Could not be happier. I came in with a really messed up van from out of town and was in a pinch to be on the road as soon as possible, Robin was super great with explaining everything and communicating to me updates and the guys hustle to figure out the problem and get it done for me. I really appreciate how they made sure to do a good job and did it as fast as possible so we could get back on the road. I would definitely recommend this place. 10 out of 10. I might even go out of my way to get all my vehicle serviced by them from now on.

Valve body replacement on my subaru impreza 2013 seems to have fixed all my issues. Robyn saved me a ton of money when other shops said I had to replace the whole transmission. They had a specialist come in to do the re-programming and were able to fix another small issue on the spot. No one wants to end up at a transmission shop, but I can t tell you how relieved I was to be referred here. From my first phone call with Robyn I knew I wanted my work done here. This shop is thorough, doesn t cut corners, understands what can be fixed and rebuilt and what needs to be replaced. They upgraded some of the parts that came stock to cheap but much better components where needed (replacing factory silicone with gaskets and crush gaskets with steel nipple) they want you to feel taken care of and to have the problem taken care for as long as possible. Work has a warranty and all costs of diagnosis apply to total Bill. Great communication, highly recommend.

Robyn and the entire team at Transmission Specialists are awesome! My 89 GMC Suburban had been sitting for a year and had a flat tire and dead battery when we had AAA tow it down to the shop. I called ahead to let them know of the issues and that I would come to change the tire in the morning before they opened but Robyn wouldn't have it, she reassured me that it was not a problem and that they would put the spare on for me. The price was on the higher end of the quote but considerably less than every other shop I contacted and one of the only shops that would even do the work on an older vehicle. Robyn is a sweetheart and made sure to keep me in the loop every step of the way. Highly professional, extremely helpful, and fairly quick service, I highly recommend everyone take their vehicle to Transmission Specialists for all their transmission needs!

More than a week ago, I drove to the shop to see if they'd do a simple drain & fill on an older, non American car. Told yes and made the appointment. Today I called to let them know I was on my way. Surprise, the appointment's been cancelled. Didn't leave me a message. No space, they're too busy. Reschedule? They won't work on my car. Just realize people take time off from work to bring cars in. Same day cancels isn't a great way to do business.

The service provided by transmission specialist is 2nd to none. I made my first call and Robyn was very helpful and honest. So much so i called back 30 mins later and got an appointment the same day. And by 5pm my truck was fixed and for a great price. My experience here was top-notch. I received expert information and friendly service. Had 2 cars' transmission fluid changed, one of them needed a cleanup from a previous incorrect fluid replacement elsewhere that was causing worrisome engine problems. They tested and diagnosed, and did what was needed to correct. Now I know where to go with confidence for anything transmission-related. Transmission specialist rebuild my transmission Six months later I had an issue with my car and towed it to another shop. The other shop told me that there was some ground wires not connected right. They asked me if I had some transmission Done to my car. I said yes they said that transmission specialist did not connect some ground wires correctly.Try to go back to tell them and to see If they can refund me on the diagnostic check that I had done to my car They refused.I would never take it back to transmission specialist if I had a transmission problem. I don't believe that I was misled from the other shop, but you live and learn things happen for a reason and I believe this happen that way I can find a better shop that I can take my car to. Never had so much issues with my car till I took it to transmission specialist.Service: Transmission

I took my car in for a diagnostic and they said that my transmission was bad and needed repair. They quoted me $1600 and called me a couple days later and said that my reverse was also going out and that they needed to repair it as well and that the new quote was $2650. I requested my car back and they said that it would be $800 to give me my car back and that they wouldn t put the transmission back in. They do the bait trick by quoting low and switching quote mid jobService: Transmission

I didn't end up bringing my car in. After explaining my situation to the women on the phone, she researched my issue and called me back. She was so beyond helpful! She really took the time to help me EVEN THOUGH it was not anything they could do themselves (because the last place gave me false info, not because they were incapable) I will absolutely go here if and when I ever need transmission work done.

I took my blazer to this shop with major problems. They diagnosed the numerous issues pretty quickly an promptly gave me a quotes for basic repairs up to building a transmission that would last all the punishment I dish out. My new trans was installed quickly an hasn't had a single issue since.

I highly recommend Transmission Specialists for any of your vehicle transmission needs. They have very fair pricing and treat their customers with dignity and respect. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. When I spoke with them on the phone I had no clue what these things they were taking about were, they gladly explained and now know there's a solar system under the hood! Knowledge, friendly staff. Fair prices and answered all my questions. I had just bought my car used, now I know when the transmission has been serviced. This gives me pice of mind and possibly avoid a costly repair bill later. I recomend this business and will return myself.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS SHOP! I have had the misfortune of taking three vehicles to this repair shop and must to say don't make the same mistake I made. I have had 2 transmissions rebuilt and a rear axle done here. The first vehicle that I took to this shop I had the transmission rebuilt and it is still in good running condition.I took another vehicle to have the rear end looked at and I was told it needed to be rebuilt. Al quoted the rear end rebuild costing approximately $2300 but don't remember the exact figure. I requested a breakdown on the cost and labor was roughly $700 and roughly $1600 for parts.....pretty steep! Al's explanation for such a high cost on the parts was that there wasn't rebuild kit available so each part needs to be purchased separately. Can you say liar! After calling around(literally 15 minutes) I located the parts needed in a kit for $900 less than what Transmission Specialists had quoted me. Odd since Al had said a kit was not available therefore time consuming and more expensive getting all of the parts. Since I found the exact same parts considerably cheaper I asked them if they would do the install if I were to supply them with the parts. Hesitantly they agreed. When I went to pick the parts up one of the gentleman behind the counter asked me if I was from Transmission Specialists because they had asked for the same rebuild kit. Bizarre.....it appears that Al was getting the same parts from the same place I was getting them but wanting to charge me more than double what they were paying. I would love to make 130% plus or minus on customers but I have a conscience. They probably get them for even less because they are a shop with a business relationship with this place.I unfortunately also had the transmission rebuilt in another vehicle by Transmission Specialists prior to the situation with the rear end rebuild. 18 months after that transmission was rebuilt with only 35K miles on it the rear planetary(part of the transmission) was toast. Al's explanation for this was that the radiator must be plugged up and consequently the transmission overheated. Unfortunately they only offer a 12 month 12K mile warranty on their work. I now understand why their warranty is so limited. Al quoted the repair costing me $2714.78, $460.77 to R/R radiator and $2351.01 to rebuild the transmission again and minus $100 for an online coupon(how generous). These figures are exact because they are recent and I have them on my voicemail. I had no intention of paying to have anything done there again. I thought that they would man up and say this should not have happened and we will do this free of charge or at least little expense, after all it had only 35K miles since the rebuild. I should have known they wouldn't since they tried to rip me off just a year prior on the rear end repair. I decided to get a second opinion and surprise surprise another shop said something very different. It was obvious that the transmission needed to be rebuilt but the radiator was fine. The other shop informed me that my vehicle had an external cooler separate from the radiator. Hmmm, why was I told that the radiator needed replacement? Also, the external cooler was not plugged because it was flushed and had no obstruction. So the transmission could not have overheated as I was told by Al and the repairs Transmission Specialists said were necessary were definitely NOT necessary. When the transmission was removed and taken apart I was also told that whomever did the rebuild "did not do me any favors", in other words they cut corners. Long story short, I had my vehicle repaired elsewhere for less money and a warranty of 3 years and 36K miles. You do the math, don't forget about how Transmission Specialists will do whatever they can to attempt to rip you off.

I was working in woodland and my dodge 4x4 broke down out on the hwy on Thursday with a blown out overdrive unit that blew up. As I was laying n the ground trying to assess the damage a vehicle pulls up an its Curtis, the owner of Transmission Specialists. We had my vehicle towed to his shop (mind you i didn't get pd until the following day and they paid for my towing) and actually had an overdrive unit at the shop in stock. By 4pm the following day after they let me join in with them for free pizza and pop and letting me work out of their lobby, they had me running and out the door again...... not sitting on the side of the road until I got paid on Friday like I expected I was going to have to do. We worked out a deal for the remaining 200.00+change which I didn't have and they granted me the ability to be mobile and continue making money.To top it off, I received a courtesy call from the office manager who was wanting to make sure the truck was doing fine and to make sure I was comfortable with the work I received. To that I'll say yes indeed and I'm super satisfied with the job and allowances they made for me in my situation......cause I woulda been screwed if I tried to do it myself.So for anyone considering using this shop, my answer to that is a big YES although I hope you don't have to throw your whole paycheck at such an unexpected expense

Less than 2 years later back again $707.00One year later back again another $600.00Two years later lost drive fourth gear taking it back to c if they Are good on it? They recently rebuilt my Toyota transmission. It was done in 2 days and at a fair price. Very pleasant to deal with. Car runs great!
