk but there was no one there during business hours. no sign, nothing.. just abandoned. after waiting around a few minutes we asked at a desk for a different rental company if he knew if the herz employee would be coming in at all... he said there's no sign on the desk? let me check outside. he went outside for a few min then said the hertz employee is cleaning a car, he'll be back in about 5 min. we waited 20-25 min at the counter, a man walked in, walked past us without making eye contact, stepped behind the counter, still no eye contact or greeting.. no apology.. and simply said "name?" i gave my name, and he said ok you can pick between these 2 cars, both are huge SUVs. I had reserved a midsize car, and told him i'm not comfortable driving a huge SUV. still no apology, no effort to make it right, simply "well that's what we've got." my husband tried to explain that i wouldn't be able to drive such a large vehicle safely (he didn't have his license at that point), and said we wanted the car we booked online 3 weeks ago.. his reply "that's what we've got." the employee continuously stared down my husband aggressively from that point on. we were both upset, but had no other option at that point so we accepted the huge suv. while walking out the door the employee finally said "we get new cars in tomorrow so call after 12 to exchange it for a different car" i somehow got the huge SUV to our hotel and parked it.. i called 3 days in a row to exchange the car, all 3 days i was told they had nothing to exchange it for. I didn't feel safe driving the huge SUV so it said parked for 3 days although we were paying for it. finally on the 4th day they were able to exchange it... the employee who exchanged the car was polite and professional but offered no compensation for getting stuck with a car i couldn't drive even though i had booked well in advance. by far the worst experience i've ever had with any company in my 35 years of life. Not only will I never return to this particular hertz, i'll never return to hertz period.

Terrible service! After arguing over AAA free rental reservation, he decided to decline my card! What an ass. Went to another rental agent and the card went right through. Liar, bank said he NEVER attempted! DON'T RENT HERE!

Reserved a car. Agent never showed, even though I confirmed by phone. "Customer service" tried to hassle me on a refund. Rent from Avis or Budget or anyone else than these clowns.
