Eddie & his team know exactly what they are doing when it comes to car repairs!! I had to issues with my car, one seemed more severe, but I was reassured that everything was okay and they would be able to order the part and repair the other problem!! They were very quick and very responsive and courteous!! And I can t forget how efficient!! Was able to pick up my car today after having the diagnostic done less then a week ago! Highly recommend and if I need anything else for my car I know my car is in greats hands at Maxat Hybrid!! Thank you To you Eddie & your team!

Knowledgeable hybrid specialists who work quickly and charge fair prices. While they're servicing your car, they will also email pictures of items to keep an eye on.I do agree with another reviewer that they should have asked before sticking a Maxat Hybrid Repair sticker on my door jamb, but I have had Toyota dealers do the same thing.

I had the best experience here, their communication was wonderful from start to finish, with check ins, and reminders of appointments. I took in my brother's prius for an engine swap. When we picked up the car we tried telling them that there were dashboard lights on that we never seen before. The 1st thing they said was that, "the clock spring was broken and that they could've give me a good price". I tried to plead with them that we never had a clock spring issue. They never did a precheck list prior to the work.My brother's wife was driving the car and lost control on the freeway, my brother paid $800 to get the clock spring fix at another shop. Max never took any responsibility nor showed any compassion for the situation. I ended up buying the car myself to avoid any strain between brothers due to the fact I insisted on using this shop.Max. I know you work with family but I strongly recommend investigating the matter instead of automatically accusing the customer of lying.

I have a 2008 Prius I was having electric and brake problems with. I brought it in to get diagnosed and the person I worked with told me I had a damaged cell in my hybrid battery, and needed to replace my 12 volt battery. I replaced the 12 volt right then, and was quoted 1200$ for cell repair on my battery. He told me that my BRAKE issues were connected to my batteries and that replacing the 12 volt might solve it, but it might be the hybrid battery - give it a week to see. After talking to other hybrid shops I was told cell repair is only a temporary fix, so I opted to replace it and got a quote at AT automotive for 900$ with a 12 month warranty. My brakes STILL were having issues. I popped my hood to see my brake fluid was EXTREMELY low. Filled it up with 5$ worth of fluid and guess what? My brake problems were fixed. Shame on this shop for not checking my brake fluid when I brought my car in for BRAKE problems!!! The only reason I am giving two stars is because the owner refunded me for the 12v battery, which was halfway decent of him. He refused to pay for the other shops work, even though I went there based off of Maxat's diagnosis.Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle safety inspection

December 2022Three months later, my oil pressure gauge stopped working and I brought my truck in hoping for repairs. After some analysis, it seemed that my old engine, with over 200,000 miles on it was shot and repairing the gauge would be nothing more than throwing good money at what would be a temporary fix. The truck needed a new engine. A used engine with 71,000 miles on it was ordered and delivered. Once at the shop the engine was installed, a task taking almost a week. During the installation I received numerous calls keeping me informed of the progress and asking for oks when parts were needed. Once finished I picked the truck up and drove it home, about 40 miles, with no problems what so ever. Fantastic work and so pleased I'm sending the mechanic $20 for lunch money.From September, 2022These guys are fantastic, both service and repair prices. So good I tipped them when paying my bill. I've never done that at an auto repair facility before. I can't recommend this shop enough. They were able to fit me in almost right away and reseal the engine timing cover and get it running. They did it very quickly and had it ready in like two days. I have driven 1000 miles on it and everything seems good. Thank you. I do wish there was a bit better explanation of what was wrong, but they did their job well so am happy.Service: Engine repair

so my 2014 prius blew a head gasket around late March 2022 and before it got worse I brought it in here. Never been here before and it was the first time I had been, so all I had to go off of was basically the reviews on here. NGL, the process from drop-off of the car to pick-up was definitely non-standard with very little interaction (though I did do a night drop). Didn't really get any calls for work authorization or updates on like you would with a dealership while they work on your car, basically just a text when the repairs were done and car was ready for pick-up (not that that's a bad thing, just not what many might be used to). Came in to pick up the car and spoke with someone (Max?) about what they found- he was cool and showed me the head gasket and where the leaks were (as a "heads-up" ('scuse the pun- they may not be obvious breaks in the gasket- mine simply had the black coating of the gasket rubbed off revealing the metallic silver part underneath, but that apparently can be enough for a gasket leak). After that I simply paid via their pay kiosk thingy (same swingaround kind you see in restaurants) which asked me if I wanted to leave a tip on my some $1500 bill and that was it lol.Now, NGL again, I must say having taken my prius to an auto shop I'd never been to run by a bunch of not-too social Russian guys with just a text message letting me know my car was ready for pickup, I was just a tad bit concerned about whether the repairs were legit and would hold up. Well let me just say shortly after picking up my car I drove that thing ACROSS THE COUNTRY and STILL am driving it out in Virginia with absolutely NO ISSUES.At about 5months later now, I have been VERY happy with the quality of work done considering I have had no further symptoms of a blown head gasket (ie., very rough cold start & idle). Definitely would come back and would recommend this shop to anyone else with a toyota hybrid.

Maxat hybrid is one of my favorite shops. They are very professional, take care of your car well. They work with hybrid vehicles and regular too. I didn't know, but they also sell some parts for Mercedes and Porsche and helping with DMV registration services.The prices are great, very competitive. Had only a positive experience and highly recommend to chose this place.

I got my hybrid vehicle fixed here. My check engine light was on, the hybrid system seems to be not connected with the car, and wouldn't drive pass 70 per miles. Thankfully, they got it all done in just only a couple of days. Customer service is definitely on their top priority list for sure. Price looks very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Had a check engine light and my AC went out. Charged $130 to diagnose and found my Freon had leaked out. No leak found. Recharged for $160. Can't beat their service and prices. They are my new mechanic. Great work! Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

I bought a car from Stan at the shop next door and took my car here for service. These guys are amazing and all super chill! Super quick and fast oil change! If you own a Prius then you shouldn t hesitate to bring your car here for all it s need. I originally found these guys on a Prius chat forum. My Prius when we originally got it had a blown head gasket on it. I took it to them and they diagnosed it a few hours. They kept in contact with me the whole time. Sent pictures of what was wrong with the head as well as a few other parts of our car, and gave us quotes and a choir on what we wanted fixed. Obviously the head gasket needed it. As well as a few other parts that effect driving and it s performance. After I agreed to have the work done, Max ordered an executive Lyft for us to be brought home as there were five of us They began the work the same day. I got a call from Max the next morning saying my car was ready. Now after I drove it around we realized that there was still one more thing that needed replacement which we kind of figured might have needed to but we re hoping we could get by without having it replaced That took a few hours and I was back on the road! Our Prius has been going strong ever since I ve got a few other things replaced here on it. I also don t go anywhere else for oil change. They treat you like family. And they make sure to have your car back up an running without throwing parts at it and wasting your money!!!

100% recommend! My son lives in Sacramento for college. He called me the other day and said his Prius had the red triangle of death@ I told him not to drive it and searched for a Hybrid specialist. I found Maxat and booked an online reservation right away. I called to let them know we were towing it in. Right after it was delivered they did diagnostics and send repair estimate. Turned out I had the part at my house we needed, I shipped it to him and they installed the following day and he was on his way. They sent text and emails keeping us informed through the entire process. This will be our new go to hybrid shop in Northern California!!!

Max and his team are outstanding!!! They worked hard and fast to fix my Prius. I was impressed by the quick turn around time for my car, and the amount of communication, information, and transparency during the repair process. The pricing is very fair, and I sincerely appreciate that I was not taken advantage of in my vulnerable and desperate situation. Thanks MAXAT auto repair!!!!

I love my Prius but recently I had some problems with it and I felt that my usual workshop was overcharging and not really caring about my problem. When a friend recommended to that I try out MAXAT Hybrid Repair, at first I was reluctant because it was a bit further away but my friend insisted and man am I happy now that I invested those extra 15 minutes of driving.MAXAT serviced my car with the highest standard of professionalism, not only was the problem fixed that very same day but I also felt they gave a great service by taking my concerns seriously and communicating well. On top of that they did not engage in the usual overcharging routine that I am used to from other shops and I even ended up paying less than I had budgeted for.These guys are true professionals that knows what they are doing and they deliver a great five star service. I will definitely go back to MAXAT Hybrid Repair the next time I need repairs or service.

Have been coming here since they were at their other location and fortunately, I live in West Sac so they re much closer! So bonus points on the location. I ve been taking my highlander hybrid there for over 2 years now for maintenance. One time, we had to take it to a dealership and I felt the pressure to add more services. Here at Maxat, I do not feel pressured to do extra unnecessary services. They recommmend what should be done but if I feel it s not needed at the time, they don t pressure me. Very reasonable prices and I feel like my car is taken care of!

The instrument panel of my 2009 Prius was occasionally going blank, and the car wouldn t turn off right away. First Maxat reset the problem for free. It came back, and they replaced the control unit. Fixed! Prompt, efficient, and reasonably priced. Good job!

When I was in California Maxat Hybrid provided me with probably the best automobile repairing service in this parts of US. I had some problem with my Prius on last weekend and visited these guys; had a great experience. The team is very good; they take really good care of the car and thoroughly inspect the problems, quickly resolve the same. They also provide original parts and are endorsed to Toyota. If you are looking for a tangible solution then it is highly recommended.Again thanks Maxat for the great service.

Thank you so much for the service, I really appreciated the kind one on one attention I got when I visited Maxat Hybrid Repair. I was having a problem with the batteries in my Prius and they were able to fix my issues in a very short amount of time. They are definitely worth a trip to if you are having issues with your hybrid car. Highly recommended.

I drive a trusty Toyota Prius but I recently had some problems with it having had some minor accidents and all - with hybrid battery problems. I looked online and found the Maxat Hybrid Repair Service. The service was impeccable - and there was a young man who promised me that the repairs would take only 2 days maximum. They knew what they were doing and talking about and even gave me a little discount. NO WHERE in the world had I encounted such excellent service and reputation - they care for you and your car and your wallet! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Maxat Hybrid Repair Service has got very professional and technically sound staff. The team is very caring as well and gives exceptional customer services. Their quick approach to figure out the exact cause of the problem is truly inspiring. This helps saving time and money. The problems of hybrid battery repair are often complicated; fortunately they are very expert in solving such issues. They have a setup to provide parts as well which is another great convenience. The facilities at their waiting area are really impressive, which provides very comfortable and friendly environment. Another feature of their services is guarantee, i.e. you can get the fault fixed free of cost if it appears again with in specific period of time. They are very honest in their dealings and provide reasonable justification for the suggested repair works. For the value of time, money, respect, honesty and professionalism, I strongly recommend them.

I had a great & fast experience at Maxat. I learned through Priuschat that there was a problem with my inverter coolant pump and they replaced the pump very quickly, and they troubleshooted another problem which ended up just being a loose connection on the 12v battery.Based on my experience I recommend them and would definitely come to Maxat again if I need.

Got my Prius suspensions replaced back in July 2020.Now it's March of 2021, took my car in because it had suspension issues again.
