The staff was very nice and courteous and the bathrooms were very clean and safe. The location, the potential is really there.Maybe it was the time of the year (March 14-16), but it seemed like this campground has become a little run down. Miniature and Frisbee Golf was unplayable, along with the arcade, horse shoe and bocce ball courts. The hot tub was out of commission. Playgrounds were either roped off or not maintained very well. We left a day early as it started to smell like sewage, this could have been due to 2 homeless campers came in and dumped there tanks in the campground and left. I hope the love can come back to this place and I will follow.

While there last weekend there was a group of 4 RV friends. They had children and 3 dogs. All the dogs were off leash. I have a 16 year old dog which I always walk on leash. When their dog came to say hi my dog barked and I asked them to leadsh their dog. They did not. I complained to the park office who stated they spoke to them. Well they still didn't leash their dog. Sunday morning we found poop in our site. Management after telling a visitor to do or stop doing something should check if they are following the rules. If they don't they should be asked to leave without a refund. I will not return. We all signed rules when entering the park. I guess you just don't have to follow them.

I'll start with, this is my first RV trip. However this was the 4th place we had stayed on this trip. PROS: staff was super friendly and helpful. Lots of activities for kiddos.Negative: there are a lot of people in the park, it's large and has no space for privacy. It is very open, in the area we were at you shared your outdoor space with the neighbor. Seems very odd... also bathrooms were closed in our area and looked like they had been for a while. Very busy people coming and going most of the evening.I would not stay again but maybe we aren't the right kind of people for this type of park. I like a bit quieter and less party when camping.

We have been coming to this place since 2014 when it was known as a KOA but after the ownership change, this place has gone downhill. The volleyball court and Little Tike playground has been closed since my family and I were there last year for Labor Day Weekend in 2022. The Tube Town playground is also a liability and isn't kept up. The canvas and netting on the roof of that playground are cut through making it easy for children to climb out and fall off of the two story structure. On their website and on their campground map that they handout when checking in, advertises a volleyball court, little tike's playground, an ice cream social, and disc golf and yet all were non existent or poorly maintained. We also had to beg for movie nights because the excuses of a partly cloudy sky or it being a Sunday night on a holiday weekend, almost prevented them from showing movies. Some aspects of the cabins as well are declining including one of the master beds in one of our cabins breaking because maintenance has been neglected. My family is paying for these amenities and yet we aren't receiving them as well as no discount for the lack of those amenities. It saddens me that the campground is declining because my family and friends might have to continue our annual Labor Day camping trip else where. I truly hope that these amenities will be fixed by next year because my family and friends have looked forward to coming every year.

We've been coming here every year for years and sadly this place has seriously gone down hill in the last few years. The facilities don't just need attention they look completely neglected. 2 of the 4 bathrooms were out of order the entire time. The staff are in serious need of customer service training - curt at best, aggressive and rude at the worst. Needless to say, we won't be back and will be finding an alternative location. Too bad because if the facilities were in good repair and the staff were at least polite it's a great place.

OVERPRICED. LOUD AT ALL TIMES. UNLEASHED DOG. KIDS SCREAMING AND RUNNING THRU SPOTS. CLOSED PLAYGROUND. TIGHT SPOTS FACING NEIGHBORS.I don't understand how this RV Park had such great reviews. This is one of the worst RV parks I've stayed at in 50 years of RVing. The park is nothing to look at...old, dead potted plants, broken/roped-off playground and the very tight spots are configured to face each other in pairs. If you are camping with someone, that's fun, but if you're not or in our case, we were but they put put our family behind us instead of door-to-door. So, our outdoor space was shared with two smokers and a dog who kept eavesdropping and interjecting into our conversations. We were going to mini golf here, but the course is under trees and there is so much tree debris on the greens that it didn't look possible. At night, our neighbor brought a TV outside to watch a movie. Not that the noise from him was much worse than the dozens of kids that were running and SCREAMING while playing after 10PM.This park is a party park. There were several groups of people together with 20+ chairs in their spots that have no consideration for others who are sleeping. Loud music in the day. The office has you sign a paper acknowledging the rules of the park, but none of the rules are enforced. Oh, and we literally saw a drug deal take place by the office! This place is pure trash. I would never stay here nor recommend it to anyone. A parking lot anywhere would be better. I've been in parks that charge $90+/night and are pristine in every way. This is a park worth $20/night for hookups and a pool, that was massively overcrowded, but had the nerve to charge $90.

I really can't say enough good things about this campground. The effort is obviously there, clean public bathrooms, lots of activities for the kiddos, the hardest miniature golf course EVER, turtles and pigs... We stayed in a near pull through spa site. It was pull through for us because we rented the last two in a row for two trucks and trailers. Staff were beyond polite, the store was well stocked and the most amenities were open. I was going to post video, however nearly all of it has my daughter in them. I'll take some screenshots. They were updating and renovating one playground, (the big one, like a playplace was open) the main spa, pool, and the water park had yet to be opened, (too cold anyway). It is of note that you don't want to turn down the heat on those spas, they do not heat up quickly and do not retain heat well. Took most of the night to get back to 104. We even drove up to Fort Bragg without the trailers, SO noce to go through those slow curves without the extra weight and length! Finally, utilizing the dumping station on the way out for no charge was perfect. Thank you! We plan to return.Nearby activities: A ton to see, hiking the area, we did not see it all.Safety: Ultra safe for our childrenWalkability: Easy peasy to walk around the property

Had a nice three day stay at the RV Park. The price was a little steep as RV prices go BUT if you are a family with young kids there is alot to take in. The bathrooms were clean but could use a little upgrading and maintenance work. The staff was welcoming and helpful. If in the area I would probably stay there again. They do offer a Military discount.

This park is an very old KOA park. the roads need to be fixed, there are leafs and dust and dirt every where. It s way out from the town and its a disaster of a park. First the guy who tried to check us in had no Idea how to work the Camp check in. This parks is extremely old and designed for smaller rv s not 40ft plus and tow vehicle. I asked to see the sites and there were kids and people every where and the rv s spots were like being in a sardine can, stacked up right next to each other. Don t get me wrong families need to have fun, but this park was like Disney land, jammed up with rv s and people. When asked how to get our rv site through the gate people had chairs and parties going on, that would require all of them to move out of the street so we could pass. This reservation was made well in advance and I asked if they had space for a large rv. Since we did not stay they took the first night. Bout if you change your dates, they also charge $10.00 for any changes. The pictures of this camp ground are not what the campground is today. It s young adults running a campground without adult supervision!! ONE HOT MESS of stupid. When asked how to turn around the guy at the front office still had no clue. There is a huge FIRE Hazard, if there was an emergency and had to get all these rv s and people out. This park is like a massive Disneyland gone on Steroids. There were so many people in the park, this park is one massive Covid- spread. If you feel that you need to be in a crazy land and want your kids running all over the place, then this is the place for you. If you have a large RV DO NOT STAY HERE.!!reply from management is a total jokeThese people have no clue on how to run an RV park. Not only did I make a reservation back in June of 2022 we had RV problems and had to change the reservation which cost me $10.00 for the change in the date. and the full night stay, since they could not accommodate a 40ft rv. ( i have the credit cards statements to prove the charges) which I did not stay due the above comments. The lie they tell you is they have room for 40ft rv is not the truth. The site they were providing was for a 25ft trailer. In june I called to make sure they had a site for a total of 60 feet and they assured me this was good. then in Oct 22nd we arrived they charge me the full one night stay since we could not get the rv in the site they provided us. I do not need boost my reviews as this rv parks is bad NEW bears!

I am quite disappointed of the trip I went there few days ago. Many people had good comments about this camping site, but not me. First, I arrived a little bit early at 12:30pm, the staff told me I would be charged more for early arrival, hey it was only half hour early! On website, it wrote New video-arcade game room, but it was locked the whole day! There was movie theater, but no movie was on at night, I don't know it is only for weekend working?! The restroom was disgusting, toilet paper was around the floor and the trash can was full. Even in the shower bathroom, napkin were on the floor the whole day. Other activities were fine.Rooms: cabin was nice

I was so bummed out about this one. We heard wonderful things and were looking forward to visiting this resort. Northern Humboldt had a very bad storm and we were on our way to Mendocino but the roads closed due to weather. We had no way of getting to this resort and rather than giving us credit the staff told us we should have found a way to get to the resort and they would not give us credit. We have 3 little children and did not want to risk the conditions on the road in both directions especially when the roads ended up closing in both directions. I'm very sad to leave a one star and we won't be visiting this resort. We found another RV resort that was more than accommodating, sadly it was not this one.

Our family took a weekend getaway to reconnect and have fun. We were greeted with warm smiles and enthusiasm toward our excitement. We rented a cabin and had no power, but maintenance came and it was on in less than 5 minutes. . . at 10 pm! They were so prompt! Also, the cabins were equiped with AC and it was hot during our stay, we were grateful. Not luxurious, but so comfortable and clean. We would recommend for all age families-- ours was 10 people ages 4-59, mostly 30-somethings, and we all had fun. Pick up at the train depot for the Skunk Train made the trip even easier. Located near stores and sporting goods, and restaurants. Great location, easy drive. Worth the fair prices and excellent memories!

Staff was very kind and checked in on us right before the office closed to make sure that we were still able to make our reservation! They were very accommodating and offered to reschedule if we couldn t make it. Short pit stop for us on our road trip/drive just to get out of sleeping in the rain! There cabins were very cute and dry! Thank you!

I personally knew nothing of this place until we were driving to Mendocino one day and we drove by this wonderful Campground and I said I want to camp there one time. Well it's been about 3 or 4 years later and we finally made it and I couldn't be any happier. Apparently tons of my friends have been here also but I had no idea. The staff was attentive the grounds were clean and the location is serene.I personally loved the staff everyone was attentive, kind and very sweet. They even complimented me on my use of everything on their grounds. Check-in and check-out or smooth. Even when I booked my reservation I called several times before to ask about the pool and restrictions and they were kind every single time. The grounds were clean, manicured, and kept up very nicely. Every section of the campground that we explored was kept up, tidy and clearly tended too. The pool was nice and heated and clean. The hot tub area was clean as well and do to restrictions you have to make reservations which I loved and took full advantage of.Lastly the location, close to town but very much in the country and rustic. Near the cabin that we had there were cows that came down for their feeding. During our hike we came across a snake and the scenery that surrounds the campground is peaceful. My family is asking to go back and I'm recommending to anyone who needs to get away.

The staff was welcoming, happy, and easy to work with. They were also very attentive and made sure to inform us of things like movie night, animal feedings, the splash pad, etc throughout our stay.Activities and amenities are great for families - splash pad, custom jungle gym/playground, petting zoo, RC track, pool, arcade, old west play town, mini golf course, outdoor movie screen, stocked store, clean bathrooms, they've got it all.Spots are available in a wide array of sizes, but some of the premium pull-thru aren't quite large enough for a 40ft 5th wheel and our big truck, so we had to park in overflow. Once the truck was parked, we had plenty of room in the spot and around us.The reason for the drop of star is the lack of overall maintenance and upkeep. Most of the park could do with a coat of paint, weeding, minor repair, etc. We hope that this was simply due to maybe a downturn of staff and finding the right people to get the park ready for the busy season. We will absolutely be returning and hope that they can step up the maintenance and upkeep in the mean time.Overall, thank you to the staff for all their help and for being great with our kids!

We spent 6 months here due to work. From day 1 couldn't of asked for more friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are well kept and clean. There is a great hiking trail up the moutain, a beautiful pond. And you can't beat the view from top.We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely go back.

We enjoyed our stay on weekend girls trip. The staff was incredibly friendly from check in to the time we left. The campground was very clean and well maintained. We stayed in one of the hot tub sites. We accidentally stayed past check out time and were politely asked how much longer we may be and given a grace period to get going as we could not find the keys. I think the only thing to improve on would be more large trash cans to empty your trash in.

10 STARS!!!! I can not say enough good things about this place. My family (me, my husband, and our three kids) stayed for 8 days, and I wish we could have stayed longer. The campsite was clean and spacious. There are so many activities to keep everyone busy and happy. Jungle gym, mini golf, volleyball, disc golf, RC track, the list goes on and on. I'm glad we had 8 days to do it all. The staff was over the top amazing and so friendly. Jack, the general manager, went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. We will definitely be back; my kids are already asking when we are camping there again. Thank you, everyone at Mendocino Redwood RV Resort, for making our stay a one of a kind.

Okay RV park. Most of the sites appeared to be level. Our pull-thru was a little off but handled by the levelers oK. From what I can tell, all the pull-thrus are buddy sites. The only complaint is that the water is dirty. I had just installed a new water filter and after only 3 days the filter needed to be replaced. We camped at Mendocino Redwoods RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Surprising how many locals stay here, which sums up how comfortable and fun it is. Lots of grandparents and parents just getting away making memories for the week end. We rented a pull through site and a simple cabin. For the cabin bring your own linens and they do not have a heater of any type but there are screen door and window along with a porch swing which is very comfy. Corner RV sites have swings and grassy area but need to be booked way in advance. Pull through and back in sites all have fire rings, standing BBQ and picnic tables with which ever hook ups you choose. Old west style play area for the kids also are the scene of outdoor movies in the evening, several play areas for the kids including a water park/overhead sprinklers when the weather is warm, dog run, the Skunk Train runs on the south side of the park, catch and release fishing on site, mini golf, disc golf and a clean swimming pool. The shower water was boiling hot - be careful. There is a dump station, if you aren't staying there it is a very reasonable $15 charge. Short staffed and still great service, the small store has what you may have forgotten including firewood at $10 for a small bundle. Also, if you aren't familiar with the area, we often have pretty foggy nights/mornings so you dont want to leave your camp chairs and other property out unprotected at night.

I would give this place 0 stars but you have to highlight 1 to leave a review. My wife and I have camped all across the country and have never had such a bad experience. We asked for full hookups and were given a site with no sewer. The price - with the Good Sam discount - was $65.00 per night and none of the site features were available. We had to sign 3 different documents before going in: a copy of the park rules, a waiver release and pet rules, all of which are usually just handed out at other parks. There was trash pickup at the camp site( for a $10.00 fee) otherwise you had to walk your trash to the dumpster at the far end of the park. Late checkout (after 11:00 am) requires management approval and a $15 fee. If you plan on a long term stay, there is a 4 page application than must be submitted, requiring information about your bank account, mortgage holder, and much more personal information. In short, this place is heavy on rules and fees, but short on personality and features.
