I highly recommend NuVintage! I recently brought my '76 Beetle, which I bought from my Dad there. Long story short, I needed to invest in repairs my Dad neglected over the years, and I also needed it to pass CO emissions since it was coming from out of state. Within a couple of days, Sam diagnosed all the issues that needed to be addressed and began the process. It's no surprise that parts were delayed, given the backlog everywhere. So, the process took longer than expected, but my Beetle now runs and drives way smoother, and a Beetle that was slowly declining was given new life. Sam and his team also addressed some minor non-mechanical issues that I couldn't seem to fix on my own. Sam even personally made sure it got over the hump and passed CO emissions. I will be back to NuVintage in the future! I am glad Sam is nearby to breathe new life into my and other vintage VWs in Denver!

very cool shop, was on a cross county road trip with my 78 adventure wagen and contacted Sam while I was in Kansas to ask about service. Sam was nice to talk to and worked me in his schedule for service. very pleased with price and work done. Sam went above and beyond looking over my bus . he used an oil I had never heard of and upon the drive home it used less oil and sounded wonderful and happy. thank you NuVintage !Services: Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

I took my 1966 VW Bus here. The people who work there are very nice and seem knowledgeable. However, there were several delays in completing the bus in time and some issues like my fuel gauge were never fully addressed even after they replaced the sending unit (I am assuming they either used a bug sending unit, a wrong year, or a cheap one that didn t even survive installation). They did some nice things like move my fuel filter and did an entire engine tune, but none of that was asked of them. Finally, their welding guy quoted me an absurd amount for welding a battery tray (nearly $3,000) and then called me back to only raise his price even more. They seem like a good shop that just didn t meet my standards.

They built my engine and have been having issues ever since. All the bolts were torqued to a third of what they should have been. Bolts were missing. Didn't reattach the heater boxes so I went all winter with out heat. Gas peddle cable was so short I only had 25% throttle. Didn't replace the dipstick after an oil change. The list keeps on going. Overcharged me. All around horrible experience and definitely will not be taking my bus back for any work.

Sam and his crew are great people. I bought 4 new aftermarket Wheels from them for my 1983 Porsche 944 that I restored, I have read all these reviews and I will tell you as a business owner that you can't please every single customer that walks in to your business. You get what you pay. If a customer wants more out of service then you pay for it. Go see Sam he's your guy.

These guys are great. Had some rigged up wiring that was seemingly impossible to overcome, and they were able to track down all the crazy wires and make sense of it all. There were still a couple random issues, but they said to just bring it back in and they would take care of me. Very professional. Good to see guys that take pride in what they do!

This is my new shop to bring my STI! The mechanics are awesome and Sam did everything he could to get my car back on the road as quickly and inexpensive as possible. Any other shop could have charged a lot more but they were very understanding of my situation.

Anytime I visit, i'm treated poorly. I need the parts and advice at times and don't know of another place to go, so unfortunate I have to keep revisiting them and continue to be treated poorly by that front desk guy Chris. I did meet Sam the owner once who was an amazingly nice guy, I wish he would coach the front desk man on having some manors. Anyway, I want to get my bug restored and would likely spend a fair amount of money here if their customer service was better but I just don't trust them..

Just took delivery of a 1914cc installed in my 73 Square back. Runs great! Sam worked with me all the way through, so I got it built exactly as I wanted. Reasonably priced and top quality!

I only let Sam and his guys touch my Subi's. Not many people seem to know they do Subaru as well. There's not many places you can leave knowing your car is better than when you brought it in. Never a hidden charge. Always reasonable. Well worth the drive from South Denver to know its right.

I generally use on-line shops for parts. Was in Denver a few weeks ago and decided to swing by Nu Vintage. I was delighted with the treatment and knowledge provided by Cris. I like to support local shops when economically feasible. The price and delivery schedule quoted for a front brake disc brake kit was very competitive with on- line suppliers. I intend to use Nu Vintage as my first stop for future part requirements.

They do more than just work on engines. Not sure why there are a few negative reviews, including the one about terrible customer service and workmanship , but everyone has their opinion. I was promptly greeted by the owner, who listened to my bus conundrum and then proceeded to come outside to look over my bus. Nu Vintage was willing to and successfully installed a missing piece to my Westy pop top that two other, local VW places would not touch. They even installed my new curtain behind the closet, a very hard to reach area. They found that my closet was only being held in by 2 of 6 required screws. Nu Vintage re-installed those missing screws. A thorough once over of my bus revealed additional parts that need replacing after 47 years of use, of which I will have Nu Vintage complete the work. In summary, I received good workmanship on my bus and good customer service by Sam, the owner. Sam and his team do very good work.

Most unprofessional place I've ever dealt with! Took my 68 bus in to be switched from generator to alternator and get a new exhaust. I ended up with a vehicle that stopped running every time I came to a red light. Called Sam (total douche by the way) and told him what was happening and he had the balls to tell me that he could call a tow truck for me!!! So I put the key in the ignition to head back towards the shop and my key got jammed in the ignition. Upon further investigation I realized that my ignition switch and key had been switched out. Something I never asked them to work on! Do not trust these guys! They stole my good ignition and switched it out with a piece of crap! The key that was given back to me WASN'T EVEN MINE! I had to call the Jefferson County police department to see what could be done, but they said I had no proof! Now I have to file a civil suit against them! What a nightmare!

I only take my 1974 Volkswagen superbeetle here and EVERYTIME I come in I learn something new about my car. These gentlemen really do know what they're doing. Some people describe poor customer service, but they don't know that the people who work here just like to make your experience at the mechanics fun. It is so rare to find a group of people who are willing to take care of your car with the same level of attention that they do theirs, and that's because they feel a connection with every air-cooled masterpiece that rolls trough that garage no matter how rusty or beaten up. My bug is no perfect car, in fact some may call it an eye-sore but they love it as much as I do. And for that I thank them.

If you are looking for a great Volkswagen shop to work on your classic, don't come here!!! This is easily the worst VW "Specialists" shop I have ever dealt with! When I originally came here to get help with my VW Bus, they treated me like an absolute piece of trash! Just because I wasn't a current customer. This is terrible, it makes it worse when you realize that they are one of the most shady repair shops around. They took off perfect working, original parts off of the cars and "threw them away" and replaced them with aftermarket "upgrades". It is just a little weird that they opted to remove as many original parts as they could, even if they worked perfect. I will never associate with the company ever!!!! And I highly advise you do the same!!!

Took my bay window to NuVintage. Everyone is so knowledgeable and respectful. Get your VW into the right hands the first time. You won't regret it!

Bought a 1978 bus that was in rough shape and not running for many years. I did what I could do to get it running, but could not get it started. Had it towed to NuVintage. The guys at NuVintage got it running, identified all the same problems that I had seen when working on it myself, and told me what I could get away with fixing later (non-safety stuff) and what needed immediate attention (like super old fuel lines). They quoted me a price over the phone and came in within 2% of that price. So there were no surprises. When my wife and I picked it up from their shop, it ran like a dream. I found that they love your VW as much as you do. Great service and we were happy!

These guys were awesome. Didn't have the part I needed new so they gave me a used one for free. Great resources for aircooled VWs. support your local parts shop.

Went to Nuvintage to acquire a clutch kit for my Bus, prices are quite reasonable and they have a large selection of parts, both hard to find and common parts. The attendant was polite and knowledgeable about Volkswagens.

They rebuilt my 1974 Super bug engine, two years ago, and it's never ran better. They also let me know of other things that needed replacing, as well as other things that might need to be replaced later. Gave me tips on how to "brake-in" my new engine, what oil to use, and to come back 1000 miles later for a discounted Re-tune carburator. To adjust the engine to the way *I* use it. (I don't drive it hard, or anything, everyone drives their car in a different way and they tune the car for the way you drive)They also sell VW parts and let me know what car brands are better than others through experience.

I own a 1974 Beetle. It was running poorly. I dropped it at Nu Vintage to get repaired. They said it needed a new engine.I approved the repair. The bottom line is, it never ran any better after they replaced the engine and every time they said bring it back, they would work on it and then would charged me again, for something else. $2200,00 later, it is in no better condition than before they worked on it. They obviously don't know what they are doing!!!

Worst customer service that I have received from almost anywhere. I've never had a sales person talk to a customer like that before. RUDE and condescending. Needless to say I'd rather give my money to a faceless company on the internet than give this local company any of my money. Good luck keeping customers with an attitude like that.
