This is the most shady Unloyal, an honest car repair place to go to. I took my car there over and over and this mechanic cannot figure out the problem, but yet swears he knew what it was and Kept saying it was different things and charging me over and over. Finally I had enough enough I reported him to the Business Bureau, which nothing happened. Nobody wants to touch my car because it is so rigged up. He actually zip tied my brake Pedal Which I recently discovered, knowing that this is the car that I drive my family and not give two craps rigged up my car just so he didn t have to hear Me . I m considering getting lawyer

I will not take my car here again. Initially I had it towed there because one night, my car would not start. It tried to turn over, the dash lit up. I explained very clearly that 1) The tow truck driver could tell it was a fuel problem 2) I know its needed a new computer for YEARS, it was diagnosed at Craig s Auto - this would cause the car to not shift out of park sometimes when I d turn the car on, so I d have to turn the car off, then back on again, and it always worked fine (the ABS system lights would come on). However, I was planning to replace the car soon and ONLY wanted him to diagnose and repair whatever caused the car to not start, NOT the computer, if that was not the cause. So after keeping my car for days, he assured me the only problem was the computer, so I paid around $750 for him to replace it. After 2 weeks, it failed the exact same way, would not start. The tow truck driver listened and AGAIN told me it sounded like a fuel problem. This guy hit my fuel tank with a hammer and the car started. Jose kept the car for days until it finally replicated the problem and failed again, and then told me the problem was the fuel pump. He charged me FULL price (around $760, which included new spark plugs) and denied that the initial problem was the fuel pump. He claimed to have checked everything , including the fuel pump, the first time I brought it in. I absolutely do not believe him. I witnessed what the car was doing both times, and believe whole-heartedly that both times my car failed, the problem was the fuel pump. He should have acknowledged that and at the very least, given me a discount.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place is a rip off. My boyfriend took his car here because they estimated the cost of replacing his fuel pump at $500 for parts & labor. He is a student, working two full time jobs to pay for his rent AND tuition so he really did his research on finding the shop with the best estimate, which is why he went with Baja.He dropped his car off yesterday morning (Monday) and they told him it would be done by 5pm, same day. 5pm passed and they never called him. He had to reach out and inquire & they told him that they ordered the wrong part and they would have it by today (Tuesday) in the morning. Oh well, things happen right? They assured him they'd have his car ready in the morning. Nope, wasn't done until 2pm. Unfortunately my boyfriend had to work and wasn't able to pick up his car, so I took my dad with me and that's when we found out my boyfriend was getting ripped off. They had the cost of the part at $575 and my dad has been the the automotive parts business for over 30 years and knows parts inside and out. He literally called his friend from work to look up the cost of the part in front of the employee: it retails at $371. The employee just stammered that to his knowledge, they paid $575 for the part & that was the going rate for it.At the end he was charged $750 when he really should have been charged $550 for the part and two hours of labor ($180). Stay far away from this place because eitherA.) they are completely okay with ripping off customersorB.) they have no idea what a reasonable part price is and will pay an exorbitant amount at the expense of the customer

This place is honestly the best place to go to if you need to fix your car on a budget. I'm a full time student with a low income and caring for my disabled mother, so fixing my car is very low on my priority list when there are other things to worry about like eating and paying rent. So I have an '03 Mitsubishi gallant and it was rounding up close to it's first 100k miles and have been told their timing belts tend to be the first things to go, and that will F' up the engine. So here I am hoping and praying for my car to hold on a little longer, while I aquire some type of cash. I had gotten estimates from a few places ranging from 600-800. I had only came here because I remember my dad taking me here a few years back and had given him a good deal on his car, so there I went one more estimate wouldn't hurt. I took my mom since she's the negotiator of the family but honestly there was no need. The owner Jose is a hella cool guy who was straight up about everything I explained my situation and he said no worries I can do that for alot cheaper and a 1 year warranty. Like I said the owner was very friendly as well as his workers and they were all very knowledgeable in their line of work. He told me it would be done by Saturday took it in late Friday and if anything he'd give me a call just to let me know if he found something that also needed repair. He ended up calling me to tell me my hoses needed fixing since the new timing belt would put a lot of pressure to the old tattered tubes and could cause them to tear and create more issues. He did this with no extra charge. He even fixed a dead light in my headlight for free. This guy really helped a girl out honestly. He checked my a/c cuz I was having issues with it no problem. The original estimate is what i payed no hidden fees no nothing! Honestly you who's reading this and wondering should I come here DO IT. You won't regret it this guys work is hands down bloody good and the work environment is professional and he can refer you to other places if need be. I'M EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE I GOT. This is for sure my go to spot for my repairs from now on and for sure I'm recommending my friends and family. Thanks alot Jose customer for life here :)

Needed to get my rear differential serviced and finally after searching for prices and reviews, I decided to take the plunge on this place. And boy, was I right on coming here. Located on Whittier and in between Painter/Greenleaf, (its across the street from Tip Top Barber shop).Came in and was greeted by Jose I believe. Very friendly and knowledgable about his work and establishment. He offered me coffee and told me to Netflix and chill while I waited LOL! Typically when it comes to my vehicles being worked on, Im more inclined to watch the work done because as a mechanic I like to know the people who work on my trucks and get a sense of the operation and what they do. Well, I couldnt be anymore pleased after seeing the work done here. The guys I talked to really loved working at Baja and it makes sense why with the work they do and the enjoyment of servicing vehicles. It took about a few hours due to getting a special order of oil for my truck, but after that was all said and done I was on my way out! I was quoted $85 for the job and wouldve gladly paid more knowing how professional these guys were and how friendly they are to their customers. I would definitely recommend this place if anybody needs work done.Thanks again guys!

This new owner is a rip off, he did the oil leak on my tahoe, didn't do it right cause it still leaked tried to fix leak and still leaked.then refused to stand behind his warranty. They are very professional and polite Agustin is one of the best mechanics that I have ever met. I truly recommend this place they specialize in almost every type of car specially European like BMW, VW, Audi and Volvo.

Son unas mentirosas , lleve mi carro a reparar , un cambio de transmisi�n , la cambiaron me dijeron q le cambiar�an la computadora del transmisi�n bieja a la nueva para as� ya no tener que reprogramar la computadora , de otra manera el carro no caminar�a , estuve de acuerdo ellos son los expertos , bueno le montaron la transmisi�n pero no le cambiaron las partes como aviamos quedado , despu�s me llaman distiendo q mi carro ya estaba pero un problema ten�a mi carro". No caminaba me dijeron q tendr�a q reprogramar la computadora y q serian otros $240. Yo muy enojado ya q ellos no av�an cambiado las partes como av�an quedado ellos no me quedo de otra q aceptar el cobro de la reproducci�n, sele iso me llaman y me dicen q ya reprogramar on la computadora pero el carro no camina , q necesitaban otra transmisi�n y q me cobrar�an extra por cambiarla $1400 d�lares me enoje savia q me estafar�a ese taller , guy con un polic�a les quite mi carro esa misma noche me lleve el carro a otro mec�nico y que crees , nunca le pusieron aceite a la transmisi�n , ese fue el problema , el carro camina solo fue cuesti�n de poner aceite , y seguro estoy q ellos sab�an solo q pensaban robarme ahora lo tiene otro mec�nico solo para acer chequeo y ver si no le Isidro anomal�as
