I was visiting from LA and my 67 Mustang had a serious suspension issue. I just rocked up and Carson and his fellas stopped what they were doing and took a look - identifying the issue (a broken strut rod) straight away. Carson rummaged for a long time through his parts inventory to see if he had the correct bolt to set the new strut - ultimately I had to have the car towed back to LA but these guys get five stars for being helpful, responsive, and taking time out free of charge to try and help a brother out. Respect to you chaps! And thanks again

I was very disappointed. I brought my 2019 ram pro master and was not able to get the spark plugs changed. I was informed that the reason behind this was because he did not have the proper diagnostics equipment. To be able to talk to the vehicle. As disappointing as this was I do know he did a little bit of work on working on it and he did not charge me anything for it. So the customer service was pretty good. The only thing was I was not able to get my vehicle fixed which was not good. Plus with the prices of gas and having to spend time to go out there. But he was nice and did not charge me anything for checking. I am sure he never worked on this model so he did not know. All in all good place just wished I was able to get my vehicle serviced. 5 stars for good customer service and giving it a try and not charging when he could not fix it.

Really disappointed with the overall experience here. I took my car in to get looked at and explained what was wrong with it. I was charged $$$ for them to just look at it. New to this area and was not expecting to have to pay that excessive amount. Back home if no service was done depending on labor most you would pay is $$. I understand it was for the service but for that much I should ve just went with my gut. If you have a good feeling you know what is wrong with your car and you can do it yourself. It s not worth the hassle to take it in!

Loved this business!!! They were SO!!! Honest & very helpful & reasonable. They squeezed my Van in for some AC service. They could have lied to me & told me they serviced all kinds of things but instead it was just the cab filter that needed to be changed. Works GREAT!!! Now I know why they have been in business for over 40 years. :-) Had called another mechanic for this problem BUT NEVER GOT A CALL BACK :-( :-( Highly recommend this business. --- Thank You Woods Automotive you have a permanent customer!!! :-)

Awesome place! I busted my truck's drive shaft working on base on a Thursday afternoon, limped my truck out to asphalt Friday afternoon, and had it towed to Woods Auto Repair, which was the only place of the five I called to actually answer their phone and immediately agree to deal with my truck. They're closed on the weekends, but they called me by noon on Monday with my options and had a new drive shaft delivered and installed before they closed on Tuesday. Excellent customer service and extremely competent mechanics.

I broke down near by this shop was towed there. I was greated promptly told them what was wrong and they said I had a few cars ahead of me but would get to me as soon as they could. I asked them if they could tell me of a place to eat within walking distance and they did. I had some breakfast after working my Graveyard shift. I went back and had to wait for them still. I think I waited maybe 2 hours even know their lot was full of vehicles needing repair. They got it fixed and the charge was minimal. They understood I was up all night and made every effort to get me done in a reasonable time. I would highly recommend these guys they know what they are doing and are not out to cheat you. I thank them for there efforts in taking care of my vehicle.

Had car trouble in yucca and this was the only mechanic that would even lay eyes on my car even though they had a completely full schedule. They said they would take a look when they could, gave me advice on where I could hang out while I waited and then called me a little while later to say they didn t have the part I needed. I cannot stress enough how much I appreciated their transparency and willingness to help me out. They helped me game plan and strategize my options to get back to LA and they didn t have to do any of that. If I m ever back that way and need car fixing I will definitely hit them up. They were a beacon when no one else would help, thanks Jennifer.

Excellent auto repair shop. I have always preferred the single owner mechanics for all my vehicles and have been fortunate that I've only had 3 in the last 30 years - an outstanding record for each of them and kudos for me for being able to select the best. When I moved to this area I was concerned about my next mechanic being as good and honest as I'd had before. When my husband asked around for references every single person he asked, including in our membership private club, led us to Woods. For 2 years now we've had experienced, pleasant, clean, prompt and dependable service we can trust. With 3 cars ranging in ages from 12 to 6 years, 2 of them known for high maintenance costs, it makes not difference what we take in, price is super reasonable and no mistakes are made. I trust them with my cars bc service like this helps us keep them forever.

I needed a shot of grease in one of my U-joints. These guys took care of it for me. I had stopped at several other places in town prior to here and noone wanted to do it. One shop wanted me to make an appointment and come back several days later. It takes about 3 minutes to squirt the grease in. Thanks again guys.

Our Pathfinder broke down with an engine failure and they were able to get the parts and fix the thing in a matter of 5 hours. Super helpful staff and very friendly, they even went down with the price a bit, seeing our struggles. Definitely a great place to get your car fixed up, I would highly recommend the Woods business!

Friendly staff that managed my indifferences professionally. One resolution going forward; to insure with customers that vehicles to be smog checked should be driving out on the road for at least 150+ miles before arriving...or should insure that the battery hasnt been disconnected recently which resets the computers and they dont turn on for those mentioned miles PLUS proper DRIVE CYCLE performancesince "driving the car more" is the one thing i was told to do before coming back for mentioned extra service charge :-( (was not charged extra)...I had to do research afterall, since I thought I could be guided by informative service people but simply was not. just told me "sorry" and kind of stared at me.My Nissan Maxima 2000 did not pass twice that day, even after driving said additional miles.Update;Ive bought my own obdi-ll scanner for $40 at walmart for my ride and can see where i pass and fail ..... learned through further research that each vehicle has a DRIVE CYCLE and must be performed by driver to turn on monitor sensors computer systems and such especially if battery has been disconnected recently, resetting computers... idk anything but through my own free will i learned a lot that will save me from uninformative auto mechanics who unfortunately are well known as extortionists... which is why people should turn to research first before blatantly failing a test thinking the car is new enough that it would pass pfft.... pretty sure my batt was disconnected recently.anywho scared to get a smog will update again when i finally pass, elsewhere.

I took my Toyota Van in to have my Thermostat replaced. (I did not have the part) they got the part and replaced it in less than five hours.I'm going back for more work done, and will stick with them from now on.After a Terrible Experience at Ultimate Motors, these guys more than made up for it.

I drove up to Woods Automotive in Yucca Valley on Monday afternoon 1/27/2014 after leaving Ultimate Motors and talking to another mechanic because my check engine light turned on and my car started rough in Yucca Valley. I went into the office and started talking to a man sitting behind the counter area. He said he was a customer (the only customer there that I saw). Then the receptionist (possibly an owner since she said her techs) came in and I started talking to her about the car and that I thought I should stop driving it and leave it there and could they look at it . I drove to them because they are said to have scanners for Toyotas. She explained the scanner process and said it takes 3 hours or so on an older car. I had hoped someone could at least look under the hood. She said her "Techs" were too busy and I could make an appointment on Wednesday. I asked if I could leave the car there for diagnostics and repairs and get a ride home ( 12 miles to Landers and a bit more for my house probably less than a mile more). She became rude and condescending about this and how the "Techs" would not possibly have any time to do anything like that kind service. I was left speechless by the treatment I received in their office. I left and will never return to them for anything related to cars. Maybe getting rid of me had been the goal anyway. My car died on the drive home. I am putting one star because it is a required field. Zero stars would be my choice.
