I recently visited the Walmart Auto Care Center in Windsor to get new tires put on my vehicle, and I must say, I had a highly disappointing experience.Upon arriving, I explained my request to the service representative and was surprised when they informed me that they couldn't service my vehicle because they couldn't turn it off. It became apparent that they hadn't even attempted to start the car properly, as it was in Accessory mode. I immediately brought this to the attention of the service representative, who was conveniently about 4 feet away from the car. (This is a push to start so your foot has to be on the break... All modern cars are like this. FYI)To demonstrate that there was no issue with starting or turning off the car, I proceeded to start and shut off the vehicle using the push button multiple times (5-6). Despite this, they persisted in their refusal to mount or balance the tires, claiming they couldn't service the car.This lack of effort and unprofessionalism is truly disappointing. It's disheartening to see a service center not taking the time to properly assess the situation and, instead, turning away a customer without even attempting to address the issue. As a customer, I expect a basic level of competence and dedication to providing service, both of which were sorely lacking in this instance. If they needed me to drive the car in to the bay I would have.I hope the management at the Walmart Auto Care Center in Windsor takes notice of this review and addresses the need for better training and customer service. A simple attempt to start the car in the correct mode would have resolved the issue, and the refusal to do so reflects poorly on the overall professionalism and training of the establishment.

Refused an oil change because the top part of my dipstick is broken, still easy to pull out you just need pliers. Never had a problem with it at any other mechanic. Just seems lazy that they couldn t handle it. The worker I talked to was very nice but the service manager is terrible. 0/10 dont waste your time here

Best oil change ever!! Extremely quick and efficient and only cost me about $56 to get in oil change. In comparison, Valvoline is a total scam and charged me an arm and a leg to get in oil change meeting around $130. This place is the best place to get an oil change in America. Don t underestimate how good this place is. The mechanics got the job done so quickly and thoroughly that I came out with a smile on my face and I can t say that amount about most franchise shops that change my oil.Will only go here for oil changes!

Update. 4 years ago, I swore that I would never come back to this place fo. r an oil change again. The people who worked there were. and it wasn t uncommon for an oil change to take 4 to 6 hours. I was in the area and thought I would try it again. I went in on 1/16/2023. To my surprise, the service coordinator was pleasant and friendly. I was told about 2 hours for an oil change and got my car back in less time than that. They even send you texts of your vehicles progress. Friendly, affordable and work done in a reasonable amount of time. I can t really ask for more than that. Whoever is hiring people in the automotive service department, please keep up the great work! Thank you!

Dropped off my car for an oil change was told I was next in line. I arrived 2 hours later to find out. My car. Had not even been touched when I asked customer service. About a time frame that could not give me one. So I LEFT. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME

Martin and his crew were very helpful! He seems like such a funny guy. I dropped in to get my oil changed and my left brake light changed. He seemed like he actually cared about my car and what little I did to take care of it lol, and now realizing that probably other Walmarts who did the pit crew probably didn t really actually look at the other stuff in my car. I m a skeptical person normally so when he said my air filter needs to be changed he physically showed it to me and compared it to a new one and it was quite shocking how bad it was. He also informed me I had pretty much run out of oil completely (oops) and explained to me how my car oil % dashboard thing could be wrong (oil could be leaking somewhere) vs a previous person just told me it could be wrong but didn t explain why. He also saw that a lot of acid built up and again showed me a picture (which actually one day led my battery to be dead and needing to be jumpstarted) and cleaned it up and sprayed stuff to help dissolve it! (Why didn t the geico guy who jump started it do that??) anyway I got great service and it was super cheap! And it may have taken a couple of hours but Walmart always takes at least an hour for just an oil change already.

Had an appointment to have two tires installed on my car. Service was great. No problems whatsoever.

If only I could give them a zero! Two trips there for a fairly straight forward headlight swap (if only they would watch the youtube). Instead they scheduled me the following day when the tech didn't know how to do it (the first day the tech knew how it was done). So, I wasted 2 trips (coming from Cazadero during the storm) and the second one had me waiting over an hour to be told they couldn't do it. I know we all think of Walmart as cheap but there are other prices to pay.

Wrost customer service wouldn't pick my calls when they did pick up my call they just sit listen to me talk wouldn't say anything this was serval calls hear them cough and ppl call for customer service over there intercom I'd call them out several minutes hang up on me they canceled my tire appointment without notification but they did give me my money back

I had to replace one of my tires. Unfortunately I did not buy the warranty. The Walmart that I bought the tires from did not have the same tire so I came to this location. Although it was a little understaffed they were able to make an appointment for me and replace the tire in a timely manner. This is my second time using the Walmart Tire Center and and both times have been great.next time definitely will be spending the extra money on warranty.

No problems with the service they provide. Only annoying thing is having to make an appointment because if you call to make an appointment the phone just rings and rings and if you go in the store to make an appointment (which is such a drag) you have to wait 20 minutes for an associate to help you.

I've been getting tires here for years and watched the employees skill set diminish steadily.Today I called to make an appointment and was told I had to drive there to make the appointment. But not to worry if I came before 4 they would fit me in. I arrived at 2. The guys making the appointments had no idea how to run the computer and told me I had to come before 4 to make an appointment. It was 2. He went out back and talked to the guy I talked to on the phone. That guy said if he doesn't have an appointment it will be Monday. Today is Friday. I went across the street to les schwab. Have been watching the Walmart garage for 35 minutes. 3 people are working and not 1 car has been in there.

Was told it would take 1 1/2 to 2 hours to fix a slow leak and rotate tires. 3 hours later I called a number of times and no one would answer. Went to the store and was told there were cracks in tires and they couldn't do the work. Tires are 3 years old with less than 30K on them. Was told they left a message. Showed him my phone that proved they hadn't called. Employee response was "I don't know what to tell you". I would give them zero stars if that option was available. They have lost my business and hopefully those that read this.

The time to shop Walmart is EARLY! They open at 6am, well before the crowds get out of bed. It's hard to beat their prices on car oil & grease, and while you're there you can pick up a few essentials for making a lunch-time sandwich.

Today I went there and they helped my car changed a new battary only cost $58+tax. $0 for Labor fee. I'm so soso happy to that! Unbelieveble! In china, we call those people "LeiFeng" that mean who can help the people doing some Meaningful and worthwhile things that don't need charge anything! And during waiting time around 1-2 hour, I can shopping at Walmart and lots stuff are cheaper than another. least, I got battart changed and lots stuff back. It's so wonderful! Don't need an appoitment!I'm very apreciate for you all!Thank you Walmart Auto care centers and Mr. Magin! Today they help me changed and fixed my car hubcap which was fall down couldn't find and free. Thanks for Mr. Alston and Wong.

Had 4 sports car tires that I purchased online mounted and balanced with new valve stems installed. Took a few hours but the price was way less than the local shops.Edit: Had 4 more tires mounted and balanced but this time they forgot to put a small center cap back on a wheel and I didn't notice until I got home.

Took 2 hours to change 4 tires, watched the guy kick the door open of my car three times because it wouldn t stay open (Older car), leaned on my car and almost used my antenna to help him from getting up

Have been severely disappointed in the service I get here so much so that I stopped going here even though walmart has some amazing deals on tires. Now I simply buy from Amazon, Simple Tire, or Discount Tire (Americas Tire). Amazon/Simple tire have agreements with several tires shops around town that will install the tires for a small fee, it's quite competitive with Walmart and cheaper most of the time.First, they wouldn't work on my trailer because they don't work on anything they can't get into their bay, this wasn't always the case as I have previously had the same trailer get tires there and their guy brought out a jack and took the wheels off right outside the bay. Most likely the employee simply couldn't be bothered to drag the jack outside to change the tire.Now the service is so bad that they don't even answer their phone! The few bucks you may save here isn't worth the bad service or hassle. The reason they are this way is simply because they are the only walmart that does tires in this area.

Was told 30 minutes only one car ahead of me....90 minutes later just getting pulled in..I went shopping for an hour and figured it would be waiting for me...sorry I spent the other hundred bucks on merchandise and rewarded that place with my hard earned money...Walmart might as well just shut down the oil changes all together. It used to be a fairly quick place with better customer service...I guess with the low unemployment rate right now they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel...maybe it's time to get with it and pay your employees better...maybe they will be better for it. BOTTOM LINE....YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. If you don't mind the possibility of waiting a couple hours for an oil change while you support a greedy corporation with other purchases you will surely make while you wait then head on in....I'll just look on Groupon or pay the extra 10 bucks at the 15 minute spot....it's worth it in too many ways....Sincerely,Another former customer

I went every day for a week at different times and still was unable to get new tires. The next week I went same thing. "5 hour wait, we need our lunch first then a 3 hour wait after, we close in 2 hours". Very unprofessional, not helpful at all. And they don't do appointments.

It I could give this place 0 stars I would. My husband had a flat tire and we initially tried to reach this department via phone 2 hours before closing but no one would answer the phone... so we went in before closing and the associate wouldn't give my husband any service and gave him an attitude if he didn't care at all. We reached out and not one assistant manager would take our call. Calling district tomorrow. Don't even waste your time trying to go here for anything. Spend a little bit more money and go somewhere that cares and actually gives you service.

Saturday tire department opens at 08:00 not 06:00.......Be first for service or expect several hours plus for r and r tire service.A professional "tires only" business makes this Walmart service appearing pathetic and user unfriendly.They are in great need of floor leader management and posted prices for one ton trucks, 4x4's.Also, required are mandatory four tire purchase on 4x4's vehicles even slightly used rubber. "Buy all four if you want "us" to install them."And this is not posted at the tire department.
