I just had the best car repair experience of my life, and I've had many. I've studied years of auto shop actually, and I am comfortable with most maintenance and small repairs on a vehicle... but when my 2005 Chrysler Town & Country's transmission exploded on Whittier Blvd during my drive to work last Friday, I knew I needed help.I called six or seven local shops after my awful Geico insurance refused to use the roadside assistance I've paid for for eight months and therefore, I had assumed this debacle would be financially devastating. However, this place's quote was $700 cheaper than anybody else and they had a reasonable towing service that was only $90. (It sounds like a lot at first, but it's half the price of everybody else).I was towed in on a Friday afternoon, and even though they had a line of many cars ahead of me, as well as a parking lot full of cars... they understood my predicament. I live in this van and my whole life was becoming unraveled. I'm an IT contractor so I'm losing income whenever my vehicle out of commission.They allowed me to stay in my van over the weekend, and on Monday morning they installed a perfectly rebuilt transaxle for my 18 year old minivan. Rebuilding a transmission is what you want to do with a car this old because the alternative is buying a brand new but Chinese-made modern replacement which is not nearly as good.I admit, I have a hyper-curiosity for the repairs done to my home-vehicle, so I watched the entire process they did and I was incredibly impressed! Every step was by-the-book which went above and beyond my expectations. The whole job took about 5 hours (but the dude had a well-deserved lunch break in the middle).I had such a great talk with the owner and the employees. They are real dudes who are not here to rip you off. They work hard for their families. I got to watch them install the new torque converter in my new transaxle. Everything was so clean and the methods they use are meticulous. It was textbook.They put in new fluid and did a test drive. I've done some driving on it and it's so smooth, it feels illegal.Trust Felix. Be real and honest with him and he will treat you better than you're treated at home. I am recommending him to all my friends.

Bad service . My truck was missing bolts and nuts . After 6 months in there shop still not done . Not recommended

PLEASE DONT GO HERE!!!! UNLESS YOU WANT A DUCT TAPE FIX GO SOMEWERE ELSE!!! 25 years OF DUCT TAPE REPAIR....We took our 2004 Honda pilot to get looked at due to car revving in drive. The guy we bought the car off told us to take it here so the problem can get fixed (we didn't have to pay, the guy who sold us the car said he will pay) anyways.... FILEX said he knew exactly what the problem was, never told us exactly what so he had our car and "FIXED" the problem. We picked up the car and about 2 days later the same problem was back. So we decided not to take the car back to the shop and waisted our time!We ended up taking our car to A transmission & auto repair in Baldwin Park. the problem was our "sprag low & gear low & torque converter "Jorge Lopez "@A transmission & auto repair" fixed our problem within a week.Service: Transmission

Experience was horrible, Felix definately knows what he is doing. It s the installer who lacks work ethic. After several returns took my car elsewhere to fix.

I took my Honda Civic because it was stuck in gear. The car would roll forward when in park, car would not go in reverse. Got off the car walked toward shop there was a nice gentleman working on a car asked if i needed help, I told him the situation and he said talk to Felix. Felix was moving a car when he was done came to me so I told him the situation on the car. Got in the car shifted the gears and said lets lift the car to see what we can do. In less then 5 minutes they found the shifter linkage cable was loose. They put it back together and the car was back to normal. They recommended to change the shifter cable, unfortunately he said they can t do that there but did recommend a mechanic that would be able to fix it.Felix was super cool I asked him how much I owe him for the service, he said it s nothing don t worry about it. I only had $20 on me so I gave him that in appreciation for going out of his way to help me on the spot. Thank youService: Transmission

I will avoid this place, took my truck to get my transmission replaced. Got it back and they broke a shift linkage. Took it back they bubble gum fixed it . They never replaced my rear main seal even though they charged me for it. While driving for long distance the transmission loses high gear and I'm leaking trans fluid. Took it back again and it still leaks trans fluid and oil from the rear main. You pay what you get for.Update: I took my truck to AAMC and they told me the rear main was never replaced, follow by broken gear shifter linkage. The transmission was junk when they tore into it. Save your self time and money and avoid this place.They also didn't put my drive shaft on right.

This place is excellent.My Honda Accord with manual transmission was having clutch issues and they replaced both cylinders (Master and Slave - yes, that's what they are called) for a really good price.My clutch is like new on a car that has close to 246,000 miles on it.Staff is super, friendly, great to deal with and they even gave me a courtesy ride to and from work while my car was there for the repair.

Now I know the reviews here are very positive so I mustve either came in at a bad time or something else so bear with me. Came here Friday morning to get my rear differential serviced after speaking to with a gentleman the day prior while Im getting quoted on prices at numerous shops. Tells me its $75 for the service. Great deal I think to myself..anyways flash forward to that and I pull up. Greeted by a nice woman who asks me what Im here for and explain to her what I need done. Unfortunately either shes not familiar or experienced in the automotive industry but she didnt understand what I needed done, so she explained to her colleague in spanish everything. (I guess he doesnt speak any english because she did all the translating back and forth)Anyways, they have no idea what Im asking about so they go and ask a mechanic outside what I want. Then again now I explain to the mechanic and he says no problem. She then gives me a work order invoice and then tells me I need to write down what I want done. A little unsettling knowing I have to write my own work order to tell them what needs to be done, I mean, shouldnt you guys know and fill this out? I finish filling it out and see a $75 diagnostic fee. I ask the girl, "Im not paying for this right? It doesnt need a diagnostic, it just needs be to serviced" and she tries to tell me no, no you will not pay this, but we just connect to tell whats wrong with your vehicle and again Im inclined to decline because the vehicle doesnt need a computer diagnostic test. After that is said and done, then she tells me, "ok, its $140. Is that ok?" Ummm, no? I tell her I was quoted for $75 and her and the employee dont know about it so basically long story short basically my work quote wasnt for the work, it was for just the damn diagnostic test. So I thanked them politely and left to a shop with a better deal and not so uncomfortable vibe from this shop.In the end, Im sure they do fine work here but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth that I wouldnt come back under any circumstance with the lack of knowledge and any sort of price board for the work they do at their shop.

We took our truck in for a transmission rebuild service. After having to tow it back to them a week after the rebuild they promised to fix it. Again, after they "fixed"the trans, we're left on the side of the road. The truck is still not working properly, and they charged for labor each time it arrived in the shop. Hopefully they will reimburse me somewhat for trouble they caused.Service: Transmission

Great place to go to if you need an honest mechanic that does quality work. Good pricing also. The prices were lower than everywhere else that quoted me for the work i needed on my car.

Not sure this place used new parts to fix my car. Kept taking it back for my money back but they said they'll fix it but it didnt work. My car was still messed up. Not a good place to go. I dont recommend it.

well I they have doing transmission for me over 30 years all this time I have some of what problems but there is no perfection on this can of job but he always fix the problem and steel I recommended I live in Bakersfield ca and I steel do business with this shop thxs
