I began calling around for quotes for some work I didn't feel confident performing myself. Everyone from the receptionist to the mechanic was professional, friendly and courteous. The price wasn't inflated and the service was professional. They've earned my trust.

It was the only place in town i could get a se day smog appointment that i booked easily on lineThe customer service was excellent and the waiting area is very nice and excellent air condition lol my smog took way less time then i thought they had me in and out and didnt try and pressure me like other shops to " pay for a pre imspection first". Which is a tactic so you spend more mo ey. I totally reccomend them for your smog check over finwalls which used to be the only place i went and would have most likely but it was over a week wait and im glad there waiting area is nothing compaired to A1 and A-1 is way faster and friendlier

Excellent excellent excellent excellent I can't say enough they fixed what two shops before them didn't and they were willing to check it out right away no problem. Quickly got me on my way home now to Yuma Arizona I would definitely recommend them highly recommend them Jennifer was top-notch in getting things handled and getting the guys on it right away. And the price was very reasonable considering it did fix the problem LOL thank you to all the staff there for promptly getting me safely back on the road again. Beth Fox

Headed out for vacation, 3 � hrs on the road with my wife and 2 young children. Thermostat failed. Water pump blew freeze plugs and gasket. Had to call a tow truck and an auto repair place. What a blessing they were. They were very friendly and kind to my family doing all they could in the office to accommodate my 2 and 4 year old as we waited for diognosis.Due to circumstance they pulled my truck in the shop to protect our stuff as we had to find a motel room. A mechanic began the work that night preparing for arrival of new parts.Installed new water pump, thermostat, and did several checks to make sure all was OK and no other problems would arise.Had us back on the road the next afternoon, and not with an emergency repair price either. Just an honest parts and labor bill.What great quality work and people.Thanks for the great vacation we got to finish.A1 auto is excellent. Did I mention they were really busy at the time? Came here for SMOG! They were absolute lifesavers! Thank you so much for the last minute save! Will always take my business to them, they deserve it! #superstars!! **Also, not sure what happened to all these people 6 months ago, but they ARE A CERTIFIED SMOG place and it only takes about 20min +/-.

I would recommend it. They are fast. If you need it done quickly, this is the place. They do ambulances, forestry, fire trucks, diesels, and all sorts of vehicles.

I DO NOT recommend taking your vehicle here. I was fortunate to avoid a profoundly expensive and unnecessary ordeal.Took my truck in for a Leak Down Test and they gave me a diagnosis that would have ended up in the several thousands of dollars (engine replacement, minimum $2,000 in shop time, repairing all the "new" inherited issues, etc), so I researched the issue myself and consulted a friends high end technician/mechanic. He confirmed that the diagnosis was basically impossible, so I had the repairs done elsewhere (top end only [same engine], all working, cleared smog, registered now).Returned to Todd at A1 and told him the story, suggesting he review that issue with his mechanic, and asked if there was anything he could do to correct the mistake. He simply said "I'm glad you got your valves fixed..."AGAIN, Would not recommend, will not return, DO NOT TRUST.Service: Engine repair

I was traveling on vacation and my wheel bearing went out. I was towed to A1 and they got right to it. They got me back on the road in 2 days. They had to send a driver to Redding to get some parts, a 4-Hour round trip and didn't charge me extra for it. In fact the price ended up less than what he originally quoted me. I am very pleased. Have had no problems since.

The great place to take your vehicle or have it towed to especially if you're AAA member courteous fast and reliable. Thanks again guys for getting us out of there and doing what you could do for us in all this fire condition on top of the fact. Thanks again Osborn's .

I took my Equinox here for a smog check recently and passed emissions testing. The price was fair and the service was quick! The front service advisor was very nice as well.Overall, I would recommend A-1 Auto if you need a smog check done at a fair price for a newer vehicle. I cannot review any repairs by A-1 Auto as I have yet to take my car there for repair.

Their own website and the CA DMV lists them as Star Smog certified but they are not. Apparently when they changed owners, they did not feel inclined to update their website. I was quoted $800.00 to replace the coils in a 2015 Jetta tsi. Online the coils are $22 each. At O'Rileys they are $37.00 each. A-1 told us the coils are $80.00 each, which would make the labor $480.00. I looked on U-tube, and the installation, (even in the most difficult scenarios) should take an hour to an hour and a half at the most! These people are greedy, and I will never use them!!! Shame on you A-1

Very glad I took my vehicle here for a battery check - service is great and thorough. Also took my truck attached to my 26' 5th wheel in for an evaluation for flipping the RV springs on the 5th as it seemed to sit higher than normal - they explained that all looked good, and said changes not necessary. That's honesty. I will go back for future repairs.

These guys saved our weekend! We broke down on the Friday before a holiday and this shop was closing early. They were not able to do a full fix because the part simply was not available for days and only from the dealership. But these guys found a way to get us back on the road in a safe condition so we could finish our trip. They even took the time to talk to our local dealer to make sure the correct part was on order so it could be installed after the holiday when we returned home. Without these guys, our amazing weekend would have turned into a disaster. We are totally satisfied with the service they were able to provide. THANKS GUYS!

NOT STAR CERTIFIED!! Apparently they haven't been for 2 years or so. They won't tell you on the phone and their website hasn't been updated. When I went back just to let them know their website was wrong the employee was very snarky. You won't get your smog check done and they'll be rude to you in the process. Terrible service. Lost my business!!Brought my toy hauler in for simple wiring job 2 wires to a switch.I bought the trailer new in 2008 and I knew exactly what it needed.Manager has a bad attitude and looking to overcharge. He wanted to charge 2 hrs to connect 2 wires to the hot water switch! It's easy to get to. After some advice from another very helpful shop I went to hardware store bought the 10$ in parts and fixed it 1/2 hour. Sure glad I didn't spend 200$ of my family's hard $ earned $ at a1 auto rv repair. Customer be ware

Lost my serpentine belt and alternator on I-5 between Weed and Yreka. Called shops from Yreka to Grants Pass and was told a 2 week waiting time everywhere EXCEPT A-1. I dropped my car last night and am back driving before noon today. Strongly suggest to passing through motorists or anyone in a hurry. I paid about 100$ less than I was quoted. While my buddy back home may have done it for less but I m not home and I m super happy to only have spent motel money once! Hopefully no more break downs in Yreka but if so I m taking my business here. Thanks again A-1 and Jennifer is great at the front desk

The repairs they did seem to be doing fine, however when our car was in their care someone broke in and stole some of our property. Hope they beef up security so this doesn't happen to anyone else. Wish I could give them 3 1/2 stars and not the full 4.

Towed there by my roadside assistance after experiencing transmission problems on I5 during a road trip. Their recommendation was that the transmission needed to be replaced at a cost of several thousand dollars. I asked for more info on that diagnosis and the details were fairly sketchy. I decided to have my car towed to a transmission shop for a second opinion. As it turned out, they agreed that the transmission needed a complete overhaul. I have to say that I felt much better having the second shop do the work, though.In fairness to A1, their staff was friendly and their owner gave my friend and I a ride to a nearby motel so we wouldn't have to walk there in the heat. I just didn't get the sense they were up for doing a complicated transmission job.

I'm new to the Yreka area and had no idea where my vehicle should go after I broke down in the middle of the street. Someone mentioned A-1 Auto Repair so I had my truck towed there. They kept me aware of the progress on my vehicle and had it fixed as quickly as possible. I definitely recommend A-1 Auto Repair.

very comfortable waiting room. Just one complaint: I was quoted a smog price of 59.6+. On check out I was given a total of 71. to pay with no explanation of increase. Not good.

Due to the negative reviews on Yelp, I was trepidatious to bring my truck to A1. However, the manager at Yreka R.V. Park recommended them, and I m glad I gave them a shot. I found Todd to be very personable, and he waived the diagnostic fee. The cost to replace my water pump was reasonable, and the repairs were completed quickly. While everyone s experience differs, I wouldn t hesitate to visit A1 again.

Broke down on the highway and was towed here. Todd was super helpful and worked hard to make sure we got the parts needed and the repairs were done quickly so our family could get back on the road. Great service!

Very nice owners, I believe it is a family run business. Efficient, friendly, and very reasonable prices. The staff Is knowledgeable in maintaining and repairing vehicles. Got the oil changed in my Dodge Caravan.
