Been going to Mike for many years and have recommended him to all friends and family. Very honest, tries to save me money and never have had a problem with this work. He is very busy and you have to sometimes wait a day or so for your car, but it's worth it. Best mechanic I've had in 10 years.

I've been going here for 20 years. Mike is like a good friend who wants what is best for you and not what makes him money. He has told me on several occasions what was wrong with my car and to just do it myself since he knew I could. He has advised me not to fix things when he knows it's not worth it. I had a Ford explorer with a transmission problem that would have cost more to fix than the car was worth, he said to just cut my losses and sell it as is. I had a Chevy Malibu that was overheating, he replaced the head gasket that was leaking(very cheap), yet it still over heated. I came back mad, but he assured me he would fix it. He did, small leak in the overflow bottle, no extra charge, only parts. Fixed my starter on my Camry instead of replacing the whole starter, charged 20 bucks. He put a used motor in my sister's car and it ran till the rest of the car starting falling apart, lasted 10 extra years. I moved farther away so I went to another shop in Orange and had a wheel bearing changed. I paid more than I think I should have and it went bad again after one year. So back to TKP I went. Fixed it for less and no more bearing noise. I've sent all my friends and family there and they all love him. He can be a little gruff sometimes, but don't let that bother you. I think it's a cultural thing as I work with Vietnamese and they are brash at times. And as for the guy who tried to talk him down on his price, I wish I was there when he told your dumb ass to leave! Way to go Mike!

THE BEST. Over 10 years ago a bunch of motor heads in Seal Beach referred me to TKP and I have been going to him since. I live over 40 miles away and I make a day of my returns. There is even an Enterprise Car Rental walking distance that has GREAT rental prices is needed. I've NEVER had to return my vehicle to fix what he already fixed. I recommend him to EVERYONE I like. The others don't deserve him.

Mike does excellent work! He has never tried hustling me by upselling unnecessary additionals, like most businesses out there attempt to do. He's always, only offered honest recommendations. My father was a true and honest mechanic when he was alive; Mike has the same kind of good integrity. Fair prices and excellent work. So sad more businesses aren't like TKP Auto. He's a professional, doing and overseeing the jobs in his shop; as a former business owner/operator myself, I understand his frustration when people come in to "haggle" his prices down. Like anybody making a living, he's trying to feed his family not rip you off. He doesn't have time to engage in a bidding war to auction his figures down. If you're going to his shop to "haggle" over his prices, don't get sensitive if he hurts your feelings lol.

Fair and honest mechanic. That sentence is rarely ever uttered in Auto Repair. The only downfall with that is, others have found out how good he is, therefor wait times can be long. If you're not in a rush this is a place to take your car.

Honest, straightforward, pleasant, knowledgeable, sincere and fair; you will find here everything that you don't expect to but want to get from any mechanic. If you looking to be lied to, don't come here.

This is the best place to bring your car for service,you would never worry about the price and they only charge with time they spend with your car,never over prices
