I went off reviews to choose this shop. I dropped off my vehicle at 8am & it was done by 11am. I am a pregnant woman w/2 other young children. So for this shop to not jerk me around & give me a fair price & be honest of the small issue that needed to be fixed, means to world.I am beyond grateful! Thank you

There's a reason these guys are usually booked out a couple weeks, they've got great mechanics and knowledgeable staff all around. I gave them a pretty poor description of the issues I was having with my 91 bronco and they diagnosed, purchased the part, and replaced it all in two days at a reasonable price. Will ve back in the future, thanks guys.

I have used Active Transmission for over 10 years. They have always done a good job and been great at diagnosing the problems on my Dodge Cummins. This is an honest shop. A couple years ago my transmission was acting up and I was sure I needed a rebuild. After they checked it out they told me it was just a burned out wiring harness. I have also had my transfer case serviced here, along with my hydra boost replaced. They check out my truck and let me know if there are any other issues that I need to have dealt with. Some of my other trucks they have done full rebuilds on transmission and I have never had a problem with the work that has been done here. If I have questions Jeff will find the answers. They think through repairs here instead of just throwing parts at a truck. This shop stands behind there work!Service: Transmission

A little misunderstanding in our phone conversation - they do not work on Audi cars - but Jeff took my car in when I got there, put it on the rack and they diagnosed the leaks in the transmission. He filled with fluid. We called the foreign car shop behind him, he spoke with them for me explaining what he found and helped me make an appointment. They were very kind, friendly (even the dog) and professional. and best of all for no charge. I truly appreciated their kindness.Service: Transmission

These Guys are amazing! I had my transmission go out in my work van so I couldn t be out for a long period of time, they were able to squeeze me in & get it rebuilt very quickly! Very nice, honest & reasonably priced & my transmission has never ran so well! Very much recommend these guys! Thank you for your hard work!

We were driving through Denver on July 4th when we had a transmission problem.. We did not know where to go since it was 4th of July. We called our transmission expert in Reno Nevada and he recommended that we call Active Transmission. Then I talked to a friend of mine in Denver and he also recommended Active Transmission. Of course they were not open on the 4th of July so we showed up there at 6 AM the next morning.. When I talked to Jeff you could tell he was sympathetic but he also stated that he was 3 weeks behind. I asked him if he could please help us and he did. We unhooked our travel trailer and took it to my brother-in-law's house and Jeff worked on the truck. He called us at noon and said the truck was done. The price was fair And we couldn't have asked for more. I will never forget Jeff nor Active Transmission. Jeff and his guys are amazing! My beloved 2006 Mazda 3 with 190,000 miles needed a clutch They found some other issues as well that I was unaware of Everything was explained in terms I could understand and the work was done in a very timely manner. I was taken care of as if it was the most important car in their shop. The car feels like it did when it was new! Thanks to James and BJ too! You guys are the best!

I will totally refer you to everyone :)Update: car was fine for a year then transmission started acting up again and when I tried to get a hold of Jeff to take him up on his warranty he could not be reached! Ended up having to trade off the car for something newer.

Jeff at Active Transmission is not only very knowledgeable, but one of he most kind people I have ever met. I was having some transmission problems, so I called the shop to ask what to do. After adding some transmission fluid, I dropped it off and they fixed my coolant lines and an axel bearing at a very affordable price.This is an 04 Jeep with 174k miles on it, so I asked if while it was in there if they could do a once over, and give me rough estimates on any other issues.When I came to pick it up, Jeff spend about 30 minutes with me, going over all the issues, answering all my questions, even showing me around the shop and where they rebuild the transmissions. It felt like they had nothing to hide and that instead of just telling me about a part, he was willing to show it to me.Seriously, I can t say enough good things about these guys. Trustworthy, thorough, and fast. This will be the place I bring my Jeep for a long time!

Jeff and his merry men of the shop were AMAZING!!! They were able to help my mother Judie get her 1997 Ford Taurus working and it's been completely fine ever since. They were extremely courteous, friendly and fast. The car came back clean without all the smudge marks you find on other vehicles. They were simply amazing and we appreciate them more than they know! Wow! Do yourself a favor and please use them if you have ANY car or truck issues!!! Call them now and tell them Clinton from Keller Williams Realty sent you!

They replaced my transmission, two weeks later it failed again and I was told every now and again they receive a "lemon". FYI warranty was not renewed, and I had to tow it on my dime. Ok they replaced it and no problems until my main seal started leaking, transmission shop that will charge you 2k and for a "new" transmission and not add a 12$ part... Umm not very professional. Now I have to pay another 1k to replace a 12$ part... Don't cut corners and claim to be professional. Detroit transmissions is down the block... 1180 W 52nd ave 80221... 3yr. 100k warranty... fun fact... think about it...

Jeff and Vern were extremely helpful and did a complete rebuild of my 1953 Chevy transmission. They met all of my service expectations and were very friendly and will get all of my transmission business in the future...I would highly recommend their shop.

A big thanks to Jeff and the guys at Active Transmission! I took them my 2004 Infiniti, which had a bad vibration that began at just under 60 mph and was unbearable and scary at 70 mph. They diagnosed a bad drive shaft u-joint between the engine and the transfer case and replaced the entire drive shaft. Had it not been replaced, Jeff said, it could have failed and put a hole in the engine block. Jeff was prompt and courteous in his communications. The price was fair. I'm greatly relieved to have this problem solved. I highly recommend Active Transmission to anyone with running gear problems.

I went to Doug's Automotive to have front end noise checked out. They said I had a leaky transmission & needed to get it checked out. Since Active was on way home it seemed like a no brainer to stop.

My Xterra was in awful shape, hardly ran with nasty sludge everywhere a nice liquid should have been--seemingly out of nowhere (fine one day and on it's last leg the next). I was referred to Active Transmission by my local mechanic when he realized it was a transmission issue. My mechanic told me Jeff and his father were honest, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. I found that to be 100% true. (Extremely important qualities in a mechanic for a single gal like myself who knows nothing about cars and could easily be taken advantage of.) My car was basically worst case scenario but Jeff took the time to walk me through each step of how my car would be fixed, physically pointed out the problems/causes, and was upfront about all the pricing (which was very fair, I asked around). Even once my car was fixed Jeff took the time to check on it, making sure I was 100% satisfied. Though I wouldn't wish transmission problems on my worst enemy, I would recommend anyone I know to Active Transmission.

I can only give two stars, and here is why:Took my truck to this shop in July of 2017 due to a leak at either the transmission and/or transfer case. They discovered that the transmission had been leaking at the pan, and extension housing gasket. I had them service the transmission and replace the rear output shaft seal on the transfer case, and extension housing gasket. However, the transfer case was still leaking two weeks later. When I removed the fill plug on the t-case, approximately one quart of ATF drained out, meaning they had either over-filled the t-case during re-assembly, or the input shaft seal was damaged, allowing the transmission to leak into the transfer case. Sure enough, the transmission was low by about the same amount that drained out of the t-case.Took my truck back and they discovered that the input shaft seal had indeed been damaged upon reassembly and replaced it with no charge to me. Unfortunately, they failed to catch that the transfer case seal (the seal between the two halves of the transfer case housing) had been blown out due to the transmission over-filling the transfer case. I had Ford resolve this issue when I had my truck in for some other repairs recently, and has not leaked in 2000 miles.Unfortunately I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this shop if they need three visits to resolve something as simple as the above.

I checked my '91 Jaguar xj6 in the shop recently for a differential overhaul, which isn't an easy job requiring removal of the rear suspension subframe. Vern took the differential apart and rebuilt it, requiring new bearings and seals, it took them a bit of time but was well worth the wait.

Honest people. They fixed my 09' Duramax Allison transmission in 3 days. Fairest price around. I had a nightmare experience with ATS, these people are solid.
